Last night news broke that Anchorage's CBS affiliate KTVA News 11 reporters were caught on tape discussing ways in which they could potentially embarass the Senate campaign of Republican Joe Miller... ("Anchorage CBS Affiliate Caught on Voicemail Conspiring Against Alaska’s GOP Senate Candidate")
...Now, note the irony captured below in KTVA's local coverage of yesterday's so called Restoring Sanity rally. Above they are exposed for conspiring to generate yet another negative headline grabbing story in an effort to damage Miller's Senate campaign. Now, in their rally coverage, they quote an activist criticizing both Sarah Palin and Joe Miller for allegedly generating so much of that very kind of news...
...In essence, CBS' KTVA is exposed above for generating negative coverage, and now we see them doubling back to highlight an activist's negative reaction to such news - in this case, presumably to also damage Miller's campaign. At this point, CBS affiliate KTVA appears to be engaged in political activism, not journalism...
Hot Air has a copy of the damning transcript.
FEMALE REPORTER: That’s up to you because you’re the expert, but that’s what I would do…I’d wait until you see who showed up because that indicates we already know something… [Laughter]
[INAUDIBLE]
FEMALE REPORTER: Child molesters…
MALE REPORTER: Oh yeah… can you repeat Joe Miller’s…uh… list of people, campaign
workers, which one’s the molester?
[INAUDIBLE]
FEMALE VOICE: We know that out of all the people that will show up tonight, at least one of them will be a registered sex offender. [Laughter]
MALE REPORTER: You have to find that one person…
[INAUDIBLE]
FEMALE REPORTER: And the one thing we can do is ….we won’t know….we won’t know but
if there is any sort of chaos whatsoever we can put out a twitter/facebook alert: saying what the… ‘Hey Joe Miller punched at rally.’
FEMALE REPORTER: Kinda like Rand Paul…I like that. [Laughter]
FEMALE REPORTER: That’s a good one.
There was a time when the media would have been embarrassed about this sort of thing.
Of course, that roughly corresponds to the era when the media wasn't a laughingstock.

Slanting the news with biased reporting is one thing. Intention fabrications to help a candidate makes them part of the campaign.
ReplyDeleteIs that legal for broadcast station? Don't they have to have a tag on the end that says (This news broadcast is funded by whoever)?
Dan Riehl is one of the most ugly examples of a fool on Our side.
ReplyDeleteIt shows a great deal, sadly, about Mr. Ross for referencing him.
This story is everywhere, and no one has to link a fool who lied about an Impeachment Vote regarding Castle - or has a nutty concept of his imagined cabal in the GOP.
Ross lowers his fine credibility with the association. It is sad but reality. Riehl is busy tossing around mindless 'bombs' suggesting there is a conspiracy between ROVE and Powerline. This from a kook who took money from the GOP (and I even defended him at the time).
In fact, this is more desperation from Our side. We expect the Democrats to slander and work against all. But sadly, this was the same sort of mindset the likes of Riehl had for Murkowski as he offered the most nonsense vitriol for a Republican with a 70% rating.
It was the fashion Riehl is providing, which drives away, creates opposition, grows enemies for no need. The Palin Franchise and the TEA Party Express offered the same form of hatred, hostility, vicious nature during that primary - even after Miller won the competition, only to guarantee the INDY Murkowski offering.
It was and still is, entirely lacking a constructive offering, completely unprofessional, enabling the Democrats - weakening the Conservative offering.
And to see Mr. Ross turn to this source is a very bad sign. Really regretful.
All of this is regretful. Riehl was so over the top in races like Alaska, Delaware, etc., and now he looks like an even bigger fool, as Miller has been revealed to be a true contradiction.
Miller not only took governmental money for his family's Health Care needs, he also abuse his governmental job - being rebuked formally using tax payer money to push his own political efforts.
And Miller LIED about it all. This is the type of Candidates a fool like Riehl is distorting reality and slandering others over? O'Donnell who could not be honest over her own educational background, did not pay her bills, is someone worthy to distort the record of others over?
This is not Conservatism, and now Ross looks truly bad with the association. Poison sinking us all.
It has little to do with the concept of electing more sound Conservative Candidates. Miller is basically a sign of a fraud, much like many of the so called FASHIONABLE who are preying on the IMAGE.
Conservatives used to be better, now some are looking as poor as these unethical Democrats at CBS.
Following Riehl? A loser...
Whatever Joe Miller has done, he's a better choice than Lisa Minkovich!
ReplyDeletePS: I watched just now, after all the games - on a FOX Sunday rerun, the interview by Sarah Palin on FOX NEWS with Wallace. I really found Mrs. Palin's offering terribly lackluster once again.
ReplyDeleteI will be tired tomorrow for certain.
I make this offering with the best intent. Someone should study the FASHIONABLE offering by Mrs. Palin here today on Wallace's show, and this is not attractive conservatism - growing the cause.
Her excuses for Miller and O'Donnell dodged the questions. It was rather embarrassing.
Sarah says she is devoted to time tested true principles. Uh huh - HELLO? ALWAYS going to support the Conservative Candidate in the race? This was her excuse for the O'Donnell 'mistake' (* which even borrows again from Rush with "give it a college try"). But Mrs. Palins devotion to pure Conservatives in these latest Primaries are not consistent. Mr. Wallace could have just asked Sarah Palin about her recent endorsement of the rather lackluster Maverick in Arizona - clearly NOT the true Conservative in the race. Principles might be just a slogan for Mrs. Palin. She really looks like a politician here.
We have a huge fashion on Our side, and Mrs. Palin is probably playing it rich.
Also, Mrs. Palin's rush to bash the GOP in the case of Murkowski really stinks. The Palin Franchise was brutal - personal with Murkowski. Now they are upset someone else is playing the same kind of bad politics? Her offering is only inviting problems, creating divides with some we may NEED on Our side.
In regards to the tired Democratic Partisans pretending to be Journalists - seeking to debase Mr. Miller, we expect this. Just par for the course with pathetic Democrats. It seems the Palin Franchise is hyping the matter because Miller is in trouble. It is close to a typical Oct. surprise.
It is a bit hypocritical, as I remember the emails, etc., during that ugly primary in Alaksa, which only encouraged Murkowski to create trouble. It was especially ugly-personal from the Tea Party Express and the Palin Franchise. Growing opposition and enemies foolishly is not conservatism.
Sarah Palin also made another odd claim, that her TV program is not a REALITY show. This is not genuine either. Her referencing the hero Ronald Reagan was also quite regretful. Leave the GIPPER out of it, NEVER take him down to for your own petty need. And having a Producer saying, we are going to have Sara and Todd "do something" today for a video shoot, is by definition a "Reality Show".
There is something wrong here.
I think Mrs. Palin is a good American, on the right side of history. But there is a lack of genuine - substance, and the massive hype only makes these problems seem quite larger. If you pretend to be a 'super duper' in the Identity game, you should make certain you are backing up the claim, or it falls terribly short when confronted with reality.
