MAYBE HARVEY WEINSTEIN CAN MAKE A MOVIE ABOUT BENGHAZI: Obama Ignored Attack, Went to Sleep as Americans Died

It turns out that Obama contributor and Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein is releasing his TV movie about Bin Laden raid just two days before the election. Oh, and he's expanded and fictionalized the president's role in the attack to make him appear more assertive and decisive.

Thanks to the magic of editing, President Obama will have a starring role in a television drama about one of his biggest accomplishments — the killing of Osama bin Laden — that will be shown just two nights before the presidential election.

...Set for a prime-time debut on Nov. 4 on the National Geographic Channel, and a release the next day on Netflix, the film — “SEAL Team Six: The Raid on Osama bin Laden” — is being backed by Harvey Weinstein, a longtime Democratic contributor and one of the Obama campaign’s most vigorous backers. Mr. Weinstein bought the rights to the film for about $2.5 million at the Cannes festival in May…

But promotional materials and a copy of the movie provided to The New York Times this week also show that the film has been recut, using news and documentary footage to strengthen Mr. Obama’s role and provide a window into decision-making in the White House...

...And Howard T. Owens, the chief executive of the National Geographic Channel, who joined the call, said his company had insisted on removing a scene that showed Mitt Romney appearing to oppose the raid.

I wonder if Weinstein included Valerie Jarrett's role in the raid? She blocked the raid at least three times -- overruling the president -- which could have resulted in disaster as weeks went by before Hillary Clinton demanded action.

Or maybe the loathsome Weinstein could do a film about Obama's leadership as Ambassador Stevens and three other heroic Americans died needlessly at Benghazi.

• White House officials watched the terror strike live by unmanned Predator drone

• White House knew Al-Qaeda linked group was behind terror strike at 6:07 PM EST on 9-11

• An estimated 300 to 400 ‘national security figures’ received emails from Libya day of attack

• US Troops in Italy were not called in to rescue officials

• 200 attacks in Benghazi before 9-11

• The Obama Administration was concerned using troops from Italy would violate Libyan sovereignty

The US had troops in Sigonella, Italy – about an hour away. The attack went on for at least four hours.

Obama did nothing. He took no action and, in fact, is said to have gone to sleep in order to be well-rested for a fundraiser in Las Vegas.

Or maybe Valerie Jarrett was indisposed, which explains why he was unable to make a decision.

ANALYZING OHIO: A Bellwether District in a Bellwether County in a Bellwether State

Hamilton County -- home to Cincinnati -- sits in the southwest corner of Ohio. Election analysts have pointed to it as the single bellwether county for the state. It's safe to say that as Hamilton County goes, so goes Ohio. And as Ohio goes, so goes the entire nation.

Why is Hamilton such a bellwether? Consider the 2008 election, when Barack Obama won the state 51.2 percent to 47.2 over John McCain.

Hamilton County was the largest county in Ohio to model almost the exact 2008 statewide result, with Obama capturing 52.0 percent versus McCain's 47.0. Montgomery County, home to the city of Dayton, also modeled the 2008 result with a 52.0 to 47.0 margin, but is substantially smaller than Hamilton County.

In 2008, the Ohio District 1 House race pitted Steve Driehaus against incumbent Republican Steve Chabot. Driehaus won by a margin of 3 points, a spread nearly identical to that of Obama at 51.5 to 48.5.

But in 2010, Chabot -- with the rise of the Tea Party -- won his seat back from Driehaus by 5 points, 51.5 to 46.0. To be clear, Chabot was not a popular choice among fiscal conservatives; but the rage against Driehaus -- regarding Obamacare and the rest of the Obama agenda -- was sufficient to reverse the 2008 results with a swing of 8.5 points.

In 2008 and 2010, Ohio's District 1 represented the west side of Hamilton County -- and the west side of Cincinnati itself -- and consisted of a mix of urban, suburban and even rural voters (it has since been redistricted, so it won't be an apples-to-apples comparison). Yet the anger with Obama's agenda was sufficient enough to turn OH-1 from D+3.0 to R+5.5 between 2008 and 2010.

Did the Tea Party go away since 2010? Is the economy notably improved? Has Constitutional Conservatism disappeared? Is the world a safer place? Is Obamacare suddenly popular now?

I think it's safe to say that all five questions can be answered with the word "no".

Ohio represents a make-or-break state for both campaigns. And Hamilton County is the bellwether for the state, if the experts are to be believed. Using the 2010 results, Ohio's old District 1 very well could be a lock for Mitt Romney. And if the old OH-1 results hold, Mitt Romney is going to win Ohio by a very safe margin. I'm not in the prediction business, but I'll put a guesstimate in the comments.

What are you guys thinking about Ohio?

NO, OBAMA'S NOT GOING TO PAY YOUR MORTGAGE, SUGAR: Another Report Proves Republicans Better Informed Than Democrats

And in fact, "the results weren't even close":

...Pew’s latest survey only reaffirms previous surveys demonstrating [that Republicans are more knowledgeable than Democrats].

In a scientific survey of 1,168 adults conducted during September and October of last year, respondents were asked not only multiple-choice questions, but also queries using maps, photographs and symbols. Among other subjects, participants identified international leaders, cabinet members, Supreme Court justices, nations on a world map, the current unemployment and poverty rates and war casualty totals.

In a 2010 Pew survey, Republicans outperformed Democrats on 10 of 12 questions, with one tie and Democrats outperforming Republicans on just 1 of the 12. In the latest survey, however, Republicans outperformed Democrats on every single one of 19 questions.

Amusingly, the Pew report attempted to soften the stark partisan knowledge disparity:

“Republicans generally outperformed Democrats on the current quiz. On 13 of the 19 questions, Republicans score significantly higher than Democrats and there are no questions on which Democrats did better than Republicans. In past knowledge quizzes, partisan differences have been more muted, though Republicans often have scored somewhat higher than Democrats.”

“Generally outperformed?” “Somewhat higher?” That’s a curiously charitable way to describe the surveys, which went from previous blowouts to a complete shutout in the latest edition.

The President's poster children -- the 66% of 18-to-29 year-olds that helped propel him into office -- have likely smartened up this year. That's the kind of lesson a 53 percent unemployment and underemployment rate for college grads younger than 25 will teach.

DUJAN: Proof That the Obama Campaign Has Silently Admitted Defeat

Kevin DuJan offers a salient observation about President Axelrod's Obama's choice of venue for "celebrating" election night.

I’ve written before about the fact that Barack Obama was not planning another big Election Night victory party in Grant Park here in Chicago like the spectacle he put on in 2008, because no one I know in the Parks Department or in the event planning community had anything on their radar for Grant Park that night.

Because of the permitting and union rules that plague any event in this City (which wouldn’t be waived even for Obama, due to liability and insurance issues the City would face if anything went wrong and permitting was not followed to the “T”) we would have known a few weeks ago if Obama expected another win and was going to celebrate in Chicago again. That massive Grant Park victory rally took a while to plan and involved far too many vendors for anything similar to be replicated this year without people already knowing.

I’ve suspected for some time that Obama was going to plan for a concession speech on November 6th, but last night final confirmation arrived in the form of leaked news that the Obama election night event is being staged in private McCormick Place, not a big public setting like Grant Park.

Let me put this as clearly as I can because it’s crucial: if Democrats really thought Barack Obama was going to be reelected, then they would have planned a massive rally in Grant Park again; the fact this is not happening is proof that, despite what you hear coming out of the Ministry of Truth that is the national media, the Democrats really do not expect Obama to win this election. Campaign operatives in Chicago are, thus, making appropriate preparations for his imminent defeat.
Instead of Grant Park, Obama’s apparently going to have his election night event at McCormick Place…the convention center here in Chicago.

Let me explain a few things about McCormick Place that you could intimate from the photo above:

• it’s separated from the City by highways and is hard to reach by anyone traveling on foot from the various “El” trains that service Chicago…which indicates this event is not intended for throngs of Obama supporters.

• there are no buses that readily service McCormick Place like they do Grant Park…so once again, this event is not being planned for the public to come and celebrate with Obama.

• McCormick Place is completely indoors and is a venue that Democrats can easily control in terms of the camera angles and stagecraft of the event…which is a big deal because losing campaigns choose small, isolated places to hold concession speeches while winning candidates are feted on election night in, well, places like Grant Park.

I was an event planner here in Chicago for several years before the 2008 presidential campaign. I planned events in McCormick Place for various trade shows; it’s a building designed with flexibility for downsizing an audience if the need suddenly arises so that the participants do not feel lost in too much extra space. There are modular walls that achieve this, with dividers capable of cutting a space in half…and then in half again…if that’s what needs to be done to make a sparse crowd seem bigger for cameras.

...McCormick Place is not a spot to hold a victory rally, folks... but it is the ideal spot to give a concession speech... Take a look at that photo above again. The place sits on the highway. After the results come in, Obama just has to deliver his concession and then he’s in his car and on his way to his house in Hyde Park while Mitt Romney takes the stage in Boston as the new President-Elect. The highway that runs through McCormick Place leads right to Hyde Park…it would be less than a three minute drive for the Obama motorcade after they leave the convention center to head home and sulk.

I just don’t know any way else to put this, but planning his event at McCormick Place instead of Grant Park again (or another high profile outdoor venue like the Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park, for instance) is a tacit admission that the guy is going to lose and will have an early bedtime on Election Night in Hyde Park at the Obama/Rezko Mansion.

From Kevin's lips to God's ear.

LAST STAND: I Refuse to Give Up This Republic Without a Fight

You don't have to ride on a treacherous, unlit cow path from the north-side of Boston to Lexington as the King's Regulars attempt a surprise attack on the Sons of Liberty.

You don't have to board a frigate, sail for weeks across the Atlantic and then sack a city in Tripoli to rescue your imprisoned countrymen.

You don't have to kill a British soldier in a desperate, hand-to-hand struggle after leaping out of a boat on the beach at York during the War of 1812.

You don't have to hold the line against Pickett's desperate charge at Gettysburg as thousands of wounded men shriek bloody murder around you.

You don't have to resist a vicious attack by the Hun with fixed bayonets at Belleau Wood.

You don't have to survive a terrifying duck-boat run onto Omaha Beach as men around you are being chopped to bits by fortified Nazi gun emplacements.

You don't have to liberate the Nazi Death Camps, capping months of brutal fighting and desperate marching through the dirt roads of Europe.

You don't have to withstand a surprise attack by the Chinese 'People's Volunteer Army', fighting to hold the line in 35°-below-zero temperatures for days on end near the Chosin Reservoir.

You don't have to defend the city of Huế from a surprise attack by Viet Cong and PAVN regulars, fighting block-to-block as the entire country is set afire by the Tet Offensive.

You don't have to race across the desert, waiting for a chemical attack or a Scud missile to hit, baking in 130° temperatures, so that you can expel Saddam Hussein's Republican Guard from Kuwait.

You don't have to patrol a patch of hard-scrabble earth in Aghanistan or Iraq, waiting for the inevitable IED by the side of the road -- or signs that you've rolled right into an ambush by heavily-armed 'insurgents' equipped with Iranian RPGs.

You don't have to do any of those things. You just have to vote in November. You just have to take the time to rally your neighbors, your family members and your co-workers to vote for candidates who believe in the Constitution. You must marshal voters who will reject the out-of-control, free-spending government that has brought our country to the edge of bankruptcy.

Because if the Constitution doesn't mean anything, if all of the founders' sacrifices went for naught, if all of those American heroes who fought and bled and died for the flag mean nothing, if all your parents and grandparents gave you doesn't amount to a hill of beans, well, then our generation will be forever known as the weak-willed group that let the American dream slip from our fingers.

And we will be known forever as the generation that allowed American exceptionalism to be stolen from us by a radical leftist from San Francisco, a crooked, power-hungry weasel of a man from Nevada, and an Alinsky-trained community organizer who rose to the presidency without qualifications or even so much as a background check by the media.

You don't have to bleed for your country. All you have to do is rally our forces to vote in November. That is what we can do and that is what we must do to preserve this Republic for future generations.

THIS: The Gathering

You can feel the excitement. It's palpable.

...speaking of rallies, this was Romney's in Virginia last night:

...the Obama campaign resembles nothing so much as John McCain's did at this point in 2008 -- aware of its pending defeat, but struggling on and hoping for some enormous "game changer" to arrive... [Romney's] edge is so great --and the early voting during these weeks of Romney ascendancy so significant-- that the president knows and his inner circle knows there is defeat ahead...

Which means the last debate will be even more off-putting than the last two as a desperate incumbent again tries to make up for the lack of a record on which to run, and the failure to develop anything resembling a second term agenda. Too late for that as well.

Turns out the "brain trust" in Chicago didn't have that many brains and ought not to have been trusted.

And one reminder: take nothing for granted. Whether you live in a pure Red State, a pure Blue State, or anything in between:

• Vote and get everyone you know who supports liberty to vote.
• Vote the straight Republican ticket.
• Every radical Leftist Democrat must be fired with extreme prejudice.

Because if we are to repeal Obamacare, we must take not only the Presidency, but hold the House and take the Senate as well. It's time to rally everyone you know. Let's make this a moment we'll tell our kids and grandkids about.

BOLDLY INTO THE BREACH: The true story of SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods and their heroism at Benghazi

Atreides writes:

President Obama implied in his Weekly Address that Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were part of Ambassador Christopher Steven’s security detail:

Glen and Tyrone had each served America as Navy SEALs for many years, before continuing their service providing security for our diplomats in Libya. They died as they lived their lives — defending their fellow Americans, and advancing the values that all of us hold dear.

Sounds good, the only problem is this statement is a total fabrication. Yes, they were both former Navy Seals, but neither Tyrone nor Glen were part of the Ambassador's official security detail.

No. The truth is: they heard the attack, they heard the gunfire, and despite the danger to themselves they rushed into the breach taking weapons from the frightened Libyan security officials to help protect the American Consulate, Ambassador Stevens and his embassy aide Sean Smith.

Both Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were under no obligation to assist, protect or defend Stevens. They could have bugged out, they didn't….. They ran into the breach. It was, and is, an important enough distinction such that two U.S. officials quickly wanted to tell the truth. They told the Guardian:

...they feared the Obama administration’s scant description of the episode left a mis-impression that the two ex-Navy SEALs might have been responsible for the ambassador’s personal safety or become separated from him.

Woods and Doherty weren't part of the detail, nor were they personally responsible for the ambassador’s security, but they stepped into the breach when the attacks occurred and their actions saved others lives — and they shouldn’t be lumped in with the security detail,...

According to what scant actual information is available the former SEAL team members, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, appear to have been in Libya because they were contracted by another intelligence office to track down the missing surface-to-air missiles from the initial rebel uprising.

During the Gadaffi overthrow massive stockpiles of Libyan weapons including MANPADS and other surface to air missiles were looted from the military storage facilities. Estimates put the number of missing missiles around 20,000.

It appears Doherty and Woods were in Libya to track down those weapons. As a consequence of their visit they were crashed at an annex to the US consulate grounds using it as a safe place to meet, coordinate, and evaluate their ongoing intel. Their location was approximately a half mile from the main consulate compound area.

They were inside an annex building when the main consulate complex came under attack from the Libyan al-Qaeda terrorists. They heard the distant shots and responded to a call for help from the compound itself. Both Woods and Doherty evaluated the assassination attempt, and immediately took up arms to defend Ambassador Stevens.

Their heroism is incredible when you consider what they were facing. Doherty and Woods reached the main compound of the Consulate and evacuated approximately 20 employees. Unfortunately, Ambassador Steven’s aide Sean Smith was already dead when they arrived. Woods and Doherty fought through the firefight, and took the consulate employees back to the annex building where again they came under another wave of attacks.

Between the initial firefight at the Main Consulate, and at the annex building, for over two hours they were able to fight back against approximately 200 al-Qaeda terrorists, who pre-planned and coordinated the attack to occur in two stages.

The second wave of attacks at the annex brought even more firepower upon them. Yet they held their position providing time for the 20 consulate employees to be rescued. In total for over two hours they held off upwards of 200 attackers, under heavy fire from RPGs, mortars, and at least one 23mm Anti Aircraft gun firing on their position(s) around the consulate grounds and the annex building.

May they rest in peace and their memories be for a blessing. Our thoughts and prayers are with their loved ones.

BUMPER STICKER O' THE DAY: Counter-Revolution

Ame sent this one in:

That outlook is a tad defeatist if you ask me. We still have a little bit of time to stop the Left's Counter-Revolution. We have four weeks to do everything in our power to crush the corrupt, craven, and criminal Democrat Machine at the ballot box.

It's time for them to go back to wherever the hell it is they came from. Chicago and San Francisco and Manhattan and points in between. Smash them at the ballot box -- at every level of government -- and teach them a lesson they'll never forget: Socialists and Communists aren't welcome in a Constitutional Republic.

MELTDOWN: Intel Community Blasts Obama for Removing Amb. Stevens' Security, Lying About Al Qaeda and Covering Up Its Epic Failures

I wonder if releasing a movie that depicts the president double-tapping Bin Laden will help?

Revolt of the Spooks

Intelligence officials angered by Obama administration cover up of intelligence on Iranian, al Qaeda surge in Egypt and Libya

Weeks before the presidential election, President Barack Obama’s administration faces mounting opposition from within the ranks of U.S. intelligence agencies over what career officers say is a “cover up” of intelligence information about terrorism in North Africa.

Intelligence held back from senior officials and the public includes numerous classified reports revealing clear Iranian support for jihadists throughout the tumultuous North Africa and Middle East region, as well as notably widespread al Qaeda penetration into Egypt and Libya in the months before the deadly Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

...Intelligence officials pointed to the statement issued Sept. 28 by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) that raised additional concern about the administration’s apparent mishandling of intelligence... Officials say the ODNI’s false information was either knowingly disseminated or was directed to be put out by senior policy officials for political reasons, since the statement was contradicted by numerous intelligence reports at the time of the attack indicating it was al Qaeda-related terrorism...

Obama, of course, stated during his convention acceptance speech that "al Qaeda is on the path to defeat", which could explain his reluctance to release contradictory information. One intel insider said, "[Obama] is afraid to admit al Qaeda is running rampant throughout the region because it would expose the truth instead of what [he] so pompously spouted during the Democratic Convention."

And some brave souls are willing to go on the record with the administration's disastrous decisions.

Congress to probe security flaws for Libya diplomats

CBS News has learned that congressional investigators have issued a subpoena to a former top security official at the US mission in Libya. The official is Lt. Col. Andy Wood, a Utah National Guard Army Green Beret who headed up a Special Forces "Site Security Team" in Libya...

...Lt. Col. Wood [said] that his 16-member team and a six-member State Department elite force called a Mobile Security Deployment team left Libya in August, just one month before the Benghazi assault... despite the fact that US officials in Libya wanted security increased, not decreased...

...Sources critical of what they view as a security drawdown say three Mobile Security Deployment teams left Libya between February and August in addition to the 16-member Site Security Team on loan from the military. That's 34 highly-trained security personnel moved out over a six month period.

One State Department source told CBS News the security teams weren't "pulled," that their mission was simply over...

Not only did the Obama administration pull Ambassador Stevens' security before the attack, it refused to send help once word of the attack had been received.

Obama Decided Not To Send In The Military To Rescue Benghazi Personnel

According to the Wall Street Journal, as the attack on the U.S. consulate was raging, Obama took a “wait and see” approach.

Ninety minutes after news of the attack reached Washington, Obama, Sec. of State Hillary Clinton, JCS Chair General Martin Dempsey, and a national security adviser convened for an oval office meeting in which they ultimately rejected the course of U.S. military intervention. Instead, they decided to reach out to the Libyan government to ask if they would send reinforcements.

When the U.S. personnel at the consulate left the main building for what was supposed to be a safe house, questions regarding the deployment of forces seemed moot.

But the battle was still raging, and Ambassador Stevens’ life was close to its end.

What is really going on in the Middle East? It's safe to say we have no idea because this administration seems to have misled the American people about everything.

TURBOTAX SHERROD BROWN: Ohio's far left Senator keeps hiking our taxes while dodging his own

According to the National Journal's rankings, Sherrod Brown was the most left wing Senator based upon his votes in 2010.

But that's not the worst of it. While voting for some of the most massive taxpayer ripoffs in history -- including Obamacare -- Brown was avoiding paying his own taxes.

Ohio Democratic U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown was more than four months delinquent in paying taxes on his Washington, D.C., apartment and had to pay a penalty and interest last week.

This was not the first time, records show.

Brown also was delinquent in 2006 and 2007 and paid penalties and interest, according to tax records from the District of Columbia.

"I was late," he said on a conference call with reporters when asked about the recent delinquency. "I misplaced the bill and I paid it as soon as I found out. I paid a penalty for being late, and it won't happen again."

When a reporter noted that it also happened five and six years ago, Brown said: "I misplaced it then. This is a small apartment. I'm not in D.C. nearly every week, I'm here when the Senate's in session, I'm here three or four nights a week. I paid the penalty. And in no way, obviously, was I avoiding taxes."

Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel -- an ex-Marine and a brilliant financial mind -- has faced an onslaught of negative advertising from Sherrod Brown and his far left cronies.

Click here to pink-slip this disgraceful hack and send him back to wherever the hell it is he came from.

A PRINTABLE CHEAT SHEET: A simple one-pager you can give to any undecided voter you know

All of us know plenty of folks who don't pay as much attention to politics as you and I. They might be busy with kids, or helping out an elderly parent, working two jobs, or volunteering with church, school or sports. Nonetheless, I feel it's important to illustrate -- in simple form -- the real world impact President Obama's policies have on everyone.

For that reason, Biff Spackle has created a PDF version of an "Undecided Voter Cheat Sheet" that you can print on a single piece of paper at your local Kinko's.

It's an easy way to get the word out. Print some copies, knock on doors, hand them out, and ask for support. Email it to your contact list. Print some out for church. Share it with your friends and colleagues.

We don't have to go to war to save our country the way our ancestors did. All we have to do is marshal everyone we can. November is coming.

KNOW ANYONE WHO WORKS FOR A DEFENSE CONTRACTOR? You may want to tell them about the surprise layoffs they'll be getting

You may have heard that the Obama administration has done its level best to hide the damage its defense cuts will do to government contractors. Its latest effort relates to the WARN Act, which requires an employer to give 60-days notice when laying off employees.

Because the administration's desperate to avoid these notices going out to employees before the election, it is "now openly bribing defense contractors not to issue layoff notices to workers."

That's right: the Obama administration is attempting to get these companies to break the law to ensure as few employees as possible find out about the cuts that will cost them their jobs.

The Labor Department issued guidance in July saying it would be “inappropriate” for contractors to issue notices of potential layoffs tied to sequestration cuts. But a few contractors, most notably Lockheed Martin, said they still were considering whether to issue the notices — which would be sent out just days before the November election.

But the Friday guidance from the Office of Management and Budget raised the stakes in the dispute, telling contractors that they would be compensated for legal costs if layoffs occur due to contract cancellations under sequestration — but only if the contractors follow the Labor guidance.

...Here is the problem for defense contractors: If they don’t file those layoff notices as required by the WARN Act, they are going to get sued by a lot of workers when the workers get fired immediately once the defense cuts go into effect. The lawsuits alone could bankrupt defense contractors whether the defense contractors win their cases or not. So the OMB is trying to sweeten the pot by telling them “Hey, we’ll (actually the taxpayers) pay your legal costs when you get sued. Don’t worry, we got your back (wink-wink) so long as we don’t send out those layoff notices.”

This is a brazen attempt to trap defense contractors into committing suicide for the purpose of getting Obama re-electe... never mind a quarter million workers losing their job suddenly in a day without any notice. The easiest way for defense contractors to avoid any liability is to comply with the WARN Act, simply following the law.

Oh, you're going to get laid off. If it wins reelection, the Obama administration will have nothing to stop it from completely shredding the U.S. military. We can see its priorities in action through its recent decision to fund the Muslim Brotherhood over, say, the U.S. Marines.

Make sure you forward this article to anyone you know who works for a defense contractor. This administration needs to go.

FORWARD: New York Times reports a 'pitched battle' just occurred between U.S. and Afghan troops

What in hell are we doing in Afghanistan under this administration? That's a rhetorical question, because no one knows, least of all the man in the White House who has fundamentally transformed the Middle East:

Shahidullah Shahid, the spokesman for the governor in Wardak Province where the fighting occurred, said the deaths came “after a clash ensued between two sides following a misunderstanding.” An Afghan official, speaking anonymously because he was not authorized to release details, said that a mortar shell had landed amid the American unit, killing a soldier and a civilian contractor and wounding several others. The Americans thought it came from a nearby Afghan National Army checkpoint on a hill overhead and attacked it with small arms and rockets, killing three and wounding three of the seven soldiers there, the official said.

The Middle East is a disaster zone -- and with Iran moving unchecked to complete its nuclear weapons -- the reelection of Barack Obama would be a catastrophic mistake.

Update: Obama Administration Blames “Friendly Fire” Attacks in Afghanistan on US Troops.

Full disclosure: I added the picture of Hillary Clinton to the screen-cap.

Homer Bailey Delivers a No-Hitter for the Republican Cause

Cincinnati Reds pitcher Homer Bailey tossed a no-hitter against the Pittsburgh Pirates last night. It was a much-needed victory for the Reds as they're battling the Washington Nationals for the best record in the National League heading into the post-season.

Lee forwards a note pointing out that Bailey's not only an ace on the mound, he's also a top gun when it comes to protecting the Republic:

You just never know who may show up at the Republican Victory Center in Kenwood [a northern suburb of Cincinnati].

Reds Pitcher Homer Bailey showed up last Saturday to encourage the volunteers to keep up the great efforts for the Republican Party. We still need volunteers and we are going to WIN this election!

Don’t pay attention to the polls which are aligned to the media. They want you to believe that the race is over. We need our voters to come out and vote. So let’s do everything possible to do just that and we WILL WIN!

Click here to find your local Victory Center. Take action. Your country needs you.

SHOCK POLL: Obama Up 99 points over Romney in Latest CNN-NYT-Zogby-NBC-Dreamworks Survey

The ludicrous Jan Crawford -- if that is her real name -- hardest hit:

CRAWFORD: Both candidates are focused on Ohio this week. It is getting tough here for Mitt Romney. Our latest poll now shows the president is up by 10 points. The poll shows the president also has a significant lead with women voters in all three of those swing states that we surveyed. But here in Ohio the president is up by 25 points with women voters. Now, today Romney will be focused on the economy. That's an issue that's been the cornerstone of his campaign, but there's trouble in our poll there for Romney, too! In our poll, for the first time, the president has taken a lead on that key issue in all three states.

RUSH: That makes a lot of sense, doesn't it? Obama's ahead by 25 points with women in Ohio, and is finally taking a lead over Romney on the economy. Yeah, 'cause the economy's gotten so much better in the last week. If it's this good for Obama, I have a bunch of questions, but one central question: Why is he there? Why is he campaigning in Ohio today? If it's that wrapped up and he's got a 10-point lead, why is he there? Why not go to some other state where it's not that big a lead?

Exactly. Obama is in Ohio because he's in trouble in Ohio.

Rasmussen August 31st: Latest national party affiliation, Republicans up four over Democrats. That's never reflected in any poll. If, by the way, you do that, if you take all these polls and you change the samples... Some guy did this at Unskewed Polls or some such thing the other day. It's been all over the Internet. If you do this, if you take every one of these polls and you exchange the sample for what Rasmussen found?

You find Romney up by anywhere from six to nine points, and in some cases ten points. That's if you use an accurate sample of Republicans and Democrats as reflected by Rasmussen's party affiliation reported on August 31st.

Vintage media wants the American people to surrender. And this we will not do.

This election is just as much about defeating old media as it is defeating the Statist Obama agenda. Voting Democrats out of office at every level of government therefore is a two-fer.

I can't wait to flip from ABC to CBS to NBC to MSNBC to CNN on election eve, just to watch the expressions on their faces. It's gonna be great. I've got the DVR cued up and the popcorn ready.

Fascists-In-Training Just Knocked Conservative Blogger @NiceDeb Off the Air. Here's How You Can Help!

Conservative blogger Nice Deb at http://nicedeb.wordpress.com just had her blog TOSsed and booted off the air by WordPress.

My guess is that some miscreant, wannabe-fascists on the left reported bogus "Terms of Service" (TOS) violations to get her all-too-accurate commentary kicked off the air.

Don't get "Nice Deb" angry. Her nickname is kinda like calling that Left Tackle "Tiny"

A CLEAR PICTURE: UnskewedPolls.com

Well, this qualifies as interesting:

If you haven’t checked it out, please visit UnskewedPolls.com... Okay, so this website factors out the deliberate skewing that the Left is inserting in all the current national polls to give Barack Obama a lead over Mitt Romney when in reality Obama is trailing Romney and losing the election.

The corrupt, vintage media is running this propaganda for three reasons:

• Showing Obama in the lead causes a “bandwagon effect” where low-information voters think to themselves “Obama’s winning, and I like betting on winners, so I’ll vote for him too, I guess since the tee-vee told me I needed to”
• Eeyores in conservative ranks are a skittish, worrisome lot by nature and will seize on any poll with Obama in the lead to collapse onto the ground in tears, screaming “We’re DOOOOOOMED!” because they are gluttons for attention
• The Legion of Gloom (that band of Fifth Column writers at conservative sites and in the media) just loves running these polls with headlines like “Can Romney Still Win?” because Eeyores eat that garbage up like it’s McRib sandwiches, three for $5, and this succeeds in Eeyore-breeding (the process of creating new Eeyores by running nonstop poll-driven headlines that “Romney is losing! Doom is coming!”).

...Do you ever see headlines like this on TV or any of the Left’s sites?

Can Obama still win? Considering he is polling far less than 50% in accurate samples that reflect current voter affiliation in this country, this is the question everyone should be asking right now… is there any way in Hell for Obama to win this, even with massive voter fraud? I think the answer to that is no. Too bad the jackasses on conservative sites fail to ask this question and instead love running “Can Romney still win?” instead.

Will Obama Overcome? No, he won’t. Even here in Illinois, Obama’s ground game is week, he’s not paying out street money to thugs because he doesn’t have the funds available, and Democrats find nothing inspiring or motivational about his campaign...

Does Obama Need A Shakeup? Yes, but it’s too late for that. Do you know that Obama staffers are sending out resumes for their next jobs, post-White House? David Axelrod long ago moved on to other things here in Chicago. He is minimally focused on Obama’s re-election campaign because he knows Obama won’t win... Axelrod left Obama after the 2010 midterms. He did not think he had until 2014 in the White House. THIS SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING.

Is Obama Losing? Hell to the Yes. His campaign sends out 5 or 6 emails a day begging for money. Not “asking”. BEGGING. I’ve never seen anything so desperate. I am surprised he has not dragged Sally Struthers out of her house of clutter and junk (she was recently outed as a major hoarder) to make commercials for him begging for money like those old “Feed the Children” spots in the 80s where she’d lay down guilt like it was molasses. Michelle Obama sent emails out asking people to skip their family’s dinners and donate the money to the campaign. Obama asked people to sell their things at yard sales or on Craigslist and give him the money. Sometimes the emails I get from Joe Biden asking me to have dinner with him seem so creepy I want to report him as a romantic stalker. It’s all SO STRANGE and so desperate.

Some of the comments are interesting:

• I live in deep blue Brookline, MA, and my Romney yard sign stands out like a sore thumb, but it hasn’t been stolen yet, and I haven’t seen a single Obama yard sign anywhere. Last time they were everywhere, and almost every other car had an Obama bumper sticker. There are some of those this time, but nowhere near as many.

• NC is considered gone for Obama. He’s still advertising here, but no campaign stops. He and Biden were in NC every fifteen minutes in 08, as were Palin and McCain. The closest campaign stops R/R are in VA. And where in VA? Nearer to DC, the blue strongholds. Want something far more reliable to indicate the state of the race – look at where they are campaigning.

• Here in Ohio, There are NO Obama signs except in front of the Union Halls. Even in the blue parts of the states such as Cleveland, Columbus & Cincinnati, there are few if any signs. College campuses same thing few if any signs. In the suburban & rural parts of the state, NONE. Personally, I think his approval rating in Ohio is about 40%. All the commercials Team Obama & MSM spin have been running in this state are just a waste of money. Voters in this state voted down Obamacare by 2 to 1 margin last November. .Why would they turn around & reelect him. As far as, the debates probably won’t matter in the end. Romney will win Ohio.

• ...to prove the point you are making about polls, I looked up the NJ Governor’s poll from 2009. The Real Clear Politics poll average had Chris Christie winning by a single point. He beat Jon Corzine by a whopping 6 points. Even Rasmussen, who is the most accurate, was off by 3 points... And if you scroll down, just a week to 10 days prior to election day some of the polls had Corzine up by 4 to 5 points.

Tell the media to kiss it. Toss a couple of bucks to America's Comeback Team.

MY GOODNESS: That Video Kerfuffle Really Took a Toll

Not. Gallup's latest polling shows that the race is deadlocked:

The Tatler adds: "Also, this is registered voters. Likely voters probably favors Romney."

IT'S OVER: The Left's Information Warfare Campaign Has Failed -- and Mitt Romney is Going to Win This Election

Are you down? Are you glum, dejected, feeling like Republicans can't catch a break? Are you sick of Mitt Romney's gaffes, hyped hysterically by obsolete media with breathless "Romney Can't Win 2012" Special Reports?

Have you been overwhelmed by criticism of the GOP from so-called conservatives? Let's consider the sources: Bill Kristol is a useless coot whose predictions are unerringly off-base. Peggy Noonan is a yenta. Rich Lowery is a sellout. And David Brooks isn't worth the three seconds I just spent typing this sentence. All of them are more worried about invitations to glitterati parties than they are in saving this Republic.

In the face of liberal agitprop campaigns, they wet their Depends and run away.

I'm not down. I feel good. Let's consider where we are in this campaign cycle.

The Professional Left has thrown everything but the kitchen sink at the Romney campaign. It prematurely ejaculated an October Surprise -- "the 47 percent" recording -- weeks too early. It's hysterically marketed other similar, trivial statements as campaign-ending for Romney.

But the campaign isn't over and those weren't gaffes.

Though you wouldn't know it from Sixties media, the three biggest verbal gaffes this month all were uttered by Barack Obama:

3. On Univision, Obama admitted that he "can't change Washington from the inside."

2. On the David Letterman show, Obama claimed he didn't know the amount of the national debt, a terrifyingly large burden on the young and future generations

1. On the issue of the 9/11 terror attacks in Libya, Obama and his administration have been caught in a series of lies and cover-ups.

The debates are coming. You got a "47" gaffe? I'll top you with a "57" (remember how candidate Obama said he hoped to visit all 57 states?).

Obama without TOTUS is like Joe Biden without the hair-plugs. Romney has been tempered through the fires of a dozen, hard-core, debate melees.

And Obama has had precisely zero debates and, for that matter, hasn't even entertained a serious interview in years. Without practice -- and with his increasingly questionable work ethic -- I have a prediction to make:

Obama is going to stumble in these debates. He will stumble badly. And he will reveal himself.

Furthermore, when you come right down to it, he's an easy mark. He has a record he must try to defend. And that record is downright ugly. He can blame Bush, Tsunamis, ATMs and the Euro for all of his failures, but if he tries, he'll sound even more like an unpresidential loser than usual.

The combination of being confronted with his failures -- one after the other, with no real way to spin or lie without blatantly appearing as a charlatan -- along with his documented case of Aggressive Narcissism results in my Lock o' the Week prognostication:

Obama will seriously stumble in these debates. It will be cringe-worthy.

Oh, and then there are the polls. The polls that seem to magnify each "gaffe" a thousand-fold to stifle Republican optimism. Well, polling expert John McClaughlin offers the straight scoop as to what we're seeing there:

On what a realistic partisan breakdown would look like: “The 2004 national exit polls showed an even partisan turnout and Bush won 51–48. Had it been the +4 Democratic edge of 2000, John Kerry would have been president. 2008 was a Democratic wave that gave them a +7 partisan advantage. 2010 was a Republican edge. There’s no wave right now. There are about a dozen swing states where in total millions of voters who voted in 2008 for Obama are gone or have not voted since...

...There are also hundreds of thousands of voters in each of several swing states like Ohio, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, Colorado, and others who voted from rural, exurban or suburban areas in 2004 for Bush who did not vote in 2008, because they were not excited by McCain or thought he would lose. They are currently planning to vote mainly as a vote against President Obama.”

What Obama and his allies are doing now: “The Democrats want to convince [these anti-Obama voters] falsely that Romney will lose to discourage them from voting. So they lobby the pollsters to weight their surveys to emulate the 2008 Democrat-heavy models. They are lobbying them now to affect early voting. IVR [Interactive Voice Response] polls are heavily weighted. You can weight to whatever result you want. Some polls have included sizable segments of voters who say they are ‘not enthusiastic’ to vote or non-voters to dilute Republicans. Major pollsters have samples with Republican affiliation in the 20 to 30 percent range, at such low levels not seen since the 1960s in states like Virginia, Florida, North Carolina and which then place Obama ahead. The intended effect is to suppress Republican turnout through media polling bias. We’ll see a lot more of this. Then there’s the debate between calling off a random-digit dial of phone exchanges vs. a known sample of actual registered voters. Most polls favoring Obama are random and not off the actual voter list. That’s too expensive” for some pollsters.

That's not all. I think we'll see a couple of related, interesting anomalies in this election:

• The impact of a phenomenal drop in households with landlines, which badly skews polling
• The return of the Bradley Effect
• The return of the Reagan Democrats, in this case, union members who realize their jobs are at stake, but tell the pollsters they're voting with the bosses and actually pull the lever for the GOP
• A much larger percentage drop in the Black vote for Obama than anyone's anticipating (see Why Romney Is Going to Romp over Obama in November)

As much as old media tries to tell us that Obama is a sure thing, he's actually anything but.

Which is why, for example, he's in... Wisconsin this week.

Mitt Romney is going to win this election. Write it down. Take it to the bank.

But before you do, send 'em a couple of bucks. We have a country to repair.
