Carr vs. The Censorship Cartel

Brendan Carr doesn't ask permission. He moves.

The censorship cartel operates in plain sight. Facebook. Google. Apple. Microsoft. They decide what Americans can say. Fact-checkers run interference. Ad agencies strangle revenue streams.

FCC Chairman Carr is dismantling it.

Carr pushes transparency and accountability—not new mandates, just honest enforcement. The tech giants hate it.

Obama's net neutrality delivered government control, a bureaucratic chokehold. Carr voted to kill it. The market breathes easier.

The EU's Digital Services Act pressures American companies to silence American voices. Foreign interference in domestic speech. Carr pushes back. American sovereignty isn't negotiable.

On Our Ongoing Crisis

Anyone who is surprised by the Left's embrace of censorship and suppression of opposing political opinion has forgotten the Citizens United case.

You may recall Citizens United, which was decided in 2010 by a divided Supreme Court in a razor thin 5-4 decision.

Citizens United dealt with the non-profit's attempt to broadcast “Hillary: The Movie,” a documentary it produced that was critical of then-U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton prior to her run for the presidency.

Democrats argued the case was not about free speech, but campaign finance law.

The decision gutted the McCain-Feingold law (Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002), which prohibited "communications by broadcast, cable, or satellite within 30 days of a primary or 60 days of a general election".

It could have been called the Incumbent Protection Act instead, as it seemed targeted to ensure those in government would remain so.
