Marco Rubio Says He Won't Reveal His Position on ObamaTrade Until After the Primaries

By Julia Hahn

With the Iowa caucus less than two weeks away, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) is refusing to answer questions about how he would vote on the Trans-Pacific Partnership deal until after voters have gone to the polls.

Rubio’s decision to conceal his position from voters comes after he previously declared that TPP would be a foundational “pillar” of his hoped-for presidency if elected.

According to a report from the Tampa Bay Times, Rubio told reporters on Jan. 7 that he will not reveal his position on the very trade deal he voted to fast-track until May 18th— two months after Super Tuesday.

QOTD: ...the next president will immediately be confronted by the “fourth branch of government”— the administrative state...

...With Donald Trump as the front-runner, [whether he would go to war with the administrative state is a question] he needs to answer. He has recently extolled his ability to work with people and cut deals. He has decried the gridlock in Washington. The problem with that mentality is that if you are looking for efficiency instead of principle, as many businessmen are often inclined to do, the path to least resistance is to work with the administrative state instead of going to war with it. And that would render the presidency worthless, especially following Obama’s fundamental transformation of an already-imbalanced administrative state.

Trump has captured the minds of many conservatives with his promises to enforce our immigration laws and sovereignty. But if he is committed to cutting deals in order to avoid gridlock, nowhere will his agenda be rendered more worthless than in the realm of immigration enforcement." --Daniel Horowtiz

OBAMA ARMED EL CHAPO WITH .50 CAL: Media Ignore Yet Another Fast and Furious Outrage

By Roger Aronoff

The liberal media avoid reporting on President Obama’s many scandals at any cost, and Fast and Furious is no exception. Despite the media’s studied avoidance of these scandals, their impact continues. When Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents discovered that a weapon from Fast and Furious was found in Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman’s Mexican hideout, there was virtual silence from the mainstream media.

FLINT: The Democrats' Filthy Water

By Daniel Greenfield

Mayor Dayne Walling, a Democrat, led a cheerful countdown at the Flint water treatment plant to press the button moving the city over to river water. Walling and Darnell Earley, the Democratic emergency manager, even raised glasses in a toast and drank the water to show that it was safe.

“It’s a historic moment for the city of Flint to return to its roots and use our own river as our drinking water supply,” Walling said. “The water quality speaks for itself.”

QOTD: "In the process of granting review of the decision, by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, invalidating the Obama administration’s immigration guidance granting de facto (albeit revocable) legal status to hundreds of thousands of undocumented residents of the United States, the Supreme Court unleashed a bombshell. Without any explicit request from the parties, the court added the following question for review: “Whether the Guidance violates the Take Care Clause of the Constitution, Art. II, §3.”

This is a stunning development. The clause states that “[The President] shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” This is the first time, to my knowledge, that the Supreme Court, maybe any court, has suggested that the Take Care Clause is justiciable (i.e., that the president’s (in)actions are subject to judicial review under the clause). I’m not sure that any Supreme Court litigant has ever even seriously pursued an argument under the clause." --David Bernstein

An open letter to Fareed Zakaria from The People's Cube

By The People's Cube

Fareed Zakaria can dish it out but can't take it

CNN host Fareed Zakaria is now calling to censor social media because he was offended by The People's Cube satire about his writings. Without mentioning that our satire was a hyperbolic buildup on his own recent writings, Zakaria cries for government protection of his hurt feelings, making it clear that he can dish it out but can't take it. Taste your own medicine, Fareed.

WHERE IS THE INDICTMENT???

By Karl Denninger

If anyone else had done any of what Hillary has done, they'd already be in the dock and probably already have had their trial.  They certainly wouldn't be running for President.

Fox News exclusively obtained the text of the unclassified letter, sent Jan. 14 from Intelligence Community Inspector General I. Charles McCullough III. It laid out the findings of a recent comprehensive review by intelligence agencies that identified "several dozen" additional classified emails -- including specific intelligence known as "special access programs" (SAP).

That is far more-serious than "garden-variety" classified data.

But I would gladly vote for Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton or any other Democrat. He has bested the consultant class at its own game for now and the only one giving him a run for his money is Ted Cruz who, like Trump, has refused to use the D.C. political class to advance in the field.

Whether Trump makes it out of Iowa the winner or not, Republicans will owe Trump thanks for exposing their fault lines and flaws and showing just how inept, corrupt, and out to lunch the Washington Republican consultant class has become." --Erick Erickson

NEW HILLARY EMAILS CONFIRM: Democrats to Nominate First Openly Socialist Presidential Candidate

About two weeks ago, I wrote that we should "Stick a fork in Hillary, because she's done."

In that particular case, emails revealed that then-Secretary of State Clinton had instructed aides to strip classification headers from secure documents and send them over insecure channels. Which, by my count, was felony #336 committed by Ms. Clinton and her aides, who conspired to co-mingle State Department, Clinton Foundation transactions, and related criminal activity using a private email server that operated outside public scrutiny.

Today's news really does mean the demise of Clinton's campaign. The intelligence community's inspector general reported to Congress that he "had discovered “several dozen” classified emails, including messages containing what’s known as 'special access programs' (SAP) information":

FLASHBACK AUGUST 2015: "Sarah Palin Endorses Donald Trump After He Promises To Give Her Power, Relevancy"

Today's report that Sarah Palin has endorsed Donald Trump appears to be somewhat dated.

On August 14th of last year, Kit O'Connell reported that Palin had endorsed Trump "[after he] recently promised to give ... Palin a Cabinet-level position in his administration."

HONEST DON: "Trump Lies About 2000 Call for Assault Weapons Ban" --Robert Farago

The, eh, more passionate Trump supporters are alive and well and living in the comments section of this blog, buzzing with conspiracy theories and stories of Cruz's changes in policy positions. That's fine. As I've said countless times before, I would support Donald Trump in the general against a Democrat, because I'd support Dennis Rodman or Porky Pig against a Democrat.

With that said, any policy position Ted Cruz has ever altered pales in comparison with Mr. Trump's earlier support of assault weapons bans, extended waiting periods to purchase firearms, partial-birth abortions, and gay marriage. Trump's acolytes insist that the year 2000 was a very long time ago. So let's ignore the fact that Trump endorsed an open Communist -- Bill DeBlasio -- for mayor of New York in 2013, stating that he's a "smart guy" who will be "a good mayor". No, let's skip that point for the moment.

Instead, let's reflect upon Mr. Trump's more recent willingness to openly lie to the firearms media about his past support for restrictions on the Second Amendment. As The Truth About Guns' Robert Farago noted a few months ago:

GRAVITAS: Can Mr. Trump’s Supporters Help Me Understand His 24-hour, 180˚ Turnabout Over the Weekend?

After months of complimenting his rival for the GOP nomination, Senator Ted Cruz, Donald Trump engaged in a weekend of diatribes, insults and name-calling that was truly and spectacularly bizarre:

If you are like most ordinary Americans, you probably spent the weekend watching the NFL playoffs, or spending time with your family, or trying to avoid the freezing cold that gripped most of the country. You know, anything other than watching the Democrats “debate” or the political nonsense on Twitter and the cable shows.

Which is regrettable, because people who were paying attention finally got to see what The Donald is like...

Is This the Most Terrifying Photo of 2015?

Aside from a terrific economy, the next president of the United States will inherit a delightful global security landscape.

Red China is building islands in the Pacific and threatening its neighbors. Russia annexed Crimea and portions of Ukraine after Hillary's infamous "Reset" stunningly failed to strike a chord with Vladimir Putin.

"SLAVE LABOR": Hillary Confidante Cheryl Mills Pushes Manufacturing in Ghana with its 23¢ Minimum Wage

By Richard Pollock

Cheryl D. Mills, long-time friend and confidant of Bill and Hillary Clinton, is promoting a 23 cents-an-hour wage in the West African nation of Ghana to lure textile and apparel industry companies to invest there even as the former secretary of state advocates a $15-an-hour “livable wage” here.

Mills’ newly formed firm, the BlackIvy Group, LLC., makes the pitch with a powerpoint presentation that was obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Return to Dachau

By Baron Bodissey

After seventy years, a camp has been opened again at Dachau.

But it’s not the kind of camp that was there in 1943. No, not at all.

Now the German staff wait on the Untermenschen who have been welcomed into Germany. They cater to their every need and never punish them, no matter the seriousness of the crime. Now the residents of the camp can spend their time watching TV, and may eat as many meals as they want. Now the guards at the camp are required to act as the servants of the “refugees”.

THE ULTIMATE BIRTHER BIBLE: Because Trump "is unable to engage Cruz on matters of actual substance"

Who are the Constitutional scholars and legal experts that assert, in no uncertain terms, that Ted Cruz (the son of an American citizen) is eligible to run for President?

I mean, besides the legal experts Donald Trump consulted months ago before the polls tightened and he changed his tune.

For starters:

CRUZ TAKES THE HIGH ROAD: Trump Booed in South Carolina After Caustic Insults of Texas Senator

By Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

Donald Trump had a literal meltdown on Twitter issuing a bizarre series of personal insults, screeds, and disjointed attacks on Ted Cruz. I guess the honeymoon is over. Too bad, they would have gone well together. Ted Cruz mocked him for it. His retort was epic:
