HUMILIATION: The Real Goal of Our Democrat Media Overlords

I have a question for you after you peruse the following quote by Theodore Dalrymple.

In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, not to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is...in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.

So my question is:

Does Dalrymple's description sound more suitable for the current state of our press versus that of a Communist society? Mark Levin was right, yo.       Hat tip: BadBlue Uncensored News.

GANDER: The 101st Airborne and the Arrow Tragedy of 1985

By Michael T. Flynn, Lt. Gen. (R) U.S. Army

GANDER: The 101st Airborne's Arrow Tragedy of 1985
Gander is a story of tragedy and tribute that resonates louder today more than it did when Arrow Air Flight R1285JW blew apart December 12th, 1985, carrying 256 souls (248 American Soldiers from the famed 101st Airborne Division and 8 Arrow Air crew members).

Author Saul M. Montes-Bradley tells a chilling and historic account of the events leading up to the tragedy, organizes and then describes details never seen since the investigation, and honestly describes the enemy we still face that claimed responsibility and likely caused this tragedy.

In modern times, we face a very dangerous enemy, one who has deep ties to enemies we faced in our past and some still trying to defeat our way of life.

Gander is an easy to read and understand book that screams out for a more serious debate on the true nature of the tragedy itself, if not to simply pay tribute to the fallen, then to better prepare readers to comprehend how political posturing can lead to future tragedies that could have even greater untold consequences.

Read this book!

MARK LEVIN ATTACKED: @NPR book reviewer @Annalisa_Quinn Must Resign or Be Terminated

You might think that an Amazon #1 bestseller -- as Mark Levin’s ninth book has become -- would merit serious reviews from serious people. Obviously, NPR’s choice of Annalisa Quinn, a sometimes contributor to The New York Times, is immediately suspect. Conflict of interest much?

As one might have guessed from minute zero, Quinn’s review of Unfreedom of the Press is not about Levin’s book, but undermining its premise through insult, not argument.

Beginning with ad hominem attacks and ending with emotional diatribes, Quinn’s “review” of an academically documented and nonfiction bestseller is an outrage, but -- as Levin has carefully outlined -- easy to have predicted.

The first two paragraphs of Quinn’s review do not, of course, touch upon the book itself.

They are instead meritless and poisonous attacks on the author. Excoriating the writer before even touching upon the content is the mark of an unserious reviewer. Further, Quinn’s characterization of Levin -- in the very first sentence of the review -- as “fringe” betray her inability to objectively review any book.

Consider: does a “fringe” character:

Sunday Night Recommended Reading

If you haven't read this collection by Mark Levin, I humbly suggest it's time you did. And buy a few extra copies for the progressives in your family. It's one of the few chances they'll have to red-pill themselves before it's too late.

BIFF SPACKLE: The Thesaurus Shoppe

A work of short fiction by summer intern Biff Spackle, who is apparently auditioning for a gig at The Atlantic. Complaints may be sent to our public editor.

Crestus Strawberry (of the Duluth Strawberrys) was an avid Scrabble player. So avid that he would, on a weekly basis, wager more than $500 a game.

It was his quest for better tools with which to defeat his lexographical opponents that led him one day to push open the wood-framed glass door of Gobert's Thesaurus Shoppe on Pine Street.

The quaint tinkle of a bell somewhere above his head made him pause, but only for a moment.

LIFE, LIBERTY & LEVIN: Communist China’s Hundred-Year Marathon to Eradicate America

Editor's Note: on Sunday nights at 10:00pm Eastern on FNC, Mark Levin hosts the most unique and insightful interview program seen in decades on national televsion: Life, Liberty & Levin. Interviewing a single guest for the entire hour, Levin explores guests' writings and philosophies in exquisite detail, putting to shame the 15-second sound-bite, dueling talking-head format employed by almost every other program.

MARK LEVIN, HOST: Hello America, I'm Mark Levin, this is "Life, Liberty & Levin." We have a wonderful guest, Dr. Michael Pillsbury. how are you sir?

MICHAEL PILLSBURY, DIRECTOR OF THE CENTER ON CHINESE STRATEGY, HUDSON INSTITUTE: Fine, thank you.

LEVIN: It's a pleasure. Now you wrote an amazing book, "The Hundred-Year Marathon: China's Secret Strategy to Replace America as the Global Superpower" that grabbed my attention because of its incredible relevance... This book has taken off in Asia, the Chinese have the book, although they keep it under glass.

You're a senior fellow, Director of Chinese Strategy at the Hudson Institute, a distinguished defense policy adviser, former high-ranking governmental official. You've written many books and reports on China. You're educated at Stanford, BA in History, with honors in Social Thought, Columbia University; MA, PhD.

During the Reagan administration, you were the Assistant Undersecretary for Defense for policy planning and responsible for implementation the program of covert aid known as the Reagan Doctrine, but you worked for Nixon, George H.W. Bush, Reagan, somewhat Obama, anyone else that I missed? That pretty much covers it?

PILLSBURY: Yes.

LEVIN: So you've spent your entire career, your professional career, really, focused on China, and I want to read you just a couple of sentences out of your book to elaborate on this for me...

The Fascist Roots of the Modern Left

By Dinesh D'Souza

In 1925 the Jewish philosopher Theodor Lessing spoke out against the repressive political climate of Weimar Germany.

Although Lessing’s explicit target was the cravenness of the Weimar regime of Paul von Hindenburg, his real target was the emerging power of Nazism, and he blamed the government for yielding to it.

The Nazis recognized immediately the threat posed by Lessing. Adolf Hitler youth at Lessing’s University of Hanover formed a “committee against Lessing.” They encouraged students to boycott his lectures.

Nazi youth then showed up and disrupted Lessing’s classes. Lessing was forced to give up his academic chair the following year.

In his account of what happened, Lessing later wrote that he could do nothing to prevent being “shouted down, threatened and denigrated” by student activists.

He was helpless, he said, “against the murderous bellowing of youngsters who accept no individual responsibilities but pose as spokesman for a group or an impersonal ideal, always talking in the royal ‘we’ while hurling personal insults … and claiming that everything is happening in the name of what’s true, good and beautiful.”

This was fascism, German style, in the 1920s.

The Remains

I fell asleep on a plane and dreamed this short story. I beg your indulgence.

David Miller was at his desk. The forecast was clear – an Indian Summer day – and he hoped to cut out of the office early and get home in time for Rachel’s soccer game. There was nothing funnier than watching a group of seven-year-old girls play soccer. One or two might get the idea, but most of them carefully circled the ball like a terrified school of fish. They moved slowly, in a symbiotic group, never making physical contact with anything.

His heart had swollen almost to bursting when Rachel had scored her first goal. In front of the opponent’s goalie, her tiny frame had suddenly appeared with a rebound and he had willed her to kick the ball in. When the white sphere came to rest in the back of the netting, he had jumped with fists raised, as though he was a benchwarmer for an NCAA team that had just clinched the championship.

LET THE HEAD CRACKINGS BEGIN: DHS Whistleblower Ready To ‘Drain The Swamp’ With Trump

By Ginni Thomas

A road-worn, devoted Department of Homeland Security (DHS) whistleblower and author is uniquely positioned to help President Donald Trump do the forensics on what is on the bottom of the swamp.

Since Phil Haney’s book, “See Something Say Nothing,” came out, he saw, felt and witnessed the rising up of Americans who coalesced at the ballot box to turn this country away from willful blindness, excessively loose immigration policies and failed counter-terrorism policies in the name of civil rights. Haney says, “people knew intuitively that something wasn’t right” in our government’s policies to keep Americans safe.

“I know where the valves are and people like me do,” the soft-spoken Haney — who traveled to 90 cities starting in Indianapolis, Ind. in April to Omaha, Neb. on Nov. 7, speaking to millions of worried Americans — says in this exclusive video interview for The Daily Caller News Foundation.

YOU KNOW THE NEW YORK TIMES IS ECSTATIC: Mark Levin's PLUNDER AND DECEIT Debuts at #1 in Non-Fiction

By Threshold Editions:

Mark R. Levin’s PLUNDER AND DECEIT will debut at #1 on the August 23, 2015 New York Times Hardcover Non-Fiction Bestsellers list. Published on August 4, 2015, this is Levin’s fourth consecutive #1 New York Times bestseller.

With PLUNDER AND DECEIT, Levin has struck a chord with readers through his message that a ubiquitous federal government is threatening the liberty and prosperity of the citizenry, and in particular younger people, which Levin describes as the rising generation. As is his hallmark, through his exemplary scholarship – in which he draws from history, philosophy, and evidence -- Levin powerfully analyzes significant issues threatening the well-being of the rising generation and future generations. In each chapter, Levin uniquely and thoroughly exposes the calamitous consequences of governmental policies, as he deconstructs one disastrous federal policy after another -- from the massive federal debt, out-of-control entitlements, the failing educational system, to open-ended immigration, job-killing minimum wage laws, anti-capitalist environmental regulations, and usurpations of the constitutional system. In the end, Levin calls for a new civil rights movement in which the rising generation stirs itself to act in its own defense and against the exploitation of statists, big government, and their devastating public policies.

Mark R. Levin, nationally syndicated talk-radio host and president of Landmark Legal Foundation, is the author of Liberty and Tyranny, the 38-week New York Times bestseller that spent three months at #1 and sold more than one million copies; and the #1 New York Times bestsellers The Liberty Amendments and Ameritopia [Ed: Graphic Novel Version Here]. His books Men in Black and Rescuing Sprite were also New York Times and national bestsellers. He has worked as an attorney in the private sector and as a top adviser to several members of President Reagan’s cabinet. He holds a B.A. from Temple University, where he graduate magna cum laude and Phil Beta Kappa, and a J.D. from Temple University School of Law School.

PLUNDER AND DECEIT: Mark Levin Pulls Back the Curtain on an Ominous Future for America’s Next Generation

Author, radio show host and Constitutional attorney Mark R. Levin has written a fifth consecutive bestseller. Entitled Plunder and Deceit, it serves as a comprehensive guide to one of the nation's great mysteries.

Why, for the first time in modern history, do the majority of Americans now believe that their children will be worse off than they are?

The reasons are manifold. Consistent with his prior works on topics of law and government, Levin describes a national political system that has completely unshackled itself from the Constitutional bonds that were intended to limit its scope and power. The hundred-year effort by the progressive movement to implement socialism in America has finally reached a terminal stage.

Americans are no fools; they know that, despite the government's best efforts to position economic data as good news, the future is very bleak indeed.

It is not simply the fact that the federal government is borrowing, spending and printing currency on a scale never before seen in world history. Its debts and unfunded obligations are, by some estimates, over $200 trillion and have accelerated from merely insane under George W. Bush to flatly suicidal at the direction of Barack Obama. It is certain that, without a rapid course correction, the economy is on the road to long-term collapse.

And, ominously enough, that is the assessment not of a right-wing pundit, but the very government auditors and trustees charged with fiscal oversight. The CBO, the OMB and the Trustees of Social Security have all sounded the alarm as the metrics that underpin government solvency rapidly unwind.

The financial health of the federal government aside, Levin points to a series of poor -- and, in all likelihood, unconstitutional -- decisions that have stolen powers from the states, localities and people and instead placed them in the hands of central planners in Washington.

PHOTO: Is there any better present than to get one of these in the mail?

I'm truly honored to have received a review copy of Mark Levin's breathtaking new book.

I will have a full review up after the embargo is lifted; but suffice it to say that every politician in America and anyone under the age of 30 must read this book.

You can pre-order it here.

I don't believe in reincarnation, but Mark Levin's career resembles nothing less than that of a modern-day Founding Father.

I, FOR ONE, WELCOME OUR NEW OVERLORDS: Say Hello to the New One-Party State

By Lawrence Sellin

Oligarchy is defined as a form of government in which all power is vested in a few persons or in a dominant class or clique; government by the few.

The oligarchy is composed of the Democrat and Republican establishments, the media and the financiers, who every four years hire a President.

The political system they operate is known as "totalitarian democracy", one in which lawfully elected representatives rule a nation state whose citizens, although granted the right to vote, have little or no participation in the decision-making process of government.

The main policy of the American oligarchy is malfeasance, the performance by a public official of an act that is legally unjustified, harmful, or contrary to law.

Or as Ambrose Bierce, a 19th century political satirist, described Washington D.C. as a strife of interests masquerading as a contest of principles and the conduct of public affairs for private advantage.

How did, for example, Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) manage to grow his net worth to $10 million while raising a large family, on a public official's salary, and incurring the expenses associated with maintaining two residences on opposite sides of the country?

According to Peter Schweizer ("Throw them all out: how politicians and their friends get rich off insider stock tips, land deals, and cronyism that would send the rest of us to prison"):

TRANSCRIPT: Mark Levin to State Legislators, "You are the last line of defense of liberty!"

Paul Bedard relays the highlights of a simply awe-inspiring speech by Constitutional Attorney Mark Levin

Wide-ranging decisions affecting virtually every aspect of life are being made by fewer and fewer masterminds in Washington, D.C., in an increasingly centralized federal government using a growing army of bureaucrats, a fourth branch of government if you will, to institute and enforce them.

More and more what the federal government does is insulate it from elections. If elections are one that advance the left’s agenda, then they’ll celebrate. If they lose the elections, elections are denounced as temporary inconveniences, and then they turn to the unelected federal institutions to advance their agenda."

In other words, the trajectory towards utopian statism, concentrated power, centralized government is never really checked or actually reversed, and the reason is, and the sad truth is, that we live largely under the post-constitutional government. This is no longer a federal republic, or a constitutional republic, or a representative republic. The federal constitutional representative character of the national government has been and are being expanded. We are mutating into something else.

In Washington today, we have an ongoing constitutional convention,” he said, “where one branch or another or the federal bureaucracy act far outside the limits imposed on them by the Constitution. And rather than the branches checking and balancing each other, they usually reinforce each other. And as lawless precedent is built upon lawless precedent, what remains of the Constitution’s firewalls are breached, and my question to you is, where does this end?

Well I’ll tell you where it ends – with you.

We are not without recourse, but the recourse is not in Washington, D.C. It’s not in federal elections. Why the hell would the very people who’ve done this to us reverse course? They like what they’re doing, and they’re going to keep doing it unless somebody speaks out and acts against them, and that’s you. There’s nobody else.

THE MOST SOPHISTICATED CYBER-WEAPON EVER DEVELOPED: New Stuxnet Details Revealed

Stuxnet is the name of the most sophisticated cyber-weapon ever developed. A software package designed to target Iran's Natanz nuclear enrichment facility, Stuxnet took control of centrifuges and surreptitiously slowed them down and sped them up to ruin both the centrifuges and the nuclear fuel.

The attack was so sophisticated that experts likened it to an F-35 fighter showing up over a World War I battlefield. Later leaks presumably orchestrated by the Obama administration revealed that Stuxnet was the product of a joint U.S.-Israeli operation initiated under the direction of President George W. Bush.

A new book reveals details about how the Stuxnet application penetrated Iranian enrichment facilities.

Matt Bracken Opens Up a Can on the Washington Post

On the night of the elections, the most transparent administration ever dumped more than 64,000 pages of documents related to Operation Fast and Furious, the ill-fated Obama gun-running operation.

The Washington Post -- in its usual effort to spin the news in favor of the administration -- failed to note that the documents were turned over only after years of litigation, pursuant to a federal judge's ruling against the Holder Justice Department for its patently bogus claim of "Executive Privilege".

Author Matt Bracken, commenting at WaPo's site, torched the Obama press release distribution outlet, and provided an excellent synopsis of the true motivation behind the eminently diabolical plot to eradicate the Second Amendment.

"The operation targeted Mexican gun traffickers, but two rifles involved were linked to the killing of U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry."

That is the official MSM Koolaid line, but it's a lie. Under Operation Fast and Furious, there was no attempt to track the guns after they crossed the border. We didn't even inform the Mexican government or law enforcement, or seek their cooperation in tracking the guns, because tracking the guns was not the objective. The objective was to buttress the false meme being promoted by Obama, Holder and Hillary Clinton that "90% of the guns found at Mexican murder scenes came from America." The actual objective, by spreading this lie, was to turn Americans against the 2nd Amendment.

300+ Mexicans and a pair of American agents murdered with F&F guns were the price Obama, Holder and Clinton were willing to pay. Mass murder abroad was the price they were willing to pay for a political objective at home. And what did we hear from American Pravda? Crickets. Operation Fast and Furious was pure evil, mass murder for political purposes, and the MSM was a willing partner.

American Pravda's motto today is "It's not a scandal if we don't report it!" "Look, a squirrel! Celebrities are having scandals! Pay no attention to our own government conducting a mass-murder operation to attain a political objective!" And with the help of the collaborating MSM, it worked.

The Washington Post just spent another week celebrating their Watergate scoops with the passing of Ben Bradley. How many people were murdered in the Watergate scandal? Zero, compared to 300+ Mexicans and at least 2 American federal agents.

And what do we get from the WaPo? Crickets, and an occasional article promoting the absurd cover story for Operation F&F, that it was intended to track the guns in Mexico.

Editor's Note: I recently finished Matt Bracken's outstanding trilogy on Kindle -- "ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC" -- and I can't recommend it highly enough. Buy it and read it now. Don't worry, I'll wait here.

BOOK: Biden got his job as U.S. Senator with help from a Mafia hit-man

Flashback by Labor Union Report

The book I Heard You Paint Houses came out in 2003, so it’s been gathering some dust on a number of bookshelves around the country for quite some time.

The book’s title, according to Amazon, comes from the first words infamous Teamster boss Jimmy Hoffa ever spoke to Frank “the Irishman” Sheeran. To paint a house is to kill a man. The paint is the blood that splatters on the walls and floors.

The book is essentially the deathbed biography of one-time Delaware Teamster boss and mob hit-man Frank Sheeran and truly is a fascinating read.

[Spoiler alert: Before he died, Sheeran claimed to be the one who killed his friend and mentor, Jimmy Hoffa--whose body was apparently later cremated.]

Despite the book purportedly being made into a movie called The Irishman, starring Robert De Niro , Al Pacino , Joe Pesci, as well as directed by Martin Scorcese, it has not been released yet.

While the book has been out for some time, it wasn’t until last night, during Joe Biden’s prime time speech, that I was reminded of some of the books contents, most notably this piece that appeared in the Orange County Register a few weeks ago:
