President Obama, during a brief Rose Garden press conference meant to announce his nominee for World Bank president, ventured into the high-intensity controversy over the unarmed black teenager fatally shot in Florida -- calling the case a "tragedy" and saying if he had a son, "he'd look like Trayvon." ... The death of Trayvon Martin, 17, is now under investigation by the Justice Department and FBI... Obama, asked about the case Friday, noted that he doesn't want to interfere with the probe being led by his attorney general, Eric Holder. But he made clear that he empathizes deeply with the parents in the case...
What this article won't tell you is that Obama never takes extraneous questions from the press after making a statement. But in this case, he paused momentarily at the end of the briefing, leaving time for a pre-planned question to be asked.
Leave it to the peerless iOwnTheWorld to pwn this crass setup of a question and answer.
The press also failed to mention that the initial television reports interviewed a witness who stated that Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman pummeling him.
The witness also said that as Zimmerman was being attacked by Trayvon Martin, he was screaming for help.
The neighborhood where Zimmerman was helping to patrol as part of a local watch program had suffered eleven (11) break-ins in recent weeks.
Like the 2009 incident in Cambridge -- in which the president humiliated himself by claiming that police "acted stupidly" before he had learned anything about the case -- we have another example of stupid behavior.
We have someone in a position of great power, who is willing to foment civil unrest without the benefit of any of the facts related to the incident.
But November is coming.
This pisses me off so much....I can't say what I want to without you Doug banning me....!!!
ReplyDeleteDoug, IOwnTheWorld needs to be bumped to the hawt list.
ReplyDeleteSilly rabbit, the United States Department of Justice routinely investigates every shooting, purse snatching and jay walking that takes place in the United States. Holder is a busy guy.
ReplyDeleteHas Holder finished the investigation regarding the 13yrs old white kid; going hime from school; followed by a couple of black high school teenagers; doused with gasoline and, lit on fire causing a big fireball on the boys head, hair and eyes among others, in Kansas City a couple of weeks ago. It's a hatecrime alright, as per police, but no arrest.
ReplyDeleteTHis is why we need Obamacare, so teabaggers can get the mandatory psychiatric care they need. We also need to psychiatrically regulate the preachers and teachers that create such creatures! And we should put lithium in the water supply.
ReplyDeleteI'd still like to know about the low reporting of killings of the students in the Mississippi dorms by a car of assailants or all the crimes against women. Eric is not interested. On the other hand, it is just ok for the NBP party to put a bounty on someone. Eric is not interested. And yes, I am interested to find out why those high school students who burnt up a jr high child were not brought to justice or why the woman who was raped at 85 and her husband beaten is ignored because the thugs were so important or why the woman whose bones were broken by two thugs who broke into her sliding glass doors is ignored.
ReplyDeleteIf a thug attacks me, I am going to force him to kill me.
ReplyDeleteTrayvon was obviously fearing for his life. It is sad that there is such a huge cover up on the injustice done to this boy.
ReplyDelete11 break ins..this kid was found to have unexplained jewelry in his backpack. he was caught writing on school property. if he was not up to something why did he just identify himself case closed. each go home. ????????????
ReplyDeletehe attacked the guy and was beating the hell out of him. he didnt deserve to die but he should have thought about that when he attacked the guy.
the only one that feared for his life was zimmerman. the man was a minority too.he was not a white man.
