"ONE WAY OR ANOTHER": President Fires a Shot Over the Bow of Obstructionist, Pro-Crime Democrats

By Matthew Vadum

President Trump is growing impatient over the lack of progress bipartisan negotiators in Congress have been making in talks over funding a desperately needed wall on the nation’s porous multi-state border with Mexico – and this continuing failure makes another government shutdown increasingly likely this Feb. 15.

The GOP-controlled House of Representatives voted 217 to 185 on Dec. 20 for a spending bill with $5.7 billion for the wall. The measure floundered in the Senate and the partial shutdown got underway Dec. 22. The Senate remains in Republican hands but the House is now controlled by Democrats.

UNI-PARTY NEWS FLASH #8,208: GOP Budget Funds Sanctuary Cities

By Robert Donachie

Republican leadership is going to fund sanctuary cities in the must-pass spending bill next week, giving Democrats a huge victory while simultaneously undercutting conservatives who put them in power, a senior GOP aide told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“House and Senate leadership has rolled over and played dead on border security. When it comes to a border wall, they say it is not our problem. When it comes to funding sanctuary cities, they say it is not our problem. What they are essentially saying is we are going to pass bills with more Democrats than Republicans,” the aide told TheDCNF. “This is a sign to administration that leadership doesn’t care what the White House wants. Even though GOP members ran on these issues. Conservatives mean it. The administration means it.”

"SERIAL KILLERS": 4 Funniest Democrat Reax to Tax Cuts

By Caroline Lee Smith

Although millions of American families will receive a substantial tax cut under the Republican tax reform legislation, many politicians and pundits on the left insist the new law will enable the rich live high off the hog and kill off much of the rest of the country.

Yes, a lot of wealthy Americans and companies with billion-dollar bottom lines will receive considerable tax breaks under the new law. But as a number of recent reports have stated, when companies and their executives thrive, so do middle-class workers.

Case in point: On the same day Congress passed tax reform, multiple corporations announced they would give substantial Christmas bonuses to hundreds of thousands of employees. Others announced they would raise their minimum wage to as much as $15 per hour.

Sounds like a win-win, right? Wrong! Democrats in Congress and liberal pundits are now publicly opposing what will benefit millions of Americans just to try to save their own political hind ends in 2018.

THE OBAMACARE REPEAL DEBACLE: Center-Right Media Slams Mitch McConnell For His Latest Failure

By Will Ricciardelli

Senate Republicans — and not President Donald Trump — are in the center-right media’s crosshairs if the Senate fails to repeal Obamacare, all early indications show. Where in the Senate, however, the blame lies — liberals, conservatives, leadership — depends on where you look.

The Drudge Report, a powerful center-right web aggregator that was an early Trump booster, lambasted congressional Republicans, running the headline “most unproductive Congress in 164 years” at the top of the site.

The Obamacare overhaul looks like it may be torpedoed in the Senate after Republican senators from the left and the right of the party said they will vote against it.

7 Years of Promising Obamacare Repeal Leaves Republicans Just 1 Option

By Jarrett Stepman

Obamacare is failing.

It has done little to fulfill its original promise of producing more choice and lower costs, and worse, has set off a cascading set of problems that will increasingly hurt the American people.

When President Donald Trump was asked Tuesday if the bill to repeal Obamacare was dead, he responded:

I don’t think it’s dead, no. But I’m certainly disappointed. For seven years, I’ve been hearing ‘repeal and replace’ from Congress, and I’ve been hearing it loud and strong. And then when we finally get a chance to repeal and replace, they don’t take advantage of it. So that’s disappointing.

On Twitter, Trump also suggested that we should just let Obamacare “fail” so we can fix it later with a good health care plan.

COVERING PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS? Call It What It Is. Welfare, Not Insurance.

By Rush Limbaugh

Can someonte tell me why should insurance companies have to cover people who got sick and didn’t have insurance and now want to get — why should they have to cover that?

Do you realize doing that raises everybody’s premiums? That isn’t even insurance. If we want to provide insurance for people, preexisting conditions, set up a separate entitlement called the preexisting conditions welfare plan. It isn’t insurance, and it raises everybody’s premiums. It’s what’s wrong with this.

Do not misunderstand me, please, folks. I am not opposed to people with preexisting conditions being treated. We are a compassionate country. But it isn’t insurance...

PUT PRESSURE ON THE GOP NOW! Time to Pass a National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Law

By Mark Chesnut

In an educational op-ed posted Thursday at New York Daily News, criminologist and author John Lott makes the case that the previous day’s shooting at a GOP Congressional baseball practice proves why the country needs national Right-to-Carry reciprocity.

Lott, president of the Crime Prevention Research Center, said restrictive carry laws—like the one in Washington, D.C., forbidding nearly all law-abiding citizens from carrying firearms, even if they have permits from their home states—leave people helpless against attack.

MARVELOUS: Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) Introduces Massive Guestworker Program Plus Amnesty

By Grant Newman

On Thursday, Senator Ron Johnson (WI) introduced a brand-new approach to adding vast numbers of new foreign workers: state sponsored visas.

Under the State Sponsored Visa Pilot Program Act of 2017, states (or compacts of states) would apply for an initial pool of 500,000 “W” temporary guestworker visas for whatever skill-level of workers they want, regardless of their potential impact on American workers. Each state (plus D.C.) would receive 5,000 visas, then an additional 245,000 would be distributed proportionately based on the state’s population. If some states chose not to participate, their unused visas would be given to those that do participate the following year, ensuring that all the visas are handed out. Critically, unlike even the most flawed of existing guestworker programs, this new program establishes no uniform rules to offer even nominal protections for American workers.

RYAN, McCONNELL TO TRUMP: "You f***ed up, you trusted us"

By Dan Riehl

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) covered several topics with Breitbart News Radio SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Tuesday, including the possibility of a government shutdown, the border wall, and how Trump has done in his first 100 days.

Regarding the later, said Gohmert, “It goes back to the Animal House line, “Well, you messed up. You trusted us,” referring to Trump trusting in Congress.

FREEDOMWORKS: Time for the GOP to Stop Grandstanding and Follow Through With Their Campaign Promises

I think FreedomWorks has this absolutely right. The House GOP was happy to pass dozens of faux Obamacare repeal bills when they knew President Obama was poised to veto anything that hit his desk.

Now, when they have the actual power to force through pretty much anything they want (after all, the Democrats used every trick in the book to get Obamacare passed, including "budget reconciliation"), they fold like cheap accordians.

These weaklings, led by Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell, got elected by promising the American people they would eviscerate Obamacare "root and branch".

It's time these sellouts grew some spines and actually did something historic: follow through on their campaign promises.

OBAMA'S PARTNERS IN PEACE: We will turn Israel 'to dust'

By The Tower

A banner at an Iranian military parade Wednesday threatened to “turn Tel Aviv and Haifa to Dust,” The Jerusalem Post reported Wednesday.

Iran held military parades across the country to commemorate the start of the 1980 war with Iraq. At the Tehran parade, which was shown on state television, a banner on a military truck read, “If the leaders of the Zionist regime make a mistake then the Islamic Republic will turn Tel Aviv and Haifa to dust.”

REVEALED: Soros Money Led Directly to Passage of Senate "Gang of Eight" Amnesty Bill

By Chuck Ross

Left-wing billionaire George Soros’ non-profit network, the Open Society Foundations (OSF), is confident about the future success of its work in the field of immigration activism and may embark on a massive campaign on immigration issues in the near future.

That’s according to a candid 62-page document reviewing OSF’s work on immigration reform discussed in May at the group’s board meeting in Montgomery, Ala.

The document, which is one of 2,500 stolen from OSF in a massive hack and released over the weekend, shows that the Soros group believes that its $7.7 million investment in groups pushing for immigration reform was responsible for the passage of the Senate’s 2013 comprehensive immigration reform bill.

DEBUNKED: GOP Leadership Claim That the Senate is "Working" Just as Accurate as You'd Expect

By James Wallner

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., recently took to the Senate floor to boast that the institution was back to work.

His proof: A Washington Times report noting that the Senate has so far this year approved 73 bills that became law, compared to only 27 during the same period last year, and 53 in 2014 when the Democrats were in control.

Numerically, he may have a point. However, it’s a small one.

Confused Who Has the Majority in Congress? You’re Not Alone.

By Rachel Bovard

In 2014, Republicans won a majority in Senate. However, if you’ve been watching the Senate lately, you’d be forgiven for wondering who is actually in charge.

Democrats demand—and receive—amendment votes, while Republican amendments are stifled.

Democrats demand—and receive—amendment votes, while Republican amendments are stifled. Appropriations bills, ostensibly written by Republicans, come to the floor lacking any GOP priorities, while conservative efforts to amend the bill are set up to fail.

OBAMA'S PARTNERS IN PEACE: We Have 100,000 Missiles in Lebanon; "Opportunity to Detroy Israel is Now Better Than Ever"

It is now clear to even the most obtuse observers that Barack Obama misled the American people, treated the feckless Republican Congressional leaders like the fools they are, and basically behaved like a Bond villain in ensuring that the Iranian terror state could secure nuclear weapons.

Iran's leaders continue to celebrate the deal, most recently issuing public statements during an iftar meal to break the Ramadan fast. Each of Iran's leaders took turns calling for the destruction of the United States, Israel, and the West.

SORRY, FOLKS: Donald Trump Is the Washington Establishment

For the 840,000th time I must remind the hardcore Trump supporters that I am not, nor will ever be, a #NeverTrump drone. I would support Mr. Trump over Hillary Clinton, because I would support a four day-old tuna sandwich over Hillary Clinton.

There's an important opinion piece by former U.S. prosecutor and staunch Constitutionalist Andrew C. McCarthy that every GOP primary voter should read. You say you want the key graphs? Boom.

Donald Trump is the Washington establishment. The fact that he has not previously held public office does not make him an “outsider.” Hell, Reince Priebus — the head of the Republican National Committee — has never held public office. If the ruling class were just the officeholders, it would be short-lived. The Donald Trumps who pay the freight are the Washington establishment’s lifeblood. They are joined to the officeholders at the hip . . . or hadn’t you noticed Governor Christie shadowing The Donald?

GEE, I WONDER WHY THE VOTERS ARE ANGRY? GOPe sells out on... Common Core, of all things

By Genevieve Wood

To watch the recent happenings on Capitol Hill, you would think this was just another typical presidential election year—a few bumps here and there, but no sign of a major shake-up, no indication voters were in revolt, nothing to suggest business as usual in Washington was perhaps falling out of fashion among the American public.

What else explains the lackluster, uninspiring; and, I would suggest, “sell-out your base” agenda of GOP congressional leadership?

OPEN LETTER TO PAUL RYAN AND MITCH McCONNELL: We Demand You Defend the Second Amendment!

By Conservative HQ

If You Won’t Stand With Us Against Obama’s Threat To Our Second Amendment Rights, Why Should We Stand With You On Election Day?

As leaders of the Republican majority in Congress you have consistently betrayed America’s conservative majority and failed to fulfill your campaign promises to fight President Obama’s unconstitutional attempts to “fundamentally change America”:

Vote for the Candidate Both Sides Fear

By Brent Smith

Yes, Cruz is the real deal. No need to take my word for it. Just look and listen. It’s as Limbaugh says: the left and the establishment right will always tell you who they fear the most.

Sure, they hate both Trump and Cruz. The hatred for Trump is understandable, from their standpoint. He makes Republicans look bad. He’s intolerant and generally causes them embarrassment.

But the antipathy for Cruz is born of fear. They fear the end of the government gravy train if he gets elected. They fear that with Cruz at the helm, Americans may just discover they don’t actually need Washington involved in every facet of their lives. They fear an uncompromising constitutional standard bearer as head of the party.
