Dispatches From Armageddon

By The Conundrum

Democrats predicted “Armageddon” if tax cuts passed Congress, but the middle class already has several reasons to celebrate.

Earlier today, NBC’s Savannah Guthrie asked Speaker Ryan if he was living in a “fantasy world” for thinking the bill will lead to higher wages and economic growth.

Here are just a few dispatches from said “fantasy world”:

Of course, your favorite media outlets are doing their very best to hide the news from the American public:

Update on BadBlue: My Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers running BadBlue News are offline and can't be restarted. This appears to be isolated to my servers, as AWS status indicates there are no problems with any service. I have not received any updates on my Help Desk ticket. This is the first major outage in 5 years of running the service. I leave conclusions to the reader.

Can you imagine what President Trump would do if he had a magic wand?

Do what everyone else does--avoid anything Jeff Bezos, Google, or Zuckerberg like the plague. There are independently operated and powerful web servers everywhere.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that large corporations are doing this prior to year's end in order to get a tax break for 2017 and then another Trump tax break in 2018. Also, don't companies get tax breaks for things like minority hiring, job training, and charitable giving? And, might these deductions be reduced/elminated now?

And, while I applaud Trump's watershed achievement, the real issue is reducing government spending - more people working and thus off the welfare roles might help this (ala Reagan's tax cuts of the 80s) - but fundamental reductions are needed, and this has yet to be seen.
