The Deep State Wraps Its Protective Cocoon Around Hillary Clinton

By Rush Limbaugh

Question: Now that the Republicans control all three branches of government, my question is really simple. Why is it that when organizations have sued the Justice Department and State Department — I’m, of course, speaking of Judicial Watch here — for documents related to Hillary Clinton, Benghazi and all of the other Obama scandals... why is it that State and Justice are so slow in releasing the documents that the judges have ordered to be released?

And if it is the deep state that you talk about, then why isn’t Secretary Tillerson and Attorney General Sessions getting in there and kicking some tail to get this information out?

NSFW: Unless You’re a Senator

By Valyrian

It’s Day Four of Sen. Bob Menendez’s (D-NJ) felony bribery and corruption trial, and the foreign girlfriends of his wealthy Medicare-defrauding donor are testifying about how Menendez used his official office to get them visas. Yesterday, we learned Menendez ordered a former staffer to “call Ambassador asap” to push visas through for these “bombshells.”

New York Post: Getting these beauties visas was high on Menendez’s to-do list: aide. “Things to do for a busy US senator: ‘Cuba policy,’ ‘Afghanistan’ — and getting visas for a married pal’s Dominican bombshell girlfriend and her sister.

REP. FRANKS: Awans to Receive Immunity in Exchange for Revealing Wasserman Schultz Crimes

By Tyler Durden

Last week the Washington Examiner reported that Hina Alvi, the wife of Debbie Wasserman Schultz's now-infamous former IT staffer Imran Awan, had struck a deal with federal prosecutors to return to the U.S. where she currently faces charges of conspiracy and bank fraud.  The deal with prosecutors mandates a return to the U.S. during the "last week of September 2017" and is structured so that she will not be arrested in front of her children.

Now, if you're the cynical type, then it might have struck you as somewhat odd that Alvi would agree to return from Pakistan, the place to which she successfully fled specifically to avoid the charges she now seems to be embracing.

But, at least according to Congressman Trent Franks (R-AZ) who appeared on Fox News recently, there may be more to Alvi's return than meets the eye as he predicts that the Awans could be working on a broader immunity deal with prosecutors in return for a "significant" and "pretty disturbing" story about Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

BOOM: Supreme Court Grants Pres. Trump’s Request To Lift Travel Order Restrictions

By OAN Newsroom

The Supreme Court grants President Trump’s request to temporarily lift restrictions on his travel order.

On Monday, the Trump administration asked the court to overrule a recent decision by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to not block refugees who have been guaranteed resettlement in the U.S.

Back in June the Supreme Court upheld the president’s order, blocking travel from six terror-prone countries except for people with a — quote — “bona-fide relationship” with a person in U.S.

The DOJ argued refugees do not have any connection to resettlement agencies, and should be barred from entry. The Supreme Court will begin hearing arguments in two other travel order cases starting October 10.

BEN SHAPIRO: Violence, Censorship and Totalitarianism on Campus

By Ben Shapiro

I speak on dozens of college campuses every year, so I have first-hand experience with the anti-First Amendment activities that have been taking place on some of our college campuses. I’ve encountered anti-free speech measures, administrative cowardice, even physical violence on campuses ranging from California State University at Los Angeles to University of Wisconsin at Madison which is driving the legislation that Ms. Demings was talking about, to Penn State University to UC Berkeley. And I am not alone.

In order to understand what’s been going on at some of our college campuses, it’s necessary to explore the ideology that provides the impetus for a lot of the protesters who violently obstruct events, pull fire alarms, assault professors and even other students — and the impetus for administrators who all too often humor these protesters. Free speech is under assault because of a three-step argument made by the advocates and justifiers of violence.

The Hurricane

By Papa B

It was Tuesday, September 19th, 1989, Ginny and I were living in a small condo overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Wild Dunes, a resort on the Isle of Palms, SC.

It really was paradise. We were living there temporarily since we had sold our house in West Virginia, and we were deciding on where our future would be. I was consulting and had been doing extensive travel in the South with a few clients. I was scheduled next week for a final job interview with a major insurance company and Ginny was starting a new job in nursing the next Monday.

I was leaving that morning on a business trip. I arose about 4:30 AM to do my stretching prior to my morning run and was watching the Weather Channel and the weather map. Far out in the Atlantic was a circular red dot designated as Hurricane Hugo. It was many hundreds of miles out at sea so its destination was undetermined.

While watching, I got a strange premonition and wakened Ginny. I told her, ”I have this feeling that this hurricane is going to hit Charleston --- and you and I are leaving.”

EQUIFAX: You Had One Job

The credit reporting firm Equifax is one of the leading stewards of personally identifying information (PII) in the United States. It holds detailed information on virtually every American resident: Social Security numbers, income, credit scores, you name it.

It was revealed earlier this week that Equifax recently suffered a catastrophic security breach. At least 143 million Americans were impacted.

Well, as David Coursey observes, there could be a very rational explanation: "I am the FIRST person to say that your college degree doesn't define you, but this is funny. #Equifax #equifaxbreach".

GOOD NEWS: America’s Worst Phone -- the Moto Z Droid -- Just Got Worse

A huge Samsung Galaxy Note fan, my desire for acquiring an updated version last year was quashed by the fear of exploding batteries, FAA bans, and scorched kitschkes. Over at the local phone joint, an enterprising sales-dude convinced me that the Moto Z was a worthy replacement. Battery life, an exceptional camera, great screen resolution, and a hardiness bordering on total indestructability were his claims.

I surrendered to the sales pitch, albeit without my usual, paranoiac levels of due diligence.

This man was a liar. His lies were so obvious that Politifact and Snopes would have rated his statements "Mostly True".

After a year of usage -- and two replacement phones of the same ilk -- I can now definitively state that the Moto Z is the worst smartphone of all time. Congratulations! I've given this prestigious award not based upon one or two characteristics, but a whole litany of "attributes" (I'd call them product features, but they're almost certainly practical jokes introduced by engineers competing to see who could write the most production code while drunk and high).
