Why Game of Thrones Author George R.R. Martin's Computer is Impervious to Any Virus or Malware

Interesting interview last night in which George R.R. Martin proclaims that his writing computer simply can't be hacked.

He has two computers, one for general work on the Internet, the other for writing his massive books. Why is the latter impervious to computer attack?

...the guy still writes all the books on a DOS-based computer. Specifically, with a program called WordStar 4.0, free from evil viruses that lurk on the Internet.

No spell-check or auto-correct either. Why?

Targaryen? Did you mean TireCenter?
