QOTD: "Anyone who made the decision last night, as I did, to watch Nightline’s appallingly tawdry interview with the second Mrs. Newt Gingrich learned nothing new about the target, whose marital infidelities are well known, but did, however, witness two of the most dangerous pathologies of the mainstream media (MSM) on vivid display.

ABC and its MSM colleagues claim to purvey news and opinion that are both serious and impartial. This interview was neither, indeed was the opposite of serious and impartial.

Last night’s performance couldn’t have provided a more vivid illustration of the double standards applied to the coverage of Republicans and Democrats. It was a classic case of an abject lack of the fairness and objectivity they claim to epitomize — even as they attack Fox News as unfair and unbalanced." --Belladonna Rogers

  1. ent to riehl's endorsement post.

    commented.

    but he deleted it.

    nice.

    here it is:
I find it most informative that Rick Santorum and Susan Molinari - ONE A VERY CONSERVATIVE MAN AND THE THE A MODERATE WOMAN - have nearly identical views on Newt: that he is an unreliable, erratic, unstable man who was a disastrous leader.

The fact that Newt has extremely few endorsements from any former colleagues in the House buttresses this point.

On top of that he's an egomaniac: today he said he might win a shockingly big win in SC. REALLY!?!?!

The fact is he has led in SC for most of the last several months. Mitt surged after Iowa and NH, but it was short-lasted. --- which is typical.

You never heard Mitt call his win in NH "shockingly huge" because Mitt has a healthy ego, not a gargantuan GRANDIOSE one.

And another thing I find INSANE - maybe a sign of mass hysteria in SC: Newt the serial adulterer was given an STANDING OVATION, and Mitt - the self-made millionaire was BOOED for paying all his taxes.

Insane. The GOP in SC has become pro-adultery and anti low taxes!?!?!?

    BOTTOM-LINE:

RINO's did not lose us the White House in 2008; conservatives who stayed home did. It seems to me that conservatives are not only shooting themselves in the foot by endorsing serial adulterers and erratic egomaniacs like Newt, they are hurting the whole party:

Prolonging the contest is only driving up the negatives of all the GOP contenders, as Obama's decline.

OH: All polls consistently show that Newt has negatives that are gargantuan - like his ego. Worse than Hillary's.

Newt would be a disaster in November.

(ADDENDUM: IF HE GETS THE NOMINATION, THEN I BLAME PALIN - WHO I HAD ADMIRED GREATLY. HOW COULD SHE ENDORSE THIS IMMORAL SLIMEBALL!?!?!?)

doug, u r right to endorse rick if you don't like mitt. newt is awful.
