Obama Campaign admits he was a citizen of Kenya

A president with dual citizenship?

The Obama campaign finally admitted that the senator had a Kenyan citizenship, though they say it supposedly expired in 1982.

"Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.”

You have got to be kidding me. A former citizen of Kenya as president of the U.S.? Give me a frickin' break.

Nothing says "classy new carpets" like a 35-year old Chevrolet El Camino pulling up in front of your house...

And two men get out, flicking their still-lit cigarettes into the street...

"Zero to 60 mph in 3.4 brain-scrambling seconds"

Car and Driver benchmarks the 2009 Corvette ZR-1 and returns with stains on the seats.

How might the ZR1’s blistering performance—and $105,000 price—shake things up in the sports-car world?

How many times have you read the words “the best Vette yet” in a car magazine? Well, you’re about to read them again. It’s no secret that we’re big fans of Chevrolet’s iconic and extremely well-rounded Corvette, as evidenced by the seven straight 10Best trophies it’s earned since 2002. And while we’re loathe to recycle trite headlines, the incredible ZR1 is poised to hit the Corvette out of the ballpark, over the river, and into a whole new borough.

* Zero to 60 mph in 3.4 brain-scrambling seconds

* Zero to 100 mph in 7.6 seconds

* An 11.5-second, 128-mph quarter-mile blast

My vintage '71 Chevy Vega (in Canary Yellow) can beat that!

RED ALERT: OBAMA SIGNED UP WITH DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST PARTY IN '95!

Where's a frickin' flaming skull when ya need one?

Blogger YWL has breaking news: As recently as 1996 Senator Obama had signed a contract with the Chicago Democratic Socialist Party (also known as the DSA for Democratic Socialists of America) to promote the party's goals.

In 1995 Obama signed a contract with the DSA "promising a more open relationship with the Marxist New Party".

About 50 activists attended the Chicago New Party membership meeting in July. The purpose of the meeting was to update members on local activities and to hear appeals for NP support from four potential political candidates.

...Candidates must be approved via a NP political committee. Once approved, candidates must sign a contract with the NP. The contract mandates that they must have a visible and active relationship with the NP.

The political entourage included Alderman Michael Chandler, William Delgado, chief of staff for State Rep Miguel del Valle, and spokespersons for State Sen. Alice Palmer, Sonya Sanchez, chief of staff for State Sen. Jesse Garcia, who is running for State Rep in Garcia's District; and Barack Obama, chief of staff for State Sen. Alice Palmer. Obama is running for Palmer's vacant seat...

The mission statement of the Chicago Democratic Socialists of America?

Our mission is to establish democratic socialism as a political force in the United States and around the world by training and mobilizing socialist activists to participate in a vibrant and diverse socialist organization at both the local and the national level. DSA both educates the public about democratic socialist values and policies and builds progressive coalitions to win victories that move the U.S. and the world toward social democracy... In the long term, democratic socialists fight for a world in which all people share equally in the governing of the economic, political and cultural institutions and relationships that shape their lives.

Eh, sure. Because Communism worked out so well for the Soviets and Cubans.

The Jawa Report notes that the DSA founded the New Party:

The 'New Party' was a political party established by the Democratic Socialists of America (the DSA) to push forth the socialist principles of the DSA by focusing on winnable elections at a local level and spreading the Socialist movement upwards...

In 1996 the Socialists celebrated Obama's primary victory:

...the NP's '96 Political Program has been enormously successful with 3 of 4 endorsed candidates winning electoral primaries. All four candidates attended the NP membership meeting on April 11th to express their gratitude... Barack Obama, victor in the 13th State Senate District, encouraged NPers to join in his task forces on Voter Education and Voter Registration.

Obama is not simply an ultra-liberal. He is a Marxist. He campaigned on the Socialist ticket, signed the Socialist contract, and attended Socialist meetings.

I'll ask it again: just who in the hell is Barack Obama? And who sent him?

The forbidden SNL skit

Before it was hastily edited by SNL, Michelle Malkin was able to post the unexpurgated transcript with screenshots.

The Sandlers were two of the subprime specialists that (allegedly) helped wipe out Wachovia.

George Soros is captioned as "Owner, Democratic Party".

This stuff would be a lot funnier if weren't sadly true.

"I’m not sure what exactly I’d apologize for" -- Ayers and the 12 police officers killed by the Weatherman group and its affiliates

In 1995 Barack Obama had a coming-out party at the home of two well known local liberals: William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. While Ayers and Dohrn may be thought of in Chicaog as "activists", they’re better known throughout the country as two of the most vicious — and unrepentant — terrorists from the anti-war left.

Obama and Ayers continued their relationship as they served together on a radical board called the Woods Fund. In addition, Ayers named Obama the chairman of the $165 million Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC). They served together on that board for a half dozen years.

James Taranto, writing at Best of the Web:

Over the weekend Sarah Palin accused Barack Obama of "palling around" with terrorists--a reference to his longstanding friendship and professional association with Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, husband-and-wife Chicago college professors who are unrepentant about their activities in the Weather Underground gang.

According to an "analysis" by Douglass Daniel of the Associated Press, "[Palin's] attack was unsubstantiated."

Palin's words avoid repulsing voters with overt racism. But is there another subtext for creating the false image of a black presidential nominee "palling around" with terrorists while assuring a predominantly white audience that he doesn't see their America?

In a post-Sept. 11 America, terrorists are envisioned as dark-skinned radical Muslims, not the homegrown anarchists of Ayers' day 40 years ago. With Obama a relative unknown when he began his campaign, the Internet hummed with false e-mails about ties to radical Islam of a foreign-born candidate.

The Weatherman Organization and its affiliates killed numerous police officers. They are depicted below.

In 2006 an unapologetic Ayers himself wrote:

SGT. BRIAN McDONNELL - SFPD (Bomb)

We issued our first communiqué—a word we borrowed from Latin American guerrillas—called a “Declaration of War” and signed by “Bernardine Dohrn”, in May 1970. It was filled with defiance and hyperbole. We threatened to bomb “a major symbol of American injustice,” and when, a little more than two weeks later the promised explosion rocked the New York City Police Headquarters on Centre Street, the Weathermyth was fully launched.

SGT. ED O’GRADY - NYACK, NY PD (Shot)

...with some luck—we would participate in an upheaval that would destroy the death machine and allow human beings to reach the full measure of their humanity. Revolution!

OFC. WAVERLY BROWN - NYACK, NY PD (Shot)

We would bring the war home as we had planned, but with measured force, with precision. We would draw an angry sword against white supremacy, retaliate for racist attacks, and fight alongside our Black revolutionary comrades, but from a new and liberated space.

OFC. GREG FOSTER - NYPD (Shot)

This was a time when I, along with most of my closest friends, were referred to again and again as “home-grown American terrorists.” That’s what Time magazine called us in 1970, and the New York Times, too, and that was the word hurled in my direction from the halls of Congress. Terrorist...

OFC. WAVERLY JONES - NYPD (Shot)

I thought of myself immodestly as a freedom fighter, but I knew that “terrorist” was tattooed over every inch of me

OFC. ROCCO LAURIE - NYPD (Shot)

All these years later I tremble at [Black Panther chief Fred Hampton's] murder, as I trembled then. I trembled with rage, it’s true, and fear. I trembled with uncertainty: What could we do to survive? How could we help the remaining Panthers? How would the movement move forward?

OFC. JOE PIAGENTINI - NYPD (Shot)

The US government, though, learned some serious lessons from those times, lessons they’ve implemented ferociously ever since. It abolished the citizen army, for example...

OFC. SIDNEY THOMPSON - NYTPD (Shot)

What percentage of the world’s energy resources are consumed in the US?

OFC. JOHN G. SCARANGELLA - NYPD (Shot)

Still I’m disinclined to apologize because I hear the demand for a general apology as a howling mob with an impossibly broad demand, and on top of that I’m not sure what exactly I’d apologize for. The ’68 Convention? The Days of Rage? Bombing the Pentagon? Every one of these can be unpacked and found to be a complicated mix of good and bad choices, noble and low motives.

TROOPER WERNER FOERSTER - NJ STATE POLICE (Shot)

I still refuse to grow up if the price is to falsely confess a sin I don’t take to be a sin.

OFC. JAMES GREENE - ATLANTA PD (Shot)

I don’t regret escalating the fight against racism, white supremacy, and U.S. imperialism—still the biggest threat to a world at peace and in balance. I’m sorry we weren’t as effective as we might have been, and sorry we didn’t do more to stop the murder.

OFC. BILLY KAYLOR - ATLANTA PD (Shot)

We fight against the obstacles. U.S. war and expansion in Iraq, for example, or Israel’s insistence on its right to slowly annihilate the Palestinian people, or the caging and disenfranchisement of Black men.

SGT. JOHN YOUNG - SFPD (Shot)

Be with the despised. Unite with the outcast. Act and then doubt. And then act.

OFC. HAROLD HAMILTON - SFPD (Shot)

Toward the end of the summer of 2005, outside President Bush’s ranch in Crawford, Texas, I joined the encampment known as Camp Casey. Crawford is a town divided: the brightly decorated Peace House faces banners reading, “All the way Mr. President” and “Smoke ‘Em Out, 43”; one side of the road has lawn signs with the iconic image of Marines planting the flag on Iwo Jima and the slogan “Support Our Troops,”—somewhat desperate, I thought, to have to reach so far back for a picture of putative pride in war...

Obama's official website says Ayers' crimes weren't a big deal.

CHARGES AGAINST AYERS WERE DROPPED AND HE SERVED NO TIME

Ayers "Served No Time." "William Ayers: Surrendered and pleaded guilty in 1980 to possession of explosives and served no time. Teaches early childhood development at the University of Illinois." [Boston Globe, 9/19/93]

Even though Ayers admitted his crimes, the Government's case was thrown out due to -- yes, you guessed it -- illegal wiretaps.

Back in August Punditarian, writing at The Astute Bloggers, put it succinctly:

Prediction: the evidence will show that the electoral career of Barack Obama was launched by Bill Ayers like a missile at the heart of America because he was convinced that Obama shared his Marxist-Leninist outlook. Perhaps Obama was fooling him, as he has fooled so many others. But perhaps that is the real skeleton in the closet where hangs the empty suit.

Just who in the hell is Barack Obama? And who sent him?
Knowing that question won't be answered, Andrew C. McCarthy writes the executive summary.

In short, Bill Ayers and Barack Obama moved in the same circles, were driven by the same cause, and admired the same radicals all the way from Morningside Heights to Hyde Park. They ended up publicly admiring each other, promoting each other’s work, sitting on the same boards, and funding the same Leftist agitators.

You could conclude, as I do, that it all goes back to a formative time in his life that Obama refuses to discuss. Or you could buy the fairy tale that Bill Ayers first encountered an unknown, inexperienced, third-year associate from a small Chicago law-firm over coffee in 1995 and suddenly decided Barack Obama was the perfect fit to oversee the $150 million pot of gold Ayers hoped would underwrite his revolution.

Update: Victor Davis Hanson: ""He [Obama] said they have not spoken by phone or exchanged e-mail messages since Mr. Obama began serving in the United States Senate in January 2005" (New York Times, 10/3) ...Why in the world was Barack Obama still communicating on the phone or via email with Bill Ayers up until 2005?"

I have just one question for Barack Obama

Here's my question:

Senator Obama, when you first ran for Congress in 2000 you claimed your central experience was the Chairmanship of the $165 million Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Yet now that central qualification is missing from your resume. Is that because it was an utter failure... or because you worked closely with terrorist Bill Ayers for a half-dozen years?

In 2000 Barack Obama addressed the experience issue during his unsuccessful run for Congress.

Question: "One of the criticisms that arises in connection with your candidacy is you simply haven't been in the Senate very long, the State Senate. You have a limited track record in terms of time, what is your argument based on the one term that you've served so far? What makes you prepared for the Congress?"

Obama: "Well, I'm in my second term, but it's true that certainly both Senator Trotter and Congressman Rush have been in elected office longer than I have. I can't deny that. I would argue, though, that my experience previous to elected office equips me for the job. I have a background as an attorney, I've represented affordable housing organizations to build affordable housing, something that's a major issue in the district. I've chaired major philanthropic efforts in the city like the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, that gave fifty million dollars to prompt school reform efforts throughout the city."

Possible answer #1: The CAC's $165 million boondoggle was -- by its own admission -- an utter and complete failure.

Possible answer #2: In 1995 Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn -- who advocate the overthrow of the U.S government to this very day -- launched Barack Obama's career by hosting a "Meet the Candidate" event in their home. Ayers, who founded the CAC, then hired Obama as Chairman of the Board and administrator of $165 million, even though he had no experience other than as a "community organizer."

Either answer explains why Obama tossed his CAC experience (arguably his only "executive" experience) down the memory hole.

It's two... two... two... screw-ups in one! Not exactly the judgment we're looking for in a commander-in-chief. And doesn't that phrase ("Commander-in-Chief Obama") send a shiver down your spine?

Update: Obama's website has engineered several delightful evasions. His biography somehow omits his vaunted experience with the CAC and its ill-named "Fact Check" ostensibly explains the Obama/Ayers relationship without mentioning the Chicago Annenberg Challenge or the Woods Fund boards they served on for years.

Is that Barney Frank?

Why, yes, I think it is...

Don Surber (via Larwyn):

...what not to say in defense of Democrat Barack Obama (even if AP buried it in the 14th paragraph)... I'll admit, I missed its significance too the first time I posted on it.

AP's Douglass Daniel had an analyst in which he implied Republican Sarah Palin is a racist for connecting Obama to unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers... Daniel defended Obama better than Obama's own people.

The original headline was: "Analysis: Palin's words carry racial tinge."

That was changed to: "Analysis: Palin's words may backfire on McCain." ...Please note paragraph 14:

"It's a giant changing of the subject," said Jenny Backus, a Democratic strategist. "The problem is the messenger. If you want to start throwing fire bombs, you don't send out the fluffy bunny to do it. I think people don't take Sarah Palin seriously."

Yes, if you want fire-bombing done right, Obama is the expert on who to call.

Yes, we can!
