TWIT: Court Declares Officials Can’t Block People On Social Media

By William Teach

Remember the whole issue about a few whiny unhinged tools attempting to sue because President Trump blocked them on Twitter? Well, there’s this, via Hot Air:

I first wrote about a lawsuit brought by the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University a couple of months ago. As you may recall, it involves a group of people who had been blocked on Twitter by President Trump after some of their “constructive criticism” (read: trolling) apparently generated enough spam in his mentions column to be noticed. This was somehow interpreted as a First Amendment violation, leading to the pending lawsuit.

TOTALITARIAN MEDIA: Destroying the First Amendment

By Daniel Greenfield

Once upon a time there was a liberal media. Like most left-leaning institutions it worked hard to prove its progressive premises. Democrats were good and Republicans bad. The police and the military were bad. Social welfare spending and diplomacy were good. Israel was bad and the PLO was good.

This was the thing we used to nostalgically call media bias.

We aren’t dealing with a liberal media anymore, but an illiberal media. The liberal media was content to use its institutional power as a megaphone to broadcast its views. But you could debate those views. Actual conservatives were allowed to write columns, and not just as a strategic attack on some element of the GOP the way it is now, and appear on television to offer opinions, and not just as punching bags.

The liberal media was convinced it would win the argument because it was right.

HOUSE INTEL CHAIR: Obama Staffers Issued HUNDREDS of Illegal Unmasking Requests

By Tyler Durden

After being forced to recuse himself from his committee's investigation of the 'Russian meddling' controversy earlier this year (see: House Intel Committee Chair Nunes Recuses Himself From Russia Probe), Devin Nunes has thrust himself back into the national spotlight by drafting a letter to the Director of National Intelligence, Dan Coats, saying he has evidence that several of Obama's top political aides made hundreds of unmasking requests in the waning days of Obama's administration even though they offered no legitimate reason to do so and some of them didn't even serve in an intelligence position.

FUSION GPS: The Democrat-Russian Assassination Lobby

MUST-READ: Testimony of William Browder to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Democrat/Russian violations of federal law connected to the anti-Magnitsky Campaign by the Russian government and its proxies (PDF)

Chairman Grassley, Ranking Member Feinstein and members of the committee, thank you for giving me the opportunity to testify today on the Russian government’s attempts to repeal the Magnitsky Act in Washington in 2016, and the enablers who conducted this campaign in violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, by not disclosing their roles as agents for foreign interests.

Before I get into the actions of the agents who conducted the anti-Magnitsky campaign in Washington for the benefit of the Russian state, let me share a bit of background about Sergei Magnitsky and myself.

I am the founder and CEO of Hermitage Capital Management. I grew up in Chicago, but for the last 28 years I’ve lived in Moscow and London, and am now a British citizen. From 1996 to 2005, my firm, Hermitage Capital, was one of the largest investment advisers in Russia with more than $4 billion invested in Russian stocks.

AND THE HITS JUST KEEP ON COMING: Arrested DNC IT Staffer Owed Money to... Hezbollah Terrorists

By Luke Rosiak

Congressional aides suspected of criminally misusing their access to House computer systems owed $100,000 to an Iraqi politician who is wanted by U.S. authorities and has been linked to Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed Middle Eastern terrorist outfit.

Imran Awan and four of his relatives were employed as information technology (IT) aides by dozens of House Democrats, including members of the intelligence, foreign affairs and homeland security committees. The aides’ administrator-level IT access was terminated earlier this month amid a criminal probe by U.S. Capitol Police of a suspected security breach, including an off-site server housing congressional data.

The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group has reported that while working for Congress, the Pakistani brothers controlled a limited liability corporation called Cars International A (CIA), a car dealership with odd finances, which took–and was unable to repay–a $100,000 loan from Dr. Ali Al-Attar.

LEGION OF LIARS: Levin Flays "Republicans" Who Saved Obamacare

By Nate Madden

Republican senators who voted to block an Obamacare repeal are “hypocrites” and “liars” who ought to be defeated at the ballot box “at all costs,” Mark Levin said during his national radio show.

The Wednesday evening segment came just hours after a “clean repeal” of Obamacare – promoted by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. – was killed in the Senate by a small cadre of seven GOP lawmakers.

Of those, Levin went on to point out, all but Sen. Susan Collins voted for the same bill when it was expected to be vetoed by then-President Obama, but would not do so with a Republican president in the White House.

“The vote today demonstrates that the Republican Party is the party of a progressive movement,” Levin said of the outcome, and that the party of Presidents Ronald Reagan and Calvin Coolidge is gone.

THE BEST PART OF AMAZON’S RISE TO MONOPOLISTIC SUPREMACY? Taxpayers are Subsidizing It

While I believe completely in the concept of "creative destruction", Michael Walsh's latest column is well worth a careful review.

He points us to a fascinating article by the Wall Street Journal's Josh Sandbulte, who notes that taxpayers are subsiding Amazon with a $1.46 payment for each box it delivers.

GO FIGURE: Busted Pakistani IT Staffer for the DNC Lawyers Up With... Clinton Cronies

The scandal involving an entire family of Pakistanis who served as IT staffers for various Democrat Congress-critters keeps widening.

To recap, a trio of Pakistani brothers (Abid, Imran, and Jamal Awan) who managed IT for key Democrats including the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence have been accused of improperly accessing data, bank fraud, stealing computers, not showing up for their jobs, and various other crimes.

Former DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has played a key role in covering up for the Awan family, refusing to fire Awan for months even after he was the target of multiple investigations, preventing the FBI from accessing hard-drives, and going so far as to threaten police for seizing Democrats' computers as evidence.

And earlier today, Jordan Schachtel of Conservative Review reports that the Clinton syndicate is now involved with defending the (ahem, alleged) primary perp, Imran Awan:

SNOPES TAKEN HOSTAGE: Left-wing "fact-checker" reveals it has lost control of its website

At one point in the distant past of the Interwebs, Snopes.com was taken seriously as a leading de-bunker of urban myths.

As the years went by, its founders -- a once-married couple named David and Barbara Mikkelson -- decided to drift into political commentary. As their site grew, they hired an openly partisan, left-wing blogger named Kim Lacapria.

Lacapria had earlier declared herself "openly left-leaning" and very liberal. She has tarred conservatives as "teahadists" who "fear female agency".

After joining Snopes, Lacapria quickly found herself and the site embroiled in controversy as her various posts read like Democrat op-eds and not any sort of fact-checking.

#FakeMedia Curiously Silent as FBI Seizes Smashed Hard Drives From Wasserman Schultz IT Aide’s Home

By Luke Rosiak

FBI agents seized smashed computer hard drives from the home of Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s information technology (IT) administrator, according to two sources with knowledge of the investigation.

Pakistani-born Imran Awan, long-time right-hand IT aide to the former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman, has since desperately tried to get the hard drives back, an individual whom FBI investigators interviewed in the case told The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group.

MUELLER IS THE STORY: How Trump Can Shut Down the Out-of-Control "Special Counsel" Probe

By Rush Limbaugh

PMSNBC is reporting that Sean Spicer has just resigned. Fox News has picked it up. It probably goes together with the naming of Scaramucci as the new communications director in the White House, Anthony Scaramucci. This guy looks 22, he’s probably 50. He does. He is one of these guys that has a little boy look. That’s not a criticism; it’s just an observation.

So Spicer has resigned. Scaramucci, Anthony Scaramucci, if the name rings a bell, he was the subject of that fraudulent lying POS story that CNN had. (laughing) Sorry. It’s been a long week, and I am worn out. I have to tell you, I’m worn out. I didn’t get to bed ’til three o’clock last night ’cause I couldn’t tear myself away from what I was doing.

REAL COLLUSION, MEDIA SCHMUCKS: Convicted Clinton Foreign Financier Returns To U.S.

By Richard Pollock

When James Riady and his family’s company, called the Lippo Group, pled guilty to campaign fraud in the 1990s for donations to Bill Clinton, it looked as if the Indonesian-based businessman’s days were over — and just another ugly chapter of American political history.

Yet, starting in 2011 when Hillary Clinton was secretary of state, the Riadys started their return to the United States through a new Chinese subsidiary called Lippo China Resources, which sought to become a minority owner in a Utah company called CS Mining.

Riady’s Lippo China Resources hopes to obtain majority ownership of the Utah company at a bankruptcy court hearing Friday in Salt Lake City. They are trying to acquire the land — the size of Manhattan — at fire-sale prices, The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group has found.

IT’S NOT DELIVERY: It’s Da Democrats! #NewDemSlogans

By Micah:

Aside from the obvious similarity to the Papa John’s slogan (“Better Ingredients. Better Pizza. Papa John's.”), the Democrats’ new slogan is being ripped to shreds, especially by Team Obama.

The reviews are in, and I think it’s safe to say the Democrats still don’t have a message...

WELL, IT IS CHICAGO: Whackjob Tribune Columnist Slams... National Anthem

By Daniel John Sobieski

Exercising the freedoms of speech and press that so many have given their last measure of devotion for, Chicago Tribune contributor Diana Goetsch has penned an op-ed defending disgraced and unemployed former NFL quarterback Colin  Kaepernick and his infamous taking the knee during the national anthem. Not stopping there, Goetsch goes on to slam the national anthem as a “pompous battle number” that wasn’t played before sporting events until 1942 in the dark days of World War II.

One wonders if Goetsch has pondered the possibility that were if not for the sacrifice of veterans during World War II, she just might be plying her trade writing her tirades in Japanese or German.

THE OBAMACARE REPEAL DEBACLE: Center-Right Media Slams Mitch McConnell For His Latest Failure

By Will Ricciardelli

Senate Republicans — and not President Donald Trump — are in the center-right media’s crosshairs if the Senate fails to repeal Obamacare, all early indications show. Where in the Senate, however, the blame lies — liberals, conservatives, leadership — depends on where you look.

The Drudge Report, a powerful center-right web aggregator that was an early Trump booster, lambasted congressional Republicans, running the headline “most unproductive Congress in 164 years” at the top of the site.

The Obamacare overhaul looks like it may be torpedoed in the Senate after Republican senators from the left and the right of the party said they will vote against it.

7 Years of Promising Obamacare Repeal Leaves Republicans Just 1 Option

By Jarrett Stepman

Obamacare is failing.

It has done little to fulfill its original promise of producing more choice and lower costs, and worse, has set off a cascading set of problems that will increasingly hurt the American people.

When President Donald Trump was asked Tuesday if the bill to repeal Obamacare was dead, he responded:

I don’t think it’s dead, no. But I’m certainly disappointed. For seven years, I’ve been hearing ‘repeal and replace’ from Congress, and I’ve been hearing it loud and strong. And then when we finally get a chance to repeal and replace, they don’t take advantage of it. So that’s disappointing.

On Twitter, Trump also suggested that we should just let Obamacare “fail” so we can fix it later with a good health care plan.

COVERING PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS? Call It What It Is. Welfare, Not Insurance.

By Rush Limbaugh

Can someonte tell me why should insurance companies have to cover people who got sick and didn’t have insurance and now want to get — why should they have to cover that?

Do you realize doing that raises everybody’s premiums? That isn’t even insurance. If we want to provide insurance for people, preexisting conditions, set up a separate entitlement called the preexisting conditions welfare plan. It isn’t insurance, and it raises everybody’s premiums. It’s what’s wrong with this.

Do not misunderstand me, please, folks. I am not opposed to people with preexisting conditions being treated. We are a compassionate country. But it isn’t insurance...

JIM QUINN: Nagivating Through Our Storms

By Jim Quinn

Several weeks ago I had to drive west on the Pennsylvania Turnpike to pick up my son after his sophomore year at Penn State. I’ve made this trip a dozen times over the last few years, since this is my second son attending Penn State, with a third starting in the Fall. It’s a tedious, boring, protracted, four hour trek through the rural countryside of the Keystone State. During these trips my mind wanders, making connections between the landscape and the pressing issues facing the world. I can’t help but get lost in my thoughts as the miles accumulate like dollars on the national debt clock.

More often than not I end up making the trip in the midst of bad weather. And this time was no different.

THE CHECKLIST: What we demand that Robert Mueller tell us about Russian collusion

By Lloyd Billingsley

Christopher Wray, President Trump’s nominee for FBI director is drawing bipartisan approval and appears headed for confirmation. Wray does not doubt the intelligence community on Russian interference in the 2016 election and he does not consider Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe a witch hunt. As FBI director he would provide Mueller with all appropriate resources for his investigation.

Senator Ted Cruz describes Mueller as a “good and honorable man,” and Sen. John Thune calls the former FBI boss “a man of integrity” and perfect for the Russia probe. “He is going to get to the bottom and he is going to find the facts,” Thune told MSNBC. The Special Counsel should start at the very beginning of Russian intervention in American elections.

The Blithering Idiocy of the #NeverTrump Elites

By Bruce Thornton

When I was a kid, an outfit called Big Time Wrestling would come to town. The favorite rivalry was between stage gringo Ray Stevens and the chivalric Pepper Gomez. Fierce disputes over which champion was better would break out on the playground after a bout. Then one day an older Mexican kid shattered our illusions by informing us that he had seen Stevens and Gomez laughing together over dinner in Chinatown.

Welcome to American politics, where the educational and economic elites, especially in the bicoastal politico-media complex, are bound together by a privilege that transcends the lurid dramas of conflicting ideologies.
