Facebook shuts down conservative page with over 600,000 likes

Facebook has directly targeted a set of pages devoted to, of all things, the Bill of Rights:

Over the past month or so, Facebook, at the direction of their owner and administration, have been systematically targeting, attacking, discriminating against, and flat out shutting down conservative pages on Facebook, as well as individual accounts... Mark Zuckerberg is an open Obama supporter and Liberal. He and Facebook are engaged in the same type of behavior as the IRS when it comes to harassing and targeting conservative, Christian, Tea Party, and Patriot groups. It is the same behavior that we have seen from the Department of Justice targeting and harassing the free press and reporters in this country...

In a separate, but ominously related bit of news, watch as Obama supporters sign away the Bill of Rights.

You don't have to be Kreskin to predict that nothing good will come of these developments.

Every Patriot should dump face book right now. Why do we insist on being on there after they do something like this ? I am going to delete my 2 face books,
This is where we should all be.

  2. They're speaking for themselves.

Wait until they see the blow back when that moronic idea is tried on the rest of us. And blow back it will be.

  3. Facebook is drowning in its own refusal to keep up with success. Successful small groups for local trading have also disappeared because FB removed administrative tools, forcing them to reorganize into numberous smaller groups. Groups are limiting photos because FB has cut back the alloted space, and search is a disaster. It is impossible to scroll back through a timeline - even though ability to review older posts is why FB claimed they forced us all onto "Timeline". Facebook has randomized so badly what we see from our friends' posts that people miss important posts. Time for things to decentralize again. Old fashioned discussion boards and blogs are still a good way to go.

  5. I don't think it is a matter of leaving one place or another so much as maintaining redundency. It isn't My Space vs FB, but to have accounts with both. Blogging AND social media. Text AND email. That has always made sense on the internet, from the early days when websites would simply disappear overnight, to now when companies arbitrarily change the rules without notice. Moderator error (whether human or bot) can do all kinds of damage without bad intent. It is probably not wise to use one catch-all service for everything (such as logging in with Facebook to Twitter). For true communication, today's world requires many tools, and we are blessed to be able to use them all.

After thousands protested Facebooks action and Uncle Sam's Misguided Children had a video about this situation go viral, Facebook has put the page back up. We the people DO have a voice....

Why go to the teaparty social? We need another one.. one with the following, one with the $$ to make it happen. Misguided is proven, and openly stated testing is in beta on the software right now..
