LAWSUIT: Bill Clinton made multiple trips to fundraiser's private island where underage sex slaves were held

This appears to be part of a pattern. That is, a real "war on women" -- and girls -- waged by the impeached and disbarred William Jefferson Clinton.

A new lawsuit has revealed the extent of former President Clinton's friendship with a fundraiser who was later jailed for having sex with an underage prostitute.

Bill Clinton's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, who served time in 2008 for his illegal sexual partners, included up multiple trips to the onetime billionaire's private island in the Caribbean where underage girls were allegedly kept as sex slaves... the two men's friendship ... seems to have ended abruptly around the time of Epstein's arrest...

...Tales of orgies and young girls being shipped to the island, called Little St. James, have been revealed as part of an ongoing lawsuit between Epstein and his former lawyers Scott Rothstein and Bradley Edwards...

...Flight logs pinpoint Clinton's trips on Epstein's jet between the years 2002 and 2005, while he was working on his philanthropic post-presidential career and while his wife Hillary was a Senator for their adopted state of New York...

...[An] unidentified woman [said] how orgies were a regular occurrence and she recalled two young girls from New York who were always seen around the five-house compound but their personal backstories were never revealed.

At least one woman on the compound was there unwillingly, as the suit identifies a woman as Jane Doe 102. She 'was forced to live as one of Epstein's underage sex slaves for years and was forced to have sex with... politicians, businessmen, royalty, academicians, etc,' the lawsuit says...

Epstein's sexual exploits have been documented since 2005, when a woman in Palm Beach contacted police saying that her 14-year-old daughter had been paid $300 to massage him and then have sex... The claim prompted a nearly year-long investigation that led to the eventual charge of soliciting prostitution which came as part of a plea deal. He spent 13 months of a 18-month sentence in jail and remains a registered sex offender.

Maybe this news will push the execrable Woman's Day magazine to honor Clinton with another award. Perhaps a "Little Blue Dress" trophy?

DELUSIONAL NANCY PELOSI: Obamacare will be a "political winner" for Democrats in 2014

Guest post by Israel Ortega

Another day means another poll that is sure to give the President and some members of Congress heartburn. According to a new poll by the Pew Research Center, opposition to the President’s signature legislative achievement remains high. The survey, as reported by The Hill, found that 53 percent disapprove of Obamacare, compared with 41 percent who approve.

Given such opposition, one would think twice about describing the law as a “political winner,” but that’s exactly how House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) sees it. Her remarks after the jump are illustrative of the vast disconnect between the will of the people and Congress and may help explain why “one in three registered voters in the NBC-WSJ poll said that their vote for Congress this fall will be intended to signal opposition to President Obama.”

Unfortunately, for Pelosi, four years after Congress passed Obamacare to find out what’s in it, the American people are learning that many can’t really keep their health insurance or doctor—and that the promise that health insurance premiums would go down was also off the mark.

Pelosi, however, would rather us not worry about those side effects and instead concern ourselves with calling the law by her preferred name, “the Affordable Care Act,” and not Obamacare, as she was quick to correct an unsuspecting journalist.

And now... some censored news from the Democrat Utopia of Venezuela

I'm so confused: we're not seeing any of this on "mainstream" media.

Miami Herald: 3 more deaths in Venezuela as both sides march

Obama administration propagandist and WaPo "reporter" Juliet Eilperin chose... poorly

If you missed the kerfuffle that's erupted between Power Line's John Hinderaker and the execrable Washington Post's propaganda machine, well, check this out.

On Thursday, the Washington Post published an article by Steven Mufson and Juliet Eilperin titled “The biggest lease holder in Canada’s oil sands isn’t Exxon Mobil or Chevron. It’s the Koch brothers.” ... So Thursday evening, I wrote about the Post article here. I pointed out that Koch is not, in fact, the largest leaser of tar sands land; that Koch will not be a user of the pipeline if it is built; and that construction of the Keystone Pipeline would actually be harmful to Koch’s economic interests, which is why Koch has never taken a position on the pipeline’s construction. The Keystone Pipeline, in short, has nothing whatsoever to do with the Koch brothers.

My post garnered a great deal of attention, and Mufson and Eilperin undertook to respond to it here... [their] response attempted to explain “Why we wrote about the Koch Industries [sic] and its leases in Canada’s oil sands.” Good question! What’s the answer?

The Powerline article itself, and its tone, is strong evidence that issues surrounding the Koch brothers’ political and business interests will stir and inflame public debate in this election year. That’s why we wrote the piece.

So in the Post’s view, it is acceptable to publish articles that are both literally false (Koch is the largest tar sands leaseholder) and massively misleading (the Keystone Pipeline is all about Koch Industries), if by doing so the paper can “stir and inflame public debate in this election year?” I can’t top Jonah Goldberg’s comment on that howler:

By this logic any unfair attack posing as reporting is worthwhile when people try to correct the record. Why not just have at it and accuse the Kochs of killing JFK or hiding the Malaysian airplane? The resulting criticism would once again provide “strong evidence that issues surrounding the Koch brothers’ political and business interests will stir and inflame public debate in this election year.”

Let me offer an alternative explanation of why the Washington Post published their Keystone/Koch smear: 1) The Washington Post in general, and Mufson and Eilperin in particular, are agents of the Left, the environmental movement and the Democratic Party. 2) The Keystone Pipeline is a problem for the Democratic Party because 60% of voters want the pipeline built, while the party’s left-wing base insists that it not be approved. 3) The Keystone Pipeline is popular because it would broadly benefit the American people by creating large numbers of jobs, making gasoline more plentiful and bringing down the cost of energy. 4) Therefore, the Democratic Party tries to distract from the real issues surrounding the pipeline by claiming, falsely, that its proponents are merely tools of the billionaire Koch brothers–who, in fact, have nothing to do with Keystone one way or the other. 5) The Post published its article to assist the Democratic Party with its anti-Keystone talking points.

WELL, THAT MAKES SENSE: Nancy Pelosi to Accept Award Named After KKK Advocate and Race Eugenicist

Just when you think the Democrat Party has hit rock bottom, they break out the jackhammer and start digging a new sub-basement:

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PP) announced that House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, an alleged Roman Catholic, will be given “the Margaret Sanger Award, the organization’s highest honor, in recognition of her leadership, excellence, and outstanding contributions to the reproductive health and rights movement over the course of her career,” according to a Planned Parenthood website posting...

Margaret Sanger was hardly the woman's rights hero that the modern Left markets. In fact, she was an advocate for the Ku Klux Klan and a zealot for culling out "inferior" races from the nation's gene pool.

Sanger wanted a new and improved race: ‘[We should] apply a stern and rigid policy of sterilization and segregation to that grade of population whose progeny is tainted, or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring.’

Then there was the April 1932 Birth Control Review, p. 108[, in which she stated]: Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race.

PENSION ARMAGEDDON: Calamity Rising

Democrats and math mix like oil and water.

Some state pensions in dire straits

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie doesn't waste an opportunity to raise the specter of Detroit when talking about his state's finances... Christie, a Republican, has included a $2.25 billion payment to New Jersey's public pension system in 2015, the highest in the state's history and more than his predecessor, Democrat Jon Corzine, allocated in his entire four-year term. But it does little to narrow the gap left by years of poor accounting, deferred payments and, according to Christie, ignorance of state leaders.

New Jersey's pension system is still short by $52 billion, and Christie, who successfully pushed through pension overhauls in 2011, is looking for another round of concessions from unions and public employees to rein in the soaring cost of retiree benefits.

At recent public appearances, Christie told his audience to look at Detroit, the largest American city to file for bankruptcy... "Ladies and gentlemen, that's where we're headed," Christie said at a town hall meeting in Burlington County on March 13.

Three years after a wave of pension overhauls swept across America, many states find themselves still hemmed-in by ballooning retiree costs and budget-sucking liabilities, setting the table for more battles between states and public workers.

PARTY OF WEAKNESS COMIX: Mom Jeans vs. KGB

Democrats despise our military and have always undermined our national defense. Always.

As former director of the U.S. Naval Institute Steve Cohen notes, "Only 35% of the U.S. Navy's entire fleet is deployed, fewer than 100 ships, including just three aircraft carriers."

And Obama wants more cuts. Not for his radical corporatist green-energy buddies. Not for the hundreds of millions of waste, fraud and abuse as described by the federal government itself.

No, Democrats always want to cut the military.

Because they despise America.

The next president is going to have one hell of a mess on his or her hands.

BUMMER FOR GLOBAL COOLING DENIERS: Cold Weather Slashes Range of Electric Vehicles by 57%

Runner-up headline: Green Energy Nuts Stunned to Find Out Batteries Don't Like the Cold

Any particle physicist -- or a third-grader who has played with a battery -- could have told you this.

AAA recently released the results of a study that looked into the driving range for EVs in areas with freezing temps. According to the study, the EV takes a major range hit in cold weather.

The study claims that in freezing temps, the typical EV sees a reduction in driving range of 57% compared to the EPA ratings for the car. The significant reduction in driving range is noted in temperatures of about 20-degrees according to the study.

That means that for an EV with a driving range of 105 miles in 75-degree temps, the car will only get 43 miles on a full charge at 20-degrees. AAA also found that hot weather decreases driving range, but not as much as cold weather.

This is a good reason why California continues to be the most popular area for EVs. I am sure there are more than a few EV owners in places where it gets hot or cold that are very unhappy with their decision to purchase an EV right now.

Just to recap: EVs perform very poorly in cold weather and they perform almost as poorly when it's hot.

Gee, if only someone could invent, I don't know, maybe a combustion engine that would be impervious to changes in temperature?

If anything racist is involved here, it is in the suggestion that minorities are too incompetent to furnish their IDs. How could you disrespect minorities any more that that?

If people can’t muster their ID — I don’t care who they are — then they don’t deserve the privilege of voting, and people who want to protect their right to do so without ID are on their face suspect.

It is a crying shame that our federal government is run by partisan Democrats who are waging war against the integrity of the election process, the rule of law and the sovereignty of the several states. I pray more people wake up to this reality." --David Limbaugh

Our intrepid summer intern @BiffSpackle offers the following riposte:

Oh, and Fluke this.

Researchers finally figure out how tire sounds are made

Apparently we didn't know until now. I highlighted this story because of: (a) the cool illustration; and (b) science.

With supercomputers capable of beating our best chess and Jeopardy players, you'd think that being able to simulate the sounds a tire makes while rolling on a road was easy—but it's not. In fact, Yokohama had to team up with the Japanese equivalent of NASA to finally recreate how air and sound behave around the company's tires.

Working with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Yokohama's researchers used a detailed 3D model of a tire to finally simulate how the sounds it produces are created. And it turns out those sounds are not only produced by all the air turbulence around a rolling tire, but also by the constant compression of air in front of the tire where it meets the road, and as it circulates around it.

RUMBLE: Is Illinois Finally Ready to Embrace Fiscal Sanity by Electing its Own Scott Walker?

Guest post by Investor's Business Daily

Politics: The primary victory of a private-equity millionaire who believes in term limits and curbing the incestuous power of public-sector unions has a real shot at becoming Illinois's first GOP governor in a decade.

That Illinois, arguably the bluest of blue states, may turn red in November may seem implausible. But then, it wasn't that long ago that a relatively unknown Scott Walker was tilting at union windmills in Wisconsin. Bruce Rauner, victor in Illinois' gubernatorial primary Tuesday, has taken dead aim at the same target, and in a state beleaguered by debt, taxes and unfunded pension liabilities he is given a real shot.

Rauner, a self-made, private-sector millionaire who said in his ads, "I can't be bought," argued for term limits as a way of keeping government officials from enriching themselves at public expense. Three recent Illinois governors have found their way to prison, the latest being Rod Blagojevich, famous for trying to sell President Obama's old Senate seat to the highest bidder.

Rauner took on the public-sector unions early. "The government-union bosses are at the core of our spending problem in Illinois," he said in a primary debate, arguing that public unions create a "conflict of interest for the taxpayers" and have made a mess of the state's finances.

QOTD: "The Chinese “received a message from the Russians” back in 2008 suggesting a pact to sell Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac securities on the market, which would have nudged down the price of the debt of Fannie and Freddie and also maximized the chaos on Wall Street, a former U.S. official told BBC. It confirms a report that TheBlaze TV’s For the Record first aired back in September 2013.

...Talking about the 2008 financial crisis, particularly the issues with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, former U.S. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson explained that the Chinese were the “biggest external investor holding Fannie and Freddie Securities.” Because of this, China was “very, very concerned” when Fannie and Freddie began to melt down.

That’s when the Russians allegedly tried to iron out a pact with the Chinese." --Jason Howerton
