Trump's Cult of Personality

By Richard Larsen

The most disturbing aspect to the Donald Trump candidacy is not the empty rhetoric, non-substantive solutions, or even his brash politically-incorrect style. The most disturbing aspect of his candidacy is what it says about so many of our fellow citizens. A veritable personality cult is developing around the GOP frontrunner rivaling that of the Democrat nominee from four and eight years ago. And it’s just as speciously founded.

Some assert that the Trump bandwagon is reshaping the Republican Party. Some go even further and claim that his candidacy is simply bringing out sordid and ignoble characteristics of the party that have been heretofore more latent and simmering under the veneer surface of decency. Such characterizations are erroneous.

SHE THINKS DEMOCRATS ARE VERY, VERY STUPID: Hillary Continues Shrieking Her "No Classified Emails" Lies

By America Rising

During Monday's Fox News town hall, Hillary Clinton repeated her outrageous claims that her private email server contained no classified material. Perhaps she could inform the FBI, the State Department, and various Inspectors General, which have designated more than 2,000 emails as classified, including 104 sent by Clinton herself, and 22 with a TOP SECRET designation.

During the town hall, Secretary Clinton faced a series of withering questions about her private email server. Among them was a quote from last year, in which Clinton claimed her private server contained no classified material.

QOTD: "...most of the Republican establishment sees illegal immigration not as legality or illegality, right or wrong, chaos or order, but only in terms of electoral politics. Discomfort with illegal immigration is mostly an abstraction, one that Trump yahoos and “nativists” and “xenophobes” whine about—and by such whining supposedly undermine the future demographic visions of beltway handlers...

...Because Trump anger is not about consistency on the issues, but raw emotion, refuting Trump by rationally exposing the myriad of his hypocrisies and vulgarities has not so far won over too many of his supporters. That might have been easily possible a year ago, had a candidate tried to infuse some passion into a workable agenda and shown some affinity with those who are otherwise written off as Ice Road Truckers or Ax Men embarrassments. Or had a candidate far earlier, as Rubio apparently is now, been willing to blow up his campaign by descending to Trump’s crude level and in kamikaze fashion trading repugnant Trumpian smears, blow for blow. Or had a Kasich, Carson, or Bush far earlier bowed out.

But at least for a while longer, millions of Republicans and lots of Reagan Democrats would gladly prefer to be wrong with Trump than right with anyone else." --Victor Davis Hanson

No, Donald Trump Isn't Going to Build a Wall

'Build the Wall' is the new 'Hope and Change'

Let me say from the outset that I am not a member of the crypto-Democrats masquerading as Republicans or conservatives under the banner of #NeverTrump.

While I often agree with the likes of Erick Erickson and Jim Geraghty, their rationale for withholding support for a potential Trump nominee defies all logic and reason.

In effect, abstaining from a presidential election provides tacit assistance to the ultra-radicalized Democrat Party. Their inaction might help move a pantsuited crime boss or a Marxist kook to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

The cries of the Crypto-Democrats revolve around several dubious claims:

QOTD: "“Trump and Clinton Feast as 12 States Vote,” screamed the front-page headline of the New York Times, but it should have continued to say “but Trump collected only about 43% of the delegates yesterday.”

In Texas, Senator Cruz (44%) crushed Mr. Trump (27%) and Senator Rubio (18%), taking about two-thirds of the 155 delegates in the biggest contest of the night. Senator Rubio got no Texas delegates, since he did not make the 20% threshold. Mr. Cruz’s 17% margin over Donald Trump was one of the biggest winning margins of the night.

“The ceiling” reappeared. Mr.Trump broke through 40% in only two states, Alabama (42%) and Massachusetts (49%), the ultra-liberal Bay State — go figure." --Red Jahncke

Mr. Rove was on the O’Reilly Factor Wednesday evening and was asked by Bill O’Reilly why he doesn’t like Donald Trump.

BOOM: Huge New Developments in Clinton Email Scandal

By Abdul X. Abercrombie

Two extremely significant stories broke today in The Washington Post and The New York Times regarding the FBI's investigation into the Hillary Clinton email scandal. The deep-fat fryer is just heating up. Both stories are excerpted below, but here are the key new pieces of information:

• Bryan Pagliano, the IT employee who set up Clinton’s server and pled the 5th to avoid cooperating with investigators was granted immunity for cooperating.

• What the Clinton campaign has called a “security review,” but according to both reports, the FBI investigation has become criminal in nature. One official told The Post “There was wrongdoing.”

DEMOCRAT LEADERSHIP SUCCESS STORY #70 BAJILLION: 30 Blocks of Ya Gotta See It to Believe It

By Jim Quinn

I got frustrated Monday morning on the Schuylkill Expressway when traffic ground to a halt just before City Line Avenue. I impulsively got off at City Line Avenue and traveled up to Belmont Ave. I took Belmont through Fairmount Park (where dead bodies are found on a regular basis) to Girard Avenue. After making the left on Girard, you enter a land time forgot, along with hammers, brooms, paint brushes, trash cans, marriage licenses, school books or condoms. This stretch of West Philly makes the area around the zoo seem like paradise.

The vacant, trash strewn, weed infested lots along this decaying stretch of squalor are the highlight of the trip. There are a couple bars, nail salons, and daycare centers (can you imagine the “care” the children receive). But for the most part it’s unadulterated ghetto, with garbage blowing along the ancient trolley tracks like sage brush in the old west.

Marco Rubio Has a Second Amendment Problem

By Tim Macy

When Marco Rubio was a local commissioner in Florida in 1999, he voted to ban guns from local parks.

Now, politicians make mistakes. And honest politicians “fess up” and move on.

Rubio's problem is that, when Senator Ted Cruz called attention to Rubio's anti-gun vote, Marco’s response was to call Cruz a “liar.” This was part of a larger narrative in which Donald Trump and Rubio were hurling “pants on fire” insults at Cruz.

But when Rubio disavowed his 1999 anti-gun vote -- falsely accusing Ted Cruz of Rubio's own sins -- he made a serious mistake.

QOTD: "Donald Trump comes out of Super Tuesday with the clearest path to the Republican presidential nomination, but the complicated delegate math suggests there's still a decent chance of denying him the delegates needed to become the GOP standard bearer.

To be sure, unless the race changes dramatically, it's very unlikely that Sens. Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Gov. John Kasich or Ben Carson could win the nomination outright. This means that the most plausible path for beating Trump involves a contested convention in which the primaries end without any candidate having secured the required majority of delegates. At a convention, after the first or second round of voting, most delegates become unbound and can vote for any candidate – and it doesn't have to be anybody from the current field of contenders.

But that path largely hinges on Trump losing both Kasich's Ohio and Rubio's Florida. Were that to happen, not only would it become more difficult to rack up and the field remaining crowded enough to prevent Trump from racking up big delegate victory margins." --Philip Klein

SPLORT: Hillary Caught Raising Money From Ex-NRA Lobbyist

By Walid Maktoub

What do hedge fund managers, companies engaging in corporate inversions, and the NRA all have in common? Hillary Clinton publicly bashes them on the campaign trail while taking money from them or their associates in private. It’s all another reminder that double standards are the standard for Hillary Clinton’s campaign and that she will do or say anything to get elected.

More on Clinton’s latest fundraising hypocrisy below:

QOTD: "If you revere the Constitution, you have but one choice in the GOP primary.

If you want to defeat Hillary Clinton and the metastasizing evil that is the modern Democrat Party, you have but one choice.

If you want to ensure we build an originalist Supreme Court steeped in American history, tradition and values, you have but once choice.

If you want someone who will occupy the Oval Office and keep his promises -- no matter how much the crony establishment squeals -- you have but one choice.

If you want to save this Republic for future generations, you have but one choice: Ted Cruz." --Me, just now
