As I've said repeatedly:
I would vote for Donald Trump over the Democrat nominee in the event he is the GOP candidate. Because I would vote for a Sesame Street character over the Democrat. But remember: you will get what you pay for.
Do you want to help save our precious Constitution?
In my opinion, the choice is clear.
Alright, I am glad I saw this. Thanks for the public service.
ReplyDeleteVery clear and concise, please pass it on to family and friends... Thanks, Doug.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will convince exactly ZERO Trump leaners or supporters.
ReplyDeleteBut, *THANKS* for working so hard on the DIVIDE AND CONQUER of the Right,
so the GOPe will be able to broker the Convention and let !Jeb!
lose to Hillary.
TRUMP 2016
Trump has done far more to divide and conquer than this piece.
DeleteGood lord tRumptards are stupid. tRump has been doing ALL The dividing here. You're too blind to be objective.
DeleteWorthy of note.
Deletehttp://www.newyorker.com/humor/daily-shouts/lil-donald
ReplyDeleteThat is THE MOST CHILDISH list I have seen to date on these two.
ReplyDeleteGrow up, and show some shame.
Wow. This list is awful. Being a businessman in the deepest blue city of the country is one thing, and that was Trump then. However, as a candidate for office, he can say things he could never say before, and he does. Watch his rallies, read about his life, not media interpretations, and you'll see someone totally different from the picture being painted here.
ReplyDeleteSounds like what they said about Obama.
DeleteExactly Anonymous.
DeleteExcellent work Ben !.... I really do believe in my heart that Ted Cruz will win the nomination and then destroy Hillary and win the presidency I just have this good feeling so keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteSeems like the Trumpbots are about as deluded as the Ron Paulbots, refusing to allow any facts get in the way. They sound much like Obama supporters
ReplyDeleteTO William Teach
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame Cruz supporters are so willing to look the other way to THESE facts:
http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2016/01/20/campaign-watchdog-group-files-fec-complaint-ted-cruz-failure-to-disclose-goldman-sachscitibank-financials/#more-111291
I like both Trump and Cruz, but it turmns me off terribly to hear otherwise educated people use ****-bots as a pejorative on our side. It made sense with Obama supporters, but you lose credibility when you apply it so recklessly.
Cruz voted to allow executive order on the Iran deal. Doing so endangered the whole world.
ReplyDeleteGood to know the Goldman Sachs wonder boy TC will say one thing but do another. Hey but that's how the bought politicos roll
ReplyDeleteA secured loan is some kind of corruption? By this measure, Bill and Hillary's speech fees and foundation "donations" would deserve the death penalty... get a grip.
DeleteLet me come to the bottom line. What our Obese Federal government needs is a "Chain Saw" Dunlap .Our country is fine but over time, perhaps for good reason, we have devoted too much resources being used by the Federal government without critical need or urgent purpose in today's society. It is legendary how almost impossible it is to slay the "Great Beast", supported by entrenched interests and supported in turn by professional politicians. Trump's by line should be " It's the government, stupid". I am anxious to see Trump as an Al Dunlap. Don't be a chicken-little about Trump. After 4 years we can fire him then go back to the normal political process of selecting people who feel the politics of serving for the good of the nation is their urgent personal calling, not a wonderful job for social worker narcissists.
ReplyDeleteTrump has been attacked for so many things. Much of the criticism has been directed at his personality. Donald Trump may be mean, ill-tempered and arrogant—and perfectly sincere about it. He's not acting a part. All his detractors can do is grit their teeth and insult him.
Trump has spent his career as a developer and if you think executing large scale development with government oversight doesn't take brains or "political" talent you are woefully ignorant. Trump has not been trying to win a political popularity contest. He's putting his fortunes where his mouth is. I know it's easy and quick to belittle the fact he began with money as to imply anybody can be smart with a lot of money. It's not the money. Money and brains is a good combination and no money and no few brains is the lot of most of ordinary voters. Be honest about that. Trump is too smart to be stupid. .
Here's the point!. I want a "Chain Saw" Trump as president to cut costs and I have no objection to brutal cuts if necessary. Cut the Department of ____________. by 50 percent. [ You can name the department ]. If the average voter is blindly indifferent to the need to eliminate the public debt that only proves the political and economic ignorance of the average voter, into whose hand the fortunes of the country, for good or bad is sealed. I also fear this applies to many above average voters with letters after their names as well or we we go the way of Greece. Then what comes of all the wonderful social programs the liberals support? I trust you will be intelligent as well as educated to understand that inevitable outcome must be avoided or nothing matters whomever is elected.
In the past week the Cruz supporters have pulled out all the stops. Trump supporters are called "stupid" and worse, and plenty of biased comparisons are now popping up. I log into FaceBook and it is like I went to a liberal blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm undecided, and fine with Trump or Cruz. Either are FAR better than McCain or Romney - a sign the right is getting serious. Thank you Tea Party.
I assume as other GOP'er drop out, their support will go to Cruz and Cruz will glide right into the nomination. Only a few will go to Trump.
But that assumption exposes a lie: If the Jeb! supporters go to Cruz, then was Cruz really the anti-establishment and conservative candidate his current supporters claim him to be? Replace Jeb! above with Christie, or Kasich, or any of the others.
I'd like the Cruz supporters to start saying explaining what Cruz will do, and why they think he'll do it better than Trump. I'm open to this discussion, but only for another week or two.
Yep, i like both too. Honestly, cruz has no crossover appeal and we are guaranteed to lose the election. He is just not electable at this time, trump has way more swing voters then cruz. People can disagree, but I know many independent and minorities that like trump, but despise cruz. With that said if cruz gets nod, I will vote and support him, but his chances to beat commie or hiltery are super slim.
DeleteOk,let's start with what Cruz will do on thw issue of economics
DeleteCruz thoroughly supports the pro-growth “supply side” economics embraced and promoted by Reagan, Jack Kemp, Art Laffer, Steve Forbes, Larry Kudlow, and Steve Moore. Cruz has proposed a specific, detailed tax reform plan developed with the assistance of Art Laffer and Steve Moore, which I think is the best tax reform plan proposed by any of the Presidential candidates.
The Cruz tax reform proposal would scrap the current income tax code entirely, and replace it with a Simple Flat Tax with the same 10% rate for all forms of individual income. That same 10% rate would apply to wages, profits, capital gains, dividends, rent, and interest income. No one would be able to claim that billionaires are paying lower tax rates than their secretaries, or that the system is rigged to favor the rich over the middle class.
The corporate income tax would be abolished as well, replaced with a 16% Net Business Tax. That would include immediate expensing, or deductions, for the costs of plant and equipment, and all other capital investment. That promotes investment in worker productivity, which is the foundation of rising wages, and in businesses providing good paying, blue collar jobs, like heavy industry, mining, energy, farming, ranching and manufacturing. But there would be no more corporate welfare, special interest, credits and deductions, or crony socialism, as under the current corporate income tax.
The 16% Business Flat Tax provides sufficient revenue to abolish the payroll tax altogether, with Social Security and Medicare financed in full from these two Cruz flat taxes, with no funding shortfalls. The payroll tax is the biggest tax working people and the middle class pay today, more than the income tax for the bottom 60% of income earners. That provides major tax relief for business as well, particularly the small and medium sized businesses that create most new jobs on net, since both the employer and employee payroll taxes initially come out of the cash flow of businesses.
On spending cuts and balancing the budget, Cruz has already proposed $500 billion in spending cuts over 10 years, with a plan abolishing four federal departments, plus the Internal Revenue Service, and 25 more named federal agencies. Those include the Departments of Energy, Commerce, Education (sent back to states in block grants), and HUD.
DeleteCruz’s budget plan includes sweeping entitlement reform. Cruz has been the indomitable leader in advancing the repeal and replacement of Obamacare. Gone would be the individual mandate, the job killing employer mandate, and all the other unnecessary regulation increasing the costs of health insurance and care. Costs would be further reduced through the market incentives of Health Savings Accounts, consumer choice, and competition. The poor would be better taken care of by block granting Medicaid back to the states, ultimately involving more Health Savings Accounts, consumer choice, and competition. So would coverage for pre-existing conditions. This would save the economy at least another trillion dollars each year.
The enormously successful 1996 welfare reforms can be expanded to all of the $1 trillion a year means tested welfare programs through further block grants to the states. States would have powerful new incentives to promote work for the able bodied particularly among the bottom 20% in income. That would further promote booming economic growth through tidal waves of new labor supply into the economy.
Cruz mentioned at the October debate that he would propose the freedom of each worker to choose a personal savings and investment account to finance future Social Security benefits. The Chief Actuary of Social Security scored a similar plan introduced by Paul Ryan in 2004 and 2005 as generating savings and investment by working people all across America of nearly $8 trillion over the first 15 years, and $16 trillion over 25 years. That would do more to reduce inequality of wealth than everything dreamed up by Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren put together. All that capital investment would create millions more jobs and higher wages, through increased economic growth.
Through a lifetime of savings and investment in those accounts, seniors would earn higher, not lower, benefits, multiples of what Social Security even promises let alone what it could pay. Each would be free to choose their own retirement age, with market incentives to delay it for even higher benefits. This alone would involve the largest reduction in government spending in world history, as Social Security benefits would be financed through private financial markets, rather than the federal budget through tax and spending redistribution.
Cruz has a plan to reform the monetary policy and the Fed. Cruz raised in the October debate as well fundamental reform of the Federal Reserve, to restrict its wild monetary policy discretion by firm rules holding its course to maintaining a stable dollar. He suggested a commission to determine whether that should include a link to gold. Such guaranteed dollar stability would further draw investment from across the entire globe, as investors would know they would be paid back in dollars as good as the dollars they invested. Indeed, as good as gold.
DeleteOn Deregulation
The most important deregulatory policy for creating another economic boom is to unleash the private sector to produce plentiful supplies of low cost energy. That would provide a lower cost foundation for the entire economy, effectively equivalent to another major tax cut.
America enjoys the resources to be the world’s number 1 producer of oil, natural gas, and coal. That would involve thousands and thousands of high paying jobs in those industries alone, and trillions over the years in revenues from those industries to federal, state and local governments.
But the reliable low cost energy supplies they produce would create millions of new jobs throughout the entire economy, and ultimately trillions in new revenues due to the economic boom that low cost energy would support. Such low cost energy is critical to manufacturing in particular, which is critical to restoring good paying jobs for blue collar workers.
Due to new breakthroughs in the technology of “fracking” in oil and gas production, private producers have so far overwhelmed Obama’s regulatory barriers intended to stop them. In April, 2014, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) introduced the American Energy Renaissance Act, providing for comprehensive liberation of energy producers to maximize energy production, job creation and prosperity for America, with a House companion bill introduced by Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK).
The Climate Change narrative supposedly justifying so much of Obama’s anti-energy regulation has been thoroughly rebutted by Climate Change Reconsidered II, comprised of three, one-thousand page volumes of objective, dispassionate, non-political, peer reviewed science, published by the Heartland Institute. The climate has changed since the Earth was born, and will continue until the Earth is gone. That change is controlled by natural causes, not by mankind’s comparatively puny effects.
Further powerfully pro-growth deregulation would be achieved by Repealing and Replacing Obamacare, and Dodd-Frank runaway overregulation. Cruz also favors the REINS (Regulations of the Executive In Need of Scrutiny) Act, proposed by Senator Rand Paul. That would require approval by both houses of Congress before any regulation from the Executive Branch with an impact on the private sector of $100 million or more could become effective. That would have stopped dead all of the runaway EPA regulation we have seen under Obama.
Here's the Complete Pro-Growth Plan
DeleteThese Cruz economic policies include all the four components of the Reagan economic recovery plan:
--Reduced tax rates to promote economically productive activity;
--Deregulation, to reduce regulatory burdens and barriers on such activity.
--Reduced federal spending, to reduce the federal drain on the private sector;
--Stable dollar monetary policy, to maximize investment from across the globe.
Here's his Foreign Policy and National Defense
DeleteIn the December debate in Las Vegas, Cruz embraced the original Reagan foreign and national defense policies, focusing on advancing America’s security interests around the world, rejecting Bush’s Neoconservative policies of sacrificing American lives and treasure replacing foreign dictators with human rights, birthing new democracies, or nation building jobs and prosperity in foreign lands.
Or, as Wall Street Journal columnist Bret Stephens explained it on December 15, “[T]he purpose of U.S. foreign policy cannot be to redeem the world’s crippled societies through democracy building exercises. Foreign policy is not in the business of making dreams come true—Arab-Israeli peace, Islamic liberalism, climate nirvana, a Russian reset. It’s about keeping our nightmares at bay. Today those nightmares are Russian revanchism, Iranian nuclearization, the rise and reach of Islamic State and China’s quest to muscle the U.S. out of East Asia.”
When Wolf Blitzer asked Cruz at the debate whether his policy would be “to preserve dictatorships, rather than promoting democracy in the Middle East?” Cruz answered by explaining, “I believe in an America first foreign policy, that far too often President Obama and Hillary Clinton – and unfortunately more than a few Republicans – have gotten distracted from the central focus of keeping this country safe….We need to focus on American interests, not on global aspirations.”
Cruz later added, in supporting Rand Paul’s well-articulated opposition to regime change, “The question of whether we should be toppling dictatorships is asking the wrong question. The focus should be on defeating our enemies. So, for example, a regime we should change is Iran because Iran has declared war on us. But we shouldn’t be toppling regimes that are fighting radical Islamic terrorists….” Cruz explained the roots of his foreign and defense policies in Reagan, saying “We need a Commander in Chief who does what Ronald Reagan did with communism, which is he set out a global strategy to defeat Soviet communism. And he directed all of his forces to defeating communism.”
If you don't think Cruz has integrity let's put that to the test.
Ethanol. Cruz in Iowa bravely spoke out against the corporate welfare scandal of ethanol, which under so-called “Renewable Fuel Standard” regulations, refiners are forced to mix into gasoline, and consumers are consequently forced to buy. Tariffs protect American ethanol producers from foreign competition. American ethanol producers also receive billions in tax credits each year. That consistently reflects the long standing opposition to government bailouts and handouts for private, for profit businesses, by Cruz and his Tea Party base.
It takes almost as much energy to produce a gallon of ethanol as the amount of energy in a gallon of ethanol. About 40% of the U.S. corn crop is used for Ethanol. Hence its appeal in Iowa. It can be produced from sugar cane, as in Brazil, and from other possible foodstuffs.
But burning food for fuel is not wise. The growing production of Ethanol is causing food prices to rise, which quickly forces out of the market the poorest people who need food for food. That effect is felt not only within America, but worldwide, as environmentalists in the West promote so-called “alternative fuels,” from America to Europe to South America, to Australia and the Far East. The effect on food prices has caused riots, and even revolutions, in the Third World.
There couldn’t be a more crass example of crony socialism. But Trump spoke out in favor of this policy atrocity in Iowa, in an effective attack on Cruz. Now the Ethanol mafia in Iowa is attacking Cruz, led by long time Iowa Governor Terry Bransted. Is the economy of Iowa really dependent on such corporate welfare handouts?
This is a real test for Cruz, the Tea Party, Republican primary voters, and the Evangelical base of those voters in Iowa.
Natural Born Citizen. The U.S. Constitution provides that to be eligible to hold the office of President, a candidate must be a “natural born citizen” of the United States. That language simply means a citizen by birth, as opposed to a citizen by naturalization. Cruz was born in Canada. But his mother at the time was a citizen of the United States, born in America to U.S. citizen parents. So Cruz qualifies to hold the office of President as a “natural born” citizen.
DeleteNote that the Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1790, passed by the same Founding Founders who wrote the Constitution in 1787, which was ratified in 1789, stated, “And the children of citizens of the United States that may be born beyond Sea, or outside the limits of the United States, shall be considered as Natural Born citizens.” That settles the matter. Some conservative activists who are not even lawyers, insist on playing amateur Supreme Court Justice, and reading the language “natural born citizen” narrowly to require a natural born citizen to be born of two parents who are citizens of the United States. Cruz, whose father at birth was not a U.S. citizen, but a citizen of Cuba, would then not qualify.
But for a conservative activist to read the Constitutional language narrowly, in a way that actual Supreme Court Justices are unlikely to follow, to exclude the most consistently conservative, viable candidate, is perverse. Requiring both parents to be citizens at birth would also exclude Marco Rubio, and Trump himself, whose mother at his birth was not an American citizen, but a citizen of the United Kingdom.
Why would any conservative vote for the erratic Donald Trump, with no grounding in conservative policy or philosophy, and no history of conservatism, when they can vote for one of the sharpest minds ever elected to Congress, the proven political winner Ted Cruz, who has been steeped in conservative policy and philosophy from an early age, and raised with the training and development to be one of the most skilled advocates for conservatism in history? You can’t tell where Trump is going to come out on any issue. But you can be sure of where Cruz is going to stand, based on his consistent public record of conservatism.
No one has ever been elected President before who had never previously held public office, except for Generals who led American troops to victory in major wars, such as Dwight Eisenhower and Ulysses S. Grant. It is Donald Trump, a billionaire, career, real estate developer, who would be a perfect foil for the Democrats, who is not qualified to run for President of the United States.
Now, do any of you know what Trump's plans are?? Besides making deals and making America great again?

i think you are prejudice on Mr. Trump
ReplyDeleteSame old Rino Establishment Mark Levin crap.....Cruz for amnesty ..Cruz for TPP and on .... Cruz needs to get to the back of the bus and shutup ...along with Limbaugh and other Trump bashers
ReplyDeleteAfter the GOP RINO lies from 2014, 2010 ..GOP landslide win... no more trust in any Rino Fool.. enough of such crap as in listed table.. it don't mean JACK to voters that have been crapped on by the likes of Paul Ryan, Bittch McConnell and Washington Establishment since 2009
Anon-8:00,
ReplyDeleteYeah, Levin is a big supporter of the RINO establishment, right.
So Trump is now secretly meeting with GOPe insiders and defending Mitch McConnell. Click the links in the story above. Mitch McConnell is already working deals with Ryan and Trump.
The GOPe has decided that the bankers control Trump with the billions he owes them. They have leverage. What do you think Trump is going to do when the bankers yell "jump"?

DeleteI would add that Trump did not donate money or skills to help 9/11/2001.
ReplyDeleteThat is a huge negative in my eyes. In the first place, he could have afforded to help. In the second place, he chose to exploit 9/11/2001.
I'm glad to see this is an open blog that accepts Conservatives that are for Mr. Trump; unlike Poltibrew. I had never posted there before, and expressed my thoughts concerning Mr. Trump over Cruz. I had no idea how narrow minded they were; unless you liked Cruz; then your comment might be deleted and you might find yourself banned also. This was my comment. Their responses were rude, to which I said, "Well that's what makes America great; you have your opinion, and I have mine". And for these two comments, I was banned. No one wants an extremist blog like theirs. jmo. I truly believe Mr. Trump is the only person who can get our Nation back on track. Unfortunately, if you are a Trump supporter; don't bother posting to Politibres. Freedom of speech is not allowed there.
ReplyDelete"Sorry to disagree, but I strongly do. Where is the equal time for Trump ads, which frankly, blow Cruz right out of the water?.
Mr. Trump tried to give Cruz constructive criticism concerning his citizenship. Cruz took it the wrong way and has been talking trash about Trump ever since. Cruz said he'll "pledge" to do this... and "pledge" to do that;....but with no substance.
Mr. Trump is the only candidate who will not accept any contributions over $50- $100.00. He does this because he said that if you accept large campaign donations, then they own a piece of you. So true! He can not be bought out by special interest groups;.. he truly loves this nation and it's people; and will close and secure our borders,.. will rebuild our Military and our Economy; and will clean House of all the Dems/ Socialist supporting terrorist. God bless Mr. Trump; our next and best President! :)".
Trump isn't being bought, he is just cutting out the middle man. This is a cost saving initiative for him. He doesn't have to pay off politicians if he is the one at the top.
ReplyDeletePeople really want to be upset that some Cruz supporters have name called, others are upset and call this childish... Have you actually listened and watched Trump in the debates? He is like a 12 year old. Trump when he didn't get his way "They treated me bad", stomp feet and threaten to run as an independent. I will take my ball and go home. "Ted Cruz is worse than Obama" he said that today. "I am not saying I think he isn't eligible to be president, I am just saying that there are people that think that." As much as Trump likes to sue people, he would be all over a lawsuit to get Ted Cruz off the ballot with him. But he doesn't like to lose, so he won't do it as he knows he won't win.
In July 2015 Trump did an interview saying he wanted to send all illegal aliens home, but then followed it up with "We will give the good ones and expedited path to citizenship and let them come back!" That is called "Amnesty" Listen to what he says outside of the 15 second sound bites. He says he supports a single payer healthcare system. Who else supports that, well, I am guessing most don't know, so I will enlighten you, Bernie Sanders. Look up what a single payer health care system is. All of these things are on video, on the internet, for people to find, if they only took the time to see what he is really about.
He did not like Ronald Reagan, he has said he considers himself more of a Democrat than a Republican, he has stated that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama were doing a great job. But we are all supposed to believe everything he said in the first 69 years of his life were all just political lies, that the real Donald Trump is the one who has got in front of the cameras and changed his stances in the last 6-8 months. Would you believe the same crap if Hillary come out and said it next week? We had a RINO in Mitt Romney 4 years ago, remember, he didn't like Reagan either, he claimed to be an independent just a few years prior to running on the Republican ticket, now we have an almost identical candidate, although he has been way more supportive of the left than even Romney was, and his supporters want to try to prop him up as Conservative. SMH and hoping people wake up to who this man really is.
For the Trump supporters, please show me one policy that Trump has come up with! One thing that he has any kind of a plan for, how does he plan to do it, or how will he be able to make any of his ideas work. Would like to see any substance and not just a sound bite of I will hire really smart people, the smartest, and we will make it work. No, I will just build a wall and make Mexico pay for it.
ReplyDeleteTrump was the owner of a football team and paid Doug Flutie a lot of money, more than any other player in his league was being paid at the time. Trump decided to bill the rest of the league for his salary claiming he brought a lot of good publicity to his football league. Interesting note though, he wasn't able to make them pay for his quarterbacks salary then either.
To Anonymous who hates Trump. You sound just like a libatard, who claims to be a Republican, named with the initials AD; who bans everyone who doesn't like Cruz; and calls them all trolls. AD is nothing more than a pompous twit who lies about everything, including his education. You're lies about Trump are beyond comical. Cruz needs to address his own citizenship before he tries to become President. Cruz was the first on the bandwagon to go to the borders and hand out teddy bears to all the illegal immigrant children. Trump is the only one who has not accepted campaign contributions of over $50 -$100.00; but you can't say that about Cruz or anyone else. Trump is the only one who said let's stop all immigrants from coming into our Country, until we have our borders secured and a better way of vetting them. Cruz is all for immigrants coming in droves to America; just like Obama. Cruz has backpeddled on many of his statements in the past.
ReplyDeleteWashington Post: "5 times that Ted Cruz swears he didn’t change his mind"
Ted Cruz, the campaign slogan goes, is the only “consistent conservative” in the 2016 Republican presidential primary.
Except, apparently, when he isn’t.
As the Texas senator has risen in the polls, he has come under new attacks from opponents, pointing out that his positions on key issues have changed over the course of the campaign.
Asked about five of those cases, the Cruz campaign explained why what looked like shifts in his policies really weren’t shifts. Or, if one was, the change was caused by circumstances outside Cruz’s control.
1. Should the U.S. military intervene in Syria?
Cruz’s past position: “We have no dog in the fight of the Syrian civil war.” (Late November, interview with Bloomberg News).
Cruz’s current position: Bomb Syrian territory until the sand glows. “We will carpet-bomb them into oblivion,” Cruz said in Iowa this month, speaking about Islamic State militants in Syria. “I don’t know if sand can glow in the dark, but we’re going to find out.”
Which sounds like: He has a dog now. Cruz now wants the United States to attack one major player in Syria’s multisided civil war — the Islamic State — while sending arms and aid to another set of players, the Kurdish militant groups.
But: Cruz says he hasn’t changed his mind. In fact, his campaign says, his two positions are entirely consistent . . . as long as you accept that America’s fight against the Islamic State doesn’t actually involve America in the Syrian civil war.
“We can target ISIS without getting involved in the civil war,” Cruz’s spokeswoman said, using another name for the Islamic State.
In Cruz’s mind, the spokeswoman said, the United States can destroy the Islamic State without being entangled in the broader fight between the Islamic State, other militants and the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. In essence, Cruz thinks it’s possible to pull a good war — with a clear enemy and a defined military objective — out of the bad war in Syria.

ReplyDeleteI am not trying to argue wether or not Ted Cruz is eligible to run for president. What I would like to point out is the hypocrisy of some conservatives. There was a large number throughout Obama's presidency that claimed Obama may have been born outside the US Trump included. I am not suggesting you, Limbaugh, or Hannity entertained the idea but there was a number of people that did.
Correct me if I am mistaken but i thought the crux of the matter was that if discovered that Obama was born outside of the US say Kenya then he would be ineligible to hold the office. Well if a person felt that way about Obama why is it any different for Cruz? We know he was born outside the US albeit Canada.
Again, if that was not what the birther issue was about than I stand corrected. But if that is the what the birther movement was about than every single person that questioned Obama's legitimacy should probably feel the same way about Ted.

Why after almost eight years of a tyrant are we so quick to elect another narcissist to the oval office. The cult of personality is identical to the 2007 phenomenon that gave us the mess we are in now. Denial of the truth. All I have heard from Trump are unrealistic plans that can't be implemented without the same tyranny that we've been living under for the past seven years. Don't you care about the REPUBLIC? We really need another leader who governs through executive fiat? "Well they did it so it's our turn". We really need a dealmaker in the oval office? Someone to work with Reid and McConnell? Cut a deal? God help us....

ReplyDeleteThe list is very selective It omits things like:
ReplyDelete* Wants to double legal immigration (primarily from Mexico, India and China) when the US already takes in more immigrants than the rest of the world combined
* Supported increasing H-1B visas by 500%
* Voted for Corker bill (Iran)
* Voted on TPA to reduce Senate passage to a simple majority rather than 2/3 for a treaty
* Co-authored WSJ op-ed with Paul Ryan supporting ObamaTrade
* Advised Bush43 on selection of John Roberts as chief justice
* Failed to properly disclose campaign loans (from Wall Street) as required by fede
Trump reminds me of the Dwarves in Narnia "The dwarves are for the dwarves")
ReplyDeleteTrump's "constructive criticism" masked as a token piece of advice rgarding Cruz's electibility is so bogus. He's hardly capable of constructive criticism - a term not to be confused with "Construction" LOL
ReplyDeleteYou're a bunch of sheep. Nothing but lies and mis-truths. Trump will be the nominee and you will not be welcome in the party. You are not conservatives, you just think you are. You're more left than right. Cruz is a flip-flop establishment politician that runs as a non-establishment politician. He's a great salesman, and you've been sold.
ReplyDeleteAn Open Letter To Mark Levin (#CultOfCruz ain't gonna like it)
ReplyDeletehttp://laurenstephens.com/
Donald Trump has attacked Ted Cruz roughly a billion times over the last week for having taken out loans from Citibank and Goldman Sachs. Like most everything Trump says, his attacks are short on facts and even shorter on making sense. He claims somehow that Cruz attempted to hide the loans, even though he openly disclosed them on public filings (just not the right ones).Trump definitely CAN be bought and he most certainly DOES owe LARGE AMOUNTS of money to some rather suspicious people.
ReplyDeleteThe Trump International Hotel and Tower, also known as Trump Tower Chicago and Trump Tower, is a skyscraper condo-hotel in downtown Chicago, Illinois.
The demolition and construction were financed by a 650-million-dollar loan from Deutsche Bank and a trio of hedge fund investors who represented George Soros as one of their sources of funds according to The Chicago Tribune.
The contribution by George Soros is a $160 million investment, in the form of a mezzanine loan, a kind of second mortgage that typically charges a much higher interest rate than a first-mortgage construction loan.
He’s made the nonsensical claim repeatedly that Ted Cruz can’t “protect people” from Citibank or Goldman Sachs or whoever, because he has taken out loans from them or personally guaranteed loans to his campaign from them.
I don’t know, I don’t feel like I have ever needed protection from Citibank or Goldman Sachs, but I digress. Because if that claim is true about Ted Cruz, it is also true about Donald Trump. I mean, of course it is. There is absolutely no way that a guy who has spent his life as a real estate mogul has not at one time taken out huge, major loans from every major investment bank in the country.
Donald Trump is “owned” by almost literally everyone according to his most recent financial disclosures. He has billions (with a “B”) of dollars of outstanding loans from virtually every major Wall Street bank, including Capital One, Deutsche Bank, ISB, UBS, and Merrill Lynch.
There is essentially not a major Wall Street entity that Donald Trump or his companies have not taken out loans from or received financing from. In fact, that’s more or less his entire business model.
If Ted Cruz is owned by Citibank and Goldman Sachs just because he once took out a loan from them, then what that means is that he is owned by a several fewer banks than Donald Trump is.
The question was… Can Trump be bought?
My answer is…. VERY MUCH SO & he ALREADY is.
As far as your stupid statement regarding TPP, he (CRUZ)actually voted against the TTP. He did vote to fast track it during the negotiation phase, based upon assurances he received, which weakened Congress' ability to stop it later when
the final product came out. He acknowledged this was a mistake, which led to his calling McConnell a liar on the Senate Floor.
You can argue that trusting McConnell and Obama's assurances on anything was dumb based on their track records. But Cruz does have a track record both of conservatism and doing what he says he'll do when he runs for office. And while others have cozied up to the left wing media and establishment GOP, Cruz has consistently confronted them at every turn, which is why they dislike him so much.
You should spend more of your time researching Donald Trump https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcx5MH93cDU
You don't see the Dem's fighting among themselves. It' the Gop, the one's that need to be working together that do this kind of thing, divide and conquer. Ted is a career government employee. Has a company failed that he ran? No, he never ran one. Does he owe millions? Who knows his wife is employed by Goldman Saks. I will vote for the Republican candidate that wins the nomination but at the very least get your facts straight, please, before you ask people sign something.
ReplyDeleteRenee`
Excellent list. As someone ironically said above, this list will not convince any hardcore Trump supporter. It appears that Trump supporters like that Trump was for amnesty before he was against it, for assault weapons bans before he was against it, etc.
ReplyDeleteBut let's just forget that Trump was DEMONSTRABLY liberal in the recent past and that maybe he finally wised up. Let's forget that he contributed serious money to Reid and McConnell (something, by the way, that was unnecessary to build his business since neither of those guys deal with building codes, casino permitting, local ordinances, etc. - no, he obviously donated to them because he likes their politics.)
Let's forget all that.
Instead, can any Trump fans please explain to me why he supports doubling ethanol subsidies??!?
Ethanol; the single greatest RINO/Liberal/environmentalist boondoggle scam currently running in this country. Ethanol; the poison that ruins engines, requires huge amounts of fossil fuel to produce, drives up the price of food, and costs us billions in tax dollars. Why in the world is Donald joining with the ultra RINO establishment types like Bob Dole to promote this stupid and insidious program? Trump certainly must know that ethanol hurts the little guy about as much as any federal mandate/subsidy. Furthermore, Trump has been saying he wants to get rid of the EPA yet at the same time, wants to double the size of a program that the EPA has to administer!
Either Trump has a screw loose or he's stupid. I don't think he's stupid.
But sure, you die-hard Trump fans go ahead and join with all the establishment jerks like McConnell, Hatch, Dole, Trent Lott, et. al. in your support of the Donald. As for me, I'm going anti-DC and anti-establishment all the way now that I see that Trump is the establishment's pick.
"I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose any voters, okay? It's, like, incredible," Trump said.
ReplyDeleteJust yesterday, Trump acknowledged that his supporters are no different than Obama's cult followers. He threw it right in their face and they all loved and applauded it.
Amount of Debt shown on Cruz - WRONG - $-0- due. Loan was on 2012 Senate campaign - PAID IN FULL.
ReplyDeleteIf the immigration doesn't stop, there isn't any country to conserve. That's all that matters now. Cruz is not going to stop immigration. Look at California to see the result if immigration is not stopped. We MUST build the wall and enforce our laws and turn the tide against the globalists!
ReplyDeleteGo Trump! Make America Great Again!
@GhostRider- thanks for the link to An Open Letter to Mark Levin, that was a good read. You're right, the Cruz crowd won't like it.

You missed the most important issue. Can Get enough votes to win. Trump yes. Cruz no.
ReplyDeleteWhat a WHINY, CHILDISH TEMPER TANTRUM
ReplyDeletefrom the desperate, flailing Cruz camp.
LET'S GROW UP AND AGREE ON THIS:
The GOP will manipulate everything in their power
(as they have already to derail Trump).
By March 15, when “winner take all” states
are first allowed in the GOP Primaries,
everyone should *sense* who is going to be the nominee.
Therefore, I ask every voter in such “winner take all” states
to vote for the clear leader at that time to avoid the distribution of votes,
allowing the establishment to throw the nomination
via a “brokered” convention to someone like Rubio or Jeb!
ReplyDeleteYou missed the most important issue. Can Get enough votes to win. Sanders yes. Cruz no.
Bravo DJROBB. The paid Trump zombies can't see the forest for the trees. They think all they have to do is flood the conservative Websites with their ridiculous propaganda and that will automatically sink Cruz. They lie, misinform and lie some more while never admitting the FACTS that have been exposed about Trump and his liberal democrat ideology. He is NOT, and I repeat, TRUMP IS NOT A CONSERVATIVE OR A REPUBLICAN. He is a lying shyster con-artist who has made a deal with the RINOs/GOPe and the democrats to get Hillary elected. If they can't have Jeb or Rubio, they would rather have Hillary than a constitutional conservative Christian like Ted Cruz.
ReplyDeleteTED CRUZ FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. 2016 AND BEYOND.
This is probably one of the most childish lists I have ever seen. What has politics come to? Bias lists concerning anything BUT politics? Interesting.
ReplyDelete#TRUMPFOR2016
Everything mentioned for Trump is negative, everything for Cruz is positive. In reality both have heir negatives and positives. Politics as usual.
ReplyDeleteAm amazed at the ignorant comments here.
ReplyDeleteMark Levin is most decidedly not a rino-establishment supporter.
Obviously you're not listening or reading.
Making such assumptions really does your credibility a great disservice.
Typical Trump idiocy on display in these comments. "Trumps gonna make America great again"... BULL! Trumps gonnna take care of himself and his crony buddies first, last, and always. You thought Bama was a bad dream, you ain't seen nothin yet. He's slimier than the greasiest used car salesman I've ever seen. I love the "Cruz doesn't have enough support to win" excuse. Mainly because EVERY poll so far Cruz has way out preformed. And his lack of large vocal support is due to the dirtbags who fear him because he IS A MAN OF HIS WORD, and they don't want him tipping their big-gov gravy boat. The ONLY attacks these buffoons have are half-lies and outright lies. So yeah go ahead and attack the primary and often only man who HAS stood againt Obama's scummy actions while Boehner, McConnell, Ryan, Grahm, and other "leaders" in GOP tuck'd tail and capitulated. I hope and pray you don't get your reality tv star into nomination, he's NO different than Hillary, only fewer dead bodies on his resume.
ReplyDeleteThat comparison chart shows just how unhinged the Cruz supporters have become.
ReplyDeleteWhen did it become personal? What drives you to attack fellow conservatives?
Do you really think you'll dislodge Trump voters with this nonsense? If so, when?
If you want a comparison chart of candidates based on conservative criteria and not emotions, check out the GOP Rankings Report at Ushanka.us. Published every two weeks since August.
You can disagree with the criteria, but you can also produce an objective report of your own.
While the Cruz supporters will call me "stupid" and continue their juvenile infighting, I will retain my anti-socialist focus.
Your a joke Doug. You and your dumb childlike views and anyone who agrees with you is just as dumb as you. Open your eyes you closet living dwarf, see the world experience it, open your horizons.
ReplyDeleteYou Present this as an honest "comparison" of the two candidates, but it is nowhere near that. This is nothing more than a political ad for Cruz. You should retitle this more honestly, "Why I hate Trump." Don't pretend to be presenting an honest issue my issue comparison when that isn't even close to what this.
ReplyDeleteNothing to back up these "Facts" Sounds like a Cruz fan came up with this.
ReplyDeleteYou forgot the most important distinction: Trump will nuke Denmark first chance he gets while Cruz would only carpet bomb them as needed. Carpet bombing would temporarily shut down cheese danish production, but nuking Denmark would permanently shut down cheese danish production forever. I for one believe access to cheese danish is a right that should never be threatened. Therefore, Rafael Cruz for President!!!

I just want to add three facts about Ted Cruz's eligibility to be President since he was born in Canada:
ReplyDelete1. Case filed against Cruz in Illinois - thrown out by judge
2. Case filed against Cruz in NY - thrown out by judge
3. Case filed against Cruz in Pennsylvania - thrown out by judge AND judge affirmatively declares Cruz is a natural born citizen.
Look it up!
I also want to state that ALL candidates - repeat ALL - have changed their policies on some issue or another. It does, however, make one think about a candidate that has been all over the map on EVERY issue (and been involved with every party!) and does not seem to have any foundation or base upon which to base his or her CURRENT thinking. In other words, I am not sure I want to vote for someone who has no basic philosophy other than "winning." What voter does not want to win? And should Trump become President, I feel very sure ANY deal he agrees to he will tell us is a win - because he says so. not from any objective measure - just because he says so. And anyone who does not agree is a loser.
Finally, as to the $1million loan from Goldman to Cruz - ANYONE who know finance knows this is what is called a "margin loan." In fact ANYONE reading this can easily get a margin loan from Goldman. ANYONE. All you have to do is give Goldman collateral in the form of stock or bonds. If you fail to pay the loan, Goldman keeps your stock and bonds. Period. Just like a mortgage. Period. They did not just hand him a million. Period.
One thing in common from all the Trump supporters on this list - they all just refuse to read and acknowledge facts. Just like Trump is devoid of substance - his followers ore mostly mindless drones.
