SEMI-BREAKING: United Airlines Unveils New Slogan as Part of Re-branding Campaign

Spotted on Insty
Seems appropos. Shockingly, the United passenger captured on video getting smacked around has lawyered up and will likely "re-accommodate" the airline in court.

UNEXPECTEDLY: Rex Tillerson Not Nearly as Cozy with Russia as Senile Old Media Predicted

By Will Racke

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has emerged as the point man for the Trump administration’s confrontational approach to Russia, a repudiation of widespread media hand-wringing that he would be a pushover in negotiations with Moscow.

Tillerson’s hard line on Russia contrasts previous reports suggesting he would bend over backward to mollify Russian President Vladimir Putin with whom he has ties after 10 years as the CEO of ExxonMobil.

A December report from Time called President Donald Trump’s nomination of Tillerson a move the could “hardly have been more perfect if the Kremlin itself had scripted it.” Time wondered if Tillerson, carrying a “reputation as an unsentimental dealmaker,” would reshape American diplomacy and acquiesce to Russia’s desire for America to stop putting “principles ahead of profits.”

CRICKETS: Proof That Obama Spied on Trump -- Vindicating Mark Levin -- Curiously Ignored by Vintage Media

By Nate Madden

Almost six weeks ago this Thursday, Mark Levin began asking questions about the Obama administration’s alleged surveillance of the Trump campaign and/or transition team. Now, there’s absolutely no question it occurred.

On his Wednesday evening radio show, the Conservative Review editor-in-chief took the “praetorian guard” media to task for their “cover up” coverage of the Obama surveillance scandal, following a bombshell Tuesday revelation from the Washington Post that the Obama administration obtained a FISA warrant last summer to snoop on former Trump adviser Carter Page.

The revelation puts a gratuitous amount of egg on the faces of reporters and media outlets who have done little more than try to downplay the scandal since it started over a month ago.

THE TRUMP EFFECT: China Threatens to Eradicate North Korea’s Nuclear Facilities

By Tyler Durden

With everyone putting down new and/or revised "red lines", be it on Syria or North Korea, it was now China's turn to reveal its "red" or rather "bottom line", and in a harshly worded editorial titled "The United States Must Not Choose a Wrong Direction to Break the DPRK Nuclear Deadlock on Wednesday" Beijing warned it would attack North Korea's facilities producing nuclear bombs, effectively engaging in an act of war, if North Korea crosses China's "bottom line."

On CRTV’s “LevinTV” Friday, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin said that Americans should thank President Trump for his decisive leadership on Syria. According to a CBS News poll, a majority of the American people — 57 percent — approve of Friday’s missile strike on a Syrian air base.

TRUMPOPHOBIA: Democrats Enter Area 51 Territory

By Bruce Thornton

The Democrats and some Republican NeverTrump bitter-enders are still so addled by losing the election that they have lost themselves in a political Area 51. Like peddlers of space-alien autopsies and earthling abductions, they are spinning preposterous conspiracy theories straight out of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, while the real story––the illegal leaks of classified intelligence involving American citizens––is ignored.

We all know the lurid scenario: Vladimir Putin, filled with hatred of Hillary for criticizing and sanctioning him for his invasions of his neighbors’ territories, “hacked” the election in order to tilt the outcome to Donald Trump. Trump, after all, said some vaguely nice things about Vlad during the campaign, and most likely has secret dodgy business interests in Russia. Several of Trump’s friends probably do too, and so they cooperated with Russian intelligence, its WikiLeaks minions, and its propaganda rag Russia Today to smear Hillary and the Democrats. And, don’t forget, it’s likely Vlad has some embarrassing untoward info on Trump he can use to blackmail the president. QED.

AMAZING: Consumer Electronics From Half a Century Ago

So I was helping clean up the residence of an elderly relative and came across some fascinating examples of early consumer electronics.

Top: The Zenith Space Commander Three Hundred is reportedly the first-ever, wireless television remote control. It "used mechanical switches underneath its four buttons that sent out ultrasound in different frequencies... A receiver on the television used those frequences to change the channel and the volume."

It was introduced about 60 years ago (circa 1956).

MARVELOUS: #FakeNews Purveyors Snopes and Politifact Now Adjudicating #FakeNews for Google

By Eric Lieberman

Google rolled out a new feature Friday for its search browser, which uses media outlets like Politifact and Snopes to help combat “fake news.”

After inputting a search query on the tech conglomerate’s platform, a user is shown results with “fact checks for one or more public claims” or news stories.

“The snippet will display information on the claim, who made the claim, and the fact check of that particular claim,” Justin Kosslyn, product manager of Jigsaw, Google’s technology incubator, and Cong Yu, a research scientist, wrote on an official Google blog post. “As we make fact checks more visible in Search results, we believe people will have an easier time reviewing and assessing these fact checks, and making their own informed opinions.”

QOTD: "President Trump did more than retaliate for Bashar al-Assad's illegal and inhumane use of nerve agents against civilians when he ordered the launch of 59 Tomahawk missiles to destroy al-Shayrat airbase in Syria. He also detonated a few shibboleths of his predecessor's foreign policy.

First is the idea that President Obama's 2013 deal to remove Assad's weapons of mass destruction was a success. Susan Rice and John Kerry have lauded the agreement with Russia to supervise the extraction and destruction of Assad's weapons stockpiles as recently as the last year. But Assad's brazen attack on civilians in Idlib Province exposed their celebrations as premature. Trump's swift, decisive, and limited response ended more than a half decade of vacillation toward's Assad's behavior. Obama diplomacy failed, but hard power may yet deter Assad from using weapons banned for almost a century.

The second casualty of the U.S. strike was the absurd Obama line that the only alternatives available to a president are inaction on one hand and a massive ground invasion and occupation on the other." --Matthew Continetti

HEY, DUMMIES: Still think Trump is bought and paid for by the Russians?

By Gaston

Given the momentous events in the past 24 hours on Syria wanted to let you know that CRTV made tonight’s episode of LevinTV free. Its linked below.

During the program, Levin addresses the narrative that President Trump is a stooge or a patsy for the Russian government.

The president’s actions and all the evidence clearly shows that is not the case. “Do you think Vladimir Putin is happy right now that Donald Trump was elected president of the United States?” Levin asks.

“Do you think Donald Trump is bought and paid for by the Russians, based on what he did yesterday?”

QOTD: "Even those who oppose Judge Gorsuch used to sing a different tune about the standards for judicial confirmation. For instance, the senior senator from California put it best when she said: "I think when it comes to filibustering a Supreme Court appointment, you really have to have something out there, whether it's gross moral turpitude or something that comes to the surface." Speaking of a previous Republican president's nominee, she further said, "Now, I mean, this is a man I might disagree with. That doesn't mean he shouldn't be on the court."

In fact, President Obama filibustered a Supreme Court nomination while he was a senator, yet later expressed regret over that decision. He said, "I think that, historically, if you look at it, regardless of what votes particular senators have taken, there's been a basic consensus, a basic understanding, that the Supreme Court is different. And each caucus may decide who's going to vote where and what but that basically you let the vote come up, and you make sure that a well-qualified candidate is able to join the bench, even if you don't particularly agree with them."" --Sen. Tom Cotton
