WARMAL COLDING: Trump Contradicts "Settled Science" On Climate Change Or Something

By William Teach

The media members of the Cult of Climastrology are Outraged!

Contradicting settled science, Donald Trump says “nobody really knows” on climate change

Donald Trump said again on Sunday that he is “open-minded” about climate change — but also that “nobody really knows” the truth about the issue, which contradicts the fact that there is near-universal scientific agreement on the issue.

In an interview with “Fox News Sunday,” moderator Chris Wallace pointed out to Mr. Trump that in the space of a week he both met with former Vice President Al Gore and appointed Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, a climate change denier who has opposed many environmental regulations, to head the Environmental Protection Agency. Where, Wallace asked, does Mr. Trump stands on climate change?

#FAKENEWS: Mainstream Media Claims Russia Hacked U.S. Election, Offers Absolutely No Proof

By AntiMedia

The CIA on Friday leaked a memo to the Washington Post “concluding” that Russia meddled in the U.S. election to help President-elect Donald Trump win — but any evidence supporting that finding remains secret.

Anonymous sources told the Post that “the CIA has concluded in a secret assessment that Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win the presidency, rather than just to undermine confidence in the U.S. electoral system.” They said intelligence agencies “identified individuals with connections to the Russian government who provided WikiLeaks with thousands of hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and others, including Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman.”

Yet with the “secret assessment” still hidden, the seeming confirmation boils down to little more than claims by unnamed officials.

QOTD: "Tell you what. If we're going to start having election do-overs, let's look at having a Barack Obama-John McCain rematch. After all, we know that the 2008 election was influenced by something far worse than foreign-inspired disinformation (from the left's perspective until about five weeks ago). It was proactively influenced in Barack Obama's favor by millions of dollars in foreign money in the form of illegal contributions made to a campaign which deliberately disabled mechanisms designed to prevent such contributions from occurring. We'll never know if Obama would have won with a level playing field unless we do it all over again. (It will surprise no one that there was virtually no media interest in this very genuine story in 2008.)" --Tom Blumer

HELPFUL CHART: The People's Guide to #FakeNews

By The People's Cube

The FCC has adopted a new certification system that separates all news into two clear categories: "fake news" and "truthful news." Additionally, a new law will require all media to display FCC labels to identify their classification. This will alert readers in advance whether they are looking at a genuine government-approved source of must-read truthful news, or they're reading some idiotic concoction of a madman with an unhealthy fixation on the so-called rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Obviously, anything based on such a false, backward premise qualifies as "fake news."

Until all news sources have been properly certified and labeled with FCC badges, readers are advised to follow this helpful chart.

GETTING IN BED WITH GOVERNMENT: Cronies, Kleptomaniacs and Criminals

By Jim Quinn

The recent deal to keep Carrier jobs in the United States is not at all unusual. It only received so much press because Trump made it a campaign issue and saw an opportunity to record a big early PR victory before he even took office. Government and corporations cooperate, negotiate deals, scratch each others backs, kickback ill-gotten gains, and function as a career advancement funnel for corrupt politicians.

In reality, the intertwining of government and big business meets the definition of fascism. A centralized autocratic government that picks winners and losers, while suppressing un-favored companies or industries, meets the definition of fascism. Fascists let business remain in private hands, but use regulations, laws, tax benefits, and the distribution of goodies to control the economy. Big business serves politicians and government bureaucrats instead of their customers.

QOTD: "The Democrats may be effectively locked out of power in all three branches of government for years. At the state level, after last month’s elections, they’ll control only 16 governorships and 13 legislatures. This year, punctuated by Hillary Clinton’s loss, exposed the remarkably shallow depth of the Democratic bench. The size of the Republican primary field — for which the GOP was relentlessly mocked — was also a sign of the party’s health up and down the ballot. Democrats simply didn’t have the political talent to put forward 17 candidates (or even seven). That’s partly because there’s been limited opportunity to move up in the leadership ranks. Pelosi (Calif.) and Reps. Steny H. Hoyer (Md.) and James E. Clyburn (S.C) have had a death grip on the party’s top congressional slots for a very long time. It’s also partly because the Democratic farm system is hurting." --Chris Cillizza

MICHAEL FLYNN: What He Means for Trump's Foreign Policy

By Caroline Glick

In the US and around the world, people are anxiously awaiting US President-elect Donald Trump’s announcement of his choice to serve as secretary of state. There is no doubt that Trump’s choice for the position will tell us a great deal about the direction his foreign policy is likely to take.

But the fact is that we already have sufficient information to understand what his greatest focus will be.

Trump’s announcement last week that he has selected Marine General James Mattis to serve as his defense secretary is a key piece of the puzzle.

IGNORED: The One Hillary Campaign Insider Who Warned That She Would Lose to Trump

By Blake Neff

A major figure in Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign warned she was in danger of losing the election days before the vote, but was ignored by the rest of her staff, a new write-up in Politico says.

Glenn Thrush has published a massive piece, “10 Crucial Decisions That Reshaped America,” detailing the key decision points in the 2016 campaign that led to President-elect Donald Trump’s surprising ultimate victory. But buried near the end of the article is a compelling anecdote about the hubris in the Clinton camp that brought about her final defeat.

In the last days of the campaign, Clinton was the overwhelming favorite according to most experts. Polls showed her with a consistent lead in key states, and several advanced forecasters regarded her chances of victory as 90 percent or more. Even FiveThirtyEight, the most pessimistic major forecaster, said Clinton’s chances were greater than 70 percent.

Clinton’s campaign largely shared this optimism, Thrush says, with the exception of one person.

MAJOR EARTHQUAKES HIT BOTH SIDES OF THE PACIFIC: Ground Could ‘Unzip All At Once’

By Michael Snyder

Why is our planet shaking so violently all of a sudden? There have literally been dozens of significant earthquakes right along the Ring of Fire within the past 30 days, and two giant ones made headlines all over the globe on Thursday. First, a magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck off the coast of Humboldt County, California, and that was followed later in the day by a magnitude 7.8 earthquake in the Solomon Islands. But of course these latest earthquakes are just the latest examples of increased shaking along the outer perimeter of the Pacific Ocean. Experts are not quite sure what to make of all of this shaking, but they are warning that “the Big One” could strike the west coast at literally any time.

SANCTUARY: Rahm Emanuel Begs Donald Trump For Mercy

By Matthew Vadum

Chicago is one of the best places to live in America if you’re one of the millions of illegal aliens present in the country -- and free-spending, lawbreaking Mayor Rahm Emanuel is trying his best to keep it that way.

Emanuel (D), who used to be a congressman and then President Obama’s chief of staff, dropped by Trump Tower in New York on Wednesday to urge President-elect Donald Trump to abandon his campaign promise to crack down on sanctuary cities.

“I also spoke out strongly about what it means to be a sanctuary city who will support and secure the people who are here, like my grandfather who came to the city of Chicago as a 13-year old 100 years ago,” said Emanuel who actually has no real bargaining power in the equation because he’s on the wrong side of the law.

ANGELA MERKEL: Germans Must Learn to Integrate With Immigrants

By Baron Bodissey

Below is an excerpt from a speech given by German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the CDU (Christian Democrats) party congress on December 6th, when she announced her intention to run for re-election as chancellor next year.

It’s hard to believe the amount of applause she receives. And look at the ecstatic faces of her supporters in the CDU!

Amazingly enough, instead of dragging her out of her limo and administering summary justice on the street, the German people — or rather, “people who have lived in Germany for a long time” — actually VOTE for her. Over and over again.

Mass insanity is the only explanation I can think of for such suicidal behavior.

HEY: The Electoral College Worked!

Interesting observation from Al Bundy:
And let's not even get started on the rampant, systemic vote fraud and the fact that untold millions of illegal aliens and dead citizens are stealing the American franchise. My guess? An accurate ecount of legitimate voters would reveal a Trump landslide.

OOPS: Michigan Recount Appears to Expose Industrial-Scale Democrat Vote Fraud

By Ted Goodman

Over half of Detroit’s 662 voting precincts may be ineligible for the ongoing Michigan recount, since the number of ballots in precinct poll books do not match those from voting machine printout reports.

More than a third of precincts in Wayne County, Michigan’s largest county and home to Detroit, could be disqualified from the statewide recount because county officials, “couldn’t reconcile vote totals for 610 of 1,680 precincts during a countywide canvass of vote results late last month,” according to the Detroit News.

QOTD: "Public policy is about trade-offs. In a liberal democracy, the people, through their representatives, wrangle over these trade-offs and arrive at a compromise that satisfies most people well enough to keep the peace. Logic is not what drives these deliberations. Tradition, culture and vested interests play the leading roles. Smart people know how to create a better health system, for example, but getting everyone to go along with it is impossible.

Technocracy has no mechanism for this. It is the sterile decision making of bureaucrats insulated from the consequences of their policy choices. The managerial state has the added defect of bestowing a form of tenure on its members. No matter how much they screw up, they never lose anything but some face. That has even gone by the wayside. Jamie Gorelick is a colossal screw-up, but she keeps getting better gigs after each debacle. Hillary Clinton came close to falling all the way up into the White House." --The Z Man

Carrier and the Slippery Slope

By Jim Quinn

“Companies are not going to leave the United States anymore without consequences.” – Donald Trump

The reaction to Trump’s deal to keep 1,100 Carrier jobs in Indiana has ranged from outrage to adoration. There are so many layers to this Shakespearean drama that all points of views have some level of credence. I’m torn between the positive and negative aspects of this deal. If you’ve read Bastiat’s The Law and Hazlitt’s Economics in One Lesson, you understand the fallacies involved when government interferes in the free market. Politicians and their fanboys always concentrate on the seen aspects of government intervention, but purposely ignore the unseen consequences.
