A Magnificent Photo Gallery of Our President's Exceptionally Busy Schedule This Week
Yes, it’s "Talk Like a Pirate Day" which the Preezy of the United Steezy noticed more than the fact that we’re under attack in 20 countries around the world. Oh, and our four Americans in Libya are still dead.
This followed an appearance on The Letterman Show:
And a lavish, $40,000-a-head fundraiser with Jay-Z and Beyonce that featured a $105,000 champagne tower.
...President Barack Obama attended a fundraiser at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club in Manhattan that featured a champagne tower of 350 bottles worth $105,000 - more than twice the median household income of an American family... The tower of $300-a-bottle Armand de Brignac Brut Gold, known as 'Ace of Spades' because of its label, is a permanent fixture at the club.
'It’s floor-to-ceiling gold bottles in the entire space,' a 40/40 representative told the New York Post. 'It’s beautiful—breathtaking. It’s the first thing you see when you walk in.'
...He then compared himself to Jay-Z. 'Jay-Z now knows what my life is like. We both have daughters, and our wives are more popular than we are. So we’ve got a little bond there. It’s hard, but it’s okay.'
Jay-Z is quite the role-model for America's youth, what with his romantic classics "F*** All Nite", N****, I'll throw a Molotov cocktail through your momma's momma's house", South Philly motherf***ers kill at will" and I put the gun to ya, I let it sing you a song"
Oh, and who could forget "Is That Yo Bitch?"
Yes, that's precisely who kids should be seeing the president with. A true American hero.
Meanwhile, as America's embassies suffered 20 attacks and protests throughout the Middle East, the president has extended an invitation to meet Egypt's President Mohammed Morsi -- leader of the Muslim Brotherhood -- in New York.
The Brotherhood's credo was and is, "Allah is our objective; the Quran is our law, the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations." Its most famous slogan, used worldwide, is "Islam is the solution."
The Muslim Brotherhood was closely intertwined with the Third Reich during World War II and many of its goals remain aligned: namely, slaughter Jews, Christians and other infidels wherever and whenever possible. Egypt's Jews were run out of the country decades ago and the Coptic Christians are fleeing the Brotherhood's Islamists now.
But in the midst of his busy schedule, President Obama explicitly refused a meeting with Israel's Prime Minister -- who also requested to meet in New York -- as Iran nears completion of its nukes.
For Obama, a pirate, Letterman, Jay-Z, Beyonce, and other fundraisers all receive much higher priority than daily intelligence briefings and the security needs of the nation and our allies.
Because Iran's nuclear weapons are certain to be handed off to its terrorist partners like Hezbollah and smuggled into the United States through the southern border Barack Obama has failed to seal.
I admit it: the videotape probably ended his campaign
Let's allow The New York Times to relay the March 2012 incident. An open microphone happened to catch a private conversation between President Obama and Russian President Medvdev regarding America's missile defense shield.
“On all these [security] issues, but particularly missile defense, this can be solved, but it’s important for him to give me space,” Mr. Obama could be heard saying to Mr. Medvedev, according a reporter from ABC News, who was traveling with the president.
“Yeah, I understand,” Mr. Medvedev, the outgoing Russian president, said. “I understand your message about space. Space for you …”
Mr. Obama then elaborated, in a portion of the exchange picked up by the cameras and reproduced by news agencies: “This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility."
“I understand,” Mr. Medvedev said. “I will transmit this information to Vladimir,” he continued, referring to Vladimir V. Putin, who won another term as president in an election this month.
The most transparent administration ever is, as Jim Geraghty observed, sending "[o]ne message to the voters at home, an entirely different message to leaders abroad."
To recap: a resurgent Russian empire -- ruled by a nascent dictator -- has been America's foremost enemy since 1945. And we have a president, who is already hollowing out America's defenses, secretly negotiating with those dictators behind America's back.
That, my friends, is the most shocking video of this election season.
November is coming.

COVER-UP: Hillary Scrubs State Department Memo Downplaying Threat of 9/11 Anniversary Attacks
Wednesday night, one day after the 9/11 anniversary protests/attacks in Cairo, Egypt and Benghazi, Libya, I wrote about a September 6, 2012 memo issued by the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), part of the Bureau of Diplomatic Security under the U.S. Department of State...
...in retrospect the memo is an embarrassing reminder of how the United States and its overseas embassies were caught flat-footed on Tuesday. The phrasing of the last sentence of the memo ("these concerns are the result of increased media attention to the issue, rather than credible evidence" [emphasis mine]) could have even inspired complacency with its rather glib assessment of the potential threat.
There is now evidence that someone at the State Department drew the same conclusion about the memo, because as of today, it is no longer listed on the OSAC website.
Since then, of course, the Libyan government and other sources have indicated that the State Department was indeed warned of the possibility of 9/11 anniversary attacks.
It is plainly obvious that we have not been getting straight answers from Obama officials about what they knew and when they knew it about the dangers facing our consulate in Benghazi and throughout the region. It may be deception, or they may be so incompetent they still don’t know.
There is credible information that there were warnings of trouble to come, and 9/11 itself should have put a consulate in a dangerous section of Libya on high alert with substantial protection afforded the Ambassador. The story told by Susan Rice and Jay Carney the attack was spontaneous is becoming laughable.
There also is evidence emerging that the Ambassador was left with minimal protection... In essence, the Obama Administration tasked an unarmed British firm with security responsibilities that should have been handled by armed American servicemen, and it was all approved by the Secretary of State. Needless to say, the plan failed and an Ambassador was murdered, along with several others.
The cover-up is underway. It will be up to new media to continue to unpeel the layers of this story, since antique media is asleep at the wheel.

In case you missed it somehow, I’m riffing on the Newsweek “Muslim Rage” cover, which annoyed some and amused some and disgusted others. Yes, that is speck of spittle in his beard. No, I did not P’shop it in...

SCANDAL: White House Revealed Names of SEAL and CIA Operators to Hollywood Filmmakers
Last July, a top Pentagon official gave two Hollywood filmmakers the name of a Navy SEAL involved in training the squad of commandos who carried out the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. Now, the Obama administration is fighting to keep that same name from the public.
In legal papers filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Washington, the Justice Department argued that the government is under no obligation to make public the SEAL's name or the names of Central Intelligence Agency personnel involved simply because officials shared their names, partial names or identities with the makers of a forthcoming movie about the raid, "Zero Dark Thirty."
"The CIA and DoD did not authorize the filmmakers to make the names they shared with them public, to publicly associate the individuals with the CIA or DoD, or to expose those individuals’ identity in any publicly released film, and there was no reason for the CIA or DoD to have believed that any of this would have happened," the Justice Department brief says. "In fact, [Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence Mike] Vickers specifically told [filmmaker] Mark Boal, in providing him with the name of someone he could talk to, that 'the only thing we ask is that you not reveal his name in any way as a consultant.'"
BlackFive's reaction is one of anger:
What's Team Obama going to about this one? Find some amateur donor to make a movie to distract us from the real issue? Oh wait...
Raise your hand if you want to be a part of any TS missions that will save lives and defend our country...but in the process your identity will be given to Hollywood?
Suffice it to say that the nitwits in old media will ignore this outrageous scandal, just one in a series of willful, immensely damaging national security leaks by the Obama administration, all designed to mask the president's disastrous foreign policy record.

10 Arab Spring™ Stories You Won't Be Reading in Vintage Media
9. While the Middle East erupted, President Obama watched a whole lot of football this weekend: According to White House press reporter Amy Gardner, the President watched "a [whole] lot of football".
8. And he pretends he's going to work on Saturdays and instead watches 'Homeland': "While Michelle and the two girls go play tennis on Saturday afternoons, I go in the Oval Office, pretend I’m going to work, and then I switch on ‘Homeland.’"
Between the football, the Homeland, the golf, Letterman, Jay-Z, Beyonce and other fundraisers, it's a wonder he has any time for intelligence or economic briefings. Oh, you say he doesn't have time for those? Gotcha.
7. Oops. Former DNC Head Crazy Howard Dean Admits Obama at Fault for Rupturing Alliance With Israel: In an interview, Howard Dean accidentally blurted out the truth:
Because it’s incredibly foolish for one of our critical allies to make that relationship worse. My guess is the personal relationship between Netanyahu and President Obama is not all that good. I think most of that has to do with President Obama. If you look back at our relationship with Israel, which is historically incredibly strong and remains strong, this is really a personality problem.
After the usual cattle-prod and taser treatment, Cory Booker-style, Dean appeared in a hostage video walking back his statement.
6. Mitt Romney is not getting the intelligence briefings his predecessors received.
Given the gravity of issues facing a prospective commander-in-chief, it has become customary for each party's nominee to receive regular intelligence updates during the run-up to the fall election. In 2008, then-Senator Barack Obama received his first briefing just five days after accepting the Democratic nomination.
So why hasn't Mitt Romney received the same courtesy? According to a spokesman for the Director of National Intelligence, it's a matter of "logistics."
5. The Obama administration has refused to rule out Sharia Blasphemy Laws. It's that pesky First Amendment again! Thomas Perez, Obama's assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, refused to say on the record that the DOJ won’t try to criminalize blasphemy in the future.
4. In Pakistan, "Gunmen" opened fire on a bus full of nuns: A gunman opened fire on a van in Hyderabad that was carrying nuns and other women, wounding the driver. Also in Hyperabad, an unknown gunmen opened fire on the St. Xavier church also in Hyderabad, killing one. I, for one, suspect Militant Quakers are behind these attacks.
3. Netanyahu On US Embassy Attacks: ‘You Want These Fanatics To Have Nuclear Weapons?’. It's a simple question. And one that no one on the Democrat side of the aisle seems to want to answer.
2. As for turning around the perception of the United States by "the Arab Street"...? Yes, that too is an epic fail... it's now lower than that of the evil Booooooosh.
Arab approval of the United States in the Middle East has plummeted so drastically that it now is lower than it was during the presidency of George W. Bush, according to a startling new survey... The poll of over 4,000 citizens in six Arab nations -- Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates -- shows the favorability rating of the United States dropping precipitously
1. Unbelievably, the Obama administration states it's "very proud" of its foreign policy record. Perhaps World War III would mark a bigger success.
We are happy to debate — and there is certainly ample time and appropriate time to debate foreign policy approaches, this president’s record on foreign policy,” [White House spokesman Jay] Carney told reporters during the press briefing when asked if the attacks stemmed from “perceived American weakness” that stems from Obama’s leadership. “We’re very proud of the president’s record on foreign policy and are happy to make the case at the appropriate time.”
Just wondering:how many Nobel Prize Winners have touched off a World War?
Talk amongst yourselves.

OUTRAGE: But Hillary said they were taking him to the hospital: New Video Shows Crowd Cheering as Amb. Stevens is Dragged Through Streets
YouTube user "Abdalgadar Fadi" has uploaded a video on the arabic language version of the video sharing site purporting to show US Ambassador Christopher Stevens dragged from the consulate in Benghazi.
The translation of the text below the video reads: "Moment directed the U.S. ambassador before his death" and the headline translates to: “U.S. Ambassador and the people of Benghazi rescue attempt before his death.”
The victim in the video appears to be wearing the same pants, belt and t-shirt seen in this photo of Amb. Stevens.
The validity of the video and the accuracy of the description of the events it depicts are still under investigation, but through Twitter and Facebook the video has already taken a life of its own.
Developing... (John Sexton and Morgen Richmond contributed to this report)
Which represents another in a series of lies promulgated by this administration: "Hillary Clinton said Libyans tried to save Ambassador Steven’s life and brought him to a hospital."
The Independent said the Obama administration had 48 hours notice that the embassies in Cairo and Benghazi were targets but they did nothing to warn them or put them in lockdown. The attack might have been an inside job. [Update: 9/14: Jay Carney denied today that the U.S. had any knowledge of the upcoming attacks]
Documents revealing the names of Libyans working with the U.S. government were lost as well as information on oil contracts... One witness said that there were at least 400 of these violent protesters and nothing would have stopped them. Our State Department said there were 20.
Hillary Clinton said Libyans tried to save Ambassador Steven’s life and brought him to a hospital. There are conflicting reports about whether he was tortured or brought to the hospital to be rescued... Other reports say that Stevens went missing first and his corpse was later taken to the hospital with his body being returned at an airport 12 hours later.
...Information now leaking out points to the attacks being planned for the 9/11 anniversary... There were no U.S. military personnel at the Benghazi Embassy even though it had been attacked before.
But according to dinosaur media, it was Mitt Romney that had a really bad week.
Just to recap: this week, we discovered the president missed all of his intelligence briefings leading up to 9/11. He ignored multiple warnings of attacks on U.S. interests. The Ambassador to Libya and several other State Department personnel were subsequently murdered by Islamist terrorists and dragged through the streets. Dozens of U.S. embassies and consulates around the globe were targeted for attacks and protests, which are ongoing even today.
Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke announced more money-printing in the form of additional quantitative easing, after two bursts failed to spur an economy descending into an outright depression. The labor-force participation rate hit a 31-year low. And the U.S. just registered its fourth consecutive trillion-dollar deficit.
But it was Mitt Romney that had a bad week.
The good news: left-wing print media is bleeding out as we speak.
Administration Beclowns Itself Once Again: Amb. Susan Rice Picks a Fight With Libya's Government Over the Fatal Attack in Benghazi
BOB SCHIEFFER: Was this a long-planned attack, as far as you know? Or what-- what do you know about that?
MOHAMED YOUSEF EL-MAGARIAF: The way these perpetrators acted and moved, I think we-- and they're choosing the specific date for this so-called demonstration, I think we have no-- this leaves us with no doubt that this has preplanned, determined-- predetermined.
BOB SCHIEFFER: And you believe that this was the work of al Qaeda and you believe that it was led by foreigners. Is that-- is that what you are telling us?
MOHAMED YOUSEF EL-MAGARIAF: It was planned-- definitely, it was planned by foreigners, by people who-- who entered the country a few months ago, and they were planning this criminal act since their-- since their arrival.
On ABC's This Week, however, Ambassador Susan Rice directly contradicted Libyan officials and said the attack was not premeditated:
U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice said the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi last week was not premeditated, directly contradicting top Libyan officials who say the attack was planned in advance.
“Our current best assessment, based on the information that we have at present, is that, in fact, what this began as, it was a spontaneous – not a premeditated – response to what had transpired in Cairo,” Rice told me this morning on “This Week.”
...Ambassador Christopher Stevens, along with three other Americans, were killed in Libya following the assault on the American consulate in Benghazi, on the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. Rice said the FBI is examining the attack, saying their investigation “will tell us with certainty what transpired.”
Rice’s account directly contradicts that of Libyan President Mohamed Yousef El-Magariaf, who said this weekend that he had “no doubt” the attack was pre-planned by individuals from outside Libya.
Now let's back up a couple of steps. Clear your head. Take a deep breath. And ask yourself:
What would be more likely to prompt a deadly attack on a U.S. Embassy? Incessant grandstanding by Obama about killing Bin Laden and relentless drone attacks that indiscriminately kill -- or a sad-sack YouTube video that no one watched?
Everyone knows that Rice is covering for the president's feckless foreign policy (or lack thereof) and his obvious dereliction of duty (namely, his refusal to regularly attend his daily intelligence briefings).
Call it by its true name: bleeding from behind.

Barack Obama Channels Jimmy Carter (Again)
"There's a broader lesson to be learned here. Gov. Romney seems to have a tendency to shoot first and aim later," Obama said in an interview with CBS News's Steve Kroft that was scheduled before four Americans were killed Tuesday at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
"As president, one of the things I've learned is you can't do that," Obama added. "It's important for you to make sure that the statements that you make are backed up by the facts and that you've thought through the ramifications before you make them."
Jimmy Carter, August 15, 1980:
In their fantasy world, all the complex global changes of the world since World War II have never happened. In their fantasy America, all problems have simple solutions -- simple and wrong.
It's a make-believe world, a world of good guys and bad guys where some politicians shoot first and ask questions later.
"Shoot first and aim later"?
You mean like blurting out the fact that Egypt's no longer an ally?
Criticism of the president's foreign policy by the opposition party never appeared to be much of an issue for vintage media when George W. Bush was in office.
Harry Reid's despicable declaration that "this war is lost" comes to mind. Or the Democrats' slanderous rhetoric about U.S. troops in Iraq.

Ruh Roh: Producer of Anti-Islam Film Was a Fed Informer
...Clinton’s attempt to distance the U.S. from “Innocence of Muslims”--and, by extension, its felonious producer--may be complicated by the revelation that Nakoula Basseley Nakoula became a government informant after his 2009 arrest for bank fraud, The Smoking Gun has learned.
Though many key documents from the U.S. District Court case remain sealed, a June 2010 sentencing transcript provides an account of Nakoula’s cooperation with federal investigators in Los Angeles (and how his prison sentence was reduced as a result).
Nakoula, 55, was arrested in June 2009 for his role in a check-kiting ring that stole nearly $800,000 from six financial institutions by using stolen Social Security numbers and identities. Nakoula was named in a six-count felony indictment accusing him and unnamed “co-schemers” of perpetrating the bank fraud.
Denied bail, Nakoula, a married father of three, was locked up at the Metropolitan Detention Center in L.A. when he began cooperating with Justice Department lawyers and federal agents. During a series of debriefing sessions, Nakoula provided investigators with a detailed account of the fraud operation and fingered the man who allegedly headed the operation, according to comments made by his lawyer at sentencing...
Shhh. No one tell Jay-Z, Beyonce, or the roughly 56 million Islamists currently protesting the U.S. Government.

It really doesn’t get any more pathetic than this...
...Always the stickler for detail, he even makes sure to get that little accent thingy over the second ‘e’.
If only we happened to have a president more interested in American interests than partying and fundraisers.
If you're sick of this s***, please consider donating a few bucks to Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. These Jimmy Carter-Barack Obama Democrats need to be flushed from office, the sooner the better.
Crazy Obama-Middle East conspiracy theory? Or is it so sane that you just blew your mind?
...in January 2011, before even a dozen demonstrators were killed, a small herd of camel-riding Mubarakists rode into Tahrir Square trampling some protesters underfoot, and Obama immediately flew into an apoplectic rage, gliding close to personally claiming that Mubarak was a war criminal for attacking peaceful "democratic" demonstrators...
...But in February 2012, after Assad has murdered over 10,000 Sunni mostly totally unarmed civilians by lobbing barrages of multiple rounds of artillery into Homs, why is Obama all but numbingly silent in-between his own barrages of multiple rounds of 18-hole golf?
The reason: the US President Obama has artfully and silently pivoted US Middle East Policy from a Pro-Saudi, Anti-Iran paradigm to a Pro-Iran, Anti-Saudi imperative.
Crazy you say? The Dubai Police Chief Dahi Khalfan Tamim, attending at a recent Gulf security conference with US diplomats, “undiplomatically” for over 18 minutes calmly stated...:
1) “US Policy is the Number One threat” to the Gulf States;
2) America “has realized the dreams of Iran in Iraq;”
3) the US has “adopted the path and ideology of Khomeini;” and
4) the US “is no longer an ally” of the Gulf States.
To frame the instant question with a sharper point: Why did President Obama, in his 2009 Cairo Speech, pro-actively incite and reflexively, over Saudi Arabia’s infinite anger, support the overthrow of President Hosni Mubarak, who was the US’ stalwart Sunni American ally for over 30 years and who acted as the sole-substantial Sunni Arab counterweight to Iran?
...How come the Nobel Prize-winning Obama unflinchingly allows Assad, a Shiite/Alawite, confirmed state-sponsor of terror, funneler of IEDs in Iraq which murdered thousands of US soldiers, and a stalwart ally of Shiite Iran, to cold-bloodedly massacre what is now over ten thousand unarmed Sunni Muslims?
...And why did President Obama anoint the Shiite Al Maliki, a known-Iranian stooge, as the omnipotent new-Shiite Saddam of Iraq, sideline the Iraqi Sunnis, and compound the decidedly pro-Shiite tilt by tacitly handing the keys of Iraq over to Iran...?
Why does Obama constantly refer to the ragtag, disjointed, barely-existing Sunni al Qaeda as the "greatest threat to the US" when the Shiite Iran and its Hizbullah and Iraqi based proxies have killed many times more US soldiers and US civilians in the past 20 years than al Qaeda has, - and Iran is nearing the acquisition of nuclear bomb and constantly claiming Israel is a "cancerous tumor" that needs to be "cut out" of the Middle East?
...The answer can be found in Obama’ first documented foreign "policy" speech in 2002 dubbed the "Iraq War Speech" where Obama unambiguously declared:
“You want a fight, President Bush? Let’s fight to make sure our so-called allies in the Middle East, the Saudis and the Egyptians, stop oppressing their own people, and suppressing dissent, and tolerating corruption and inequality. . . .” - Barack Obama, Oct. 2, 2002
From Obama’s very first recorded words on US foreign policy, Saudi Arabia, and not Iran, was to Obama, America’s Number one enemy.
President Obama’s inimical abhorrence of the House of Saud was further codified in US President Obama’s May 19, 2011 major Foreign Policy speech where he repeatedly explicitly attacked Bahrain, Saudi’s key ally, as well as again clearly targeting the “elite” Saud Family when he stated:
Prosperity also requires tearing down walls that stand in the way of progress -– the corruption of elites who steal from their people; the red tape that stops an idea from becoming a business; the patronage that distributes wealth based on tribe or sect. –- New York Times, 5/19/11 “Obama’s Mideast Speech”
Obama, from his 2002 speech on a Chicago street to his 2011 speech at the State Department, sees the House of Saud as the very personification of Obama’s “elites who steal from their people,” and of “the patronage that distributes wealth based on tribe or sect.”
But Obama’s one act which symbolically crystallizes the essence of what has been, is, and will be the Obama Doctrine is Obama’s very first act as US President. ...he formally and publically returned the bust of Winston Churchill to Great Britain that had long adorned the Bush Oval Office.
Obama viscerally rejected Churchill’s White House presence because it was Winston Churchill and his “Lawrence of Arabia” generation of British foreign establishment that, in effect, had “divided and conquered” the Muslim Ummah, and empowered the balkanized Sunni “elite” kingdoms at the expense of the Shi’ites and the Ottoman Empire. While empowering the local Sunni Kingdoms, Churchill disempowered a possible unified Muslim Caliphate, and the Shi’ites.
...With the Obama Doctrine, Obama’s entire foreign policy makes sense: It explains why Obama toppled Egypt, Saudi Arabia’s key Sunni ally. In a heartbeat, Obama rendered Egypt permanently paralyzed to assist the Saudis against Iran...
...In accordance with this doctrine, Obama obliterated the Sunni Qaddafi with hundreds of million dollar Tomahawk missiles, deleting the precious cache of Tomahawks (for possible use against Iran) where there was a truly heavily armed Libyan opposition who could fight for themselves and instead left an absolute Islamist maelstrom wrapped in chaos enveloped in bedlam and mayhem. As a result, Obama has mutely watched well over ten thousand Syrian Sunnis be massacred by Iran’s Shi’ite handmaiden, Assad, and hasn’t even shipped in one 5 kilometer range anti-tank weapon that would easily spay Assad’s rampaging tanks and artillery.
...And as a final policy puzzle piece, Obama’s noisy objection to an Israeli attack on Iran is, in reality, a deafeningly silent total rejection of Saudi Arabia’s push for America to militarily attack Iran. The Saudis know Iran is infinitely more of a threat to Saudi Arabia than to Israel.
Obama has publically amped up the five-alarm fire-fight with Israel to make the Iran issue appear to be an “Israel only” issue, thereby preemptively embarrassing the Saudis out of even asking for the US to strike... So for Obama it’s a win-win-win, actively attack Israel, blame Israel for destabilizing the Middle East, attack Israel’s American supporters as dual loyalists, and passively pre-reject the Saudis request for an attack on Iran’s facilities before the Saudis even ask for one.
What all this means is Obama has quietly turned 50 years of US Foreign policy on its head without even a single congressional hearing... Obama’s true foreign policy objective seems to be nothing less than the full nuclear weaponization of Iran. Anything else is a smoke-screen for Obama to look like he’s doing something, but in reality he is doing nothing to stop Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons.
In conclusion, Obama is actively "democratically" toppling all U.S. Middle East allies, and soon a nuclear-armed Iran will control 70% of the World's Oil Reserves, charging $500 a barrel for oil.
...And in the short-term, Obama and the world will watch Assad commit a holocaust against the unarmed Syrian Sunnis, and, of course, Obama’s golf game will see some improvement.
Just after Obama was elected in 2008, Time Magazine published an article entitled "Baghdad Scuttlebutt: Pssst! Obama's a Shi'ite".
For what it's worth.

Vexing problem for laughingstock media: how to blame Mitt Romney for Barack Obama's "Egypt no longer an ally" gaffe
NBC's chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel ripped the president for his outrageous and unexpected remarks.
Barack Obama’s assertion that he doesn’t consider Egypt an ally stunned NBC’s chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel. Engel, reporting from Cairo, tells Chuck Todd that he needed to “sit down” after hearing that statement. Engel reminds Todd that the US had two major Arab allies in the region when Obama took office, on which it spent a significant amount of foreign aid to keep it that way — Egypt and Saudi Arabia. If we’ve lost Egypt as an ally, Engel asks, wasn’t supporting the effort to overthrow Hosni Mubarak a huge mistake?
After accusing Mitt Romney of "shooting first, aiming later" -- in the very same interview -- the White House immediately attempted to walk back the president's diplomatic gaffe.
President Barack Obama didn't intend to signal any change in the U.S.-Egypt relationship last night when he said Egypt is not an "ally," the White House told The Cable today.
In an interview with Telemundo Wednesday night, Obama said that the U.S. relationship with the new Egyptian government was a "work in progress," and emphasized that the United States is counting on the government of Egypt to better protect the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, which was attacked by protesters on Sept. 11.
"I don't think that we would consider them an ally, but we don't consider them an enemy," Obama said. "They're a new government that is trying to find its way. They were democratically elected. I think that we are going to have to see how they respond to this incident."
That comment had Egypt watchers scratching their heads, especially since technically, Egypt was designated as a Major Non-NATO Ally in 1989 when Congress first passed the law creating that status, which gives them special privileges in cooperating with the United States, especially in the security and technology arenas.
White House spokesman Tommy Vietor told The Cable Thursday that the administration is not signaling a change in that status.
Talking about shooting first and acting later: remember "The Cambridge Police acted stupidly" statement?
Talk amongst yourself.
President Obama does Vegas
While the country mourns and the Middle East devolves into chaos, the media conspires to attack Mitt Romney for defending America.
Meanwhile, Barack Obama does Vegas.
Great Moments in American Foreign Policy [Dan from NY]
Ta da! The President of the USA admits he can’t make heads or tails of those pesky Egyptians:
Egypt not an ally, but also not an enemy, Obama says in wake of protests
President says Egyptian government trying to ‘find its way,’ warns of ‘real big problem’ if Cairo engages in irresponsible behavior
###
Meanwhile, Hillary is starting a new career as a film critic. Pauline Kael, where are you when we need you?
Clinton calls anti-Islam video 'disgusting'
###
It’s the movie, stupid. After less than four years in office the Obama regime has already accomplished so much. Now imagine what they’ll achieve if we give them four more.
Actually, as John Nolte tweeted earlier, the most stunning statement in this whole foreign policy debacle is Obama's admission that his policies have lost an ally in Egypt. They are no longer an ally.
I shudder to think what four more years of this fecklass madness will bring us.

• Even after Benghazi Consulate attacked in June, no additional security was added: despite an IED detonating at the Benghazi facility, the administration failed to tighten security, leaving it instead up to their Libyan hosts. Reports indicate that these same Libyan security personnel were involved with the attack that left the Ambassador and other U.S. personnel dead.
• The President has refused a meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister, but will find time to appear on the David Letterman Show. In addition, Obama invited the President of Egypt (leader of the Muslim Brotherhood) to meet next week at the U.N. while repudiating Israel's leader's request to meet that same week.
Just a little career advice for Ms. Crawford and Mr. Shapiro: if you want to resurrect your careers (which now, officially, languish in laughingstock territory), perhaps a little focus on America's national security interests -- which is what this story is really about -- rather than Mitt Romney's political persuasion might help.

The 10 Most Important Stories of the Embassy Attacks...
Sure, why would anyone think there might be some violence on 9/11?" ...Additionally, the US was warned that extremists might attempt to burn down the embassy. On Monday.
2. Obama skipped the PDBs even though intelligence sources report that the attacks were planned and coordinated.
Sources are telling CNN that the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya which killed Ambassador Chris Stevens was planned by attackers who used the protest outside the consulate as a diversion.
3. The first response to the coordinated attacks in Libya and Egypt by the Obama administration was... to apologize to the Islamists:
The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims — as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions...
Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.
4. . Shocked by the administration's statement, the Romney campaign blasted the apology.
The GOP nominee offered no regret for criticizing the president in the midst of an unfolding international crisis. "It's never too early to condemn attacks on Americans and to defend our values," Romney said... Romney condemned the violent protests and expressed condolences to the families of those slain in Libya, including the U.S. ambassador there. He said that instead of speaking out forcefully against the initial Egyptian breach, the U.S. Embassy in Cairo had seemed to sympathize with the attacks by issuing a statement that he called "akin to an apology."
5 . Liberal blogs -- and their primary consumers in vintage media -- needed a way to deflect criticism from President O'Carter. Their meme: Mitt Romney shouldn't criticize an apology... that the Obama administration itself later disavowed.
At 11:53pm last night Talking Points Memo released a statement from the Obama campaign condemning Mitt Romney for criticizing something the White House itself disavowed -- an appalling apology issued by the State Department.Eight hours later, President Obama finally got around to condemning the monsters who attacked us on our own soil and killed our fellow citizens.
Yesterday, on the 11th anniversary of September 11, the Obama White House snubbed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accepted an invitation from David Letterman, and apologized to Islamists upset over a film that mocks Islam and Mohammed -- something "artists" in America do to Christianity with my tax dollars on a fairly regular basis.
6. An open microphone, in fact, revealed that vintage media coordinating a gang attack on Mitt Romney:
Before Romney issued his statement today, an open mic capture the press coordinating questions to ask Romney, with one saying “no matter who he calls on we’re covered on the one question”.
7. In fact, the Obama administration condemned Mitt Romney's criticism before it bothered to condemn the Islamist attackers.
8. Why in hell wasn't the Libyan Embassy protected by U.S. Marines?
A Marine Corps official who would not speak for the record told Danger Room that the Corps did not and currently does not have assets in Benghazi.
9. As the U.S. embassy burns and our ambassador's body is dragged through streets, we discover that -- just as Obama skipped a week of daily intel briefings leading up to 9/11 -- he is now heading to Vegas for a fundraiser with Jay-Z and Beyonce:
10. And the President found time to do the Letterman show and celebrity fundraisers, but could find no time to meet with the Israeli Prime Minister as the Middle East burns and Iran readies its nuclear-tipped missiles.
This president needs to be pink-slipped. He's Jimmy Carter squared.
