Whoa, an unusually heavy anti-Trump selection today Doug. And the cherry, images of an arm with bruises.
ReplyDeleteSolid dude, solid.

BTW I noticed another one from a #NeverTrump bot, Shapiro-Fur happened to run this today-kinda puts old Ben in another light doesn't it? Ahh that would be the light of a hypocrite Doug. But that seems to be the kind of support that a hypocrite like Cruz will draw. I mean c'mon, if I had Glenn Beck out making speeches for me, I'd hide my head in a brown bag.
Fur asks,
This pundit is a notorious Trump loather, but not so much in 2011, when they were a Trump lover. What happened, exactly?
Townhall-
For well over a year, I, along with the rest of the conservative base in America, have lamented the lack of decent possible Republican presidential candidates. Despite the fact that he has run the most incompetent administration in history, President Obama remains a solid bet for re-election in 2012. Obama’s frontrunner status springs from two crucial facts: first, by overexposing himself in the public eye, he has made himself larger than life; second, the Republican field is pathetically weak.Mitt Romney has about as much charm as a Ziploc bag, and his support for Romneycare in Massachusetts should immediately put him out of the running. Though brilliant, Newt Gingrich is chameleonic and impossible to peg down to principle; therefore, he’s unacceptable to many primary voters. Sarah Palin is polarizing; Haley Barbour bears too strong a resemblance to Deputy Dawg; Mike Huckabee isn’t interested in running, and his religious background makes him a beloved target of the secular press; Tim Pawlenty makes Ben Stein seem colorful.
The Republican field has not been this wide open since … well, since 2008. Sadly, the intervening three years have not cleared up any questions.
If Republicans were to construct an ideal candidate, he would have to be rich beyond belief — Obama is going to raise $1 billion for his next election campaign, and no Republican candidate has the ability to come close to those numbers without deep pockets. The ideal Republican candidate would have significant name recognition with the general public — no Republican candidate has ever won the presidency without significant name recognition going into the primaries since Warren G. Harding in 1920. The ideal Republican candidate would have stage presence, an intimidation factor, and a willingness to play dirty.
In the last several weeks, that ideal Republican candidate has materialized.
His name is Donald Trump. His slogan is ready-made: “You’re Fired.” He does not give a damn what the media thinks of him — he steamrolled Meredith Vieira during his NBC interview with her last week. He can self-fund to the tune of $1 billion.
And what’s more, he can win....

ReplyDeleteClassic. Thanks Z :)
QOTD for tomorrow.
ReplyDelete"Definitive Video...
Now with audio synced to the video. *
Oh and we have Trump's constant exhortations to beat up protesters too.
Weaklings and cowards feel like empowered supermen when in a crowd.
I didn't join the conservative movement to become a fascist." --Ace
Oh, and Z, I've already made one administration's enemies list... if I criticize a hypothetical President Trump, I fully expect to be sued, threatened and/or muzzled.
ReplyDeleteI didn't sign up for the Democrat "Fairness Doctrine", and those Trump supporters who back his efforts to sue the media and silence free speech are, in essence, backing fascism.
I'd love to hear the true blue Trump supporters think about his attacks on the First Amendment.
Well you asked for it...
ReplyDeleteGo follow the link that Ace started from and apparently hasn't followed up on. They now have several more videos of the incident and it turns out it was an over-zealous security guy, probably a little paranoid because of the promised "hit on Trump" coming in from several sources.
If you had been doing due diligence work and watched the actual videos of Trump rallies, you would have seen that in pretty well each one withing driving distance of of a BLM group, protesters showed up INSIDE, waited until DT began speaking, and turned loud and violent. Spitting, cussing, pushing, striking with fists, etc... As many rallies as DT does per week, remarks once every week or two is justified and nowhere near "constant".
Now your buddies at Redstate are calling for taking a gun to DT rallies to shoot his supporters, and yeah, I saw the article myself. Are you howling at the moon about that? Almost ALL of you major "independent alt-media" bloggers turned on DT within two days of each other, piling on with entire establishment, turning him into 1984's object of hate.
You know what you have helped create. DT and or his supporters will end up hurt or killed because you helped make it acceptable to view them as mere objects to to hate.
Like Pontius Pilate, you can wash all you want, but you'll never have clean hands again.
BTW, I see that the "real outsider" Cruz hired several key Jeb! staff and I personally listened to Jeb!s brother shrill for Cruz on CNN while he blamed the victim(s) for the violence committed after the rally was canceled by the thugs organized by BLM and the communist group organized to elect Bernie, among others.
Fine bunch of bedfellows you have there. I m sure your kids would be proud of you.
Me, I'm ashamed. Deeply ashamed that you had me fooled enough that this was my number one or two site for years and years. How could I have been so stupid not to see what you really are?
Its your site. I expect no this to be deleted VERY soon. L've got no problem with that. I probably will never be back anyways. Would rather visit Charlies football place. Crazy beats this all to hell.
To the above anon-one thing I'll say for Doug is that I've never been censored(besides the occasional great car links)-he let's you speak your piece and even occasionally will pipe up in the comments. Like you said, it's his site and he's free to support whomever he chooses.
ReplyDeleteAs for Doug's reference to Trump's supposed trampling of the 1st Amendment, how about old Ted blaming Trump for the cancellation of his own rally last night in Chicago? 1A for me but not for thee huh Ted?
Yeah
