Anita Dunn, White House Communications Director, Has a Favorite Politician: Mass-Murderer Mao Tse-Tung (But Fox News Is Her Enemy)

Detecting a pattern yet?

Van Jones, a self-described Communist, was Barack Obama's "Green Jobs Czar" until he was forced to resign over his alleged support for 9/11 Truther insanity.

Mark Lloyd, the so-called "FCC Diversity Czar", is a Statist thug that has carefully devised plans to silence conservative talk radio using a racial quota system.

• And Anita Dunn, who stated that the White House is "treating Fox News as they would treat any other enemy." Anita Dunn, the White House Communications Director who lists Mao Tse-Tung as her political idol. Mao! The same Mao Tse-Tung that The New York Times calls a "mass-murderer" on par with Hitler.

It is impossible to imagine official homage in Germany for Hitler or in Russia for Stalin. And yet Mao was a destroyer of the same class as Hitler and Stalin. He exhibited his taste for killing from the early 1930's, when, historians now estimate, he had thousands of his political adversaries slaughtered. Ten years later, still before the Communist victory, more were executed at his guerrilla headquarters at Yan'an.

Hundreds of thousands of landlords were exterminated in the early 1950's. From 1959 to 1961 probably 30 million people died of hunger — the party admits 16 million — when Mao's economic fantasies were causing peasants to starve and he purged those who warned him of the scale of the disaster.

Many more perished during the Cultural Revolution, when Mao established a special unit, supervised by Prime Minister Zhou Enlai, to report to him in detail the sufferings of hundreds of imprisoned leaders who had incurred the chairman's displeasure.

One of the chairman's secretaries, Li Rui, wrote recently, "Mao was a person who did not fear death, and he did not care how many were killed."

During a June 2008 speech, Dunn described her political inspirations.

And the third tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers, Mao Tse Tung and Mother Teresa... the two people that I turn to most to basically deliver a simple plan.

...which is you're going to make choices, you're going to challenge, you're going to say why not, you're going to figure out how to do things no one's ever done before... here's the deal, they're your choices ...

In 1947, when Mao Tse-Tung was being challenged within his own party... to take China over, Chiang Kai-Shek [and his soldiers] held the cities, held the armies, held the air force... the people can say can say how you can do this? Mao said, 'You fight your war, I'll fight mine'... you don't have to accept the definition of how to do things... you fight your own war.

So Anita Dunn, White House Communications Director, has a favorite politician: the Hitler of China, Mao Tse-Tung. The man who slaughtered 70 million innocents.

But Fox News is the "enemy".

Un-f***ing-believable.

Democrats distancing themselves from Murtha

Politico reports that even the swamp-denizen Democrats are returning money from John "Unindicted Co-Conspirator" Murtha, author of some of the sleaziest earmarks in Congressional history.

A Democratic congressional candidate in Florida returned a campaign check from House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee Chairman John Murtha’s PAC, offering further evidence that Democrats in competitive races are worried about being linked to Murtha, who has come under intense scrutiny for his earmarking practices.

Lori Edwards, running in a GOP-leaning district in Florida, gave back $1,000 in Murtha money earlier this summer, shortly before the House killed a resolution from Rep. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) demanding a probe into earmarks and contributions related to the now-defunct PMA Group lobbying firm, run by former Appropriations Committee aide Paul Magliocchetti. The returned check was revealed in the October campaign finance reports released Wednesday.

More than 100 House members secured earmarks for clients of the PMA Group in the Murtha-written fiscal 2008 defense spending bill alone, and those members had taken in more than $1.8 million in campaign contributions from the PMA Group’s political action committee and its employees since 2001, according to CQ Politics.

...Flake spent months trying to pressure the House to force an ethics investigation, and around the time Edwards returned her Murtha money, more Democrats were beginning to distance themselves from Murtha. Though Democratic leaders were able to fend off the Flake efforts, 29 Democrats — mostly from swing districts — voted with Flake on one of his Murtha-related resolutions...

Of course, it's easy to forget about Murtha with so many corrupt slugs circling the drain (Rangel, Dodd, Mollohan, Reid, Waters, Frank, Feinstein, Pelosi, etc., etc.).

Since We're Making Up Quotes for Media Figures...

Since the no-holds-barred leftists are willing to make up Rush Limbaugh quotes from whole cloth...

...The newest basis for the assertion that Limbaugh is an eeeeeevil racist is as follows, according to Whitlock:

Here are two quotes attributed to Limbaugh in a 2006 book, “101 People Who Are Really Screwing America,” by Jack Huberman.

• “You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray (Dr. King’s assassin). We miss you, James. Godspeed.”

• “Let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: Slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back. I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.”

The first of these quotes has already been debunked most thoroughly, long before Rush’s bid to buy the Rams. It is self-evidently the complete fabrication of someone with a wiki account, which was then picked up by the unscrupulous Huberman and reported as fact (with no citations at all) in his book. The other, also attributed to Huberman, has never been sourced, and Huberman has never cited any original article, or even given any indication as to when this alleged statement was made...

I always find it fascinating that Limbaugh, who helped expose black libertarian/conservative academicians Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams to a huge new audience through their repeated guest-host slots during Rush’s frequent Carson-esque days off, is smeared as a racist.

Well, now that this sort of fabrication is in vogue, I've got several quotes from media pundits that I'd like to make you aware of.

Chris Matthews: "...I've often fantasized about Janet Reno, dressed in a corset and lace stockings, using a riding crop on me. That sends a thrill up my flanks."

Maureen Dowd: "Anothersh Tanq-and-tonic, shweety? *hic*"

Keith Olbermann: "Yes, it's true that I've been both the subject and the object of a unique device known to some as a 'strap-on'."

Brian Williams: "Bounce and sheen, not just volume, are the key to an anchorman's hair. Believe me when I tell you this -- I'm deadly serious, here."

Charlie Gibson: "You really can see Russia from Alaska? What the f***? I'm sick of these f***ing embarrassments -- someone's getting fired!"

It's truly shocking that these made-up quotes haven't gotten more attention from the press.

Obama receives Nobel War Prize

Bored Predator Drone Pumps a Few Rounds Into Mountain Goat

Our great fearless leader has won the Nobel War Prize for his efforts to destabilize Pakistan. This puts him up which such luminous past figures such as Henry Kissinger, "that 70s" war criminal and author of US State Department Policy Planning Memo 200, advocating forced dopopulation of multiple third-world countries. How's that Nobel Prize treating you Dr Strangelove... I mean Kissinger... no matter! This award was clearly a mistake -- and works towards our benefit. The elites could not have done a better job jolting several million people awake, in a grand "WTF" moment. Thanks guys! Congratulation on your War Prize Mr President!

"The announcement came as a surprise. Obama's name had not been mentioned among front-runners , and the roomful of reporters in Oslo, Norway, gasped when he was named."

Oh -- and this commentary was interesting:

GG, I understand that oil is priced in dollars and we have an agreement with the Saudis that we will protect them if they sell their oil in dollars, etc., but walk me through how the dollar becomes "finished" and how the dollar is backed by oil. Purchasing oil in dollars isn't the same as being backed oil-backed is it? Not disagreeing just trying to understand this better.

Basically the US "agreement" (oh come on who are we kidding here? They put a gun to their heads) with Saudis ensures that whoever needs to purchase oil from the middle east has to buy dollars first on the international market. This creates an artificial demand for a lot of dollars by all oil importing countries (China, India, etc. etc.) that would otherwise not be there. The important thing is that these countries therefore hoard dollars as "reserves" (they hoard it for other purposes/other commodities priced in USD as well but buying oil is by far the biggest factor) thus absorbing Uncle Sam's excess money printing. Hence there are a lot of of excess dollars floating around out there that would be dishoarded once USD is no longer needed to buy oil (plus when one of the big players starts getting rid of its dollars, others automatically HAVE TO follow as the first one out the door gets the best value. They will be pushing and fighting to be the first one out the door). The dollars would be sold off on the currency markets causing an extreme glut of dollars and skyrocketing the price of everything in terms of dollars - immediate and severe depreciation of the currency or hyperinflation. Now you know why Team Obama is sh***ing their pants right now.

I blame the Militant Quakers.

Oh. And Bush.

Fascinating Chart o' the Day: Has the Stock Market Really Gone Up?

Here's an interesting chart that demonstrates just how closely the stock market tracks the U.S. dollar.

The red line represents the S&P 500. The blue line represents the inverse of the U.S. dollar versus a stable currency (in this case, the Canadian dollar*). In other words, when the dollar goes down, the blue line goes up. And vice versa.

Put simply, the S&P 500, measured in the dollar's real value, has been flat for quite some time. When SPY goes up, the dollar goes down.

On the Toronto Stock Exchange, the Horizons BetaPro U.S. Dollar Bear Plus ETF trades under the symbol HDD. Its intent is to generate "daily investment results equal to 200% of the... inverse performance" of the U.S. dollar against the Canadian dollar.

Charts o' the Day: Obama has a Death Panel --- for the Economy

Democrats in Congress and in the Obama administration have tripled the national deficit in only nine months.

Their egregious budgets put America on a glide-path to bankruptcy. Nine years from now, unless we throw out these economic illiterates, the deficit will be the size of the entire American economy.

How has the economy responded to their gravity-defying spending spree?

The "Cash for Clunkers" program was an utter failure, pulling demand forward primarily for foreign automakers, even though American taxpayers own GM and Chrysler.

Surely a genius like TurboTax Tim Geithner -- the only man smart enough to rescue the economy -- could help us understand this chart. Multiple housing starts are still at a record low and there is literally no momentum for improved real estate sales when so many Americans are unemployed.

Mortgage rates are at record lows. Taxpayers are funding $8,000 down payments in the form of tax credits. And yet, despite all of the spending, home sales remain at near record lows. The few houses that are selling are existing homes. So much for stimulating construction employment.

The price of "affordable" mortgage rates -- affordability being a relative term when you're unemployed -- is the catastrophic devaluation of the U.S. dollar. At some point soon, rates must increase. And when they do, the outstanding Option ARM and Alt-A loan book will truly become a ticking time-bomb.

The true unemployment rate (U-6) is at 17 pecent while the average work week is the lowest it's been since they started keeping records in the sixties.

Despite a record number of foreclosures, debt forgiveness packages and bankruptcies, households are still carrying a phenomenal amount of debt. The "stimulus" package appeared to be a wonderful bailout for the banks and their cronies in Washington, but less effective for Joe Average.

The stock market trend over the last few months is an odd one: despite very low volumes, the DJIA and SPY have ratcheted up 50% from their lows. The underpinnings of the ramp-up are hard to rationalize given the upcoming waves of Option ARM, Alt-A and Commercial Real Estate defaults. And although they're swimming in cash, the banks aren't extending credit, presumably because they're sitting on massive hidden losses that haven't been marked to market. Given the uncertainty around small businesses (mandated health care, energy taxes, etc.), unemployment will remain high. All of these factors mean that we could have a third major bubble building in the markets.

An analysis by Price Waterhouse Coopers (PDF) demonstrates that health care bills for individuals and families will skyrocket under the Democrats' "health care reform" efforts that leave tens of millions uninsured.

Count on spending an additional $4,000 (in after tax dollars) each year for your family.

Add in the health care bill to all of the other deficit spending and the results are dismal indeed.

The health care bill adds trillions to an already dangerously swollen deficit.

Feel stimulated yet?

In the midst of this economic catastrophe, the failures in Washington are relentlessly pushing the nationalization of one-fifth of our entire economy.

I don't know whether there are "death panels" in the health care bill, but the Democrats have one running our economy.

Liberal Media Split on Obama's Enemies List

ABC's Jake Tapper describes the salient aspects of the administration's Stalinist tactics to ostracize the Fox News channel.

It turns out last month's decision by the White House to leave out Fox News Sunday when the president made the rounds of Sunday shows was part of a larger campaign launched against the cable news network.

White House communications director Anita Dunn told TIME that FNC is "opinion journalism masquerading as news," and went on CNN's "Reliable Sources" earlier this week to talk more about the White House's view of the cable news network.

"The reality of it is that FOX News often operates almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party," Dunn said. "And it's not ideological. Obviously, there are many commentators who have conservative, liberal, centrist, and everybody understands that. But I think what is fair to say about FOX and certainly the way we view it is that it really is more a wing of the Republican Party."

"It really is not a news network at this point," Dunn said...

To their credit, some liberal media outlets are pillorying the Obama administration for maintaining a very public enemies list.

The Nation calls Obama the "Whiner-in-Chief."

The Huffington Post says the administration has "been met with a surprising backlash."

The Baltimore Sun's David Zurawik wrote in the Baltimore Sun that Dunn was wrong and dangerous, to boot: "I have to say I was surprised to hear a senior White House staffer sounding so uninformed and blatantly biased. This campaign by the Obama administration is dangerous to press freedom, and it should concern everyone in the press."

The Kansas City Star's editorial page asks, "Fox News and MSNBC: Who's the bigger shill?"

Of course, the usual cadre of First Amendment-hating Chavez-supporters openly applauded Fox's vilification.

One assumes they also approved of Nixon's enemies list.

Exclusive: Thomas Jefferson on Hannity

Tonight on Hannity -- a world-exclusive, the first televised interview with Thomas Jefferson, third President of the United States.

Hannity: Sir, thank you so much for meeting with us. It's a unique honor and privilege.

Jefferson: You're welcome, young man. Your industrious society has created many marvels worthy of the American people.

Hannity: Mr. President, President Obama enters office with a huge amount of "hoopla" and an almost messianic belief that he can "heal the environment", fix the economy, and solve problems like global terrorism. Is some sort of reckoning certain?

Jefferson: No man will ever carry out of the Presidency the reputation which carried him into it.

Hannity: His immense, trillion-dollar "stimulus" package puts control of the people's money in the hands of a few central planners. What is your reaction to that strategy?

Jefferson: Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves are its only safe depositories... I know of no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them but to inform their discretion.

Hannity: So you are generally opposed to a top-down stimulus package and prefer that the spending decisions reside with the people who pay taxes?

Jefferson: I own that I am not a friend to a very energetic government. It is always oppressive.

Hannity: What about Democrats' tendency to grow the size of government and intrude in every aspect of our lives... from the New Deal's entitlement programs, transportation, energy, health care, etc.?

Jefferson: My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.

Hannity: And increasing taxes on the highest earners -- the "progressive" income tax?

Jefferson: A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government.

Hannity: How troubling is it that the amount of debt that the Federal Government is undertaking -- combined with entitlement programs that are massively underfunded -- means that we are passing huge amounts of debt to our children and grandchildren.

Jefferson: It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world... Never spend your money before you have earned it.

Hannity: What would you like to say to the those of our current leaders who are operating under ethical clouds: from Rangel, to Dodd, Murtha, Frank, Mollohan, Clinton, Geithner, Holder and Reid.

Jefferson: Our country is now taking so steady a course as to show by what road it will pass to destruction, to wit: by consolidation of power first, and then corruption, its necessary consequence.

Hannity: You've seen one of my "man-in-the-street" interviews, where we ask random people simple questions about current events, like 'who is the Vice President'? We found during the Obama campaign that many of those voting for him were completely uninformed and various surveys confirm that general ignorance about the man and his motives. Is that troubling?

Jefferson: If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.

Hannity: Mr. President, what are your thoughts about President Obama basically ignoring Republican requests for a bi-partisanship approach to the stimulus package, stating "I won" and to get over themselves?

Jefferson: Bear in mind this sacred principle, that though the will of the majority is in all cases to prevail, that will to be rightful must be reasonable; that the minority possess their equal rights, which equal law must protect, and to violate would be oppression.

Hannity: The concept of welfare, where the state redistributes wealth to the poor even though many could easily work, has been statistically shown to increase single-parent families, a culture of dependency and crime. What are your thoughts on welfare?

Jefferson: Dependence begets subservience and venality, suffocates the germ of virtue, and prepares fit tools for the designs of ambition.

Hannity: Moving to the First Amendment: this concept of blogging, where anyone can be a well-read author or pundit, is a new innovation for politics. Do you believe that blogging is a useful tool to promote Democracy?

Jefferson: Information is the currency of democracy... Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.

Hannity: Interestingly enough, the whole newspaper business has suffered mightily with the rise of the Internet. Your reaction?

Jefferson: I do not take a single newspaper, nor read one a month, and I feel myself infinitely the happier for it.

Hannity: Regarding the Second Amendment, Barack Obama has historically opposed private ownership and possession of firearms. In fact, his home city of Chicago has onerous regulations that effectively prohibit guns altogether, yet the city has the highest number of murders per year of any state in the Union. Your thoughts?

Jefferson: No man shall be debarred the use of arms... Every citizen should be a soldier. This was the case with the Greeks and Romans, and must be that of every free state. For a people who are free, and who mean to remain so, a well-organized and armed militia is their best security.

Hannity: How do you respond to Democrats who have made a variety of moves to revive the ill-named "Fairness Doctrine", which threatens conservative free speech and which was already ruled unconstitutional once in our history?

Jefferson: I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man... It behooves every man who values liberty of conscience for himself, to resist invasions of it in the case of others: or their case may, by change of circumstances, become his own.

Hannity: Final question, sir. What about the Democrats' massive dependency programs, entitlement programs, and efforts to censor free speech such as the "Fairness Doctrine"? Doesn't this violate the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution?

Jefferson: Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.

Hannity: Thank you so much for your valuable time, Mr. President.

Fannie Mae document drop reveals an unbelievable level of slime

If you have interest in what helped precipitate the mortgage meltdown of 2008, one need only examine the actions of the government-sponsored entity Fannie Mae. As an indirect buyer and packager of subprime loans, Fannie trafficked in hundreds of billions in toxic financial products.

The level of corruption exhibited by Fannie Mae's management in the early 21st century almost defies description. During this time, Fannie suffered a $10 billion accounting scandal, an ominous harbinger of the firm's subprime troubles.

Leading Fannie Mae: Clinton-era operatives Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelick and Jim Johnson (also an Obama adviser), who carted off hundreds of millions in compensation, much of it through an Enron-like accounting scam.

How did the accounting fraud occur? Fortunately, a document drop by the law firm of Katz, Marshall & Banks reveals the findings of a Fannie Mae accountant-turned-whistleblower named Roger Barnes. KMB has released both its letter to Senator Warren Rudman and pertinent exhibits (PDF).

The highlights are truly shocking:

I would encourage you to read the entire letter. The brazen fraud perpetrated by Fannie's management -- consisting of all loyal Democrat party hacks and Clintonistas -- is shocking in its scope.

And how do all of these findings fit into the Obama meme that the meltdown was all President Bush's fault? It doesn't, of course.

Which means you won't hear about any of these documents -- and the truth behind the mortgage meltdown -- except perhaps on Fox News.

China's Commercial Real Estate Bubble, Illustrated

Hedge fund manager Hugh Hendry toured business districts in China to evaluate the commercial real estate (CRE) situation. What he found should be discomfiting for all but the sunniest of optimists. Skyscraper after skyscraper, office building after office building... all are empty and awaiting tenants that will never arrive. And more buildings are under construction as we speak.

Put simply, China's credit bubble has yet to deflate.

And when it does, the effects will be felt in the Beijing's halls of government and around the world.

Note: the audio quality of the video is quite poor, but still definitely worth the viewing.

Fox News is finding allies in some surprising quarters.

Good on them.

Asses to Asses

Mary Ann sent this one in.

More than 5,000 years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land."

Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said, "Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses and light up a Camel; this is the Promised Land."

Now Obama has stolen your shovel, taxed your asses, raised the price of Camels, and mortgaged the Promised Land.

God help us.
