Top eight signs you might be a member of the Taliban

Papa B offers the following counsel.

8. You refine heroin for a living; but you have a moral objection to beer.
7. You own a $500 machine gun and a $5,000 rocket launcher; but can't afford decent shoes.
6. You have more wives than teeth.
5. You think vests come in two styles: bullet-proof and suicide.
4. You can't think of anyone you haven't declared Jihad against.
3. You consider television dangerous; but routinely carry ammunition in your robe.
2. You've never been asked, 'Does this burka make my ass look big?'
1. A common compliment is, 'I love what you've done with your cave.'

The origins of CAIR

Charles Johnson:

Steven Emerson’s Investigative Project on Terrorism is releasing a major new study on the terrorist roots and true agenda of the Council on American Islamic Relations: CAIR Exposed: Part 1: As IAP Offshoot, CAIR Followed Pro-Hamas Agenda From the Start.

A PDF document accompanies the IPT article, with much more detail on CAIR’s Origins.

This is devastating stuff.

I like Obama's new ad campaign!

These new ads are pretty good.

They've totally convinced me to vote for him. Totally.

Obama's church newsletter: Israel's ethnic-cleansing bomb

In June 2007, Obama's "church" published a completely insane letter-to-the-editor accusing Israel of creating an ethnic-cleansing bomb (via Sweeetness & Light)

I must tell you that Israel was the closest ally to the White Supremacists of South Africa. In fact, South Africa allowed Israel to test its nuclear weapons in the ocean off South Africa. The Israelis were given a blank check: they could test whenever they desired and did not even have to ask permission. Both worked on an ethnic bomb that kills Blacks and Arabs.

Arabs have always supported the dismantling of this racist government. In 1962, African-Arab Sudan granted Mandela a passport to travel with to gain international support in his struggle to free his people. Libya, among other Arab states, provided Mandela and other African liberation movements, political as well as material support. As a result, Libya was designated by the White House as a terrorist rogue state...

The letter, authored by one Ali Baghdadi, is so completely embedded with falsehoods that the only words that aren't lies are "the" and "and."

Of course, Baghdadi's credentials are impeccable.

Middle East advisor to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad the founder of the Nation of Islam, as well as Minister Louis Farrakhan; visited more than 80 countries throughout the world and met with many of their leaders, including ...Castro, Saddam Hussein, Hafez Assad, Qathafi, Abdallah ibn Abdel-Aziz, Rafsanjani, Ayatollah Khamenei...

Friend to dictators and servant of terrorists.

But I'm sure that Sen. Obama never saw, heard or otherwise had exposure to this and related topics discussed at "church".

National Black Republican Assocation: Obama's Blind Spots

Frances Rice offers an excellent overview of the rifts emerging in the African-American community over Barack Obama's problematic pastor.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”   -- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

In his Philadelphia speech on race, Senator Barack Obama justified his 20-year relationship with his anti-American pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, by castigating as racist a host of people, including his own white grandmother who he later lambasted as a “typical white” racist. Conspicuously omitted from Obama’s culpability list is the architect of modern day racism — the Democratic Party.

Obama’s failure to even mention the Democratic Party’s racist past, while confessing that he lied about when he first heard Rev. Wright’s hateful rants, calls into question Obama’s character and judgment. The shocking words of Rev. Wright can be heard [on YouTube]. Without flinching, Rev. Wright damned his own country, declaring that innocent Americans deserved to be killed by Islamic terrorists on September 11, 2001...

It goes without saying: read the whole thing and visit NBRA to lend your support.

NY Times exposes Bush's war for oil zioneocons

Eagle-eyed Reliapundit caught the New York Times' not-so-subliminal message in its conventional "grim milestone" story. Interesting choice of picture.

It's the left-wing line: Bush went to war against Iraq for Israel. Even Obama advisor McPeak recently said as much.

Of course, other left-wingers say we went to war against Saddam for the House of Saud.

The spokesman for Likkud's World Domination Council did not return calls at press time.

Beat up infidel tourists, says radical cleric

The News of Australia reports:

Islamic cleric Abu Bakar Bashir has returned to his hardline rhetoric with a call for followers to beat up Western tourists and for young Muslims to die as martyrs.

In the sermon, organised by an Islamic youth organisation and delivered a few kilometres from the home village of convicted Bali bombers Amrozi and Mukhlas, Bashir likened tourists in Bali to "worms, snakes, maggots", and specifically referred to the immorality of Australian infidels.

The address was caught on video by an Australian university student.

"The youth movement here must aspire to a martyrdom death," said the cleric, who was convicted of conspiracy over the 2002 Bali bombings that killed 202 people, including 88 Australians, but was later cleared and released from prison.

Sounds like Bali has this Jihad thing under control!

Line o' the day: Dowd boils the Dem race to one sentence

Maureen Dowd (via News Buckit):

It is a tribute to Hillary Clinton that even though, rationally, political soothsayers think she can no longer win, irrationally, they wonder how she will pull it off.

ABC News has the back-story.

Update: Denny Wilson and Don Surber doubt this ad's authenticity. It's real I tell you! (*Voice cracking*) Real!

Larwyn's Link Explosion: Heart-warming climate news

Heart-warming climate facts from The Australian:

Duffy: "Is the Earth still warming?"

Marohasy: "No, actually, there has been cooling, if you take 1998 as your point of reference. If you take 2002 as your point of reference, then temperatures have plateaued. This is certainly not what you'd expect if carbon dioxide is driving temperature because carbon dioxide levels have been increasing but temperatures have actually been coming down over the last 10 years."

Duffy: "Is this a matter of any controversy?"

Marohasy: "Actually, no. The head of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) has actually acknowledged it. He talks about the apparent plateau in temperatures so far this century. So he recognises that in this century, over the past eight years, temperatures have plateaued ... This is not what you'd expect, as I said, because if carbon dioxide is driving temperature then you'd expect that, given carbon dioxide levels have been continuing to increase, temperatures should be going up ... So (it's) very unexpected, not something that's being discussed. It should be being discussed, though, because it's very significant."

Barack Obama's Public Relations consortium -- also known as Newsweek magazine, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and the rest of the mainstream media -- is brutalized by the Bulletin's Herb Denenberg.

Obama's Trinity Church says that Jeremiah Wright was "Publicly lynched and crucified." The act of broadcasting Wright's sermons, apparently, now constitutes a set of monstrous crimes.

New survey on Hamas website

Al Qassam Brigades, the "military wing" of Hamas, has put up a new survey on its website.

The survey question? "What type of resistance activities is [sic] more effective?"

There was no voting option that read "Educating our children, laying down our arms, and joining the world community to facilitate a peaceful coexistence", so I couldn't vote.

Current voting results: "assassinating Zionist leaders" is narrowly edging "martyrdom operations"; and "launching rockets" is a distant third.

By the way, I love the illustrations.

I call this one "bullets, not books."

What a record year for snowfall meant for a friend's backyard

Global warming notwithstanding, it turns out to be a record year for snowfall in many places around the world.

T sent along some before-and-after pictures of his backyard.

June 2006 (a gentle bank descends to a tiny creek, which is hidden by the foliage)

March 2008 (after the most recent 20 inches of snow melted and the resulting flood tore out a good chunk of the backyard)

T wanted to know whether he could sue the town for some out-of-control runoff. I helpfully suggested he go after Al Gore. John Edwards may be available.

Obama and terror: what every American should know

In addition to the controversial and racially divisive sermons of his decades-long "spiritual advisor", Barack Obama's closely guarded relationships with terror apologists are beginning to surface. Here are six things every American should know: let us shed light on Obama's true beliefs regarding the scourge of extremist terror.

Obama's church publishes Hamas manifesto

1: In July 2007 Obama's friend and mentor -- Rev. Jeremiah Wright -- published a Hamas manifesto in the Trinity Church newsletter.

Front and center on the "Pastor's Page" was a hateful tome written by a prominent Hamas official.

Our "militant" stance cannot by itself be the disqualifying factor... I am forever asked to concede the recognition of Israel's putative "right to exist" as a necessary precondition to discussing grievances, and to renounce positions found in the Islamic Resistance Movement's charter of 1988...

Why should any Palestinian "recognize" the monstrous crime carried out by Israel's founders and continued by its deformed modern apartheid state...?

Regarding terror apologists, Obama changed his views "to get Jewish donors and votes"

2: Debbie Schussel highlights Obama's attendance of a 1998 "Arab community event", presumably a fundraiser for the Palestinian cause.

Palestinian activist and Islamist Ali Abunimah, who was a close friend of Obama's, attended an Arab fundraiser at which the late Edward Said -- plagiarist, fabricator, and prominent PLO/Arafat advisor--was the keynote speaker, and at which the Obamas were notably in attendance.

...Pictures on Abunimah's site, posted above, show Obama and wife, Michelle, sitting next to Said and engaging in conversation. Abunimah, in a must-read article, says the Senator has since "changed" his proclaimed views from those he expressed privately, in order to get Jewish donors and votes.

"Obama's about-face is not surprising. He is [doing what] is necessary to get elected..."

3: Ali Abunimah, writing at Electronic Intifida, states that Obama is shielding his true feelings regarding Israel from the public.

...The last time I spoke to Obama was in the winter of 2004 at a gathering in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood. He was in the midst of a primary campaign to secure the Democratic nomination for the United States Senate seat he now occupies. But at that time polls showed him trailing.

As he came in from the cold and took off his coat, I went up to greet him. He responded warmly, and volunteered, "Hey, I'm sorry I haven't said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race. I'm hoping when things calm down I can be more up front." He referred to my activism, including columns I was contributing to the The Chicago Tribune critical of Israeli and US policy, "Keep up the good work!"...

...If disappointing, given his historically close relations to Palestinian-Americans, Obama's about-face is not surprising. He is merely doing what he thinks is necessary to get elected and he will continue doing it as long as it keeps him in power...

Sen. Obama has caught criticism for pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel statements and sentiments before.

In March of 2007, Sen. Obama was criticized for saying that "Nobody is suffering more than the Palestinians." Obama was also criticized for stocking his campaign with several controversial advisors including Zbigniew Brzezinski, Robert Malley, Samantha Power and Susan Rice.

Nation of Islam staffers reportedly serve key roles on Obama's Campaign

4: As first reported by Schussel, Obama campaign insiders indicate that the presidential candidate employs various members of the virulently racist "Nation of Islam" as staffers in sensitive positions.

Obama's sudden aversion to [the Nation of Islam] and Farrakhan is belied by the fact that Obama employed and continues to employ several Farrakhan acolytes in high positions on his Illinois and U.S. Senate campaign and office staffs...

Obama on Israel's security fence

5: When he first ran for the Senate, the Chicago Jewish News interviewed Obama on his stance regarding Israel's security fence.

...the creation of a wall dividing the two nations is yet another example of the neglect of this Administration in brokering peace...

As a reminder: the security fence has saved the lives of countless civilians as the number of terror attacks has dropped to almost zero. After suffering innumerable suicide bombings resulting in more than 900 dead and many thousands injured, the security fence has inarguably prevented the slaughter of civilians.

Wright recognized early on his terror apologia could cause Obama problems

6: In July 2005 Pastor Wright wrote:

The Israelis have illegally occupied Palestinian territories for almost 40 years now. It took a divestment campaign to wake the business community up concerning the South Africa issue. Divestment has now hit the table again as a strategy to wake the business community up and to wake Americans up concerning the injustice and the racism under which the Palestinians have lived because of Zionism... Divesting dollars from businesses and banks that do business with Israel is the new strategy being proposed to wake the world up concerning the racism of Zionism...

The Chicago Sun-Times quotes Pastor Wright:

When his enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Tripoli to visit Moammar Gadhafi — with [Louis] Farrakhan — a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell.”

Indeed.

Update: Regarding Trinity United and Hamas, Scott at Powerline notices a startling admission.

Perhaps most revealing is the church bulletin's own subhead over the column: "An official of the movement describes its goals for all of Palestine." You know, "all of Palestine," including Israel, whose right to exist Hamas denies and which it seeks to "liberate" for Islam.

MSM crops controversial signs in anti-war protest photos

Here is the AFP photograph of an antiwar march in Hollywood (Valerie Macon photo):

I wonder what the "Free P..." sign says?

Helpfully, AnswerLA provides the --uhmm-- answer. The full sign reads:

"Free Palestine" -- in other words, make the tiny sliver of land in the Middle East called Israel Judenfrei.

The leftist, moonbat, anti-Semitic, terror-supporting alliance is now complete.
