Ted Cruz: Barack Obama Employing the "Exact Same Argument" ISIS Uses To Justify Killing Christians

By Real Clear Politics

Sen. Ted Cruz says President Obama is an "apologist" who is unwilling to name Islamic terrorism as the biggest problem in the world: "He said, yes they are committing acts of terror, but Christians and Jews have committed acts of terror as well, and he invoked the Crusades and the Inquisition."

"That argument is the exact same argument that is made by the terrorists," Cruz said. "ISIS when they are beheading and crucifying Christians, they invoke the Crusades and the Inquisition."

"I don't think it is asking too much to ask this president to stay in the current millenium."

TED CRUZ: When I said President Obama is an apologist... You may remember earlier [last year] when President Obama spoke at the national prayer breakfast. The King of Jordan was scheduled to be there, but the day before he had to fly back to Jordan because ISIS had taken a Jordanian pilot, put him in a cage, and lit him on fire.

And President Obama gave a speech, I was sitting at the prayer breakfast where he said, yes they are committing acts of terror, but Christians and Jews have committed acts of terror as well, and he invoked the Crusades and the Inquisition.

NEIL CAVUTO, FOX NEWS: Yeah, I remember that.

TED CRUZ: Now last I checked the Crusades ended 900 years ago. I don't think it is asking too much to ask this president to stay in the current millenium.

And the reason I said it is being an apologist is because that argument is the exact same argument that is made by the terrorists. ISIS when they are beheading and crucifying Christians, they invoke the Crusades and the Inquisition.
