"Upside down, inside out, and b...directorblue

"Upside down, inside out, and backwards" was the gist by an admitted administration Marxist, and that's what we have. The leviathan has become comfortable with representing government to us, a fact a Constitutionalist is not required to recognize. Unfortunately, Cruz is perceived as a member of The Club, a member of which we cannot be, let alone have a trustworthy representative to. To The Club, Trump is a tux with brown shoes, eliciting a visceral reaction among beta males.

Trump is indeed a dealmaker; but to exclude 'corporatist' interests is merely the reverse of the standard 'not all' argument. Not all Muslims are terrorists, even if their Book demands it. But excluding them temporarily is a sensible reaction. Not all immigrants are layabouts, but legal ones don't like those that are, either. Not all corporations are corrupt; indeed they are needed for a valid, actual recovery.

Anger is good - righteous anger - but The Club doesn't like anger at all. They like submission. We Americans suck at that.

Those whose living is in media, notably while differentiating themselves from the MSM, often sound like members of the The Club, and with every word against Trump, marginalize themselves. They must stop, before the self-inflicted damage is irrevocable.Martinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6034478.post-45413816168653252792016-01-16T09:14:23.292-05:002016-01-16T09:14:23.292-05:00Martin, good post, but remember, at heart Mr. Trum...Martin, good post, but remember, at heart Mr. Trump is a dealmaker.

And Cruz is a Constitutionalist. He doesn't cut deals that hurt the country. That's why the GOPe fear him and why they are now cozying up to Trump. But rather then dwell on the past, I choose to hear what he's saying now. Right Now. Stop moslim immigration. Deport all illegals. Build a wall. Stop the poor trade deals we make. Repeal ObamaCare. Solid on 2A. "syrian refugees" are going back. Rebuild our military.

He's repeated these solutions so many times that any pullback once he's elected will draw a firestorm of ill will. What does that ill will look like? It looks exactly like what we're seeing now with the conservative reaction to getting lied to in 2010 and 2014 by Republican leadership in Congress. This is why Trump will win, because we believe him.

Is Lucy going to pull the ball away? Again? I do not believe so.
MMAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6034478.post-56057394601487105652016-01-16T08:11:35.740-05:002016-01-16T08:11:35.740-05:00I am sick of the government, sick of both parties....I am sick of the government, sick of both parties. I like Levin and CR; the value of promoting the tenets of conservatism as Limbaugh also does is inestimable. However, the notion of it is carried by the GOP brand to the masses, in counterpoint to the very left-slidden Democrats. While the interval between the two has been maintained, the perception gap is enormous. This piece is but a reprise of 'Trump isn't a conservative' narrative - and it just doesn't matter.

Why? Lawyers, judges and politicians have brought us to this sorry mess. Trump is none of the above. His motivations are that of a businessman surviving in that environment. He builds things. There's not an insincere bone in his body, at least not as can be discerned.

The GOP, and those who claim not to be complicit, declare he's not conservative, while declaring a conservative would be disaster for the party. A broadened base, they say, is what they want. Trump has that. Forgive the comparison, but so did Reagan. Shut up, and toe the line, they say. We must resist Trump, and marginalize his supporters, they say, and no effort will be left untried. He attacks from the left, they say, while losing their asses to such tactics, cycle after cycle.

It's not really about conservatism, is it? Have your schtick, get the ratings, we believe you, we tune in - but Trump is doing what you say Republicans cannot. He's winning. Better you should examine why, than take him apart because you don't like HOW he's doing it.

Trump is making every one of his detractors look like fools.Martinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6034478.post-16286535825670154892016-01-15T21:43:03.703-05:002016-01-15T21:43:03.703-05:00I agree that Trump must be scrutinized by the vote...I agree that Trump must be scrutinized by the voters very carefully. We can't leave the vetting to the party hacks anymore,we know the types they pick. The dilemma is that the people who have decided to support Trump will not vote for the other candidates, for the most part. They've been there, done that with little to show for it a few too many times. So if there's a better than average chance that he will be what he claims he will be as President,we will probably give him the chance to prove it.Knowing that his background is in getting things done without the waste and abuse of governmental 'blunderbussery',the hope being that he won't do things the way they've been done before.Let's hope for that, and check this guy out a lot better than the press and the democrat voters check out your average democrat looking for their first real job.chester arthurnoreply@blogger.com
