The Single Chart That Proves Just How Well Gun Control Works

Which is to say, gun control doesn't work.

And nothing short of traveling back in time a thousand years ago will remove guns from the world, in spite of all the Statist Utopians' wet dreams.

  2. Probably from the DOJ. Headed by "Kill me, Kill me, Kill me any, any, any time", Eric Holder.

  3. I've seen this chart on the web before, but never with a proper or verifiable citation. It might be from created from the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting data - try this link, which will allow you to search back to 1960:

    Thanks for reading!

I'd like to see the US population plotted versus time on the same graph - and a "murders per captita plot also.

Steamy, those numbers on the chart are per 100K population. The rate for 2011 was 4.6/100K.

It's fairly disreputable to claim to be 75% snark free when you're leading to a punchline. It kind of invalidates the motto. Just worth a mention...Like how the chart doesn't mean what the words above it say it means. Gun violence was never 'suddenly' a problem in 2004. Ever. Gun violence has been a problem since guns. They're used to kill things...or protect things from killer things...by killing them. Cause death is good. But not when it's related to people who spend money on better killing equipment.
