QOTD: "Once upon a time, I developed a theory that we have much lower expectations for public-sector performance than we do for private-sector performance... consider what we tolerate from the US Postal Service (USPS) as opposed what we tolerate from firms like FedEx Express or UPS... Compare Amtrak to private transportation; the billions of dollars of taxpayer money wasted on producing the Chevy Volt (the only thing electric about this car is that it is shockingly bad) compared to its competitors; the standards applied to public-school students as opposed to those demanded in private and home schools; or the massive waste we accept in those federal transportation and 'farm' bills Congress passes every five years, regardless of the party in control." --Christopher Westley, "Why Are People So Forgiving of Government Failure?"

  1. My theory has to do with sports. We are trained from a young age to root for the underdog so we are incapable of being over-critical of failure.

That and we figure it is good will toward the B-string.

Did I call it or what?

The fashion is saying "Ryan's Plan: Necessary But Not Sufficient: Ace"

Ace should have learned from the past about jumping without fully doing the homework.

You just don't look at a graph, not study the plans details before making a reactionary offering.

This is just NOT conservatism, and is another small example of how the 'tunnel' in the blog-radio-conservative pundit arena has grown so insulated and at times self destructive.

WFB is lost upon so many. Get the facts straight before making more Delaware Disasters.

Another link which is really concerning to add to the many here:
"Washington Post and CBS receiving money from Obamacare slush fund"

It is so pathetic, all of the Democratic Partisan garbage.

    Pure corruption.
