The saddest part is that I am sure many, if not all of these criminals, were actually guilty of much more but overworked courts pled them down
ReplyDeleteThe data does not support the implication of the headline, that Obama pardoned criminals so that they could avoid punishment.
ReplyDeleteFor example Stephen Lee Arrington, 2nd from the top. He served 3 years starting 9/2/83, so he was out of prison in 1986. Obama did not pardon the sentence served. This pardon only changed the record of the conviction 23+ years after that person was released. Maybe that criminal had changed his life by 2009.
I don't see any case where Obama's pardon changed the sentence, only the historical treatment. This is not comparable to pardoning Arpaio.
I didn't like Obama as President, and I can't know if I agree with his pardons without more information. Arpaio seems to have run a harsh jail with many deaths and abuses of prisoners. I don't agree with Arpaio's pardon.

Sheriff Arpiao was ordered by a judge NOT to enforce the LAW. He was then found in contempt of court for continuing to enforce the law.Scum-bag Eric Holder was held in contempt of congress for lying under oath and refusing to answer questions asked in legitimate oversight of the corrupted Justice Department under Holder's direction. Do you support scum-bag Holder being sentenced to prison time for the FELONIES he committed?
