UNEXPECTEDLY: Medicare and Social Security Circling the Drain

The entitlement crisis, which will impact America's most vulnerable before all others, is headed straight for us like the asteroid from Armageddon. Seven years, at most, is all we have.

Remember the last time Republicans tried to address the looming entitlement crisis? Do you recall how the Democrats responded? Did they propose common-sense reforms? Raising the eligibility ages of recipients? Something, anything to attack the imminent crisis?

CONFIRMED: Paul Ryan was a #NeverTrump Turncoat

So the Left is having a hissy-fit over a comment by @realDonaldTrump:
So here’s the thing. It’s so terrible what’s happening. You know, the left plays a tougher game, it’s very funny. I actually think that the people on the right are tougher, but they don’t play it tougher. Okay? I can tell you I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump – I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough — until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad. But the left plays it cuter and tougher. Like with all the nonsense that they do in Congress … with all these investigations. That’s all they want to do is, you know, they do things that are nasty. Republicans never played this way.”
Bikers for Trump. Controversial.

The same nutjobs who never raised their voice when a certain Barack Hussein Dunham Soetero Obama said "if they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun."

More importantly than that faux kerfuffle, Trump acknowledged that ex-Speaker Paul Ryan was (it would appear) bought and paid for by the Left. To wit:

MARVELOUS: House Republicans Preparing to Commit Total Political Suicide Over Amnesty for Illegals

By Jim Simpson

Our flawed immigration system is one of the most pressing problems facing our nation today. The flood of illegals continuing to pour across our borders poses threats to our national security and brings an epidemic of crime, drugs, disease and countless other problems while border agencies are limited in their response.

Then-candidate Trump promised to build a wall to thwart illegal immigration and demanded legislative action to stem the flood of illegals. House Speaker Paul Ryan and fellow leftwing Republicans, along with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, have done nothing.

UNI-PARTY NEWS FLASH #8,208: GOP Budget Funds Sanctuary Cities

By Robert Donachie

Republican leadership is going to fund sanctuary cities in the must-pass spending bill next week, giving Democrats a huge victory while simultaneously undercutting conservatives who put them in power, a senior GOP aide told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“House and Senate leadership has rolled over and played dead on border security. When it comes to a border wall, they say it is not our problem. When it comes to funding sanctuary cities, they say it is not our problem. What they are essentially saying is we are going to pass bills with more Democrats than Republicans,” the aide told TheDCNF. “This is a sign to administration that leadership doesn’t care what the White House wants. Even though GOP members ran on these issues. Conservatives mean it. The administration means it.”

"SERIAL KILLERS": 4 Funniest Democrat Reax to Tax Cuts

By Caroline Lee Smith

Although millions of American families will receive a substantial tax cut under the Republican tax reform legislation, many politicians and pundits on the left insist the new law will enable the rich live high off the hog and kill off much of the rest of the country.

Yes, a lot of wealthy Americans and companies with billion-dollar bottom lines will receive considerable tax breaks under the new law. But as a number of recent reports have stated, when companies and their executives thrive, so do middle-class workers.

Case in point: On the same day Congress passed tax reform, multiple corporations announced they would give substantial Christmas bonuses to hundreds of thousands of employees. Others announced they would raise their minimum wage to as much as $15 per hour.

Sounds like a win-win, right? Wrong! Democrats in Congress and liberal pundits are now publicly opposing what will benefit millions of Americans just to try to save their own political hind ends in 2018.

THWARTING TRUMP: Top 9 Immigration Objectives Paul Ryan is Blocking

Delightful news coming to us from the Imperial City of Washington, where Speaker Paul Ryan (O-get it?) is reported to be plotting yet another major amnesty initiative.

Ryan is said to be using the humungous year-end spending bill as a Trojan Horse to conceal an amnesty plan for nearly 800,000 illegal aliens.

Fortunately, as Breitbart's John Binder reports, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) appears to be organizing serious opposition to Ryan's plan. In a brief tweet, Cotton said that it is “not just House conservatives” who will fight Ryan's plan, but also a range of Republican senators.

Binder also notes that Ryan's plan fails to address any of President Donald Trump's popular immigration priorities:

YEAH, RIGHT: House Intelligence Committee "Ramps Up" Probe On Obama Unmasking

By Richard Pollock

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence is ramping up investigation into former President Barack Obama administration’s campaign to “unmask” President Donald Trump aides who were incidentally surveilled in meetings with foreign officials, The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group has learned.

The committee is also intensifying a probe into Fusion GPS, a private “opposition research” company that distributed a salacious memo on Trump, called the “Trump Dossier.”

THE OBAMACARE REPEAL DEBACLE: Center-Right Media Slams Mitch McConnell For His Latest Failure

By Will Ricciardelli

Senate Republicans — and not President Donald Trump — are in the center-right media’s crosshairs if the Senate fails to repeal Obamacare, all early indications show. Where in the Senate, however, the blame lies — liberals, conservatives, leadership — depends on where you look.

The Drudge Report, a powerful center-right web aggregator that was an early Trump booster, lambasted congressional Republicans, running the headline “most unproductive Congress in 164 years” at the top of the site.

The Obamacare overhaul looks like it may be torpedoed in the Senate after Republican senators from the left and the right of the party said they will vote against it.

PUT PRESSURE ON THE GOP NOW! Time to Pass a National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Law

By Mark Chesnut

In an educational op-ed posted Thursday at New York Daily News, criminologist and author John Lott makes the case that the previous day’s shooting at a GOP Congressional baseball practice proves why the country needs national Right-to-Carry reciprocity.

Lott, president of the Crime Prevention Research Center, said restrictive carry laws—like the one in Washington, D.C., forbidding nearly all law-abiding citizens from carrying firearms, even if they have permits from their home states—leave people helpless against attack.

MARVELOUS: Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) Introduces Massive Guestworker Program Plus Amnesty

By Grant Newman

On Thursday, Senator Ron Johnson (WI) introduced a brand-new approach to adding vast numbers of new foreign workers: state sponsored visas.

Under the State Sponsored Visa Pilot Program Act of 2017, states (or compacts of states) would apply for an initial pool of 500,000 “W” temporary guestworker visas for whatever skill-level of workers they want, regardless of their potential impact on American workers. Each state (plus D.C.) would receive 5,000 visas, then an additional 245,000 would be distributed proportionately based on the state’s population. If some states chose not to participate, their unused visas would be given to those that do participate the following year, ensuring that all the visas are handed out. Critically, unlike even the most flawed of existing guestworker programs, this new program establishes no uniform rules to offer even nominal protections for American workers.

RYAN, McCONNELL TO TRUMP: "You f***ed up, you trusted us"

By Dan Riehl

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) covered several topics with Breitbart News Radio SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Tuesday, including the possibility of a government shutdown, the border wall, and how Trump has done in his first 100 days.

Regarding the later, said Gohmert, “It goes back to the Animal House line, “Well, you messed up. You trusted us,” referring to Trump trusting in Congress.

Why "repeal and replace ObamaCare" has always been a scam

By Lawrence Sellin

During every election cycle, to maintain the illusion of representative government, Republicans tell voters exactly what they want to hear.

After the election, successful Republicans candidates either simply ignore their campaign promises or offer legislation that provides the appearance rather than the substance of fulfilling those promises, usually in a form constructed to reward their real constituents, the special interests.

No one should be shocked.

MARK LEVIN SCHOOLS PAUL RYAN: This Failure to Govern is on You!

By Mark Levin

Mr. Ryan, you continue with your mantra, that the GOP is now a governing party not an opposition party. These are words that apply to you. You failed to develop a plan that embraced market capitalism and you did not involve the GOP conservatives in the early phases of drafting your plan. You tried to force this plan through, adopted a few changes, but mostly continued with big-government ideas and much of Obamacare's essential elements. The failure to govern is on the GOP leadership. And the failure to uphold the repeal promise with an actual repeal of most of Obamacare is also on the GOP leadership. These troubling circumstances could have been avoided.

Editor's note: I have no idea who Paul Ryan is actually working for, but I'm certain it's not the American people.

FREEDOMWORKS: Time for the GOP to Stop Grandstanding and Follow Through With Their Campaign Promises

I think FreedomWorks has this absolutely right. The House GOP was happy to pass dozens of faux Obamacare repeal bills when they knew President Obama was poised to veto anything that hit his desk.

Now, when they have the actual power to force through pretty much anything they want (after all, the Democrats used every trick in the book to get Obamacare passed, including "budget reconciliation"), they fold like cheap accordians.

These weaklings, led by Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell, got elected by promising the American people they would eviscerate Obamacare "root and branch".

It's time these sellouts grew some spines and actually did something historic: follow through on their campaign promises.

OBAMACARE: Will GOP Repeal and Replace It Simultaneously?

By William Teach

According to Paul Ryan, the answer is yes.

House Speaker Paul Ryan said Thursday Republicans plan to repeal President Barack Obama’s health care law at the same time they approve a GOP replacement plan.

“We want to do this at the same time, and in some cases in the same bill,” Ryan said during a town hall in Washington sponsored by CNN and moderated by Jake Tapper. “So we want to advance repealing this law with its replacement at the same time.”

PAUL NEHLEN AT PAUL RYAN'S MANSION: ‘Tear Down Your Wall’

By Julia Hahn

JANESVILLE, WI— Wisconsin businessman Paul Nehlen held a press conference on Saturday in front of Paul Ryan’s border wall surrounding his Janesville mansion. Nehlen demanded that Ryan either build a wall to protect the American people or tear down his own wall that protects Ryan and his family.

“Today, I am calling on Paul Ryan to live under the same conditions, which he’s imposed upon our American communities,” Nehlen said. He went on to absolutely pillory Ryan's wall:

Confused Who Has the Majority in Congress? You’re Not Alone.

By Rachel Bovard

In 2014, Republicans won a majority in Senate. However, if you’ve been watching the Senate lately, you’d be forgiven for wondering who is actually in charge.

Democrats demand—and receive—amendment votes, while Republican amendments are stifled.

Democrats demand—and receive—amendment votes, while Republican amendments are stifled. Appropriations bills, ostensibly written by Republicans, come to the floor lacking any GOP priorities, while conservative efforts to amend the bill are set up to fail.

OBAMA'S PARTNERS IN PEACE: We Have 100,000 Missiles in Lebanon; "Opportunity to Detroy Israel is Now Better Than Ever"

It is now clear to even the most obtuse observers that Barack Obama misled the American people, treated the feckless Republican Congressional leaders like the fools they are, and basically behaved like a Bond villain in ensuring that the Iranian terror state could secure nuclear weapons.

Iran's leaders continue to celebrate the deal, most recently issuing public statements during an iftar meal to break the Ramadan fast. Each of Iran's leaders took turns calling for the destruction of the United States, Israel, and the West.

DAY-AM: Anti-Paul Ryan Billboards Shred the Speaker's Sellout of Ordinary Americans

By Julia Hahn

Following last night’s historic Brexit vote, House Speaker Paul Ryan’s primary challenger, Wisconsin businessman Paul Nehlen, seems to have taken a page from the playbook of the U.K. Independence Party (UKIP) with the launch of a new billboard campaign.

On Friday morning, Nehlen’s campaign went live with a new billboard in Ryan’s hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin that is reminiscent of the distinctive UKIP-style campaign.
