Line o' the Day: An Engraved Invitation for Osama

The AP transcribes remarks from a Rudy Giuliani speech:

Do I think the mission overall in Iraq is the correct one, I think without a doubt it is... And I think the Democrats are going to change their minds about it again.

(On Iran) ...This is the world we live in. It's not this happy, romantic-like world where we'll negotiate with this one, or we'll negotiate with that one and there will be no preconditions, and we'll invite (Iranian President Mahmoud) Ahmadinejad to the White House, we'll invite Osama (bin Laden) to the White House... Hillary and Obama are kind of debating whether to invite them to the inauguration or the inaugural ball.

Hillary Uncensored begins to break through the media blackout

The story has taken on a life of its own. As evidence of Hillary's campaign finance skulduggery continues to surface -- from fugitive Norman Hsu to scores of impoverished Chinese dishwashers -- the stink of her original Senate campaign still remains.

Financier Peter Paul's Hollywood fundraising gala cost -- by some accounts -- nearly 1.5 million dollars to benefit Hillary's 2000 Senate run. Hillary's campaign has allegedly underreported it or misreported ever since. In fact, her campaign manager, David Rosen, was indicted in 2005 for filing false reports with the Federal Election Commission.

Election law experts have termed this event -- and Hillary's 2000 Senate run -- "the largest election law fraud in history."

The trailer for Hillary Uncensored has become a smash hit on YouTube and Google Video. The AP's coverage was picked up by over 200 newspapers:

First came the Orwellian mash up YouTube video that portrayed Hillary Rodham Clinton as Big Brother. Then came a clip of her off-key rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner." Now, a stinging 13-minute video by a bitter Clinton foe is finding its own Internet audience.

The clip, a preview of a longer film by one-time Clinton donor Peter Paul, has scored more than 1.4 million hits on Google Video and about 350,000 on YouTube during the past week. Its popularity has driven it to the top spot on Google Video over the past two weeks...

'Chang Wu' and the Clintons

I was perusing the comments left on the incredibly popular trailer of Hillary Uncensored and noticed this intriguing tidbit from "Chang Wu:"

I worked for China Intelligence services as a colonel for 21 years and defected to Australia. Bill and Hillary Clinton are secretly receiving millions American dollars from China. China intelligant services in turn will receive milatary and High technoligy secrets from Clinton if elected. Also a promise to walk away from protecting Taiwan and Japan from China domination. They believe in a one world government. China has promised them a very high position. Bill Clinton makes mill...

Real or fake? Conspiracy theorist or satirist? Who knows, but it may be coincidental that Salon recently featured a troubling article that points to the vast amount of money raised by the William J. Clinton Foundation. Unfortunately, Clinton refuses to release the names of his individual donors.

Since leaving office in 2001, the former president has vacuumed in hundreds of millions of dollars for his William J. Clinton Foundation. Though the former president has declined to reveal the identities of his individual donors, public records reviewed by Salon reveal a partial picture of corporate foundations and the foundations of a network of wealthy individuals that have long fueled the Clinton money machine. Some of those same individuals are now among the top fundraisers for Hillary Clinton's campaign

There is no debate that the Clintons have had extremely questionable ties to both China and Dubai.

...[His failure to disclose his individual donors] raises the question of whether Bill Clinton's financial activity, and a partial lack of transparency about it to date, could become a political liability for a Hillary Clinton administration...

Laws designed to minimize real or perceived influence peddling limit the activities of a sitting president. But campaign and election law attorneys say nothing prohibits Bill Clinton from continuing to accept big checks made out to him or his foundation, even if his wife is elected president.

Is Chang Wu real? I don't know. But there's no question that the Clintons have a long and sordid history of contributions from mysterious donors. At a minimum, Chang is a metaphor for the Clintons' ties to China, Loral, Bernard Schwartz, and ICBM guidance technology.

The Heat's on Hillary. And, no, it's not Global Warming.

My Google News Alerts went nuts this evening, spilling out a series of messages on Hillary Clinton's ill-fated fundraising techniques. The alerts relate to what some experts call "the largest election law fraud in history."

Douglas Cogan, a businessman-turned-associate producer and researcher for the film, said he's made it his mission to expose what he calls "the greatest campaign finance fraud that ever has been committed... the Clintons think they are truly above the law," Cogan said. "My country has never seen anyone like Hillary Rodham Clinton."

..."My interest in supporting Hillary Clinton was specifically to hire Bill Clinton," Paul told FOXNews.com in a telephone interview, noting that Clinton's 2000 Senate campaign "concocted" the whole idea of [a gala] fundraiser.

Paul said he believed that in exchange for organizing the gala, "I had accomplished the hiring of the president of the United States to work with me when he left the White House."

The gala cost $1.2 million, which was under-reported to the Federal Election Commission and led to the arrest of Clinton's then-Senate campaign fundraising chief, David Rosen..."

All are pointing to the new video evidence of Hillary's fund-raising "prowess." The video that's getting all of the attention is called Hillary Uncensored. The trailer has been viewed over one million times:

Put simply, Hillary's in deep, deep trouble.

Line o' the Day: the Frivolous Party

Paul Mirengoff, writing at Powerline:

[Democratic] debate centers around a resolution [that labels] the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist organization. There's no genuine dispute that the IRGC fits this description, and none of the serious Democratic candidates denies it. Moreover, unlike the question of whether Turkey committed genocide 90 years ago, the status of the IRGC is relevant to today's world. Finally, unlike Turkey, Iran is an enemy of the U.S., not its ally.

Accordingly, Hillary Clinton voted for the resolution. That vote has produced harsh criticism from Barack Obama (even though he skipped the vote), John Edwards, Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, and Bill Richardson. They argue that the designation of the IRGC as terrorists could embolden Bush to take unilateral military action against Iran.

...Even so, it's difficult to blame Obama and the others from seizing upon Hillary's vote. The Democratic base is so stridently pacifist and so paranoid about Bush that even a non-issue like this one has the potential to generate heat. Clinton certainly sees this danger. According to the Post, she has "flooded Iowa with a mailer that included a lengthy letter from the candidate explaining why she supported [the IRGC] measure."

It's not easy being a semi-serious figure seeking the nomination of a frivolous party.

Google Trends: Hillary Clinton versus the World

Google Trends is a tool that can rank the popularity of various search terms. For example, I wanted to compare the number of times that folks searched for Hillary Clinton versus Barack Obama. The results show that Hillary truly is separating herself from B. Hussein Obama (Obama in blue, Hillary in red):

Hillary versus Mitt Romney shows a clear win for the cattle futures trader from Arkansas:

Hillary versus the Devil -- the Devil has had a traditional advantage over the Chappaqua Chipmunk; however, in recent days, Hillary's made quite a run at demon status:

Hillary versus Rush Limbaugh -- Rush makes a startling comeback and edges Hillary in October:

Hillary versus Spiderman -- Spidey kicks the crap out of Puff Mommy:

Finally, when Hillary goes up against American Idol, she gets absolutely destroyed.

I wonder if Simon Cowell ever thought about running for President?

A marriage of convenience

Newsbusters' Noel Sheppard describes a WOR interview with author Sally Bedell Smith. Smith's recent book on the Clintons -- "For Love of Politics" -- paints a startling picture of a relationship that is less a marriage than it is a business partnership.

On Bill's extra-marital affairs: ...[Hillary's reaction] was that he couldn't be that insane... if she heard that he sort of gone out and had a fling on the road, she could have believed that in a heartbeat. But it was the fact that it was in the Oval Office, you know, adjacent to the Oval Office that it lasted for, as it turned out, eighteen months, which is an astonishing length of time...

On Hillary staying with Bill after the affair and the lies: ...After he'd appeared before the Grand Jury... he did admit that he had lied to the American public for seven months. And, at that moment, it was worldwide humiliation. [One of their good friends said,] "Look, she was not about to divorce him for doing something that he had been doing for their whole married life, the only difference being the magnitude..."

On Hillary's calculations in staying with Bill: ...it was far more to Hillary Clinton's advantage to stay with Bill Clinton because she was already thinking about her own political ambitions. One of her top advisors [said]... that she fought the impeachment so hard and was such a chief strategist during that whole period [because she] saw her own presidential ambitions go down the drain...

On Hillary's reluctance to divorce Bill: ...if they'd gotten a divorce then, she wouldn't have had a, really, a chance in the Senate...

Good thing she's not a cold, calculating, carpet-bagging opportunist. I might get the wrong impression of her.

Real Men of Congress

Pork Lite presents... Real Men of Congress.

Real men of Con-gress...

Today we salute you, Senator Immigration Reform... Reformer...

Senator Immigration Reform... er... Reform-er...

Your DREAM Act rewards illegal immigrants and their kids with amnesty and in-state tuition if they can evade the police for five years...

Never mind that the rest of us will have to pay for their healthcare, social security, and government services 'til 2070...

It's only sixty-three years...

You casually ignore massively underfunded social security and Medicare programs...

While berating your opponents for failing to fund illegal immigrants' education, healthcare, and retirement...

It's for the children...

You passed a border fence law a year ago that authorized 900 miles of fencing...

...and your crack construction team has only managed to build a mile a month.

It'll be done in 2070, too...

Yet you can't figure out why your office phone lines are jammed when you try to sneak a 4,000 page shamnesty bill into law over a long weekend...

Or why protesters line the Thanksgiving Day parade route and hurl turkey bones and stuffing at you.

How about you build the damn fence...?

So crack open an ice-cold box of Pork Lite wine, oh Senator Open Borders. We know that no matter what we say, you'll vote the way the lobbyists tell you.

Senator Immigration Reform... er... Reform-er...

Real Men of Congress, Washington DC, 20001.

Line o' the Day: The Bag Man

Chris Matthews on the Clintons:

Before this, we laughed at poor little countries that drug dealers and international crooks could buy. We mocked the Third World capitals where a little money on the fingers of a certain family member could open doors or close eyes.

Thanks to Bill and Hillary Clinton, we have now forfeited that small national vanity. The next movie about international drug-dealing… may well feature not a Mexican police chief but an American president as the bag man.

Someone pinch me: I just quoted Chris Matthews!

"Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown."

With the Los Angeles Times' revelations of non-existent Chinatown donors to Hillary's campaign, the obvious question relates to the Clintons' bizarre, decades-long links to China. Investors Business Daily fills in the gaps.

...The Los Angeles Times on Friday uncovered an amazingly generous spirit of giving from ...immigrant dishwashers and trinket sellers, hundreds of whom "spontaneously" coughed up $1,000 or $2,000 apiece for Clinton's presidential campaign. The $380,000 from their giving dwarfed the $24,000 that John Kerry raised there for his run for the White House in 2004.

Worse yet, when the Times checked the donors, more than a third couldn't be found and most weren't registered to vote. Some didn't even have green cards... This Times story follows an earlier bombshell about Norman Hsu, one of Clinton's most valued fundraisers, who brought in $850,000 before he was exposed as a swindler on the lam.

Hsu's "bundling" of contributions from immigrants and people of low means in his debt had all the signs of proxy giving from someone hidden and higher up. As media scrutiny intensified, much of the largesse was returned to keep the heat off and the law at bay.

Clinton's campaign is so full of questionable transactions that even the Nation, a left-wing magazine, has dug up a mysterious influence peddler named Alan Quasha who hires Clinton operatives and has links to top Clinton's top fundraisers.

Meanwhile, the online magazine Salon is wondering why the Clintons are not disclosing the identities of donors to the William J. Clinton Foundation as it increases its cash intake just as Hillary becomes the presidential front-runner. Bill Clinton refuses to release their names because he says they gave anonymously. Could they too be foreign and looking to buy influence? [Ed: answer - almost certainly, yes]

...Sen. Clinton knows that enforcing election laws is difficult. When she gets called out, she returns the cash, pleads ignorance, claims a vetting glitch and returns to normal... [but] the advent (NYSE:AGC) of FEC databases and political cash Web sites such as campaignmoney.com and opensecrets.com are providing transparency and easy access to financing information. They show who is buying whom in the electoral races, and bloggers and pundits are on it. If Hillary thinks this will dissipate like Whitewater, she is mistaken.

...What do these hidden interests want in exchange for marshaling the dishwashers of Chinatown to contribute to Clinton's campaign coffers? What has she promised them in exchange?

Knowing that the Chinese seek greater access to U.S. technology, how will this serve their national interests over our own? Will voters find themselves in the situation of watching a President Hillary Clinton sit on her hands after an American aircraft is shot down because of what someone in Beijing knows about cash she accepted?

For now, Sen. Clinton needs to start answering questions about the mysterious patterns in her campaign donations.

The Ultimate Hillary Gallery

The undead blogger -- Zombie -- has published the ultimate Hillary Gallery.

The mainstream media... tends to only publish their "best" photos of [Hillary] -- pictures that make her look good. As a result, awkward, funny, strange, and patently ridiculous candid photos of Hillary can be a little hard to come across.

Until now.

As a public service, zombietime has compiled this gallery of unflattering Hillary photos. And I will maintain it and continue to expand it at least until the 2008 presidential election. The photos on this page come from a wide variety of sources -- from personal snapshots, to historical archives, to standard mainstream news photos.

Draining Hillary Clinton's Swamp: More Bogus Donors

After the revelation that the Paw family of San Francisco -- whose head of household earned $49,000 -- had donated around $200,000 to Hillary Clinton and other Democrats, I created a satirical, illustrated piece called Hillary Clinton's A-List Donors.

It turns out I was prescient. To its credit, the left-leaning Los Angeles Times took a hard look at Hillary Clinton's Chinatown donors in a recent expose entitled "An unlikely treasure-trove of donors for Clinton". The money parapraphs:

The Times examined the cases of more than 150 donors who provided checks to Clinton after fundraising events geared to the Chinese community. One-third of those donors could not be found using property, telephone or business records. Most have not registered to vote, according to public records...

The tenement at 44 Henry St. was listed in Clinton's campaign reports as the home of Shu Fang Li, who reportedly gave $1,000... In a recent visit, a man, apparently drunk, was asleep near the entrance to the neighboring beauty parlor, the Nice Hair Salon... A tenant living in the apartment listed as Li's address said through a translator that she had not heard of him, although she had lived there for the last 10 years.

A man named Liang Zheng was listed as having contributed $1,000. The address given was a large apartment building on East 194th Street in the Bronx, but no one by that name could be located there...

In the busy heart of East Broadway, beneath the Manhattan Bridge, is a building that is listed as the home of Sang Cheung Lee, also reported to have given $1,000. Trash was piled in the dimly lighted entrance hall. Neighbors said they knew of no one with Lee's name there; they knocked on one another's doors in a futile effort to find him.

Salespeople at a store on Canal Street were similarly baffled when asked about Shih Kan Chang, listed as working there and having given $1,000. The store sells purses, jewelry and novelty Buddha statues. Employees said they had not heard of Chang...

After the costly Norman Hsu debacle, you'd have thought the Clinton Machine would attempt to cleanse the donor pool of obviously suspect contributions.

Instead, it's just another chapter in the same, monotonous story. More dirty money funneled to the Clintons, much of with it either direct or indirect ties to China. Just what is it with the Clintons and China? It may take a lot more digging to find out.

Hillary Uncensored trailer: #1 on Google Video... again!

Doug from Upland writes to alert us to a viral success story: the shocking trailer for Hillary Uncensored received nearly 110,000 page views on Tuesday.

If you haven't taken the time to view the controversial trailer, you'll want to see it. The full documentary will be screened in the following locations -- if you're in the neighborhood, stop by to watch the power, the magic, and the glory that is Hillary Clinton.

      Dartmouth College - Sat. Oct. 27, 2pm
Saint Anselm College - Sun. Oct. 28, 1pm
Metropolitan Republican Club of NY - Tues. Oct. 30, 7pm

A special guest at the Dartmouth and Saint Anselm screenings will be Katherine Prudhomme O'Brien. Katherine because famous for confronting Al Gore at a town hall meeting in late 1999 over Juanita Broaddrick's rape charge against Bill Clinton. A few months ago, she personally confronted Hillary. Hillary pretended to be unaware of someone named Juanita Broaddrick. It wasn't a convincing performance.

Line o' the Day: On-the-job training

Rudy Giuliani responds to Hillary Clinton's remark "I really think my unique experience uniquely equips me to be president at this time."

I don't know Hillary's experience. She's never run a city. She's never run a state. She's never run a business. She's never met a payroll. She's never been responsible for the safety and security of millions of people, much less even hundreds of people. So I'm trying to figure out where the experience is here. It would seem to me that in a time of difficult problems and war, we don't want on-the-job training for an executive...

...the areas of having the responsibility of the safety and security of millions of people on your shoulders, is not something that Hillary has ever had any experience with.

The impact of Hillary on your taxes: Yowza!

Hope you're comfortable with the color red. Because that's what most folks' bank balances will be printed in if Hillary "Million Ideas" Clinton gets elected.

* She says that she will “…let President Bush's tax cuts for top earners expire." Most people assume that this pledge means that she will raise the top bracket (for those earning more than $200,000 a year) on income taxes from the 35 percent to which Bush cut it, to the 39.6 percent to which her husband raised it in 1993. But, in reality, it means a whole lot more.

...increasing the tax on capital gains from the current 15 percent to at least 20 percent and probably to the 30 percent level backed by most liberals...

...repeal Bush's tax cut halving the tax rate on dividends and would [double it] to 30 percent.

...likely end the planned elimination of the estate tax...

...She has specifically refused to rule out a big increase in Social Security (FICA) taxes.

...Already the top 1 percent of all taxpayers earn 17 percent of the national income but pay 35 percent of all federal income taxes. And the top 10 percent make one-third of the national income but pay two-thirds of the income tax. The bottom half in income pays less than 3 percent of the income ta x collections. Hillary will make this curve a lot steeper.

...she told a San Francisco audience in 2004: “We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good...”

I like nice, big round numbers -- but not in my tax bill.

Dick Morris
