Good News: Over 6,000 California Government Retirees Have $100K+ Annual Pensions; Jerkinator Suggests Outsourcing Prisons to Mexico

Yep, you read that right: at last count 6,133 retired California government workers receive pensions in excess of $100,000 from CalPERS. So says the database at California Pension Reform, which spotlights the egregious abuses wrought by public section unions on the taxpayer.

To pay for all of the outrageous union contracts, Governor Jerkinator has suggested -- not pay cuts -- but, wait for it, outsourcing the state's prisons to Mexico.

The governor probably wasn't joking yesterday, when he suggested outsourcing California's overcrowded prison system to Mexico...

Specifically, he would send the state's 19,000 imprisoned illegal immigrants to prisons south of the border.

"We pay them to build the prisons down in Mexico and then we have those undocumented immigrants be down there in a prison. ... And all this, it would be half the cost to build the prisons and half the cost to run the prisons," Schwarzenegger said, predicting it would save the state $1 billion that could be spent on higher education.

How about printing some more IOUs? That should work for a while, Arnie.

  1. Well we should at least deport illegal immigrants who are convicted of crimes, after they serve their jail terms. Or is that politically incorrect?

If the president of the United States gets $400,000/yr for doing his job, how is it that these people get 50-100% of that for not doing theirs, or even doing it.

Surely not state official is worth 50% of the president?!
