GOOD NEWS: ABC and Univision Join Forces to Attack Immigration Law

It would seem that ABC and Univision have teamed up to -- wait for it -- keep an eye on law enforcement. In this case, the two channels are doing their level best to promote illegal immigration.

How? They've started by monitoring Arizona's Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Long-term, they've said they intend to create a 24-hour channel. Short-term, they're documenting every move the Sheriff makes. It's for the children, I suppose.

Maricopa Sheriff Joe Arpaio was denied an appeal yesterday that would have let his deputies take Arizona's SB 1070 a step further.

The "show me your papers" law says that police must first engage in a lawful stop -- broken tail light, reckless driving, whatever -- before they can start asking someone about immigration status. Arpaio's office was in court yesterday trying to skip the broken tail light phase and go straight to the "papers, please" part...

[However,] there has never been a finding by a court that Arpaio's office has racially profiled Latinos...

In related news, 50 convicted sex offenders, pedophiles, and other criminal aliens were just arrested by ICE.

The Obama strategy? Support unchecked illegal immigration, let unvetted aliens commit the most heinous of crimes, and only then try to find them.

So maybe it's not for the children.

SCUM OF THE EARTH: AP and Reuters Hit Bottom, Dig

Every time you think antique media has hit bottom, it breaks out the jackhammer and pounds out a new sub-basement.

Two shocking photos coming off the wire of Benjamin Netanyahu addressing the United Nations moments ago.

The first is from the Associated Press... The second is from Reuters.

Of the hundreds of professional photos taken at this speech, the AP and Reuters decided to push these onto the wire.

Indeed. Because these were the most offensive photos they could find.

Media extremists? What media extremists?

SHOCK POLL: Obama Up 99 points over Romney in Latest CNN-NYT-Zogby-NBC-Dreamworks Survey

The ludicrous Jan Crawford -- if that is her real name -- hardest hit:

CRAWFORD: Both candidates are focused on Ohio this week. It is getting tough here for Mitt Romney. Our latest poll now shows the president is up by 10 points. The poll shows the president also has a significant lead with women voters in all three of those swing states that we surveyed. But here in Ohio the president is up by 25 points with women voters. Now, today Romney will be focused on the economy. That's an issue that's been the cornerstone of his campaign, but there's trouble in our poll there for Romney, too! In our poll, for the first time, the president has taken a lead on that key issue in all three states.

RUSH: That makes a lot of sense, doesn't it? Obama's ahead by 25 points with women in Ohio, and is finally taking a lead over Romney on the economy. Yeah, 'cause the economy's gotten so much better in the last week. If it's this good for Obama, I have a bunch of questions, but one central question: Why is he there? Why is he campaigning in Ohio today? If it's that wrapped up and he's got a 10-point lead, why is he there? Why not go to some other state where it's not that big a lead?

Exactly. Obama is in Ohio because he's in trouble in Ohio.

Rasmussen August 31st: Latest national party affiliation, Republicans up four over Democrats. That's never reflected in any poll. If, by the way, you do that, if you take all these polls and you change the samples... Some guy did this at Unskewed Polls or some such thing the other day. It's been all over the Internet. If you do this, if you take every one of these polls and you exchange the sample for what Rasmussen found?

You find Romney up by anywhere from six to nine points, and in some cases ten points. That's if you use an accurate sample of Republicans and Democrats as reflected by Rasmussen's party affiliation reported on August 31st.

Vintage media wants the American people to surrender. And this we will not do.

This election is just as much about defeating old media as it is defeating the Statist Obama agenda. Voting Democrats out of office at every level of government therefore is a two-fer.

I can't wait to flip from ABC to CBS to NBC to MSNBC to CNN on election eve, just to watch the expressions on their faces. It's gonna be great. I've got the DVR cued up and the popcorn ready.

2010 IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE A WARM-UP: Media skewing polls by double digits to make up for Obama enthusiasm gap

Call it the Obama reality deficit. The highlights of a roundup from Nice Deb should warm the cockles of your heart:

• Dick Morris: "I can’t predict what will happen November 6th, [but] if the Election was held today Romney Would Win by 4-5 Points. ... People need to understand that the polling this year is the worst it's ever been... this is the first election that where if I tell you who's going to vote, I can tell you how they're going to vote... and I'll be right two out of three times. Therefore, the issue is who is going to vote. Polling is very good at saying how you're going to vote, it's very bad at say who's going to vote. The models these folks are using are crazy. They're using a Democrat edge of six or seven points... I'm assuming a three point Democrat edge and even that is likely overstated. ...The people are overwhelming concluding that this guy isn't up to being President, and the media is trying to convince us [otherwise]."

• John Giokaris of Townhall: "The liberal mainstream media and blogosphere are desperately trying to write Romney’s funeral using polls that oversample Democrats by as much a D+10, D+11 and D+13. In 2008, an historic election wave for Democrats, the electorate was D+7. In 2004, when George W. Bush won re-election, the electorate was evenly split. In other words, D+0. So was the 2010 midterm election: evenly split. The Democrat share of the electorate is not going to double this year. Given the well-noted enthusiasm edgefor Republicans this year, the electorate is going to be far closer to the 2004 and 2010 models than 2008. Any poll trying to replicate the 2008 is going to artificially inflate Obama’s support."

• Brian Cates of Draw and Strike: "...in 2008, Democrats DID outvote Republicans by +7. That was a historic wave election for the Democratic party; you’d have to go back decades to find another election where Democrats outvoted Republicans by anything like that kind of number. Usually the partisan split between Dems and Repubs is pretty damn close, and if it’s not tied within the margin of error, it’s between a +1 or a +3 advantage to whichever party gets the upper hand. So +7 was pretty damn eye-opening in 2008... Despite the fact that a lot has changed since 2008, many of these MSM pollsters are using a 2008 template for their polls... However, all the signs point to a big REPUBLICAN voter enthusiasm advantage in this election."

• John Nolte of Big Journalism: "If you’re going to believe the polls released from CBS/New York Times this morning — you know, the polls the media’s currently using to beat Romney senseless and to depress Republican enthusiasm, you have to believe that the turnout advantage for Democrats over Republicans will blow away every previous record and common sense."

• Jay Cost of The Weekly Standard confirms: "Yes, Most Polls (The Ones The Media Prefers) Are Giving Obama a Phantom 3-4 Point Edge"

Nice Deb herself observes: "They’re trying to wrap this up before the debates even start, because I think they’re worried about the debates. I think they’re trying to get this election finished and in the can by suppressing your vote and depressing you so that you just don’t think there’s any reason to vote, that it’s hopeless. They want you making other plans... Open your eyes – it’s beyond obvious, now what they are doing."

That, my friends, is the critical point: Democrats are scared to death of the public reality check represented by the debates, as I wrote in "IT'S OVER: The Left's Information Warfare Campaign Has Failed -- and Mitt Romney is Going to Win This Election":

Obama without TOTUS is like Joe Biden without the hair-plugs. Romney has been tempered through the fires of a dozen, hard-core, debate melees.

And Obama has had precisely zero debates and, for that matter, hasn't even entertained a serious interview in years. Without practice -- and with his increasingly questionable work ethic -- I have a prediction to make:

Obama is going to stumble in these debates. He will stumble badly. And he will reveal himself.

Furthermore, when you come right down to it, he's an easy mark. He has a record he must try to defend. And that record is downright ugly. He can blame Bush, Tsunamis, ATMs and the Euro for all of his failures, but if he tries, he'll sound even more like an unpresidential loser than usual.

The combination of being confronted with his failures -- one after the other, with no real way to spin or lie without blatantly appearing as a charlatan -- along with his documented case of Aggressive Narcissism results in my Lock o' the Week prognostication:

Obama will seriously stumble in these debates. It will be cringe-worthy.

Write it down. Take it to the bank. This is going to be fun.

BUMBLER-IN-CHIEF: ‘I Want to See Us Export More Jobs’

Of course he does. Each of our 57 states must export more jobs, according to the smartest man ever to serve as president, although we can't be sure just how much of a genius he is because his college transcripts are unavailable.

Obama misspeaks: "I want to see us export more jobs"

Speaking at Kent State University in Ohio on Wednesday, President Obama misspoke, stating, "I want to see us export more jobs." Quickly correcting his remark to be, "export more products," he joked, "I was channeling my opponent there for a second."

In fact, if you listen to the recording, he says, "Actually, I - I - I - I - I - I was channeling my opponent there for a second."

Maybe we should have a Navy corpse-man check him out.

Yet another reason that SCOAMF is the quintessential description of First Air Marshal Obama, the failiest man ever to serve as President.

Jimmy Carter just breathed a huge sigh of relief.

Fascists-In-Training Just Knocked Conservative Blogger @NiceDeb Off the Air. Here's How You Can Help!

Conservative blogger Nice Deb at http://nicedeb.wordpress.com just had her blog TOSsed and booted off the air by WordPress.

My guess is that some miscreant, wannabe-fascists on the left reported bogus "Terms of Service" (TOS) violations to get her all-too-accurate commentary kicked off the air.

Don't get "Nice Deb" angry. Her nickname is kinda like calling that Left Tackle "Tiny"

A CLEAR PICTURE: UnskewedPolls.com

Well, this qualifies as interesting:

If you haven’t checked it out, please visit UnskewedPolls.com... Okay, so this website factors out the deliberate skewing that the Left is inserting in all the current national polls to give Barack Obama a lead over Mitt Romney when in reality Obama is trailing Romney and losing the election.

The corrupt, vintage media is running this propaganda for three reasons:

• Showing Obama in the lead causes a “bandwagon effect” where low-information voters think to themselves “Obama’s winning, and I like betting on winners, so I’ll vote for him too, I guess since the tee-vee told me I needed to”
• Eeyores in conservative ranks are a skittish, worrisome lot by nature and will seize on any poll with Obama in the lead to collapse onto the ground in tears, screaming “We’re DOOOOOOMED!” because they are gluttons for attention
• The Legion of Gloom (that band of Fifth Column writers at conservative sites and in the media) just loves running these polls with headlines like “Can Romney Still Win?” because Eeyores eat that garbage up like it’s McRib sandwiches, three for $5, and this succeeds in Eeyore-breeding (the process of creating new Eeyores by running nonstop poll-driven headlines that “Romney is losing! Doom is coming!”).

...Do you ever see headlines like this on TV or any of the Left’s sites?

Can Obama still win? Considering he is polling far less than 50% in accurate samples that reflect current voter affiliation in this country, this is the question everyone should be asking right now… is there any way in Hell for Obama to win this, even with massive voter fraud? I think the answer to that is no. Too bad the jackasses on conservative sites fail to ask this question and instead love running “Can Romney still win?” instead.

Will Obama Overcome? No, he won’t. Even here in Illinois, Obama’s ground game is week, he’s not paying out street money to thugs because he doesn’t have the funds available, and Democrats find nothing inspiring or motivational about his campaign...

Does Obama Need A Shakeup? Yes, but it’s too late for that. Do you know that Obama staffers are sending out resumes for their next jobs, post-White House? David Axelrod long ago moved on to other things here in Chicago. He is minimally focused on Obama’s re-election campaign because he knows Obama won’t win... Axelrod left Obama after the 2010 midterms. He did not think he had until 2014 in the White House. THIS SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING.

Is Obama Losing? Hell to the Yes. His campaign sends out 5 or 6 emails a day begging for money. Not “asking”. BEGGING. I’ve never seen anything so desperate. I am surprised he has not dragged Sally Struthers out of her house of clutter and junk (she was recently outed as a major hoarder) to make commercials for him begging for money like those old “Feed the Children” spots in the 80s where she’d lay down guilt like it was molasses. Michelle Obama sent emails out asking people to skip their family’s dinners and donate the money to the campaign. Obama asked people to sell their things at yard sales or on Craigslist and give him the money. Sometimes the emails I get from Joe Biden asking me to have dinner with him seem so creepy I want to report him as a romantic stalker. It’s all SO STRANGE and so desperate.

Some of the comments are interesting:

• I live in deep blue Brookline, MA, and my Romney yard sign stands out like a sore thumb, but it hasn’t been stolen yet, and I haven’t seen a single Obama yard sign anywhere. Last time they were everywhere, and almost every other car had an Obama bumper sticker. There are some of those this time, but nowhere near as many.

• NC is considered gone for Obama. He’s still advertising here, but no campaign stops. He and Biden were in NC every fifteen minutes in 08, as were Palin and McCain. The closest campaign stops R/R are in VA. And where in VA? Nearer to DC, the blue strongholds. Want something far more reliable to indicate the state of the race – look at where they are campaigning.

• Here in Ohio, There are NO Obama signs except in front of the Union Halls. Even in the blue parts of the states such as Cleveland, Columbus & Cincinnati, there are few if any signs. College campuses same thing few if any signs. In the suburban & rural parts of the state, NONE. Personally, I think his approval rating in Ohio is about 40%. All the commercials Team Obama & MSM spin have been running in this state are just a waste of money. Voters in this state voted down Obamacare by 2 to 1 margin last November. .Why would they turn around & reelect him. As far as, the debates probably won’t matter in the end. Romney will win Ohio.

• ...to prove the point you are making about polls, I looked up the NJ Governor’s poll from 2009. The Real Clear Politics poll average had Chris Christie winning by a single point. He beat Jon Corzine by a whopping 6 points. Even Rasmussen, who is the most accurate, was off by 3 points... And if you scroll down, just a week to 10 days prior to election day some of the polls had Corzine up by 4 to 5 points.

Tell the media to kiss it. Toss a couple of bucks to America's Comeback Team.

YOO-HOO, ANTIQUE MEDIA: You figured out yet that everything the White House told you about Benghazi was a lie?

Stephen Hayes does the rundown, which can be summarized as follows:

Ambassador Susan Rice lied on five Sunday talk shows last week, saying that the attack that killed Ambassador Stevens was not "premeditated or preplanned".

Ambassador Susan Rice also lied about Stevens' security, stating that " two of the four Americans who were killed were there providing security."

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney lied that the attacks had nothing to do with the anniversary of 9/11.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lied as well, indicating that an anti-Islamic film was the cause of the non-existent protests in Benghazi

Hillary's State Department lied; first downplaying the possibility of 9/11 terror attacks and then scrubbing its website to remove its horrific mistake

Clinton also lied to Senate Republicans, claiming they did not have details of the terror attacks when they were instead revealing those details to The New York Times

President Barack Obama also lied, echoing the same falsehoods for days on end

The facts: There was no protest in Benghazi. There was only a planned, premeditated terror attack on the U.S. consulate. The attack was initiated on the anniversary of 9/11. And two heroic ex-Navy SEALs -- who were not part of Ambassador Stevens' security team -- jumped into the fray and died protecting him.

This is a scandal. And even Sixties media is going to have to cover it.

"Recession is when your neighbor loses his job. Depression is when you lose yours. And recovery is when Barack Obama loses his."

Peter Brady analyzes this week's depressing jobs report.

Initial jobless claims were just announced at 382K, much higher than the expected of 375K.

Last week's claims were announced at 382K, but revised up to 385K.

Today's headlines across all media outlets: JOBLESS CLAIMS FALL BY 3K

BREAKING: Romney's Tax Returns Released as Layered PDFs

This breaking news is brought to you by The People's Cube:

As Romney belatedly releases his tax returns, many experts question their authenticity, converting the documents to PDF and examining them for hidden layers. According to Sen. Harry Reid, some of the tax tables used were not in effect at the time of the alleged "returns."

I hear that Brian Ross is all over this story.

Campaign that wrote off the white working class decries Romney's concerns with the culture of dependency

The latest "Romney Can't Win" meme being marketed by vintage media (number 2,280 by my count) revolves around a tape of Mitt Romney discussing campaign strategy:

"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what," Romney is shown saying in a video posted online by the magazine. "There are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe that government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it."

"Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax," Romney said... "[my role] is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

President Obama's campaign was quick to jump into the fray:

Obama's campaign called the video "shocking"... "It's hard to serve as president for all Americans when you've disdainfully written off half the nation," Obama campaign manager Jim Messina said in a statement.

Speaking of "writing off" voters, remember this golden oldie from The New York Times?

Obama campaign abandons white working-class voters

President Barack Obama's 2012 re-election campaign will be the first in modern political history to abandon white working-class voters, strategists claim.

For decades, Democrats have been losing more and more blue collar whites. Their alienation helped lead to the massive Republican wave in 2010, when the GOP wooed 30 percent more of them than the Democrats could. Democratic strategists say President Obama is focusing his attention, instead, on poor black and Hispanic voters and educated white professionals...

'All pretense of trying to win a majority of the white working class has been effectively jettisoned in favor of cementing a center-left coalition made up, on the one hand, of voters who have gotten ahead on the basis of educational attainment... and a second, substantial constituency of lower-income voters who are disproportionately African-American and Hispanic,' longtime political reporter Thomas B. Edsall wrote in an opinion piece in the New York Times... 'The 2012 approach treats white voters without college degrees as an unattainable cohort,' he writes later.

Hot Air notes that this will have the same devastating effect that candidate Obama's "bitterly clinging to their guns and religion" comment had in 2008. Which is to say: none.

Like all of the media-manufactured kerfuffles, it will be all but forgotten within one week or until Iran detonates its first nuke, whichever comes first.

10 Arab Spring™ Stories You Won't Be Reading in Vintage Media

10. Hezbollah Leader Comes Out of Hiding, Rallies 500,000 Terror Supporters Against Nobel Peace Prize Winner: Hassan Nasrallah, leader of the vicious terror group Hezbollah, hadn't been seen in public since December 2011. The Arab Spring prompted him to pop out of his hole today and he led a rally of half a million Hezbollah members and terror supporters in Beirut. Their mission? To exterminate the United States and Israel.

9. While the Middle East erupted, President Obama watched a whole lot of football this weekend: According to White House press reporter Amy Gardner, the President watched "a [whole] lot of football".

8. And he pretends he's going to work on Saturdays and instead watches 'Homeland': "While Michelle and the two girls go play tennis on Saturday afternoons, I go in the Oval Office, pretend I’m going to work, and then I switch on ‘Homeland.’"

Between the football, the Homeland, the golf, Letterman, Jay-Z, Beyonce and other fundraisers, it's a wonder he has any time for intelligence or economic briefings. Oh, you say he doesn't have time for those? Gotcha.

7. Oops. Former DNC Head Crazy Howard Dean Admits Obama at Fault for Rupturing Alliance With Israel: In an interview, Howard Dean accidentally blurted out the truth:

Because it’s incredibly foolish for one of our critical allies to make that relationship worse. My guess is the personal relationship between Netanyahu and President Obama is not all that good. I think most of that has to do with President Obama. If you look back at our relationship with Israel, which is historically incredibly strong and remains strong, this is really a personality problem.

After the usual cattle-prod and taser treatment, Cory Booker-style, Dean appeared in a hostage video walking back his statement.

6. Mitt Romney is not getting the intelligence briefings his predecessors received.

Given the gravity of issues facing a prospective commander-in-chief, it has become customary for each party's nominee to receive regular intelligence updates during the run-up to the fall election. In 2008, then-Senator Barack Obama received his first briefing just five days after accepting the Democratic nomination.

So why hasn't Mitt Romney received the same courtesy? According to a spokesman for the Director of National Intelligence, it's a matter of "logistics."

5. The Obama administration has refused to rule out Sharia Blasphemy Laws. It's that pesky First Amendment again! Thomas Perez, Obama's assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, refused to say on the record that the DOJ won’t try to criminalize blasphemy in the future.

4. In Pakistan, "Gunmen" opened fire on a bus full of nuns: A gunman opened fire on a van in Hyderabad that was carrying nuns and other women, wounding the driver. Also in Hyperabad, an unknown gunmen opened fire on the St. Xavier church also in Hyderabad, killing one. I, for one, suspect Militant Quakers are behind these attacks.

3. Netanyahu On US Embassy Attacks: ‘You Want These Fanatics To Have Nuclear Weapons?’. It's a simple question. And one that no one on the Democrat side of the aisle seems to want to answer.

2. As for turning around the perception of the United States by "the Arab Street"...? Yes, that too is an epic fail... it's now lower than that of the evil Booooooosh.

Arab approval of the United States in the Middle East has plummeted so drastically that it now is lower than it was during the presidency of George W. Bush, according to a startling new survey... The poll of over 4,000 citizens in six Arab nations -- Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates -- shows the favorability rating of the United States dropping precipitously

1. Unbelievably, the Obama administration states it's "very proud" of its foreign policy record. Perhaps World War III would mark a bigger success.

We are happy to debate — and there is certainly ample time and appropriate time to debate foreign policy approaches, this president’s record on foreign policy,” [White House spokesman Jay] Carney told reporters during the press briefing when asked if the attacks stemmed from “perceived American weakness” that stems from Obama’s leadership. “We’re very proud of the president’s record on foreign policy and are happy to make the case at the appropriate time.”

Just wondering:how many Nobel Prize Winners have touched off a World War?

Talk amongst yourselves.

OUTRAGE: But Hillary said they were taking him to the hospital: New Video Shows Crowd Cheering as Amb. Stevens is Dragged Through Streets

Breitbart relays a newly uploaded video that appears to show crowds cheering as the body of Ambassador Stevens is being dragged through the streets.

YouTube user "Abdalgadar Fadi" has uploaded a video on the arabic language version of the video sharing site purporting to show US Ambassador Christopher Stevens dragged from the consulate in Benghazi.

The translation of the text below the video reads: "Moment directed the U.S. ambassador before his death" and the headline translates to: “U.S. Ambassador and the people of Benghazi rescue attempt before his death.”

The victim in the video appears to be wearing the same pants, belt and t-shirt seen in this photo of Amb. Stevens.

The validity of the video and the accuracy of the description of the events it depicts are still under investigation, but through Twitter and Facebook the video has already taken a life of its own.

Developing... (John Sexton and Morgen Richmond contributed to this report)

Which represents another in a series of lies promulgated by this administration: "Hillary Clinton said Libyans tried to save Ambassador Steven’s life and brought him to a hospital."

The Independent said the Obama administration had 48 hours notice that the embassies in Cairo and Benghazi were targets but they did nothing to warn them or put them in lockdown. The attack might have been an inside job. [Update: 9/14: Jay Carney denied today that the U.S. had any knowledge of the upcoming attacks]

Documents revealing the names of Libyans working with the U.S. government were lost as well as information on oil contracts... One witness said that there were at least 400 of these violent protesters and nothing would have stopped them. Our State Department said there were 20.

Hillary Clinton said Libyans tried to save Ambassador Steven’s life and brought him to a hospital. There are conflicting reports about whether he was tortured or brought to the hospital to be rescued... Other reports say that Stevens went missing first and his corpse was later taken to the hospital with his body being returned at an airport 12 hours later.

...Information now leaking out points to the attacks being planned for the 9/11 anniversary... There were no U.S. military personnel at the Benghazi Embassy even though it had been attacked before.

But according to dinosaur media, it was Mitt Romney that had a really bad week.

Just to recap: this week, we discovered the president missed all of his intelligence briefings leading up to 9/11. He ignored multiple warnings of attacks on U.S. interests. The Ambassador to Libya and several other State Department personnel were subsequently murdered by Islamist terrorists and dragged through the streets. Dozens of U.S. embassies and consulates around the globe were targeted for attacks and protests, which are ongoing even today.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke announced more money-printing in the form of additional quantitative easing, after two bursts failed to spur an economy descending into an outright depression. The labor-force participation rate hit a 31-year low. And the U.S. just registered its fourth consecutive trillion-dollar deficit.

But it was Mitt Romney that had a bad week.

The good news: left-wing print media is bleeding out as we speak.

CBS: Obama has three-point edge over Romney! (Er, please ignore the wildly inappropriate sample we used to get there)

Just when you thought the media couldn't become even more of a laughingstock, they try something like this:

The polls are specifically designed to drive a narrative that Obama is surging and Romney is struggling. Increasingly, though, the polls are having to go to ridiculous efforts to support this meme. Friday's CBS/New York Times poll, for example, uses a D+13 sample of registered voters. This is absurd.

...In 2008, an historic election wave for Democrats, the electorate was D+7. In 2004, when George W. Bush won reelection, the electorate was evenly split. In other words, D+0. Repeat after me; the Democrat share of the electorate is not going to double this year. Given the well-noted enthusiasm edge for Republicans this year, the electorate is going to be far closer to the 2004 model than 2008. Any poll trying to replicate the 2008 is going to artificially inflate Obama's support.

Let's try a simple thought experiment. Imagine if, for a week, all media polls decided to use a sample that replicated the 2004 electorate--a D+0 model. Given the GOP's enthusiasm edge--even the CBS poll found Republicans voters with a double-digit lead on enthusiasm for the election--the electorate is going to look a lot more like 2004 than 2008. Imagine how the narrative of the campaign would change. The CBS poll found Romney beating Obama among Independents by 11 points. With a balanced partisan sample, Romney would likely post consistent leads against Obama.

Let me repeat: Even this pathetic excuse for a Times poll shows Independents breaking for Romney by a double-digit (11 percent) margin.

Furthermore, more likely voters are self-identifying as Republicans, not Democrats. The numbers this year would indicate that an R+3 model is required for accuracy.

And an R+3 model by these corrupt SOBs would have Romney winning by a very formidable margin.

We are watching legacy media die, right before our eyes. Not only is the media utterly corrupt, but so are their polls, "news" articles, and op-eds.

Vote accordingly in November.

Best Chart o' the Day: Just Desserts

Via Henry Blodget's left-wing e-pub Business Insider comes this heartening news:

[This chart Mark J. Perry] shows inflation-adjusted newspaper advertising revenue over the past 60 years... Thanks to the precipitous decline in the last ~7 years, the industry is now back to where we it was in 1950. And it's only slightly better off when you factor in online revenue.

Journalism professor Jay Rosen of NYU observes that the peak year was the one in which blogging software first appeared.

So bloggers killed the newspaper star?

Oh, the humanity.

Must-See Proof: Corrupt Media, Corrupt Polls

We already knew that legacy media was completely and utterly corrupt, with ironclad confirmation coming in the form of the recent gang-attack conspiracy against Mitt Romney.

Now, @NumbersMuncher (via @AriFleischer) represents graphically that very same corruption. Namely, how most recent Bizarro-Polls show Barack Obama in the lead despite a disastrous economy and a Mideast in flames.

Briefly put, the polls showing the SCOAMF in the lead are oversampling Democrats to bias the results.

But what should the samples be? Rasmussen (the most accurate of the 2008 presidential pollsters) posits the following ratio:

Point 1: For 2012, the average Republican-to-Democrat sample, the correct sample should be 36 (R) to 33 (D) to 31 (I).

Point 2: Among likely voters, independents break for Romney, 51 percent to 40 percent (according to the ultra-liberal National Journal).

So let's just get this straight: more people identify as Republicans than Democrats and Independents break by a double-digit margin for the Romney-Ryan ticket.

And, in the midst of an conflagration in the Middle East, QE3, and an economy back in recession, the media is trying to save this election for the SCOAMF.

Here's a hint, Chrissie Milbank-Dionne: It. Ain't. Gonna. Work. 2010 will look like a fond memory in comparison.

Barack Obama Channels Jimmy Carter (Again)

Barack Obama, September 12, 2012:

"There's a broader lesson to be learned here. Gov. Romney seems to have a tendency to shoot first and aim later," Obama said in an interview with CBS News's Steve Kroft that was scheduled before four Americans were killed Tuesday at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

"As president, one of the things I've learned is you can't do that," Obama added. "It's important for you to make sure that the statements that you make are backed up by the facts and that you've thought through the ramifications before you make them."

Jimmy Carter, August 15, 1980:

In their fantasy world, all the complex global changes of the world since World War II have never happened. In their fantasy America, all problems have simple solutions -- simple and wrong.

It's a make-believe world, a world of good guys and bad guys where some politicians shoot first and ask questions later.

"Shoot first and aim later"?

You mean like blurting out the fact that Egypt's no longer an ally?

Criticism of the president's foreign policy by the opposition party never appeared to be much of an issue for vintage media when George W. Bush was in office.

Harry Reid's despicable declaration that "this war is lost" comes to mind. Or the Democrats' slanderous rhetoric about U.S. troops in Iraq.
