MARK LEVIN ATTACKED: @NPR book reviewer @Annalisa_Quinn Must Resign or Be Terminated

You might think that an Amazon #1 bestseller -- as Mark Levin’s ninth book has become -- would merit serious reviews from serious people. Obviously, NPR’s choice of Annalisa Quinn, a sometimes contributor to The New York Times, is immediately suspect. Conflict of interest much?

As one might have guessed from minute zero, Quinn’s review of Unfreedom of the Press is not about Levin’s book, but undermining its premise through insult, not argument.

Beginning with ad hominem attacks and ending with emotional diatribes, Quinn’s “review” of an academically documented and nonfiction bestseller is an outrage, but -- as Levin has carefully outlined -- easy to have predicted.

The first two paragraphs of Quinn’s review do not, of course, touch upon the book itself.

They are instead meritless and poisonous attacks on the author. Excoriating the writer before even touching upon the content is the mark of an unserious reviewer. Further, Quinn’s characterization of Levin -- in the very first sentence of the review -- as “fringe” betray her inability to objectively review any book.

In his latest bestseller Unfreedom of the Press -- already number four one on Amazon’s list even before its release -- Mark Levin traces the lineage of American media from the early Patriot Press to today’s disconcerting situation.

I call it disconcerting because, as Levin outlines in stunning fashion, it is clear that half of the country simply does not trust the ideological echo chamber that today makes up 95% of current media outlets.

Surveys indicate that few Republicans trust the media, while the majority of Democrats do.

In other words, today's media has abandoned the interests of half of the entire country. So how did we get here? And how can this situation be addressed? These critical questions are the subject of Levin's Unfreedom of the Press.

FOR DISGRUNTLED @CNN AND @MSNBC VIEWERS ONLY: Reeducation Digest #1

As a public service for long-time viewers of CNN and MSNBC who were shocked to discover that the two-year long narrative of Trump-Russia collusion was a total and complete hoax, the following tidbits may help in your red-pill journey:

1. 
   Did you know that Obama’s CIA director, John Brennan, was a Communist and, according to a former FBI agent, is a convert to Islam?
2. In court proceedings in the UK, Christopher Steele, the man behind the “Russian Dossier”, has admitted under oath that the entire document was “unverified material" and expressed shock that it was made public by BuzzFeed.
3. Remember when Rep. Adam Schiff published a response to the “Nunes Memo”, outlining how the DOJ and FBI really didn’t violate any norms, laws or protocols in spying on the Trump campaign (and, later, the administration)? Guess what? Now that the transcripts of DOJ/FBI officials are becoming public, it turns out Schiff’s document is filled with lies and misstatements. Exhibit 1: Schiff’s claim that the “Collusion” probe was opened in July of 2016. This appears to be direct lie, as both The New York Times and Rep. Devin Nunes have confirmed that the secret investigation into Trump began in “late 2015, early 2016”.
4. Obama-era FBI director James Comey also apparently lied about when the investigation began. Like his disgraced, fired FBI deputy Andrew McCabe, Comey is reported to be the subject of a criminal referral for perjury and leaking of classified information.

HOW TIME FLIES: When will the diabolically evil schmucks at the NYT be held to account for their lies?

I'm still patiently waiting for a formal apology by The New York Times to Mark Levin.

Remember, Levin was the first to publicly denounce the Obama administration for illegal surveillance of the Trump campaign and, later, the Trump administration. He used all open-source material to back his claims.

The enemy of the people -- big government-funded, fake-news media -- ridiculed Levin for his assertions. And, as anyone could have predicted, the Times, CNN, MSNBC, et. al., are now eating crow. The hilarious aspect of all of this? How surprised readers of the NYT and WaPo are at the volley of reality missiles landing ever-closer to their Reich Bunker.

The total exoneration of President Trump and his campaign has given his voters a few days of smiles and happy headlines, but not deep satisfaction. The claim that Donald Trump, his family, and his staff were traitors and Russian agents remains a sickening reminder of the corruption of our FBI, Department of Justice, and Barack Obama’s administration. The debasement of our once free press into a state propaganda ministry is an ongoing assault on our country. None of these problems are resolved with the end of Robert Mueller’s witch hunt.

The Russia collusion hoax has left the credibility of our justice system in tatters. We did, in fact, have Russian collusion to affect the outcome of 2016 the election—and it was entirely the handiwork of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Justice requires not only that the innocent are exonerated, but that the guilty are punished. It isn’t going to happen. Justice takes a second seat to politics.

How It Came to Be

It was obvious from the first that Hillary Clinton, via Fusion GPS, was the creative force behind the Russian collusion hoax. The euphemism “dossier” could not disguise what was soon revealed to be a concoction of opposition research lies. Worse, Clinton’s accusations were produced in collusion with Russian agents—“dossier” author and former British spy Christopher Steele relied on old contacts in Moscow to relay unverifiable gossip—in order to discredit the outcome of a presidential election.

AT LAST: Real Evidence of Russian Collusion Emerges

For those looking for evidence -- hard evidence -- of actual Russian collusion, look no further than The Hill's John Solomon's reporting. About a week ago, he published a summary of dealings between members of the Obama administration and Russian state actors entitled "The case for Russia collusion … against the Democrats".

What if the FBI Had Probed Obama for Collusion with Iran?

That’s the question Lee Smith poses at The Wall Street Journal in a thought experiment that lays bare the greatest scandal in American scandal, #Spygate:

The Federal Bureau of Investigation reportedly opened a counterintelligence investigation in 2017 to find out if President Trump was a Russian agent. What if the FBI had similarly looked into whether President Obama was an agent of Iran?

Counterintelligence agents would have examined the target’s personal and professional networks. The FBI investigated at least four Trump campaign figures for supposed ties to Russia. Only one, Mike Flynn, worked in the administration, and for less than a month. The Obama administration had a few senior officials with personal ties to Iran.

As Smith points out, Obam’s consigliere, Valerie Jarrett, is Iranian-born and apparently led a series of secret negotiations with the world’s foremost terror state. And Secretary of State John Kerry’s daughter was said to have had close ties to the son of Iran’s foreign minister.

By the FBI’s Trump standards, those suspicions would have led to wiretaps of Obama, Jarrett and others.

NOT THANKFUL FOR NPR: National Public Radio is a National Disgrace

For decades taxpayers have funded the Public Broadcasting System (PBS), which operates National Public Radio (NPR).

Someone unfamiliar with NPR's programming might assume that the network, given its reliance on taxpayer funding, would attempt to represent a broad set of political viewpoints.

Unfortunately, NPR long ago abandoned any effort to fairly represent a wide spectrum of political opinion. NPR's content instead appears solely focused on promoting progressive policies.

Its stories, covering topics as diverse as climate science and the Second Amendment, universally adopt adversarial positions against the right. Furthermore, NPR operates as a de facto public relations arm for the Democrat Party. Its massive distribution network promotes far-left policy positions by employing creative tactics that all intellectually honest listeners should understand and deconstruct.

MARK LEVIN: My Brief Take on the CNN Lawsuit

I just read CNN's lawsuit against the administration over Jim Acosta.

It's a very weak case, but if they get before an Obama or Clinton district judge, who knows?

CNN hired Ted Olson's firm, and he has signed onto the lawsuit. Olson was hired for a few reasons:

  1. As a former Reagan official and lawyer for Bush in Bush-Gore, CNN hopes to make the PR case that this a bipartisan matter;
  2. CNN hopes to make the PR case that it is upholding the Constitution against a rogue administration; and,
  3. CNN has employed a top Supreme Court litigator.

Nonetheless, it is a ridiculous suit.

CNN still has reporters at the White House and in the presidential press conferences; Acosta does not have a constitutional right to be physically present in the press room, anymore than the scores of media outlets that do not.

Acosta can watch the press conference from outside the White House grounds as they are televised; the president cannot be compelled by any court to actually call on any particular reporter during a press conference.

Acosta does not have a constitutional right to disrupt the press conference with his various antics anymore than any other reporter; and, a president is not constitutionally compelled to hold a presidential press conference.

The courts should stay out of this on separation of powers grounds, among other things.

No one is preventing Acosta from reporting or CNN from broadcasting.
