I added the blue for a reason. David Freddoso explains:Every state has at least some residents who are looking for greener pastures, but nowhere is the desire to move more prevalent than in Illinois and Connecticut. In both of these states, about half of residents say that if given the chance to move to a different state, they would like to do so. Maryland is a close third, at 47%.
I think it was Mark Levin who first noted that Democrats are like locusts. They destroy a state and then, having sufficiently eradicated growth and opportunity, move on to the next. New York-to-Connecticut and Maryland-to-Virginia serving as archetypes.I find it fascinating that seven of the top eight — all but foreclosure-plagued Nevada — are wealthy and thoroughly liberal bastions, followed by two of the poorest states in the U.S. to round out the top ten.
Illinois, by the way, is also number one for residents who think their state is the worst of all.

Stay out of Texas!
ReplyDeleteI grew up in Texas and spent many years there. If I could (and I really am trying) move out of Illinois (especially Chicago, where I have grown to really despise), I would move back to Dallas in a heartbeat. We initially left for a very good reason. But it's a decision I grew to regret from the first day.
ReplyDeleteIllinois raised taxes over 7 billion dollars in 2011.. yet Illinois is still broke with over 5 billion dollars in unpaid bills...now you know why working taxpayers leave the corrupt blue state
