Before the election, we were told that Trump was a Nazi and his jackbooted thugs would take over and put people into camps and treat them as nonhumans. That is, to do what was only done previously in America by Democrats.

Society is more divided now than at any time since the Civil War. People hate other people because of who they voted for. People are even choosing friends and breaking apart from family members based on who they supported in the last election. Beyond Facebook unfriending, relationships are impacted. It’s based on fear, disappointment, and hatred, and it seems to be all coming from one side.

Leftists said if Trump won, that there’d be violent mobs of hate, and intolerant fascists would try to silence those with whom they disagree. And they were right. It just was by a group of people from which they didn’t expect it: themselves.

In a recent article, “Surge in foreign students may be crowding Americans out of elite colleges,” The Washington Post accidentally blurted out the truth about one of the factors affecting the rising cost of college for American students. The percentage of foreign students enrolling in both public and private colleges and universities has skyrocketed. Their sponsors, Middle East governments and regimes like China, buy their way into American colleges and universities for their own students, forcing up costs for the dwindling number of Americans fortunate enough to gain admission.

It is estimated that over one million international students are enrolled in U.S. colleges and universities. That figure has doubled in 15 years. And that growing international enrollment is crowding out qualified U.S. students.

I'd be more a lot more snarky if the human toll wasn't so devastating. The sad fact remains: progressives don't get it and never will.

Their policies are based on emotion, not facts. Feelings, not human experience.

Their policies are those of a cult, not a real political party.

Most political parties recognize when, for example, six decades of failure have left some of their primary consitituency groups in ruins.

Democrats don't.

They never learn because they're incapable of learning.

It's not a story out of the Soviet Union though Oleg Atbashian, an artist, activist and commentator, had gotten in trouble for defying the authorities there too.

"Back in my Soviet dissident days, when I was collecting signatures in defense of Andrei Sakharov, I was screamed at, threatened, and lectured by the KGB and Communist funcionaries. What I never imagined was that in the United States, the land of the free, I would not only be subjected to similar treatment, but go to jail," Oleg writes.

But that's exactly what happened to him.

That's when campus police stood by as a hate-Israel group, the General Union of Palestinian Students (GUPS), shouted down and disrupted a lecture by Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat, prompting much criticism of SFSU's president, Leslie Wong.

But there's worse. As revealed by an investigation into SFSU by Campus Watch, a project of the Middle East Forum, SFSU has partnered with a Palestinian university that's a hotbed of radicalization.

I haven’t provided a 30 Blocks of Squalor update in a while, but to my delight none other than Hillary Clinton made an appearance on the 30 Blocks this past week, spurring me to ponder her level of commitment to the black families of West Philly. She gave a stirring anti-capitalism speech at West Philadelphia High School. The purported reason for the rally was a get out the vote event. In the corrupt cesspool of Philadelphia that means having black voters casting more votes for their Democrat candidate than there are registered voters. Obama won 102% of the vote in 2008 and 2012 in West Philly. Hillary should hire the Black Panthers who did such a bang up job encouraging white voter turnout in 2008.

Due to an accident on the Schuylkill Expressway, I happened to drive by West Philly High on the morning of her speech. I had to dodge gaping potholes, ignorant double parked squalorites and SEPTA buses on Chestnut Street while driving my five year old Honda Civic on the 30 Blocks of Squalor to my job. Hillary flew into Philly on a private jet, stepped into a stretch limousine driven by a chauffeur, surrounded herself with dozens of armed Secret Service agents and campaign apparatchiks in black SUVs, and proceeded to create gridlock as traffic laws don’t apply to the ruling elite.

The Clintons' Hatred of For-Profit Colleges Magically Melted Away After Receiving $18 Million From One Such Insitution

Hey, remember the good old days when Barack Obama attacked for-profit colleges with his traditional balanced aplomb?

Obama’s healthcare “reform” legislation included a federal takeover of the college student-loan business. 

Obama touted this aspect of “reform” as a way to save $68 billion over the next 11 years. The savings would go to pay for expanded Pell Grants for low-income students and to help low-income graduates pay back their student loans.

But more is going on here than the standard Obama redistributionist impulse. Student loans have become a weapon to attack and control private colleges.

.. Within days of the federal takeover of the student loan program, this dysfunctional picture got worse.

 Obama attacked private for-profit colleges like the University of Phoenix.

The result -- like all of Mr. Obama's initiatives -- is to eradicate consumer choice and put ever more control in the hands of government. And his relentless, destructive efforts have been successful:

TAKING THE MONEY AMERICANS WON'T TAKE: Illegal Alien Nets $300,000 Scholarship From U. of Chicago

The University of Chicago has awarded an illegal immigrant nearly $300,000 in scholarships to attend the prestigious private institution in the fall.

David Rodriguez (a pseudonym used for security purposes) fled to America from Mexico with his family when he was five years old, eventually settling in Tennessee—a state notoriously opposed to open-border immigration policies.

Accordingly, Rodriguez was rendered ineligible for in-state tuition costs, but was able to apply for certain scholarships in other states under the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which grants students from illegal immigrant families temporary visas to remain in America for college.

Now, Rodriguez plans to attend the University of Chicago after the school awarded him $290,872 in scholarship funds, The Chattanooga Times Free Press reports, noting that the financial assistance makes it cheaper for Rodriguez to attend UC than a Tennessee community college.

College Professor Calls for Mass Murder at NRA Headquarters

After the news that eleven Dallas officers were shot and five killed, many have pointed fingers at the rhetoric of the Black Lives Matter movement and at politicians for refusing to draw the proper conclusions. The concern that the police, while protecting the rights of BLM rally-goers, were picked off by a gunman, who clearly stated he wanted to kill white cops, has regular Americans partially paralyzed about what can be done about the crisis.

It’s clear the radicals who seek social change do not care at all about justice, since all of the killed officers were individuals who had nothing to do with any incidents portrayed by BLM as racially motivated killings. But because of the mental sickness that focuses on uniform and skin color, every white cop is in an extremely dangerous position.

Well, this election year is getting ugly, and it’s going to get uglier. There have been several massive disruptions both inside and outside of Donald Trump rallies, and more are promised.  

Let’s just get one thing out of the way right at the top: This isn’t about Donald Trump. I find some of his rhetoric alarming to say the least, but the left – which means the Iron Triangle of Cry-Bully Revolutionary wannabes, billionaire agitators, and socialism-loving politicians, formerly called community organizers, formerly called race-baiting agitators – you know, like Obama’s terrorist buddy Billy Ayers.

The upsurge of American Fascism we are observing has nothing to do with Donald Trump, because this is what the left ALWAYS does: they block, with coercion, intimidation or physical violence, any viewpoint not in line with their murderous policies of total political mind control and inevitable economic ruin. What, after all, are Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter but a little street muscle?

Chicago Public School System Cancels Bond Sale Due to Global Warming and No Buyers, But Mostly No Buyers

Chicago Public Schools, or CPS, needs to issue $875 million in long-term bonds to help the district avoid bankruptcy – but on Jan. 27, the school district backed out of the planned sale. The district announced that it has postponed the bond sale and will assess the situation on a day-to-day basis.

The failure to issue the bonds means the district has to postpone the refinancing of several debts. According to CPS, $340 million of the total borrowings will be dedicated to refinancing old debt, and nearly $90 million will go toward paying off other short-term loans. The district plans to use nearly $400 million to pay for capital projects.
