STUNNER: Even Thoroughly Politicized DOJ Reluctantly Admits it Can't Find Reason to Charge Darren Wilson

It would seem that even the most corrupt Attorney General in modern American history (surpassing John Mitchell, in my view) couldn't find a reason to charge Officer Darren Wilson of the beleaguered Ferguson P.D.

Say, maybe it was the videotape of the "Gentle Giant" ripping off a convenience store and roughing up the owner. And all of the physical evidence at the scene. And the witnesses of every race that backed up Wilson's story. Et cetera.

The Justice Department is taking the final steps toward closing the politically charged investigation into the shooting death of an unarmed black teenager in Ferguson, Mo., and clearing the white police officer involved of civil rights charges.

Federal prosecutors have begun work on a legal memo recommending no civil rights charges against the officer, Darren Wilson, law enforcement officials said.

That would close the case in the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown. An investigation by the F.B.I., which is complete, found no evidence to support the charges against the officer, the officials said.

Of course, facts, logic, reason and evidence won't sway the Leftist race-baiters bent on fomenting division and violence. But enough about MSNBC.

QOTD: "Barack Obama, commentators on both sides of the aisle have noted, often seems insecure. In an impromptu moment last night, he again had to point out he won twice. The left loved it. It was not in the prepared remarks, but in a speech entirely catering to the left, there was probably some planning.

It did, however, undermine all the bipartisan overtones of his speech. He may have won twice, but thanks to him, the GOP has won Congress, Governors Mansions, and State Legislatures galore in both 2010 and 2014. In fact, Barack Obama last night spoke to the fewest Democrats in Congress in 90 years.

...As you are reading this, Barack Obama’s tenure ends in less than two years. In a year, he will see a member of his own party distance himself or herself from the President in order to win. The President is right. He has no races left to win.

And thanks to his leadership, he has very little legacy to left to defend. The world is a far more dangerous place than when Barack Obama took office. The nation is far more divided. And Republicans should commit themselves to seeing that Barack Obama’s legacy lies on the ash heap of history." --Erick Erickson

What do they call it again? Oh yeah, Smart Power™.

In related news, ISIS is executing educated women in Syria and Iraq (War on Women™), throwing homosexuals off the roofs of high buildings (caution: graphic photos) and engaging in a "crucifixion frenzy".

Oh, and another Islamic terror group, Boko Haram, is slaughtering thousands of innocents.

And while all of this is going on, President Obama is doing his level best to ensure that the world's greatest state sponsor of terrorism can finally get its hands on nuclear weapons. Which, should that happen, will result in terror attacks of unprecedented magnitude.

Yes, he's "historic", alright.

SEN. JEFF SESSIONS: McCaul Bill Breaks Republican Promise to Voters on Immigration

By Sen. Jeff Sessions

Republicans won a historic midterm vote on the promise to take real action—not symbolic gestures—to end the immigration lawlessness. It is essential that any immigration measures moved by the Republican Congress actually do the job. Too often, Congress will pass anything on immigration except that which will actually work. Indeed, the repudiated Gang of Eight bill was touted as the ‘toughest border security [and] enforcement measures in U.S. history.’

Unfortunately, border legislation being marked-up on Wednesday in the House Homeland Security Committee again fails to include the measures necessary to fulfill its promises.

One of the most dramatic ways in which the President has undermined immigration enforcement is by ordering agents to release apprehended illegal border-crossers by the tens of thousands. Yet the pending legislation does nothing to end this endemic practice of catch-and-release, ensuring large amounts of illegal immigration will continue unabated.

The Chairman McCaul proposal does not include the following reforms needed to achieve a sound immigration system: it does not end catch-and-release; it does not require mandatory detention and return; it does not include worksite enforcement; it does not close dangerous asylum and national security loopholes; it does not cut-off access to federal welfare; and it does not require completion of the border fence. Surprisingly, it delays and weakens the longstanding unfulfilled statutory requirement for a biometric entry-exit visa tracking system.

If Congress learned anything from last year’s ongoing border disaster, it should be that border security cannot be achieved unless immigration agents are permitted to do their jobs and our laws are actually being enforced. A nation cannot control its borders if being caught violating those borders does not result in one’s swift return home.

As it stands now, Congress provides billions of dollars every year to the Department of Homeland Security for border security and immigration enforcement and yet DHS uses those resources to flout the laws Congress has passed, rather than to enforce them. Without ending catch-and-release, any additional funds for DHS will simply be used to facilitate the transfer of more illegal immigrants into U.S communities. Border security must be approached differently in a time when we have a President who makes up his own laws, and where illegal immigrants actually hope they will be apprehended so they can be released into an American city or town. We live in a new reality.

As such, it is essential that any border plan include some of the following measures, or that these measures be adopted first:

  • Mandatory E-Verify
  • Mandatory detention and repatriation for illegal entrants
  • Expedited deportation for border-crossers
  • Close asylum loopholes
  • Bar access to welfare and tax credits
  • Penalties for the Administration’s continued failure to implement the biometric entry-exit system as required by law
  • Penalties for the Administration’s continued failure to build 700 miles of double-layer border fence
  • Refusing visas to countries with high overstay rates or that will not repatriate their citizens

Americans have begged and pleaded for years for an end to the lawlessness. But the politicians have refused to listen. Time and again, proposals are offered with tough promises that the legislation does not fulfill. This time must be different. We cannot be satisfied with measures that create the appearance of doing something while changing little. We need reforms that actually work, protecting the jobs and communities of the American citizens we represent.”

Say, I wonder how President Obama did on his 2014 promises?

By Ben Shapiro

President Obama made a lot of promises about how he’d make the world a better place in 2014. He said he’d fight the bad guys, force them to back down, stand up for freedom around the world.

So, let’s test how he did.

In April 2014, the Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram, which literally means no education for girls, kidnapped 276 schoolgirls. On May 9, First Lady Michelle Obama posed with this sign:

Taking over President Obama’s weekly address, she said this:

"This unconscionable act was committed by a terrorist group determined to keep these girls from getting an education - grown men attempting to snuff out the aspirations of young girls,' she said. 'Let us hold their families in our hearts during this very difficult time, and let us show just a fraction of their courage in fighting to give every girl on this planet the education that is her birthright."

A couple of weeks later, Obama himself spoke about Boko Haram in a speech at West Point:

"Tragically, no American security operation can eradicate the threat posed by an extremist group like Boko Haram. That is why we must focus both on rescuing those girls, but also on supporting Nigerian efforts to educate its youth."

So, what happened to the girls? Many of them were forced to convert to Islam and then forcibly “married” – i.e. raped – by the members of Boko Haram. Just days after Michelle Obama’s #BringBackOurGirls hashtag, Boko Haram reportedly drove 3,000 out of their homes and kidnapped their children. Just days after Obama’s West Point address, two of the girls were found buried and another two were found raped in the forest. In June, Boko Haram reportedly kidnapped another 91 girls. That came on top of the slaughter of an entire village the month before.

So yeah, that worked out well.

However, if the GOP offers only the “pale pastels” of another moderate loser and not the “bold colors” of a conservative, the party will surely lose again.

According to the government, there's no inflation. And there isn't. Unless you live in the real world.

By Jim Quinn

Government data reports are so funny. The blaring headlines today tells us that prices dropped in December. We are all saving billions from the drop in oil and gas. Hallelujah!!!

The corporate MSM never digs into the numbers to get the real truth. These reports and their distribution to the sheep are designed to keep you sedated and calm. Facts are not necessary. How this data pertains to your everyday life is not important to the .1% who control the flow of information.

Here is a link to the detailed inflation numbers by category. We already know they massage these numbers to achieve a happy ending, but even the massaged numbers tell an entirely different story than the one peddled to the masses by the government and corporate media.

Remember When Liberals Sided with U.S. Workers?

By Bill Chip

1991 Push to Allow Hiring of Illegals Stopped by Coretta Scott King Letter

Congress's frenzied reaction to President Obama's second-term push for "comprehensive immigration reform" (CIR) has revealed a split within the GOP, and within the conservative movement more generally. This split, which is not new, pits businesses that want to maximize access to low-cost foreign labor against "social conservatives" who are uncomfortable with the liberal project to transform American society through mass immigration. The split has been skillfully exploited by Democratic politicians and by mainstream media outlets that have been advancing the notion that CIR is inevitable.

Not so long ago, this conservative split on immigration policy was matched by a split among liberals or "progressives" on balancing the needs of native-born and foreign-born workers. Indeed, from the earliest days of the Republic, and even before, American reformers who fought against child labor, union-busting, and racial discrimination were also supportive of immigration restrictions that would balance the desire of aliens to relocate to this country with the desire of American workers to earn wages that permitted formation of a family. This created a split on the left, analogous to the longstanding split on the right, between those who viewed immigration restriction as discrimination against foreigners and those who viewed open borders as discrimination against American workers, especially minority workers.

Booker T. Washington, America's pre-eminent civil rights leader in the late 19th century, was unconcerned about accusations of "nativism" when he pleaded with Southern business leaders to look for workers "among the eight millions of Negroes whose habits you know" rather than to "the incoming of those of foreign birth and strange tongue and habits". The country's most authentic Mexican-American leader, Cesar Chavez, was unashamed to have his United Farm Workers report undocumented workers to the Immigration and Naturalization Service, and he was joined in protests against the hiring of illegal immigrants by liberal icons such as Ralph Abernathy and Walter Mondale.

27 Facts That Prove Just How Badly Barack Obama's Presidency Has Devastated the Middle Class

By Michael Snyder

During his State of the Union speech on Tuesday evening, Barack Obama is going to promise to make life better for middle class families. Of course he has also promised to do this during all of his other State of the Union addresses, but apparently he still believes that there are people out there that are buying what he is selling. Each January, he gets up there and tells us how the economy is “turning around” and to believe that much brighter days are right around the corner. And yet things just continue to get even worse for the middle class. The numbers that you are about to see will not be included in Obama’s State of the Union speech. They don’t fit the “narrative” that Obama is trying to sell to the American people. But all of these statistics are accurate. They paint a picture of a middle class that is dying. Yes, the decline of the U.S. middle class is a phenomenon that has been playing out for decades. But without a doubt, our troubles have accelerated during the Obama years. When it comes to economics, he is completely and utterly clueless, and the policies that he has implemented are eating away at the foundations of our economy like a cancer. The following are 27 facts that show how the middle class has fared under 6 years of Barack Obama…

#1 American families in the middle 20 percent of the income scale now earn less money than they did on the day when Barack Obama first entered the White House.

#2 American families in the middle 20 percent of the income scale have a lower net worth than they did on the day when Barack Obama first entered the White House.

#3 According to a Washington Post article published just a few days ago, more than 50 percent of the children in U.S. public schools now come from low income homes. This is the first time that this has happened in at least 50 years.

QOTD: "President Obama’s former Secretary of Defense and Director of the CIA Leon Panetta said he believes there is an imminent threat of a terrorist attack to the United States.

Panetta said, “I don’t think there’s any question. I think what we’re seeing, as I said, is a much more aggressive chapter and a much more dangerous chapter in terms of the war on terrorism.”

Panetta said that Islamic extremist attacks in Paris and Ottawa, as well as the terrorist threat thwarted in Belgium, indicate a new era of combatting terrorism.

The former head of the chief intelligence-gathering agency said that it is clear that terrorist organizations such as ISIS are ramping up their recruiting efforts.

Referring to terrorist organizations, Panetta said, “They are engaged in a much more aggressive effort to conduct violence not only in Europe, but I think it’s a matter of time before they direct it at the United States as well. This is a real threat and we’ve got to be prepared to confront that.”" --Washington Free Beacon

AMERICAN INTIFIDA: Democrat Leftists and Islamists Join Forces to Promote Terrorism

By Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

Trevor Loudon wrote an article that each and every one of us should read and take note of: Intifada USA? American Radicals Build Ties to “Palestinian” Revolutionaries. I agree completely with Trevor when he says that 2015 could usher in chaos, unrest and violence as we have not seen in our lifetime. The Communists are now joining hands in America with the Radical Islamists, forming an American Intifada – an uprising, resistance, revolt. They are using racism as the building blocks and their hate for America as the glue to forward massive havoc and violence in our streets.

The riots in Ferguson and New York were just the warm up act for these thugs. They are looking to create what they think is an American Spring, which will push every radical and Communist ideal there is out there. It will scream racism, go after the police and alphabet agencies, cry social and environmental injustice, push demands for Islamic acceptance and Shariah law – and in the mix will be the ever-present Jew-hatred which is the kindling for their hatred. In this twisted case, the enemy of my enemy is my ally. For the short term anyway.

Taking the lead are primarily Black and Latino revolutionaries who claim to represent the movements for “black lives” and racial justice, who took a jaunt to Palestine to show solidarity against – you guessed it – Israel. Meet the Dream Defenders Palestine Delegation:

The Solution to the Growing Scourge of French Anti-Semitism

By Caroline Glick

January 16 is the nine-year anniversary of the beginning of the Ilan Halimi disaster.

On January 16, 2006, Sorour Arbabzadeh, the seductress from the Muslim anti-Jewish kidnapping gang led by Youssouf Fofana, entered the cellphone store where Halimi worked and set the honey trap.

Four days later, Halimi met Arbabzadeh for a drink at a working class bar and agreed to walk her home. She walked him straight into an ambush. Her comrades beat him, bound him and threw him into the trunk of their car.

They brought Halimi to a slum apartment and tortured him for 24 days and 24 nights before dumping him, handcuffed, naked, stabbed and suffering from third degree burns over two-thirds of his body, at a railway siding in Paris.

He died a few hours later in the hospital.

In an impassioned address to the French parliament on Tuesday, Prime Minister Manuel Valls gave a stirring denunciation of anti-Semitism, and demanded that his people stop treating it as someone else’s problem.

In his words, “Since Ilan Halimi in 2006… anti-Semitic acts in France have grown to an intolerable degree. The words, the insults, the gestures, the shameful attacks… did not produce the national outrage that our Jewish compatriots expected.”

Valls insisted that France needs to protect its Jewish community, lest France itself be destroyed.

“Without its Jews France would not be France, this is the message we have to communicate loud and clear. We haven’t done so. We haven’t shown enough outrage. How can we accept that in certain schools and colleges the Holocaust can’t be taught? How can we accept that when a child is asked, ‘Who is your enemy?’ the response is ‘The Jew?’ When the Jews of France are attacked France is attacked, the conscience of humanity is attacked. Let us never forget it.”

Valls words were uplifting. But it is hard to see how they change the basic reality that the Jews of France face.

Everything in this article is a lie – and that’s the truth

By Lawrence Sellin

It is difficult to write satire in a political-media environment that is delusional and corrupt. Satire is a comparative art, where, ultimately, truth is the basis of that comparison. When everything is a lie and reality is absurd, the similes and metaphors of satire lose their impact.

Conservative movement leaders have published a Citizen's Mandate, which outlines initiatives they want Republicans in Congress to take in order to "stop" Barack Obama's "fundamental transformation of America," something they say the American people made clear in the 2014 midterm elections with such decisive GOP victories.

According to Breitbart's Matthew Boyle, the major bullet points that the conservative leaders say the citizenry expects of Republicans include: an end to Obama's "promised ‘Fundamental Transformation' of the country," a stop to overreaches by the executive branch, a restoration of "Constitutional balance of power among the three branches of government," for Republicans to "bring an end to the perennially unpopular Affordable Care Act,"  to stop "the President's Executive Amnesty initiatives," while holding "the Executive branch accountable for its myriad abuses of power and its national security failures both foreign and domestic" and a new beginning that puts "the interests of the United States of America first among nations."

They are all sensible and laudable goals, yet they do not address the essence of the problem.

QOTD: "How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity.

The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities - but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome." --Sir Winston Churchill (The River War, first edition, Vol. II, pages 248-50 (London: Longmans, Green, 1899

DELIGHTFUL: Islamist Terror Group Operating 22 Training Facilities in the United States

The Conservative Tribune reports "that the FBI is aware of 22 Islamic 'communes' inside the United States. These are allegedly run by a Pakistani group known as Jamaat al-Fuqra, through a more friendly sounding organization called 'Muslims of the Americas' (MOA)."

According to the Clinton Department of State, the group called Jamaat ul-Fuqra is a terrorist organization.

Thanks, Mr. "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam" Obama!

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Smarter Than the Entire GOP Establishment

Because even the hyperactive Leftist understands Obama better than Boehner, McConnell and Rove.

What bothered me about him [today] he keeps talking about common ground. Damn it, there's very little common ground between left and right, but what there is is compromise. You do something for me on minimum wage, I'll do something for you in corporate tax reform. You give me something on corporate tax reform and I'll get rid of some of the loopholes or I'll do something on trade for you. He never talks about trading and compromising, he always talks about common ground. Well, damn it, you can not run a government on common ground.

He misses the main point of politics which is to be a politician and to trade. Okay, you want this? You want to take care of people who have been here illegally for 20, 30 years? Here's what I want. No more illegal hiring, and that's all in the Senate bill. But he won't sell the compromise. There's something in this guy that just plays to his constituency and acts like there is no other room out there. And that's going to be a collision at the end of this year like you have never seen. I do believe it will be like waving a red flag in front of the bull. I think Mitch McConnell is headed for a fight with the president.

Now I must admit this clip was picked up from RealClearPolitics because no one watches MSNBC. Seriously. Its ratings now hover between those of airport radar and the laundromat on E. 34th Street.

Here's one way the United States should emulate Saudi Arabia!

By Investor's Business Daily

Homeland Security: To keep out Islamic State terrorists, the Saudis are building a 600-mile-long barrier — complete with five layers of fencing, underground movement censors and radar cameras — on their northern border. If they can do it ...

Good fences, it is said, make for good neighbors, which on a grand scale was the intent of the Great Wall of China in antiquity and the Israeli fences of more recent vintage. Both were designed to keep out intruders and to make sure all guests were invited guests. Unlike the Berlin Wall, they were built to keep hostiles out, not citizens in.

As the threat of IS terrorism grew in Iraq and Syria, Saudi Arabia decided it might be a good idea to put such a barrier between its citizens and those who might want to kill them. Last September, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud initiated construction of a multilayered barrier that eventually will stretch along the entire Iraqi border from Kuwait to Jordan.

SECOND AMENDMENT NEWS: The Innovative Taurus Curve

I think the Taurus Curve represents a true breakthrough design for the handgun. And I'm in agreement with veteran gun-blogger Bob Owens of Bearing Arms (a winner of a 2014 Fabulous 50 Blog Award): the Curve is an extremely positive development for the Second Amendment because it makes concealed carry accessible to a new, large segment of the American population.

I’m going to say something that is probably going to get me laughed right out of the room.

The Taurus Curve is a brilliant pistol design.

For those of you who know me, I want to assure you that I’m not being the slightest bit glib or sarcastic.

Many of my peers in the industry—the vast majority of whom are far better shooters than I—think that the Taurus Curve may be the worst handgun ever to be brought to market. To them I say, “heck, it isn’t even the most horrible handgun brought to market by Taurus.”

These critics are making, I think, the mistake of thinking of the Curve as they would a traditional handgun, marketed to and purchased by a traditional shooter...

They are looking at the qualities that they would look for in a gun, based upon years of experience as shooters, with dozens of firearms through their hands ... They look for accuracy, reliability, durability, simplicity, quality, mantainability, and support.

...Frankly, whether the Curve is practical or it works for self-defense is utterly irrelevant. It isn’t going to be shot anyway... What matters is if the Curve will sell, and as Taurus has already proven with the stunning success of the Judge family of .45 Colt/.410 revolvers, they know how to market and sell tons of handguns that industry experts feel are absurd.

...The Taurus Curve is a gun designed to look like a fashion accessory and not a firearm, and is purposefully as chic and unoffensive as an iPhone...

But as absurd as they look, they may be the “gateway drug” to draw people into our gun culture.

I hope that Taurus is successful for that reason alone.

I disagree slightly with Owens in one respect. As CCW becomes more and more a part of American life (as it has for the last several decades), I believe this type of design -- one built around the needs of the typical American citizen, shooters and non-shooters alike -- will become widely adopted by manufacturers.

The typical firearm is difficult to carry without printing. The Curve fits a niche for that reason alone.

And at the rate CCW has been moving, I wouldn't be completely shocked if a federal Constitutional Carry law were enacted within the next couple of decades. A design like that of the Curve will, in my opinion, become standard fare for the civilian market.

QOTD: "Sex, in its proper form, is committed, loving, natural, and creative. Creative, in the sense that it can potentially give life. Sex is disordered if by its nature it can never give life. Notice the “by its nature” phrase. The nature of heterosexual sex is that it can create life. Whether a couple is infertile by physical defect or old age, that does not in principle change the nature of heterosexual sex. The other variety, in contrast, can never create. It is impotent in principle. Fruitless by design...

...These are the difficult, “controversial,” dangerous things that every Christian ought to be saying if they really care about Kelvin Cochran or anyone else who goes out on a limb to speak truth. You believe in your free speech? Great. Good for you. Now use it to say some things that might make people mad. Use it to upset the established order. Use it for something.

We as Christians may have a ways to go before we can win our culture back, but we’ll never get there if all we do is insist that we have a right to our opinions. Yes, we have a right to them. But, more importantly, we’re right about them. That’s the real message we should be sending." --Matt Walsh
