POLL: For First Time, Most Democrats View Insane, Failed, Murderous Political Philosophy Favorably

Over at Rasmussen, the pollsters have discovered that -- for the first time in history -- self-identified members of the Democrat Party now view socialism favorably.

The man currently running a distant second for the Democratic presidential nomination, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, is a self-declared socialist, and most of his party’s voters now have a positive view of socialism. They are almost evenly divided as to whether they like capitalism or socialism more.

Socialism, Communism, Maoism, and National Socialism (e.g., the Nazi Party) are all offshoots of Marxism. They are all branches of the same defective tree.

Marxism has failed in literally every venue it has been tried, despite progressives' laughable efforts to claim certain countries have implemented it successfully.

IMPRISONMENT, NOT IMPEACHMENT: What Rogue IRS Commissioner John Koskinen Really Deserves

By Daniel John Sobieski

The introduction of a resolution to impeach IRS commissioner John Koskinen should come as no surprise considering the lawlessness of the Obama administration and its use of the IRS to bludgeon its political opponents and the refusal by the DOJ to prosecute Lois Lerner for her political targeting of the Tea Party and other conservative political groups, as well as her destruction of evidence.

The resolution, introduced by .House Oversight Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), Rep. James Jordan (R-OH) and 18 other committee members, accuses Koskinen of making false statements under oath, failing to comply with a subpoena, and failing to notify Congress that key evidence was missing or destroyed. As they explained it to Fox News’ Sean Hannity:

EXPERT: Marco Rubio Misleading Voters, Plans to Open the Floodgates to Foreign Tech Workers

By Julia Hahn

Marco Rubio is trying to defend his unpopular effort to expand the controversial H-1B outsourcing program by claiming that he wants to protect American professionals from being replaced by low-wage foreign professionals.

In a Thursday morning radio interview, Rubio amped up the defensive claims he made at Wednesday night’s CNBC debate. Rubio said that he “proposed… reforms” that would prevent wealthy corporations from using foreign professionals as low-cost alternatives to experienced American professionals.

But Rubio’s claim is “an outright fabrication,” said Howard University’s Ron Hira, an expert on the H-1B outsourcing program. Rubio “has not included any such [anti-abuse] proposal in his bill, even though he had ample opportunity to do so.”

QOTD: "Carson has the highest favorables of any candidate in the GOP field. But…most analysis of Carson’s popularity from pundits focuses on his likable personality and his sincere Christian faith. But it’s intriguingly rare to hear people talk about the fact that he’s black. One could argue that he’s even more authentically African-American than Barack Obama, given that Obama’s mother was white and he was raised in part by his white grandparents…

He was a towering figure in the black community in Baltimore and nationally — at least, until he became a Republican politician. And that probably explains why his race seems to be such a non-issue for the media…

How strange it must be for people who comfort themselves with the slander that the GOP is a cult of organized racial hatred that the most popular politician among conservatives is a black man. Better to ignore the elephant in the room than account for such an inconvenient fact. The race card is just too valuable politically and psychologically for liberals who need to believe that their political opponents are evil." --Jonah Goldberg

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: Former Adviser Reveals Obama Wanted to Impress Muslims by Ditching Israel

By Daniel Greenfield

Jennifer Rubin has an excerpt from an interview with Dennis Ross, a former senior adviser to Obama.

"When the president comes in, he thinks we have a major problem with Arabs and Muslims. And he sees that as a function of the Bush administration — an image, fairly or not, that Bush was at war with Islam. So one of the ways that he wants to show that he’s going to have an outreach to the Muslim world is that he’s going to give this speech in Cairo. So he wants to reach out and show that the US is not so close to the Israelis, which he thinks also feeds this perception. That’s why there’s an impulse to do some distancing from Israel, and that’s why the settlement issue is seized in a way."

It's not news, but it is confirmation that Obama deliberately sought to alienate and distance Israel. And would have done so regardless of who was the Prime Minister of Israel.

MAP: Did your state silently absorb more Syrian Muslim Refugees (with likely ISIS infiltrators) this month?

By Ann Corcoran

The Obama Administration says they will resettle 10,000 Syrian refugees in the US in FY 2016 which began October 1. Here is a map showing where the first 187 Syrians have been placed (as of today)*. Two weeks ago, it had been only 51 (see here), but Kentucky is still the number one destination (here with 26).

Of the 187 admitted to the US this month, 183 are Sunni Muslims. There were 3 Catholics and 1 Christian. That is 98% Muslim. Last year the percentage of Muslims in the Syrian flow to America was 97%.

If Obama wants to get 10,000 in here in one year, they will surely have to step this up. I expect the slow start involves the problem they are having doing the security screening. He will have to get almost 900 a month in here to make his quota.

War of the Worlds

By Jim Quinn

“We know now that in the early years of the twentieth century this world was being watched closely by intelligences greater than man’s and yet as mortal as his own. We know now that as human beings busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinized and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might scrutinize the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. With infinite complacence men went to and fro over the earth about their little affairs … In the thirty-ninth year of the twentieth century came the great disillusionment. It was near the end of October. Business was better. The war scare was over. More men were back at work. Sales were picking up.” – Opening monologue of War of the Worlds broadcast – October 30,1938

It was 77 years ago this week that Orson Welles struck terror into the hearts of Americans with his live radio broadcast of the HG Wells classic War of the Worlds. The broadcast began at 8:00 pm on Mischief Night 1938. As I was searching for anything of interest to watch the other night on the 600 cable stations available 24/7, I stumbled across a PBS program about Welles’ famous broadcast. As I watched the program, I was struck by how this episode during the last Fourth Turning and how people react to events is so similar to how people are reacting during the current Fourth Turning. History may not repeat exactly, but it certainly rhymes.

I’M SICK OF THIS S***: Time for Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity to Moderate a GOP Debate

Writing at Breitbart, John Hayward points us to an excellent missive by the Ronald Reagan PAC imploring the Republican candidates to use real debate moderators.

...the Republican National Committee has chosen liberal moderators to handle the Republican presidential primary debates. To the surprise of nobody, the [CNBC] debate that ensued consisted of moderators insulting, demeaning and embarrassing the Republican candidates who participated.

Indeed, in the words of Reagan’s own Attorney General Ed Meese, “After 15 minutes it was clear that this was not a debate, but a verbal shooting gallery set up by CNBC, with the targets the Republican candidates and the shooters their biased antagonists from the press.”

...The Republican National Committee offered sanctioned debates to left-leaning networks such as NBC and CNN, yet offered nothing to actual conservative opinion leaders such as ... Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity ... and Mark Levin, who together influence more Republican primary voters than all the television networks combined. As a result, the past three debates have come across as reality television instead of a serious debate on the issues.

Hayward adds some compelling observations:

SICK: Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) Endangers Military by Playing Politics with Weapons Purchases

By Institute for Legislative Action

In 1995, Bob Dole said of Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), “[t]he most dangerous place is between him and a camera.”

Last Friday, Schumer publicly announced a plan to require bidders for a $580 million Department of Defense contract to supply the U.S. Army with handguns to submit to questioning regarding efforts to push a gun control agenda. The fact is, Schumer’s attempt to subject the vital fighting equipment of our nation’s servicemen and women to petty politics is nothing more than a cynical attempt to indulge his lust for press coverage, and is a reckless and dangerous threat to the safety of our service men and women.

The sole intent of the DOD procurement process should be to equip our fighting men and women with the best arms for their mission. To factor in the supplier’s willingness to kowtow to Schumer’s gun control demands alongside criteria such as accuracy and reliability risks supplying our troops with inferior equipment. Our soldier’s lives rely in part on the functional capability of their weapons, and to suggest that these soldiers should be used as a political pawn to enact gun control the Senator cannot achieve through our democratic process is reprehensible.

The specifics of the proposal are outlined in a letter from Schumer to Secretary of the Army John M. McHugh.

This Is What The "Invasion Of Europe" Looks Like

By Tyler Durden

On Monday, we brought you a series of still shots along with a video which depicted the scope of Europe’s migrant crisis via drone footage.

The point in highlighting the imagery was to demonstrate just how futile the EU’s effort to establish a series of refugee “holding camps” along the Balkan route to Germany is likely to be.

TED CRUZ GOES NUCLEAR ON GOPe: Mitch McConnell "Has Proven to be a Very Effective Democratic Leader"

By Kate Scanlon

In a speech Thursday on the Senate floor, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, sharply criticized the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015, a budget deal between former House Speaker John Boehner and President Barack Obama.

Cruz said the deal is yet another example of the failure of the “so-called Republican majority” to deliver on their promises to the American people.

“Now, if someone is an effective Democratic leader, you would expect them to be able to pass legislation when a majority of Democrats supported it and a majority of Republicans opposed it,” Cruz said. “Indeed, if you’re a partisan Democrat, that would be almost the definition of an effective Democratic leader.”

“Nineteen times in the last ten months this so-called Republican majority has passed legislation, has had a vote succeed where a majority of Democrats supported it and a majority of Republicans opposed it,” Cruz added.

Cruz said that Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., “has proven to be a very effective Democratic leader.”

SAY, IS THIS A CLINTON INITIATIVE? NY Obamacare Exchange Enrolls Hundreds Who Appear to be... Dead

By Rusty Weiss

An audit by the State Comptroller’s Office has revealed that hundreds of dead people were enrolled in New York’s health exchange, with nearly two dozen of them enrolling after death.

Medicaid payments totaling over $300,000 were paid out to a majority of the deceased individuals.

Via Politics on the Hudson:

A state audit Thursday found that New York’s health exchange enrolled hundreds of dead people at a $325,000 cost to taxpayers.

Between 2013 and 2014, the health exchange during its infancy improperly enrolled 354 deceased individuals that the state Health Department identified as active Medicaid recipients.

As a result, Medicaid inappropriately paid $325,030 in claims associated with 230 of the 354 deceased enrollees, Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli said in the audit.

The Times Union is reporting that of the 354, at least “21 of those people officially enrolled after they had died.”

It’s unclear what health services were provided for those not among the living...

MARCO RUBIO: Young, Stupid Americans Simply Incapable of Competing With Foreigners for Tech Jobs

By Julia Hahn

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) told a nationwide audience in Wednesday’s CNBC Republican presidential debate that companies are importing foreign graduates because American college grads just can’t do the work.

The claim came when CNBC’s John Hardwood asked Rubio if he was undercutting American professionals by supporting a bill to let companies import more foreign temporary H-1B “guest workers” for white-collar jobs. Rubio evaded the question by blaming Americans’ supposed lack of skills.

"We need to get back to training people in this country to do the jobs of the 21st century… The best way to close this gap is to modernize higher education so Americans have the skills for those jobs,” Rubio claimed. The “ideal scenario is to train Americans to do the work, so we don’t have to rely on people from abroad,” Rubio declared.

According to labor experts and U.S. census data, foreign workers are often used to replace employed American workers, and the U.S. labor market is now flooded with under-employed Americans hoping to pay off their college debts and earn a decent wage.

“It’s ironic that Rubio would basically blame American workers for not being skilled and trained [even though] American workers in his own state, who have the skills and were doing their job, were replaced by H-1B workers, who had less skills,” Howard University professor Ron Hira told Breitbart News.

COMFORTING: Obama Assures Americans He’s Really Not "Out to Take Everyone’s Guns Away"

By David Codrea

“Please do not believe this notion that I’m out to take everyone’s guns away,” Barack Obama pleaded in his Tuesday speech before the International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Conference in Chicago (watch here).

“Nobody is doing that. We’re talking about common sense measures to make sure criminals don’t get them.”

Actually, plenty of people are doing that, from increasing calls to repeal the Second Amendment to Hillary Clinton asserting the Supreme Court got it wrong when it ruled 2A an individual right, to Hillary and Obama himself entertaining Australian-style “gun control,” which entailed gun bans and government collection of firearms. That’s what “progressives” mean by “common sense measures.”

Next we need to look at who Obama was talking to. The globalist IACP is on record opposing citizen ownership of militia-suitable ammunition, firearms and body armor. They oppose efforts to roll back restrictions on the right to bear arms. They’re for enforcing existing Intolerable Acts, a “no guns” list, waiting periods, and ending private sales. And those are just the cards they’ve shown. For now.

It’s fitting the group met in Chicago, home of Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy, a monopoly of violence fanatic who has condemned gun owners for being politically active, and told them he’s training his guys to shoot first and ask questions later when encountering armed citizens. Bearing in mind that with “progressives,” every day is Opposite Day, we can see how that would be championed as a “common sense gun safety measure.”

So must be this revealing endorsement:

The Death of Central Banking in One Chart

By Tyler Durden

Perhaps "The Japanification of Monetary Policy" would have been a more appropriate title... "well it didn't work for them, so we should all try more of it" appears to be the repost of policy-makers worldwide which, inevitably, will lead to the total collapse of their credibility (and the every 'faith' of the world's investors shattered).

The most dangerous misconception about our criminal justice system

Earlier this week, Heather Mac Donald testified on criminal justice and the deincarceration movement before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

"The most dangerous misconception about our criminal justice system is that it is pervaded by racial bias"

Today I want to examine the broader political context of the Sentencing Reform and Corrections Act. We are in the midst of a national movement for deincarceration and decriminalization. That movement rests on the following narrative: America’s criminal justice system, it is said, has become irrationally draconian, ushering in an era of so-called “mass incarceration.” The driving force behind “mass incarceration,” the story goes, is a misconceived war on drugs. As President Barack Obama said in July in Philadelphia: “The real reason our prison population is so high” is that we have “locked up more and more nonviolent drug offenders than ever before, for longer than ever before.” In popular understanding, prisons and jails are filled with harmless pot smokers.

The most poisonous claim in the dominant narrative is that our criminal justice system is a product and a source of racial inequity. The drug war in particular is said to be infected by racial bias. “Mass incarceration” is allegedly destroying black communities by taking fathers away from their families and imposing crippling criminal records on released convicts. Finally, prison is condemned as a huge waste of resources.

Nothing in this dominant narrative is true.

Good Riddance To Johnny Lawnchair: The Fastest Fold On The Potomac

By David Stockman

There are few political hacks in Washington more deserving of everlasting ignominy than retiring speaker John Boehner. So here’s a vehement good riddance to the man who has single-handedly destroyed whatever pathetic semblance of fiscal responsibility that remained in Washington.

The so-called bipartisan budget deal he confected as a parting gesture doesn’t even deserve to be called a farce. It’s actually just an extension of Washington’s pathological lying to the American public about the monumental fiscal calamity now brewing.

The chart below shows the patented formula—– employed for the second time since the sequester mechanism was put in place during the debt ceiling crisis of 2011.

It will increase spending by $85 billion in the here and now by busting the FY 2016 and 2017 caps. This new red ink will then, purportedly, be off-set way down the road with gimmicks, imaginary IRS audit revenues and hazy disability benefit reforms which will never materialize. Never.

Indeed, these people are beyond shame.
