Back in the late 90’s, someone had the bright idea to combine a simple adjective with a well-known noun. Fast forward twenty years and those two words haven’t been separated since.

SOCIAL: (adj) relating to human society, the interaction of the individual or the group, or the welfare of human beings as members of society social institutions

MEDIA: (noun) the main means of mass communication (broadcasting, publishing and the internet) regarded collectively

What a behemoth those two words have become. It has the power to connect, strengthen and enhance our lives, but used nefariously, it can disrupt, abuse and destroy a life.

China Ratchets Up Its U.S. Spying Programs

Russian efforts to corrupt American politics captivates the media, but they pay scant attention to the aggressive actions of the Chinese.  This under-reporting is concerning,  given the concerted Chinese efforts go well beyond the hacking of U.S. computers - an illegal activity of great concern - but they also extend onto the campuses of our universities.

There are, however, occasional acts of real reporting on Chinese espionage. One example comes from, the usually liberal and globalist publication, Newsweek back on May 20, 2015,  A New Cold War, Yes. But It’s With China, Not Russia. 

Another story worthy of mention is this from the Houston Chronicle reported on August 8, 2018, which reported: FBI warns Texas academic and medical leaders of ‘classified’ security threats.

Robert Mueller’s investigation into the 2016 presidential election is predicated on Russian intelligence having hacked the Democratic National Committee’s computers. Russia’s guilt is such an article of faith among our political class, that a Republican-controlled Congress imposed sanctions and President Trump signed on, substantially worsening relations with an important and potentially dangerous nation.

Outside the Acela Corridor, however, one finds more skepticism.

A lot of ordinary folks wonder why the DNC wouldn’t let any outside parties examine their server. Instead, the FBI accepted the word of CrowdStrike, a private contractor hired by the DNC, without any independent confirmation.

And a bunch of not so ordinary folks who know a thing or two about computers thinks there may be a simple explanation for the DNC’s unwillingness to let outsiders have a peek at the evidence: There isn’t any. The Russian hacking that’s caused so much division and turmoil at home and abroad never really happened. It was all a ruse.

EQUIFAX: You Had One Job

The credit reporting firm Equifax is one of the leading stewards of personally identifying information (PII) in the United States. It holds detailed information on virtually every American resident: Social Security numbers, income, credit scores, you name it.

It was revealed earlier this week that Equifax recently suffered a catastrophic security breach. At least 143 million Americans were impacted.

Well, as David Coursey observes, there could be a very rational explanation: "I am the FIRST person to say that your college degree doesn't define you, but this is funny. #Equifax #equifaxbreach".

Pakistani-born Imran Awan, long-time right-hand IT aide to the former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman, has since desperately tried to get the hard drives back, an individual whom FBI investigators interviewed in the case told The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group.

MARK LEVIN: Trump Not the First Victim of Obama Police State Tactics

If Donald Trump’s team was indeed the victim of politically-motivated surveillance and leaks by the Obama administration, it may not have been the first, says Levin.

“This whole Democrat ruse, media ruse has been used to conduct domestic surveillance,” said Levin of the Left’s pervasive, unsupported Russia-Trump conspiracy theories. “And it was done before; it was done widely before in the Iran deal.”

I want to circle back here to the story that just won’t go away, and it won’t go away because the Democrats have continued to try to make something out of nothing. Even, you know, that bobblehead figure, Adam “Shifty” Schiff, known affectionately here as the Pencil Neck. This guy last week went out there and said there is evidence of Russian collusion. He went out there and said it in an act of total desperation.

It turns out that Devin Nunes has been running rings around the Democrats, and it looks like they’ve known it all along, and the effort to get Nunes to, quote, unquote, recuse himself as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee or the effort to get rid of him in some other way obviously was undertaken to stop what he is doing and what he is learning. But yesterday on the Sunday shows, Pencil Neck Adam Schiff had to grudgingly admit yet again that there is still not one shred of evidence of any collusion between Trump and the Russians, not a shred.

REPORT: NSA To Provide "Smoking Gun" Proof Obama Spied On Trump

Yesterday, Republican Devin Nunez Nunes held an explosive press conference outside the White House in which he told reporters that communications from the Trump team were picked up and disseminated within the government during the 2016 campaign. 

Not surprisingly, the comments ruffled some liberal feathers and the mainstream media launched an immediate smear campaign calling for Nunes to resign his post immediately. 

Now, according to Fox News sources, Congressional investigators expect that a potential “smoking gun” from the NSA establishing that the Obama administration spied on the Trump transition team, and possibly the President-Elect himself, will be produced to the House Intelligence Committee as early as tomorrow.

Number two, we know that if a FISA warrant was secured, it is very likely in his daily intelligence briefing or a call from the Attorney General or the director of the FBI the president would be given a heads up. There's nothing illegal about it but he would have been given a heads up.
