Today's Larwyn's Linx sponsored by: #ConstitutionMan: Ted Cruz for President
QOTD: "I think any candidate for President owes it to the voters to go and stand in front of them, to answer the hard questions. I mean, it’s a matter of basic respect to the men and women of Iowa. . . . This is a job interview. And if you want a job interview, the first thing you should do to get the job is show up at the interview. And I think it’s really remarkable that Donald Trump thinks so little of the men and women of Iowa that he is willing to skip the debate altogether. He doesn’t think he should have any questions on his record. And it’s really quite astonishing that Donald is apparently so afraid of Megyn Kelly. Look, you know, journalists ask tough questions. You know, I promise you, anyone who’s going to be President of the United States — if you’re afraid of Megyn Kelly, then you’re going to be afraid of Hillary Clinton. And if you’re afraid of Vladimir Putin, if you’re afraid to have anyone ask questions, that does not bode well for what kind of Commander in Chief you make." --Sen. Ted Cruz
Does a man who lives rent-free in the heads of every pundit, every talking head, every supporter of "not Trump" - and who confounds every attempt to take him down by all comers, actually look like he's "afraid" of a female debate moderator? Tens of millions of people don't seem to think so. Nor, it seems, do the apparently indespensible Iowa caucus-goers.
ReplyDeleteDo those who assert otherwise, whose candidate has half (or less) the national numbers, look desperate? Absolutely.
What will it take for Cruz supporters to realize that Trump-bashers of every stripe are not necessarily pro-Cruz? Quite the opposite. Unless, as insiders, they know something we don't. They declare their hatred for both, but as stated above, cannot stop talking about Trump. He dominates, whether he's present, or not.
It's not a bandwagon. It's not stupidity. It's not abdication of principle. It's not being brainwashed. It's not about the man, but what he represents, and distrust of those who try to form opinion, then lose deliberately to advance an agenda they lied about - one they swore they'd fight - again, and again, and again.
It's also about disdain for the parasites whose living is playing the opinion game within that framework, and who clearly don't get it, and who clearly will not shut up. There's too much money at stake.
You, like them, can simmer for your principles, and lose. Again. Only, we ALL lose when you succeed. Please grasp that. Good Lord, please.
+1 well said.
ReplyDeleteImagine the debate, sans Trump. Rubio is being grilled, and the Gang of Eight thing comes up. Does ANY of the candidates on the stage say "which by the way, was heavily lobbied with enormous monetary and rhetorical support from THIS network" or anything like it? Certainly not. That's not how the "game" is played.
ReplyDeleteTrump is so far outside of the game, as Rush has noted, that they don't know WHAT to do with him. Would Trump have said such, or a version of it? Likely not, out of manners, avoiding being rude to his host - not out of respect for the "game." But by his actions, and through the great reporting of others, the agenda is exposed, and with it, the duplicity that Americans are so very sick of.
That's the kind of command we need in the presidency, at this time.
Doug, how do you explain this carefully perceived and catalogued documentary evidence beginning from the 2014 elections, of Ted Cruz's mind blowing betrayal of the Tea Party, and conservative American's, and their support of him, that was critical in his winning election to Congress?
ReplyDeleteA deal made with the Devil that forever compromises Sen. Cruz, and his ability to ever deal in good faith or be trusted as a honest man, never mind trusted as a non corrupted elected representative of the will of the people. This is an incredible expose of lies and deceit, a time line of official election documentation and video evidence of how co-opted and corrupt the GOP machine is and the lengths it is going to to deny we of the people our vote, voice and will.

It has been revealed that Fox News has been hiding the fact that FNC VP Bill Sammon, in charge of the debates, has a daughter working for the campaign of establishment-backed Rubio.
ReplyDeleteSimilarly, it's also known that Rupert Murdoch is the co-chair of what is arguably one of the most powerful immigration lobbying firms in the country, the Partnership for a New American Economy, a prime lobbyist for the Gang of Eight open borders push.
It's not enough to throw stones from a glass house, they openly plot (Megyn's show) and MOCK the man who publicly OWNS them every time he is challenged. But go ahead, believe he's "afraid" of answering questions. It's NewsCorp that should be asked questions.
The Daughter of our Republic sees the fixed date and has prepared for the Prom accordingly with new shoes, a dress, corsage, transportation, the grand entry, the acceptance speech, hell - even new undies, a bra and distinct perfume. So who do they think they are to disrupt the procession by arguing about servers and secrets? To allow an out of control Agency to interfere when history is being made is unacceptable; and for the new America, it's un-American.
ReplyDeleteAmerica thinks hooking up with Trump is the answer, the same way a 16 year old thinks marrying a porn star is a future. But, reality differs from perception, I think the public is begining to see it.
ReplyDeleteTrump is a conservative in the sense that he espouses political values that were once important to both parties, before the Marxists infiltrated the Democrat party in the 60s and steered it hard left.
ReplyDeleteIn the early 20th century, Democrats actually fought the left as a matter of principle. They were very patriotic, and they volunteered for the military, and they lost their lives in WWII fighting the left. The Nazi's were leftists. For several decades after the war ended the average American---Democrat or Republicans---remembered exactly how evil the left is.
Now, generations of Americans have been brainwashed by leftist teachers into forgetting our history, and a neo-communist sits in the White House, destroying the foundations of our country with every stroke of his pen. And too many Americans believe this is a good thing.
Visit the American Presidency project (http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/platforms.php) and read both party platforms from 1960. You will no doubt be surprised to see that Trump espouses around 20%-25% of the ideals and policies expressed in the 1960 Democrat Presidential Election platform, ideas that are now considered hallmarks of right-wing extremism. (That's how far left the Democrats have strayed.) I'm speaking particularly of the topics National Defense, World Trade, The Communist World, Economic Growth, and Small Business. You'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference between the Democrats of 1960 and the Republicans of 2016.
So, Trump is a conservative. He holds political opinions that were once shared by most Americans 50 years ago, which was a much more conservative age.
Give me a man who loves his country. Trump 2016.
