CATACLYSM: 30 Blocks of Democrat Governance

By Jim Quinn

“Democracy is a pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance. No one in this world, so far as I know—and I have researched the records for years, and employed agents to help me—has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby.” – H.L. Mencken, Notes on Democracy

I’ve written dozens of articles about the 30 Blocks of Squalor over the years. The 30 blocks are essentially from 69th Street to 39th Street encompassing the wretched potholed route from unsafe Upper Darby through the killing fields of West Philly. The fine union government workers in the Streets Department have consistently maintained Chestnut Street in a constant state of disrepair. Not that drivers notice.

The Five Must-Read Emails Of The Latest Clinton Email Dump

By America Rising

Today the State Department released the penultimate batch of emails gleaned from Hillary Clinton’s illicit, private email server. The release featured another 88 emails that the government has determined contained classified information. Those 88 emails bring the total number of Clinton’s email that contain classified information to at least 1,818.

While the State Department’s release of Clinton’s emails is winding down, the amount of damaging information found in Clinton’s emails certainly isn’t. The latest tranche of Clinton emails spotlight many of questionable aspects of her State Department tenure.

The biggest bombshell of the batch is an email from Neera Tanden that exposes Clinton’s faulty approach to email security. Others, such as one from Wendy Sherman, highlight the failed policies Clinton pursued at the State Department. There is also a damaging exchange about trade that reminds people of the many flip-flops Clinton has made this campaign.

See below for the five best new emails from this latest batch:

IN ONE WORD: Why Rubio Can't Win

By CR Wire

Tonight on his radio program, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin explained why Marco Rubio is running to lose, the way he’s conducting his campaign.

Listen:

Marco Rubio will not win the Republican nomination because of one word: amnesty.

Rubio’s record as senator, his record as a pro-amnesty Republican, will prevent him from beating Donald Trump outright, Levin says.

The Rubio strategy, Levin says, appears to be destroy Ted Cruz, run for second place, and then try to win a brokered convention. This strategy gives Trump a free ride to victory.

And so, Levin argues, Rubio is playing spoiler for conservatism in this race.

EXCLUSIVE: Spy photograph reveals first meeting of Twitter's "Trust and Safety Council"

In addition to banning Stacy McCain's Twitter account for the high crime of offending feminists, the social network's ill-named "Trust and Safety Council" has also banned the the Twitter account used to promote his book, Sex Trouble. With that said, I think it safe to say that the following anonymously sourced photograph captures the Council's most recent meeting.

Too harsh? I don't think so.

TOP 5 REASONS TO IMPEACH: IRS Chief John "One Step Shy of Perjury" Koskinen

By Sarah Feldspauch

Taxpayers deserve a transparent, accountable government, starting with Commissioner John Koskinen’s complacency in uncovering the truth in the Lois Lerner conservative targeting scandal. The agency has continually displayed extraordinary lack of responsibility.

Koskinen has also proven to be incapable of correctly handling taxpayer dollars, protecting them from identity theft, fraud, and even lied to the American people and Congress. Clearly, the agency is in desperate need of reform and new leadership.

The following are the top five reasons to impeach IRS Commissioner John Koskinen:

SCORCHED EARTH FOR A GENERATION: President Hillary and the End of the Second Amendment

By Wayne LaPierre

“Only Eight Years of President Hillary Can Take the Supreme Court Away From Conservatives”

That headline on the Daily Beast website succinctly lays out the devastating threat to our liberty that defines the coming November elections—demanding that we as NRA members mobilize as never before.

You can bet that a Hillary Clinton Supreme Court will make sure to carry out her threat to “take back the Second Amendment” and that the protections of the First Amendment on free assembly and free speech—as exercised to perfection by NRA members—will be erased.

That entire progressive agenda is in danger if they “don’t get a lock on the White House and pack the bench for a generation.”

An Open Letter to Senator Sanders

By David Brock

Dear Senator Sanders,

I’m writing today to urge that you and your campaign immediately halt all negative campaigning against our party’s prospective candidate for the Presidency, Secretary Hillary Clinton.

After first pledging to wage a positive campaign for President, you and your campaign have for weeks now engaged in a relentlessly ugly barrage of false character attacks against Mrs. Clinton, including running negative TV advertising of the sort you promised you never would.

Following the Nevada caucuses, you had the opportunity to live up to the self-professed ideals of your own campaign by delivering an aspirational message of systemic change, but instead you chose to ramp up spurious negative attacks against the winner of those caucuses.

AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH: The Democrats's Phony Gun Violence "Epidemic"

By Richard Larsen

On the first day of the year, President Obama declared that he could “no longer sit around and do nothing about the epidemic of gun violence” in this country. The New York Times in December published a front-page editorial titled “End the Gun Epidemic in America.” But do we really have an “epidemic,” and at what point does hyperbole damage rational debate and resolution?

To illustrate how hyperbolic the notion of “epidemic of gun violence” is, let’s look at what real epidemics look like. Typhus, which spread throughout Europe during the Thirty Years War in the 1600s claimed over 10 million lives. It resurfaced during the 20th century, and caused several million deaths during WWI in Eastern Europe.

The Fed's Nightmare Scenario Is Rapidly Becoming Reality

By Peter Schiff

Operating under the mistaken belief that a modest dose of inflation is either a prerequisite for, or a by-product of, economic growth, the nation’s top economists have been assuring us for quite some time that inflation will stay very low until the currently mediocre economy finally catches fire. As a result, they believe that the low inflation of the past few months has frustrated Federal Reserve policy makers, who have been supposedly chomping at the bit to keep hiking rates in order to restore confidence in the present and to build the ability to cut rates in the future if the nation were to ever, god forbid, enter another recession.

OBAMACARE: A Naked Plot to Bankrupt America

By Cliff Kincaid

One topic of conversation in the Republican race for the White House has been whether President Obama has been incompetent, or actually knows what he’s doing. On the matter of Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, commonly known as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Obamacare, self-declared socialist Professor Gerald Friedman seems to agree with conservatives that it can’t and won’t work. Friedman, a supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) “Medicare for All” single-payer plan, says that Obama and his advisers knew that the ACA was a “bad idea” that would not control costs, and that a total federal takeover of the health care system was inevitable.

The problem with a federal takeover of health care is that it would bankrupt the U.S., leading to left-wing demands for even more federal control. This is how socialism is coming to America.

MARK LEVIN: It's Time for Marco Rubio to Stop Lying

By Mark R. Levin

A little while back, I argued that Marco Rubio's tactics in attacking Ted Cruz's Senate record on immigration and national defense, among other things, were Alinskyite.  They were and still are simply and demonstrably dishonest.  Yet he persists, knowing full well that by the time the truth catches up with him, if ever, the damage will have been done.  More recently, Rubio and his campaign team have intensified and broadened their Alinskyite tactics, now focusing on the ultimate personal smear -- that Ted Cruz is a serial liar.  Even in this, Rubio is not original.  Of course, Donald Trump has been calling his opponents liars as an almost Tourette's-like response against anyone who reminds him of his past but recent support for leftists and leftist causes, some of whom and which he still embraces.

But Rubio's smears are part of a more deliberative and unrelenting propaganda campaign. They are now at the core of his campaign effort to dislodge Cruz and clear the field against Trump.

PRESIDENTIAL HISTORIAN CRAIG SHIRLEY: The Fall of the House of Bush

By Craig Shirley

That plummeting sound you hear is the fall of the House of Bush. Unfortunately for the family, it is not falling silently into the woods and there are plenty of people to hear it and witness it and, in time, kick over the dead embers of Bushism.

With Jeb Bush’s dismal loss in South Carolina comes the end of the Bush dynasty, which given the rise of President George HW Bush in 1980 (and even before with Senator Prescott Bush) as Ronald Reagan’s running mate, and later two presidencies, it lasted well over 30 years. Only the Adams’s, the Roosevelts, and the Kennedys could make the same claim as goes political dynasties

NATION'S IMMIGRATION OFFICERS: Rubio Betrayed Us... and America

By Julia Hahn

In an exclusive Q&A with Breitbart News, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Council President Chris Crane provides never-before-heard details about the 2013 Gang of Eight immigration fight that are likely to shake up an already tumultuous presidential race.

ICE Council President, Crane represents the nation’s approximately 5,800 frontline ICE officers, agents and personnel who are responsible for enforcing America’s immigration laws in all 50 states and U.S. territories. For the first time ever, Crane details his behind-the-scenes interactions with Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) as Crane sought to protect the nation’s ICE officers and national security.

Crane was integral to stopping Sen. Rubio’s amnesty plan from passing the House—which, as Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) recently explained, “was a near-run thing.”

In his responses, Crane addresses an incident—first detailed by Breitbart News— in which Marco Rubio stood idly by as Crane was ejected from a Gang of Eight press conference for trying to ask a question on behalf of law enforcement.

AN OPEN LETTER TO TED CRUZ: It's Obama, Stupid

By Dan Friedman

Dear Senator Cruz:

Whatever your strategy has been up until now, your problem is conventional political wisdom, which is always conventional but too often unwise. The reflexive response advocated by your "campaign professionals" to tilt at every canard that's aimed at you is worse than a waste of time, it's falling into the trap they have set for you. Unfortunately, the way things work nowadays, every public riposte only sells your competitors' product. Frankly, that’s a hack PR approach to politics.

Just look at the results of yesterday's South Carolina primary. The "establishment" has found their stalking horse - destroyer of hopes and ambitions - and Rubio is going to be breathing down your neck until the nominating convention.

Senator, this is the moment to turn your ship around and head to calmer waters and more productive fishing grounds.

Our nation and our world has suffered under almost 8 years of Obama's oppressive regime. If there's anything approaching a common denominator among Americans, it's that Obama has been a catastrophic failure - and anyone who doesn’t agree will never vote for you under any circumstances.

It's time you built your campaign around the simple idea that you are the only candidate in the race with the principles, political skills and intellectual depth to retrace Obama's steps, roll back his damage, put the genie back in the bottle and get America back on track again.

Senator, you need to reposition yourself. The hour is late, but not too late to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Please start today.

Sincerely,

Dan Friedman

MARCO RUBIO: I 'Absolutely' Support Tuition Breaks For Illegal Aliens

By Julia Hahn

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) is doubling down on his support for in-state tuition for illegal aliens.

On ABC, George Stephanopoulos asked Rubio about his work in the Florida statehouse in which he “co-sponsored legislation to provide in-state tuition for undocumented immigrants.” Stephanopolous asked Rubio directly: “Do you stand behind that position now?”

Rubio said that he “absolutely” stands behind that legislation:

AN AFFRONT TO THE CONSTITUTION: The Government Agency From Hell, the "Consumer Financial Protection Bureau"

By Alden Abbott

A little-known federal government agency, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, imposes enormous costs on consumers and financial service providers through costly and unwarranted command-and-control regulation.

What’s more, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau runs afoul of the constitutionally mandated separation of powers. Thus, both economic and constitutional concerns indicate that it is time for Congress to abolish the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and reallocate those of its functions that merit being retained to other existing federal regulatory agencies.

Message to the GOPe from a fed-up grassroots voter

By Michelle Malkin

A reader named Dave in Montana asked me for help yesterday trying to get a message to the RNC and GOP ruling elite. I promised I would do what I could to make sure they saw his words.

I know there are many who feel the same way about the Republican leadership gone wobbly.

Here’s his email:
