Elijah Cummings (D-MD): Dissent Against Obama's Economic Policies Due to Opposition to Keynesian Economics and Racism, But Mostly Racism

Gee, this certainly appears to be a rational and original line of reasoning, which was just advanced by the renowned philosopher and economist Elijah Cummings:

There’s another thing the press seems to not get. A lot of African-Americans that I’ve talked to, most of them say that they ‘feel this President has been treated unfairly.’ They believe he has done every single thing in his power to try to create jobs, to try to make sure this economy moves forward...

...He’s gone against just fierce opposition. I think, I mean if you look at the evidence, that’s true. He’s accomplished a lot in the short time he’s been President. But the fact is, it has not been easy and will not continue to be easy...

Indeed.

For the Left's principled opposition to the Bush administration was predicated upon a careful analysis of facts, logic, history and reason.

After all, the National Socialist Democrats treated President Bush with such kid gloves.

Barack Obama, addressing his supporters: "I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face."

Nancy Pelosi, addressing anti-GOP protesters: "I'm a fan of disrupters! ...So I thank all of you who have spoken out for your courage, your point of view. All of it. Your advocacy is very American and very important."

Sen. Harry Reid constructively labeled President Bush "a liar", "a loser", and the "worst President ever".

Hmmm.

Elijah Cummings is a dolt and a race-baiter, not necessarily in that order.

ESPN now censoring analysts' anti-Obama tweets (curiously, insulting Sarah Palin still perfectly acceptable)

Dana Loesch reports that ESPN is now in the business of censoring reporters who criticize El Presidente.

A note for future prospective ESPN employees: You can only cheerlead Obama at ESPN. I’m not joking... Case in point: The network’s golf analyst, 12-time PGA Tour winner Paul Azinger hit out at the President’s amount of golf games on Twitter:

Azinger’s remarks prompted ESPN to crack down:

ESPN is coming down on Paul Azinger for mocking President Barack Obama on Twitter. The golf analyst tweeted Thursday the Commander-in-chief plays more golf than he does — and that Azinger has created more jobs this month than Obama has.

On Friday ESPN ‘reminded” Azinger his venture into political punditry violates the company’s updated social network policy for on-air talent and reporters... "Paul’s tweet was not consistent with our social media policy, and he has been reminded that political commentary is best left to those in that field,” spokesman Andy Hall told Game On! in a statement."

ESPN’s Hall would not comment on whether Azinger, who won the 1993 PGA Championship, will be fired, suspended or punished in some way. “We handle that internally,” he said.

Here's a thought experiment: had Paul Azinger complimented President Subprime McDowngrade or angrily slammed a conservative, would he have been similarly censured?

Gee: as it turns out, the loopy nitwit named Kenny Mayne seems to have avoided ESPN's censors secreting tweets like this:

No double standard there.

Study: Public Support for Obama Tragical Misery Bus Tour Slightly Below Hypothetical "Jersey Shore Plays the Philharmonic"

Although I'm sure Snookie would make a decent tenor:

Obama's Midwest tour last week prompted more criticism and ridicule than support on Twitter, according to this week’s Hill Hexagon.

Regardless of what President Obama and his political advisers had hoped for, the three-state Midwest bus tour last week prompted far more criticism and ridicule than support in Twitter comments, according to this week’s Hill Hexagon.

An analysis of Twitter traffic by Crimson Hexagon over the days of the tour showed that 72 percent of the opinions expressed were negative, while 22 percent were neutral and only 6 percent were favorable.

Neutral comments were primarily mentions of the stops he made on his tour and what he said and did while on it. The favorable reaction came along the lines that previous presidents have conducted similar tours and relief that Obama was making the case for his policies...

In related news, David Axelrod doubled the dosage of his blood pressure medication.

Fake Paul Krugman mimics "pathologically deranged and homicidal psychopath" so well that the real Paul Krugman is forced to refute charges

If there's anyone in legacy media worthy of a satire this good, it is the despicable, left wing, hackish, slobbering, stuttering twit of a nincompoop named Paul Krugman. And that's the introductory phrase he prefers, I hear.

We truly can only hope that this Google Plus account of Paul Krugman is merely a well-orchestrated parody, because if it is indeed that of the self-styled uber-Keynesian, the time for the public outrage, his economic beliefs aside, has arrived. In a blast post..., which should immediately result in the termination of the Nobel prize winning economist if it was indeed penned by him, this particular account of "Paul Krugman" writes:

"People on twitter might be joking, but in all seriousness, we would see a bigger boost in spending and hence economic growth if the earthquake had done more damage."

Translation...well it's pretty obvious, but for those laboring under the aftermath of a full frontal lobotomy, the person who tweeted this essentially yearns for his voodoo economic religion to be validated following countless failures of Keynesianism (no, really, after this latest injection of Xx *illion dollars into the economy things will really be well), at the expense of death and destruction...

This is about as close as we will get to a Keynesian admitting that reparations for death and destruction are the only two special clauses under which fiscal stimulus does work. Which of course means that with idiots such as the poster of the above who actually thinks this, be it Krugman or some of his countless voodoo brethren, and with their proximity to the president, the only logical explanation is that a war is coming, and is being welcomed by all these s[h|c]am "economists", for whom human death and suffering is a fair tradeoff in preserving their tenure or modestly-paid, liberal publication blogging jobs. If this indeed Krugman's account, it is imperative that the NYT immediately terminate this pathologically deranged and homicidal psychopath. Institutionalization in a mentally insane ward may be a proper subsequent action.

Well, it turns out that the author of the Google+ page really wasn't Paul Krugman, but that fact certainly shouldn't change any of Durden's verbiage, in my opinion.

Because, this is the same guy arguing that the government should lie about an impending alien invasion... seriously... to justify even more government borrowing and wealth redistribution. The real Krugman was, in fact, forced to defend himself against this latest missive simply because it sounded so bizarre, so unstable, and so totalitarian that it could have only come from the real Krugman.

Or a masterful satirist.

I wonder where IowaHawk was last night?

Pass the popcorn, Nahanni: Obama campaign apparatus slams Leftist blogs and Paul Krugman; Jane Hamsher hardest hit

I love the smell of blue-on-blue conflict in the morning.

The Obama campaign's point person in New Mexico recently sent an email to supporters defending the president's position on the debt deal and bashing the Nobel Prize winning New York Times columnist Paul Krugman and the "Firebagger Lefty blogosphere."

That's right: the progressive Left -- the true Soviet wing of the Democrat Party -- doesn't think Obama is destroying the country fast enough.

The reality that President Obama is seeking re-election while the left wing of his party is profoundly disillusioned hit home last week at the Iowa State Fair when I watched DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz get heckled off stage by angry progressives. And Obama’s re-election campaign staff isn’t helping their boss much.

New Mexico OFA state director Ray Sandoval sent out an e-mail to Democrats, attempting to address their “frustrations” with the debt deal and including the text of a post from liberal blogger Spandan Chakrabarti:

Paul Krugman is a political rookie... Joining the ideologue spheres' pure, fanatic, indomitable hysteria, Krugman declares the deal a disaster - both political and economic - of course providing no evidence for the latter... He rides the coattails of the simplistic argument that spending cuts - any spending cuts - are bad for a fragile economy, ignoring wholeheartedly his own previous cheerleading for cutting, say, defense spending. But that was back in the day - all the way back in April of this year...

...The more than half-a-trillion in defense and security spending cut "trigger" for the Republicans will hardly earn a mention on the Firebagger Lefty blogosphere... No, the loudest screeching noise you hear coming from Krugman and the ideologue Left is, of course, Medicare. Oh, no, the President is agreeing to a Medicare trigger!!! Oh noes!!!

HuffPo’s Amanda Terkel explains that “Firebagger Lefty blogosphere” is probably a reference to Jane Hamsher’s Firedoglake.

To have the Obama re-election team trashing Krugman and Firedoglake ought to give you an idea of what a sense of hopeless doom the Democrats are facing as they look forward to 2012. FDL wouldn’t be trashing Obama if Obama wasn’t looking weak, and Obama’s staff wouldn’t be worried about a columnist or a blogger if the White House was generally winning the message war.

Just as nothing succeeds like success, nothing fails like failure. Ever since Obama got his ass kicked in the 2010 mid-terms, he has been covered in failure, and the negative mojo appears to be snowballing.

No butter, please, Nahanni.

I'm getting my cholesterol checked in the morning.

Exclusive: Layout of President Obama's Tragical Misery Tour Bus

Our enterprising cub reporter Biff Spackle has located a tippity-top secret schematic of President Obama's campaign Recovery Summer™ tour bus.

As you could have expected, the President is making do with spartan quarters that provide only the basic necessities of life.

The Reason I Detest the Left [Mark Levin]

Mark Levin:

Obama and the Democrats are trying to turn us against each other. They are trying to create hate. And at some point they're going to unleash mayhem. I truly believe this. They're playing with political fire; playing with societal fire. They're also creating the conditions of societal anxiety. People are worried about their own security, the stability of their lives, whether it's jobs, housing, transportation.

This is what happens when you devolve from liberty into tyranny. And what's clear to me now is that, based upon what the liberals are saying, what they've said over the last week, whether it's on the cable shows or in the liberal press, they're setting up the Tea Party, Fox News and talk radio for that which they are fomenting.

We have the Tea Party being called terrorists by a Congressman and the Vice President... other language being spewed about the Tea Party, so they really want to create hatred, negative images, strawmen. But the Tea Party is nothing more than the American people. That's what the Tea Party is.

Look at what happened in Wisconsin. The citizens of Wisconsin, in the various state elections, they beat back the forces of big government and their allies. We're not the minority!

We are the majority. But these people have been given things, taken from you and given to them, such that they believe they have a greater right to your private property -- your income, your labor -- than you do!

And they're not going to allow you to escape from this enslavement, from their perspective. I want you to think about this:

When Obama talks about "...this group deserves this...", he is saying that the government has the power to take your labor from you -- your work, your income, from you and your family -- that you have legitimately earned. And they take that from you for whatever reason he says... food-stamps, unemployment, medical care, highway construction, more federal bureaucracts... they have the right to take your labor, which is finite.

You only live so long. What you earn, taken from you and your family, and given to someone else for some other cause. And if you say no, they are arguing that the person they want to give it to -- who has not earned it -- and the cause they want to support... is a greater priority than you!

If you start looking at things this way, this is your labor, your work. You get up in the morning, put in a long day, go home in the evening -- maybe you have two jobs -- Obama is saying that your labor belongs to the government to give to somebody else! The government tells you what you get to keep!

Say your tax rate is 30%. That means 30% of the time you spend working for the government. You're not working for your family or yourself. And if Obama and the Democrats tax you the way that they want to, some states like New York and California, when you add in all of the various taxes, a typical person will be working over 60% of the time for the government!

So if you put in a 10-hour day, six hours of your day is going to the government to benefit someone else -- so they can buy their votes. So they can create these hostilities against you -- the taxpayers! Who make this system work!

We deserve thank you letters! Do we get thank you letters from the government? From any welfare recipient? From anyone? No! We're hated! "Oh, the Tea Party--we hate them!"

Why? Because we want to spend a smaller percentage of our lives working for somebody else -- as opposed to working for our own family? You know, there was a time in this country when that was considered the right thing! Self-sufficiency, independence, family.

How many cases are there where families are really on the edge? Where if they didn't have to pay those high taxes, they'd have a little bit more money to buy higher quality food, a better car, a better education, maybe a vacation... everybody talks about Obama having a right to take a vacation... well, does everybody else who actually works for a living have a right to take a vacation?

Maybe if you could keep a little bit more of your money, you could take a vacation? It is stunning what we accept in this nation. It happens gradually, but it happens. We have a new tax in place: 3.8%. So if you sell your house and you still have equity -- if you're lucky enough to have muscled throug this market, a market which blew up thanks to the Community Reinvestment Act, another government policy -- you've made a little profit, maybe you want to live off it, pass it on to your children, well, that's going to be taxed at 3.8% now.

Why? Obamacare! Obama said, "I'm not raising taxes on the middle class." Well, we're talking about the middle class! Your presciption drugs, they're very expensive, right? They're taxed! Medical devices, wheelchairs, whatever... taxed! More taxes, new taxes!

Now here's the grift: they're going to spend as much as they want. They're going to keep borrowing money, spending money. Taxes can't keep up with their spending, they never can and they never will! So it's almost gratuitous... the government wants to control a certain percentage of your life, your working life. You have got to look at taxes that way. A 30% tax rate is 30% of your work effort!

When you add in your property taxes, local income taxes, excise taxes, state income taxes, gas taxes, and when you add in the federal income taxes, you have no idea what percentage of your life, your labor, you are delivering to bureaucrats in government! And, of course, they never have enough! They always want more! I'm not talking about millionaires and billionaires! I'm talking about you! I'm talking about you.

The reason I detest the Left so much, and believe me I detest the Left, is because they believe they have a moral claim on you! Literally, you! They believe they have a moral claim on your physical and intellectual labor! They have a moral claim -- they believe, they insist -- on a part of your work day!

And when they say you have to pay your "fair share", they're saying you have to work longer and harder for the government. There is no fair share! They don't have a claim on your life! They don't have a claim on your intellectual and physical labor!

No! They have to operate within the Constitution. We fund them within the Constitution, under our rule of law, no more and no less. Anything more is illegitimate. It's a liberty issue, ladies and gentlemen. Your liberty! Don't allow the way you think to be controlled and dictated by the Left, their language and their propaganda.

When they say "tax increases" or they use regulations to control you, to increase your expenses or limit your lifestyle, that is you that they are taking from. Your life. Your liberty.

Time Magazine Nails It: The Cause of S&P's Downgrade of the U.S.

With their usual attention to detail, the crackerjack reporters at Time Magazine have finally discovered the root cause of S&P's downgrade of U.S. debt instruments.

I'm glad they cleared that up, because I was truly confused.

So it wasn't a Democrat refusal to address entitlement reform. It wasn't the Democrats' repudiation of every single suggestion by the Obama "Deficit Commission". It wasn't a failure of the Democrat-controlled Senate and President Obama to proffer a budget for more than 800 days. Oh, and it wasn't a "one-time, emergency Stimulus", the most aggressive spending increase in world history, that is now built into the baseline budget.

It also wasn't a refusal to acknowledge the repeated failure of Keynesian economics. It wasn't passing the most expensive entitlement program ever -- Obamacare -- which passed in the dark of night so Americans could "find out what's in it". Furthermore, it wasn't a massive, command-and-control takeover of the financial industry -- Dodd-Frank -- with a bill so immense and complex that even today no one can predict exactly what it will do to banks and insurers.

And it certainly wasn't the thousands upon thousands of bureaucrats in the EPA, the Interior Department and the National Labor Relations Board, which are shuttering businesses large and small.

No, none of those things were responsible for the debt crisis and downgrade. This was:

Thank goodness we still have true journalists at Time who are willing to cut through all of the clutter, confusion and misinformation to report upon the real culprits of the deficit debacle.

Media Unearths Rick Perry's College Transcripts In Nothing Flat, But Somehow Unable to Find Any Record of Barack Obama's Existence

You may have missed the Left's preemptive attack on Rick Perry. The GOP candidate's transcripts were "mysteriously released" a few days ago, which smacks of another odd disclosure.

In 2004, Barack Obama's GOP opponent for Senate -- Jack Ryan -- "mysteriously" had his sealed divorce records un-sealed.

But I'm sure that's just coincidental.

You know, I find the media quite honest and diligent. It mocks and vilifies Rick Perry's college transcripts, yet somehow forgot about checking Barack Obama's:

1. Occidental College records and transcripts -- Not released
2. Columbia University records and transcripts -- Not released
3. Columbia Thesis paper -- 'not available'
4. Harvard University records and transcripts -- Not released
5. Medical records -- Not released
6. Illinois State Senate schedule -- 'not available'
7. Illinois State Senate records -- 'not available'
8. Law practice client list -- Not released
9. Certified Copy of Original Birth certificate -- Not released
10. Harvard Law Review articles published -- None
11. University of Chicago scholarly articles -- None
12. Record of Baptism -- Not released or 'not available'

But I'm sure that's just an innocent oversight.

Discovered: the Real Newsweek Cover Shot of Michele Bachmann

Strange. It's almost as if the Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) coordinated their attacks on Michele Bachmann:

StinkProgress (by George Soros): "Bachmann: Obama Told Me The Affordable Care Act Eliminates Medicare"

Stuffington Roast: "Michele Bachmann Repeatedly Sought Stimulus, EPA, Other Government Funds"

ABC Spews: "Bachmann Likens US to Titanic in Visit to Iowa Plant"

RawStory: "Bachmann asked for stimulus money days after calling it an ‘orgy of spending’"

Gawker: "Jon Stewart Shames Newsweek for Its Michele Bachmann Cover"

Discover (!): "Reason and the Mind of Michele Bachmann"

Whoa.

Hold up.

Discover Magazine?

You're telling me that even Discover Magazine is slandering Michele Bachmann?

Hmmm...

Well, Jon, this is a curious article to find in "Discover". Tell me:

1. Which political party always advocates for more centralized, authoritarian government?
2. Which political party incessantly seeks to confiscate more and more of your private property -- the finite products of your mind and body -- to use for its own whims and desires?
3. Which political party created the most outrageous Ponzi schemes -- Social Security and Medicare among them -- that the world has ever seen?
4. Which political party continually stifles free enterprise and individual liberty with vast bureaucracies, ever-increasing regulations, and failed policies of wealth redistribution?

If you answered 'the Democrat Party' to each question, you're today's winner!

Michele Bachmann is the problem? No. Out-of-control, unconstitutional, sixties-retread Democrats are the problem, spending trillions borrowed from our children and grandchildren without their permission.

The Tea Party is the problem? Hardly.

But facts, logic, history and reason were never strong suits for the National Social Democrats.

Just wait until we find out whether Sarah Palin is running.

Uncle Ben Violates Radical WaPo Leftist "Courtland Milloy", If That Is His Real Name

Uncle Ben:

Mr. Milloy,

I always read your column, although I rarely agree with your positions. But your column this morning ("From London to Philadelphia, youths erupting over theft of their futures") almost gave me an aneurysm.

First, your equating of the looting in London to the shenanigans on Wall Street is absurd. Whatever bad things you may say about bankers, brokers, and consumers who helped drive the economy into the ditch in 2008 and 2009, they did not break the law. The same cannot be said about those in London who are destroying and stealing private property.

Second, your claim that those doing the looting across the pond are merely "striking out in anger over the theft of their futures" is simply glorifying bad conduct and misstating the facts. You may want to check some of the local coverage of events in the United Kingdom to give you a more accurate picture of what is going on.

Finally, the last paragraph of your column -- in which you accuse members of the Tea Party of being "anarchists" and of "threatening to destroy what they can’t have" -- is so profoundly wrong on so many levels that I am surprised that a man of your obvious intellect would even write it.

I am not a member of the "Tea Party," although I do subscribe to the view that the federal government is too large and spends too much money. Nonetheless, an anarchist is someone who supports "anarchy," which, by definition, is "the complete absence of government" and "political disorder and violence." Webster's New World College Dictionary (4th Ed.) Say what you want about the Tea Party, I am fairly sure this is not their agenda. Furthermore, anarchy has historically been understood as a left-wing ideology, which makes its application to the Tea Party even more far-fetched.

To be sure, members of Congress who were elected based on the ideals of the Tea Party in the 2010 election took a hard line with the Obama Administration on the debt ceiling issue. But they did so within the parameters of our political system. They did not burn down the Capitol, nor did they physically threaten any one's person or property. To quote Dwight Eisenhower: "Here in America we are descended in blood and in spirit from revolutionists and rebels - men and women who dare to dissent from accepted doctrine. As their heirs, may we never confuse honest dissent with disloyal subversion."

While you may disagree with the views of the Tea Party, you should at least embrace their right to express them. To use such pejorative labels as "anarchists" (or terrorists) in describing members of the Tea Party does a disservice to yourself and your readers.

Uncle Ben is a little too diplomatic with the Marxist Left for my tastes, but he is well-spoken.

Exclusive Photo: Actual Cause of S&P Downgrade and Market Meltdown Discovered

Thanks to David Axelrod, John Kerry, Howard Dean, and President Obama, we now know the true cause of the U.S. debt crisis, S&P's downgrade, and the resulting economic turmoil.

It was not a Democrat refusal to address entitlement reform. Not a failure of the Democrat-controlled Senate and President Obama to proffer a budget for more than 800 days. Not a "one-time, emergency Stimulus", the most aggressive spending increase in world history, that is now built into the baseline budget. Not a refusal to acknowledge the repeated failure of Keynesian economics. Not a massive, command-and-control takeover of the financial industry -- Dodd-Frank -- with a bill so immense and complex that even today no one can predict exactly what it will do to banks and insurers. Not scores of bureaucrats in the EPA and the NLRB, who are shuttering businesses large and small.

No, none of those things were responsible for the debt crisis and downgrade. This was:

So now you know.

Obama Commissions Heroic Hollywood Pic on Bin Laden Raid With Premier Slated For... October 2012

Pssst, Ann: you need to add permalinks to your posts:

Obama commissions Hollywood pic on OBL Raid

...Maureen Dowd of the New York Times [reports that t]he Obama regime has commissioned a major motion picture about the fake Bin Laden raid. The film will be released . . . October 12, 2012.

Guys, we're into full-blown Leni Riefenstahl territory now.

Here's the link to the Dowd piece. I am linking to page 2 of 2 because that's where the stuff about the movie is, but do read the whole thing.

Read up... Money quotes:

The White House clearly blessed the dramatic reconstruction of the mission by Nicholas Schmidle in The New Yorker — so vividly descriptive of the SEALS' looks, quotes and thoughts that Schmidle had to clarify after the piece was published that he had not actually talked to any of them...

The White House is also counting on the ... big-screen version of the killing of bin Laden to counter Obama's growing reputation as ineffectual.

The Sony film by the Oscar-winning pair who made "The Hurt Locker" will no doubt reflect the president's cool, gutsy decision against shaky odds. Just as Obamaland was hoping, the movie is scheduled to open on Oct. 12, 2012 — perfectly timed to give a home-stretch boost to a campaign that has grown tougher.

The moviemakers are getting top-level access to the most classified mission in history from an administration that has tried to throw more people in jail for leaking classified information than the Bush administration.

It was clear that the White House had outsourced the job of manning up the president's image to Hollywood when Boal got welcomed to the upper echelons of the White House and the Pentagon and showed up recently — to the surprise of some military officers — at a CIA ceremony celebrating the hero SEALs.

Is this why Matt Damon is currently sporting a buzzcut? Hmmmm.

Gee, it's truly surprising that President Obama would attempt to synch his reelection with a Hollywood movie depicting his 'heroic' actions at Lattabatta. Or whatever the hell it's called.

And may God bless our soldiers, their families and all those who help support the effort to save this republic.

Hypocrisy Of The Left, Example 8,238,792,427 [The Bad]

The Bad:

Q: Hey leftie! Many Americans agree that building a mosque at Ground Zero is (a) legal and should not be restricted by government, but (b) is in horrific taste and insulting to the entire community and country at large. How do you justify your support to build a structure which has and will continue to cause so many people so much pain?

A: You’re a xenophobic, racist, tea-bagging anti-immigrant wingnut to even suggest that a monument of the religion which committed this terrorist act would offend anyone. If you’re offended, then you are a horrible person and the terrorists have won.

Q: Hey leftie! Did you just demand this product be removed from the shelves because it represents a viewpoint in which you disagree?

A: You’re a xenophobic, racist, tea-bagging anti-immigrant wingnut...

Not to mention a hostage-taker.

Reaction o' the Day

Spotted at The Right Scoop's Twitpic feed.

ABC's Jake Tapper shreds Jay Carney on President Obama's abysmal jobs record and inattention to the unfolding economic catastrophe

Where is the President amidst the stock market meltdown and the worsening employment situation?

CARNEY: ...we believe that growth and job creation will continue.

TAPPER: Well, what is the president doing? We know that he went to a -- -- he went to fundraisers last night. What's he doing today?

CARNEY: Jake, that is --

TAPPER: What is he doing --

CARNEY: The president -- as the president has worked --

TAPPER: We hear him hectoring Congress about all the stuff that needs to be done to help create jobs --

CARNEY: That's right. And Congress --

TAPPER: -- and then he flew off to Chicago. What is he doing today?

CARNEY: The president is having meetings with his senior staff. The president has called on Congress to move quickly on things that have bipartisan support and are in Congress's lap, the trade --

TAPPER: The same stuff he was doing a couple months ago, calling on Congress to pass things.

Jake, Jake, Jake: the President is busy. He's busy playing golf, shooting hoops and fundraising. Not necessarily in that order.

He can't be expected to divert his attention from the daunting task of raising the $1 billion in propaganda money he'll need for the 2012 election.

Lean Forward, Said the Urologist [Dan from New York]

Dan from New York:

In case you hadn’t heard, NBC has reached down into the bottom of the barrel and come up with Al Sharpton to take over Cenk Uygur’s slot on MSNBC. Brilliant casting. In Sharpton, they found the one man on earth who couldn’t fill Uygur’s shoes.

This video, courtesy of Breitbart TV, tells you all you need to know.

Dan, I think the official branding at MSNBC is actually this:

Which is a perfect image to represent Sharpton, otherwise known as "The Democrats' David Duke."

Lede of the Day: Stanley B. Greenberg Self-Beclownment Edition

If Stanley B. Greenberg ever decides to leave the "center-left political" polling business (if that is a real business), I think he has a future on the comedy circuit with one-liners like this one:

Barack Obama can’t catch a break from the American public on the economy, even though he prevented a depression and saved global capitalism.

HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA AHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAAHhAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHA AHHAHAH (***cough***) AHAHAHHAHAHAH AH AHA HA HAHA HA HA AHA HA HA AH AHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA (***wheeze***) AHAH AHA HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA (***owww***) HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHH AHHA HA HA AHHAHAHAH (***sh--***) OWWWW HA OWWW...

Ow. Ow. I think I just wrenched my clavicle.

Greenberg is a hilarious kook of a propagandist. Obama, in fact, helped cause the housing meltdown as an agitator for ACORN, which harassed banks into issuing subprime loans.

Obama blew trillions of borrowed dollars on 'shovel-ready projects', only to admit later that there was no such thing.

The Obama administration was also held in Contempt of Court for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, one of many steps the president has taken to destroy the domestic energy industry.

Obama also bludgeoned a wildly unpopular "health care reform" bill through Congress -- thousands of pages of legislation that no one had a chance to read or understand -- which is frightening business owners around the country and crushing hiring.

Obama also told a major aerospace manufacturer that they could not locate a billion-dollar manufacturing facility in a right-to-work state, an unprecedented act by a president completely dependent on unions for campaign donations.

And, most recently, Obama set the nation on a course of a downgrade from its once-unchallenged AAA credit rating by borrowing 40 cents of every dollar the federal government spends.

Stanley Greenberg has a future at Second City.
