CHILLING: It Looks Like the Obama FBI Secretly Embedded a Spy in the Trump Campaign

It's been like pulling teeth, but Devin Nunes and Trey Gowdy have finally levered the FBI into revealing the name of a "source" related to the Russian "collusion" probe. Kimberley Strassel at the Wall Street Journal has published the stunning report.

[It appears that] the FBI secretly had a person on the payroll who used his or her non-FBI credentials to interact in some capacity with the Trump campaign.

This would amount to spying, and it is hugely disconcerting. It would also be a major escalation from the electronic surveillance we already knew about, which was bad enough. Obama political appointees rampantly “unmasked” Trump campaign officials to monitor their conversations, while the FBI played dirty with its surveillance warrant against Carter Page, failing to tell the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that its supporting information came from the Hillary Clinton campaign. Now we find it may have also been rolling out [covert agents] to infiltrate the Trump campaign.

Which would lead to another big question for the FBI: When? ... [W]hen precisely was this human source operating? Because if it was prior to that infamous Papadopoulos tip, then the FBI isn’t being straight. It would mean the bureau was spying on the Trump campaign prior to that moment...

...I believe I know the name of the informant, but my intelligence sources did not provide it to me and refuse to confirm it. It would therefore be irresponsible to publish it. But what is clear is that we’ve barely scratched the surface of the FBI’s 2016 behavior, and the country will never get the straight story until President Trump moves to declassify everything possible. It’s time to rip off the Band-Aid.

The cockroaches are scurrying as the lights come on in the house. Strassel is right: it's long past time to declassify everything related to the Clinton email probe and the "Trump/Russia collusion" scam.

  2. This is getting banana republic unreal. No doubt Mueller has access to any and all information gathered by this source. And if that is the case, if anything illegal or actual collusion was going on Mueller would have had this case wrapped up a year ago.
People need to start getting frog marched and about the entire Senior Executive section of the FBI and DoJ need to be fired.

  3. Republicans can dream up the wildest of conspiracy theories! An Obama spy in the Trump campaign and somebody knows who but will not tell!

But let's wash the feet our our obviously dishonest president and, for God's sake, prevent Mueller from finishing his investigation that has already gotten more charges and more guilty pleadings than any of the more recent special counsel investigations.

Trump and his oleaginous vice president continue to tell us how supportive the administration is toward law enforcement while attacking federal police led by fellow Republicans. Not a word from president or Pence about the "the personal attorney of Donald Trump" now up to his eyeballs in wire fraud.

  5. Heads need to roll. With the firings, no retirement packages. Nothing. Let them all depend on deep state book deals. I'll bet m any won't make the cut, and that swamp system will be cut off as well, even privately. Would lve to have seen Comey as a Walmart greeter. Something had better give, or it'll go hot.

Gotta do something about the paid or useful idiot trolls online. Don't respond to them directly. I hear paid trolls are down to a dime a response. Trying to throw things off.

  6. Dr Goebbels and Reichsfuhrer-SS Himmler smile.

PS People who call themselves things like gadfly think everybody thinks they're both witty and disinterested.

    Wrong on both counts.
