SENATOR: Obama's Lawless Executive Clemency Putting Violent Firearm Perps Back on the Street

By Institute for Legislative Action

We’ve often mentioned that President Obama, despite his insistent shaming of America over its supposed lack of gun regulation, has shown little interest in enforcing the gun control laws already on the books.

But it gets worse. A lot worse.

10 Questions That Will Destroy Hillary's Campaign

Writing at, of all places, Salon, H.A. Goodman poses 10 questions that the FBI should ask Hillary that will, if answered at all, "end her White House dreams". Here are all 10, interspersed with some additional color commentary and follow-ups from me, in case the feds happen to read my blog.

1. What was the political utility in owning a private server and never using a State.gov email address? There was no political utility, nor was it about "personal convenience". It was about hiding. Hiding the co-mingling of Clinton Foundation business with that of the State Department. It was about preventing the public -- and federal inspectors general -- from ever learning the real story of one of the most corrupt officials in the history of the Republic.

Democrat Senator unwittingly sums up why Obama SCOTUS nominee must never be confirmed

By M.D. Kittle

MADISON, Wis. – U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin this week may have crystallized for conservatives why Senate Republicans are digging in their heels on President Barack Obama’s Supreme Court nomination.

“One only has to look at the Court’s docket this year in particular to see the gravity of the issues that they are grappling with. We know that a Supreme Court justice who’s able to serve 10, 20, 30, 40 years is someone who’ll shape the interpretation of policy for a generation or more,” the Madison Democrat told Politico after leaving a protest on the steps of the Supreme Court on Tuesday morning.

The Coming Drama in Cleveland

By Richard Larsen

This could be the first year in a long time that a major political party convention actually serves the function of producing a nominee, rather than simply being a coronation of a nominee. For many who are emotionally invested in a certain outcome from the conventions this year, the angst and outright anger is nearly palpable. But it’s unwarranted, as borne out by history, and an understanding of the function of conventions.

Until 1972, major party presidential candidates were all chosen by the respective party conventions. The chaotic 1968 Democrat convention in Chicago provided the incentive to move more to a presidential primary system to generate delegates to party conventions. Hubert H. Humphrey became the Democrat nominee even though he had not run in a single presidential primary.

NEW EU REPORT: Hey, on second thought, there's really no way to track or vet migrants

By Numbers USA

In the aftermath of the Paris and Brussels terrorist attacks the European Union’s own border agency, Frontex, has admitted that there is no way to effectively screen or track refugees coming across the border. The report also admitted that the large number of refugees pose a security threat for the EU countries.

SCOFFLAWS: Radical Left 9th Circuit Forces Arizona to Grant Driver's Licenses to Illegal Aliens

By Daniel Horowitz

Over the past few weeks, we’ve highlighted the growing trend of judicial amnesty for illegal immigrants at the hands of unelected judges.  Among the many stories you won’t read in the mainstream media today is that the Ninth Circuit has just taken judicial amnesty a step further.  It has ratified Obama’s amnesty by forcing Arizona to grant driver’s licenses to recipients of the DACA amnesty – a complete violation of both national and state sovereignty.

America 1956 vs. America 2016

By Michael Snyder

Is America a better place today than it was back in 1956? Of course many Americans living right now couldn’t even imagine a world without cell phones, Facebook or cable television, but was life really so bad back then? 60 years ago, families would actually spend time on their front porches and people would actually have dinner with their neighbors. 60 years ago, cars were still cars, football was still football and it still meant something to be an American. In our country today, it is considered odd to greet someone as they are walking down the street, and if someone tries to be helpful it is usually because they want something from you. But things were very different in the middle of the last century. Men aspired to be gentlemen and women aspired to be ladies, and nobody had ever heard of “bling”, “sexting” or “twerking”. Of course life was far from perfect, but people actually had standards and they tried to live up to them.

So how did it all go so wrong?

GOOD NEWS: Obama Tells Landlords They Must Rent to Murderers, Rapists and Other Felons

By Blake Neff

The Obama administration released a warning Monday telling the nation’s landlords that it may be discriminatory for them to refuse to rent to those with criminal records.

The Fair Housing Act doesn’t include criminals as a protected class, but the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) says refusing to rent based on a criminal record is a form of racial discrimination, due to racial imbalances in the U.S. justice system [Editor's Note: perhaps someday HUD could examine "racial imbalances" in single-parent families].

YES, REALLY: Legacy Media Urge Illegal Aliens to Sign Their Kids Up for Medi-Cal Welfare Program

Because California is running a massive surplus and the federal government is a financial powerhouse.

In a few months, California will begin providing full Medi-Cal coverage to all low-income children – regardless of their immigration status.

Depending on whom you ask, 170,000 to 250,000 children who live in California and are in the country illegally will qualify.

The Iran Scandal and Obama's Consiglieri

By Wallace Bruschweiler

This past week, to our astonishment, we learned that the Obama administration is seriously considering further concessions to Iran, and allowing U.S. dollars to be used to facilitate trade with the terrorist-supporting regime.  Behind this latest concession - behind every action having to do with Iran, and for that matter most other actions of this so-called "Presidency" - we observe the power of a "consigliere," in name Valerie Jarrett.

Jarrett is the Iranian-born "Senior Advisor" to Barack Hussein Obama, but her true influence is akin to a "consigliere."

LIFE UNDER THE FASCISTS: Senior Adviser Threatens GOP Delegates Who "Steal" Election From Trump

Well, this seems rather, eh, brown-shirty:

Roger Stone, a veteran Republican strategist and ally to Donald Trump, urged Trump supporters on Tuesday to hunt down any delegates who might try to deny him the nomination at the party's convention in July.

"We will disclose the hotels and the room numbers of those delegates who are directly involved in the steal," Stone said, referring to any attempts by rival campaigns to sway delegate votes away from Trump. "We'll tell you who the culprits are. We urge you to visit their hotel and find them."

Stone also called for any and all Trump supporters, who are not delegates, to gather at the convention in Cleveland where "we're going to have protests, demonstrations."

SCANDAL: V.A. Stiffing Doctors, Abusing Vets to End Challenge to Government Unions

By Luke Rosiak

A free-choice program implemented to get veterans crucial medical care is under siege because the Department of Veterans Affairs has not paid millions of dollars owed to the doctors providing it.

Now, the VA employee union, which opposes letting veterans get care outside their system in the first place, is citing VA employees’ failure as the reason to abort the fix.

Congress approved the Choice Card program in 2014 after a flood of media reports of veterans dying as VA facilities across the nation manipulated official data to conceal long delays in scheduling appointments.

UNEXPECTEDLY: Iran Caught Shipping Massive Weapons Cache to Yemeni Islamist Terrorists

By Investigative Project

A U.S. naval vessel intercepted a large Iranian weapons shipment, seizing massive quantities of arms and sophisticated weaponry destined for Yemen, the Pentagon announced Monday.

The seizure occurred in the Arabian Sea on March 28, officials said, marking the third interception of an Iranian weapons shipment in recent weeks. The ship was carrying 1,500 AK-47 rifles, 200 rocket-propelled grenade launchers, and 21 .50-caliber machine guns. They were en route to Houthi insurgents battling in Yemen's civil war at Iran's behest.

The U.S. Navy let the crew go after seizing the weapons, in line with current rules of engagement, according to a U.S. official speaking with Fox News.

OBAMA SCOTUS NOMINEE MERRICK GARLAND: Just another radical, leftist, antigun kook

By Institute for Legislative Action

Probably one of the earliest lessons most people learn in life is, “What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.” Nobody likes a hypocrite, and when you apply a standard to someone else, don’t expect much sympathy when that same standard gets applied to you.

Take Judge Merrick Garland, Barack Obama’s pick to replace Justice Scalia on the U.S. Supreme Court. We’ve heard a lot recently from the president’s cheerleaders about who Judge Garland is.

OBAMA'S WAR ON CHEAP ENERGY: Media Silent as America's Largest Coal Mines Begin Mass Layoffs

By Jennifer

America’s two largest coal mines each laid off 15 percent of their workforce -- 465 employees -- in one day.

Not one national news outlet ran the story. This travesty deserves national attention.

Barack Obama and his EPA are continuing their War on Coal and War on Jobs... and no one in America -- except the miners, their families, and their communities -- seems to care.

BUT I'M SURE OBAMACARE IS AWESOME: Unaccountable V.A. Caught Coaching Employees on How to Cheat Oversight

By Jonah Bennett

Management at Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical centers in California selected and coached employees on exactly what to tell investigators about wait time manipulation, according to new inspector general reports.

According to two whistleblowers, management handpicked medical support assistants and told them what to tell the Veterans Health Administration Inspection Team, which visited the San Diego medical center in May, 2014, following the wait time manipulation scandal which rocked the Phoenix VA.

ENDLESS CONCESSIONS: How Barack Obama Continues to Empower the World's Most Dangerous Terror State

By Omri Ceren

For the last several weeks the administration has been working on a plan to provide Iran with new non-nuclear sanctions relief, above and beyond what's required under the nuclear deal. The new concession involves giving Iran access to the U.S. financial system and the U.S. dollar. Reporters started sniffing around the story mid-month, then the AP managed to confirm some of the details, then the administration publicly no-commented while privately leaking details to its validators, then finally this morning the AP locked down most of the rest of the plan [a].

And so coverage and analysis of the concession has been scattered across several weeks. Just to make sure you have everything (mostly) in one place, this how the story is playing as of this afternoon across politics, press, and policy.

SURPRISE! "Grassroots" Effort to Push $15 Minimum Wage Actually a Massive Astroturf Campaign Funded by SEIU

By Connor D. Wolf

Critics are pointing to a financial disclosure report as evidence that the self-proclaimed grassroots movement Fight for $15 was actually orchestrated by a major labor union.

The Fight for $15 movement has fought since 2012 to raise the national minimum wage to $15 an hour. The movement has seen several successes on the local level from across the country. It has been marketed as a grassroots rise of low-wage workers, but the movement is highly paid by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), according to a recent federal expenditure report.

“SEIU’s latest financial disclosure once again exposes the remarkable degree to which the ‘Fight for $15’ campaign is bought and paid for by big labor bosses trying to stay relevant in the 21st century,” America Rising Squared Executive Director Brian Rogers said in a statement provided to The Daily Caller News Foundation.
