MICHELLE MALKIN’S SCALDING CPAC SPEECH: The Game Is Rigged

By Michelle Malkin

I identify as an American. A proud, unhyphenated, unapologetic, fully assimilated American. My pronouns are U.S.A.

America is good and America is great. Of these basic truths, there is or should be little dispute among us here. But two questions loom large: 1) For how long will the America we grew up in remain good and great? And 2) To whom shall we entrust the existential responsibility of securing the goodness and greatness passed down peacefully for generations?

I wish I could stand here and chirp happily to you about positive news. Yes, unemployment rates are at historic lows, regulations and taxes are being cut, some stellar judges have been confirmed, and the reckless, feckless liberal media has finally, finally self-immolated like a slow-motion downing of the Hindenburg.

"THE RESISTANCE": When, Exactly, Did Democrats Begin Refusing to Accept Election Results?

By Rush Limbaugh

We had a presidential election that Trump won. It was a duly constituted and fair election. There has been no evidence — there’s not a shred of evidence anywhere — that there was any kind of fraud or chicanery resulting in Trump’s win or that explains Trump’s win. Now, in the old days, when a party won the presidency, the out-of-power party accepted it, went along with it, and tried to make adjustments to win the next time.

And they did their best to politically obstruct the winner and his party from advancing an agenda. But despite that, there was a comity or there was a unity about us all being Americans. There was an acknowledgment that there are winners and losers and that it can change with every election. And trying to win every election became the objective. Of course, you can’t win them all. But some years ago, when the left began losing elections, they refused to accept it. Now, this is not a minor point.

MARK LEVIN: Trump is the Most Conservative President Since Reagan

By Mark Levin

Can you imagine – we’re not even done with the first year, what’s been going on here – what this man Trump might be able to accomplish?

And the reason I and so many of you are celebrating so much of what he’s doing is because so much of what he’s doing is conservative.

So much of what he’s doing is conservative – trying to rein in regulations. I don’t agree with this tax plan, but still, he’s trying to cut taxes. He’s trying to secure American sovereignty, which includes, like any country that seeks to survive, securing our borders for crying out loud. He’s trying to deal with North Korea, which hasn’t been dealt with in any significant and serious way by past presidents, all of whom have appeased the various family members running that country. He’s trying to address Obama’s complete historic sellout to the Iranian regime. He’s trying to address that through the Obama deal by triggering the appropriate sections of that deal.

And I could go on. If you’re a conservative, you must admit that Donald Trump has been more conservative than you anticipated, which is why most conservatives – I’m not talking about self-aggrandizing, pseudo-conservatives who worked for Bush or self-aggrandizing, pseudo-conservatives who were a part of the Never Trump movement. I’m not talking about them. They’ve got their own agendas and their own psychological issues. When you look at this honestly and objectively – and remember, I supported Cruz in the Republican primaries, so I know of what I speak – you have to conclude that Donald Trump is the most conservative president since Ronald Reagan.

The Inexorable Slog to the Fourth Turning

By Jim Quinn

“The next Fourth Turning is due to begin shortly after the new millennium, midway through the Oh-Oh decade. Around the year 2005, a sudden spark will catalyze a Crisis mood. Remnants of the old social order will disintegrate. Political and economic trust will implode. Real hardship will beset the land, with severe distress that could involve questions of class, race, nation and empire. The very survival of the nation will feel at stake. Sometime before the year 2025, America will pass through a great gate in history, commensurate with the American Revolution, Civil War, and twin emergencies of the Great Depression and World War II.” – Strauss & Howe Fourth Turning

This Fourth Turning was ignited suddenly in September 2008 as the housing bubble, created by the Federal Reserve and their criminal puppeteer owners on Wall Street, collapsed, revealing the greatest control fraud in world history. A crisis mood was catalyzed as the stock market dropped 50%, unemployment surged to highs not seen since 1981, foreclosures exploded, and captured politicians bailed out the criminal bankers with the tax dollars of the victims.

WASHINGTON POST COMES CLEAN: Admits Obama Turned Iraq and Syria into Nightmarish Hellholes

By William Teach

The following is a very interesting admission by the Washington Post Editorial Board, in that they are finally letting its readership know that Barack H. Obama made a catastrophic mess of Syria and Iraq. Now that he’s out of office, of course. But there is certainly an ulterior motive: they simply want to establish a way to bash Trump on Iraq and Syria, creating a situation where they can forget about the “inherited problem” meme they allowed Obama to get away with for his first four (or eight) years in office, a concept they even marketed themselves.

5 Reasons Hurricane Harvey Could Be Far Worse Than Anticipated

By Nick Bernabe

Preparations and evacuations are currently taking place along the Gulf of Mexico as Hurricane Harvey — now a Category 4 storm — readies to slam into the Texas coast. The United States has been mostly spared from any major hurricane damage in recent years considering the last time a major (Category 3 or higher) hurricane made landfall in the continental U.S. was in 2005 when Wilma wreaked havoc on Florida shortly after Hurricane Katrina decimated New Orleans over 4,000 days ago.

But this time around, the sensational claims from meteorologists and media outlets alike may have more credibility.

10 Crazy Conspiracy Theories That Became Conspiracy Facts

By Jake Anderson

Generally speaking, conspiracy theories form where there is a vacuum of verifiable facts associated with a controversial, usually tragic event. The concept has evolved over the years and is a part of our popular culture. There are legions of conspiracy theorists and “truthers” who have devoted their lives to certain theories, and there are legions of skeptics who have devoted their lives to debunking those theories. All the while, conspiracy theories of every stripe and variety festoon the footnotes of history. Even the origin of the phrase itself is subject to conspiracy theory, as some researchers have argued that the CIA invented and promulgated the term in order to marginalize fringe thinkers and neutralize investigations.

TIME BOMB: Does Anyone In Washington Even Care That We Are 20 Trillion Dollars In Debt?

By Michael Snyder

There has been a tremendous amount of talk about the spending deal that was just reached in Congress. Most of the focus has been on who “won” and who “lost” politically, and if you have been keeping up with my articles you definitely know my opinion on the matter.

But what nobody is really talking about is that this deal actually increases spending at a time when our debt has been absolutely exploding. We added more than a trillion dollars a year to the U.S. national debt during Obama’s eight years in the White House, and our debt binge actually accelerated toward the end of his second term. In fact, the national debt increased by more than 1.4 trillion dollars during fiscal 2016

THE INFILTRATOR: How George Soros Destroyed the Democrat Party

By Daniel Greenfield

It was the end of the big year with three zeroes. The first X-Men movie had broken box office records. You couldn’t set foot in a supermarket without listening to Brittney Spears caterwauling, “Oops, I Did It Again.” And Republicans and Democrats had total control of both chambers of legislatures in the same amount of states. That was the way it was back in the distant days of the year 2000.

In 2016, Republicans control both legislative chambers in 32 states. That’s up from 16 in 2000.

What happened to the big donkey? Among other things, the Democrats decided to sell their base and their soul to a very bad billionaire and they got a very bad deal for both.

JIM QUINN WARNS: Obama and the Democrats Have Strapped a Fiscal Suicide Belt to the Entire Country

Writing at The Burning Platform, econ blogger Jim Quinn offers a comprehensive summary of the fiscal time bomb that Barack Obama and the Democrat Party have bequeathed to this and future generations. Read the whole thing, but here are some nuggets to raise your blood pressure a couple of dozen points.

Quinn covers, among other things, what real inflation looks like:
The Fed narrative of no inflation, supported by the sliced, diced, manipulated, massaged, hedonically and seasonally adjusted drivel produced by the government drones at the BLS, has benefited from the almost two year decline in gas and oil prices. That is now reversing itself, as gasoline prices have risen at an annualized rate of 20% over the last three months. It is poised to rise by 30% to 40% year over year in the next few months. Even the Deep State government bureaucrats are having trouble disguising raging inflation in expenses affecting average Americans on a daily basis.
How about the real housing situation?

TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME: Democrats believe in democracy only until they lose an election

By Daniel Greenfield

Like all dictators, the Democrats believe in democracy only until they lose an election.

And then they lose their minds.

The last time a national mental breakdown this severe happened was sixteen years ago when Bush beat Gore. The Democrats reacted gracefully to their defeat by insisting that they didn’t really lose because Bush stole the election. Psychiatrists were soon tending to lefties suffering from depression. Others protested outside the Florida Supreme Court, President Bush’s home and their parents’ basement.

Jesse Jackson accused Republicans of a “coup.” Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson warned that "without justice there will be no peace." Thousands protested Bush’s inauguration waving signs like, “We want Bush out of D.C.” and “You’re not our president.”

The Congressional Black Caucus tried to obstruct the certification of the Electoral College vote. Then when Bush won again in the next election, they did it all over again. Expect them to try it one more time.

SAUDI GOVERNMENT IMPLICATED: Feds Release the Mysterious "28 Pages" Missing From 9/11 Report

By Tyler Durden

Unleash the revisionist history. Congress released on Friday a long-classified report exploring the alleged ties of the Saudi Arabian government to the 9/11 hijackers.

The missing 28 pages from the 9/11 report begins as follows:

"While in the United States, some of the September 11 hijackers were in contact with, and received support from, individuals who may be connected to the Saudi Government..."

DONALD TRUMP: My Jobs Plan

By Donald Trump

We are thirty miles from Steel City. Pittsburgh played a central role in building our nation.

The legacy of Pennsylvania steelworkers lives in the bridges, railways and skyscrapers that make up our great American landscape.

But our workers' loyalty was repaid with betrayal.

Our politicians have aggressively pursued a policy of globalization - moving our jobs, our wealth and our factories to Mexico and overseas.

Globalization has made the financial elite who donate to politicians very wealthy. But it has left millions of our workers with nothing but poverty and heartache.

Help us Obi Wan Romney, you're our only hope!

By Lawrence Sellin

Jay Cost, a writer for the Weekly "NeverTrump" Standard, penned an article begging Mitt Romney to run for president as an independent candidate in 2016.

According to Mr. Cost, at this critical juncture in our nation's history, the country needs not a Washington, Jefferson or a Lincoln, but - brace yourself - a Martin van Buren.

Well, if it is a Martin van Buren you are seeking, then I guess Mitt Romney is your guy; a man who lost the Republican nomination to John McCain in 2008 and, after securing the nomination in 2012, proceeded to lose an eminently winnable election against a feeble Barack Obama, only by exceeding that feebleness, running a campaign of monumental timidity.

The New York Times Fails Logic Class, Chapter 46,080

By Karl Denninger

There's an old saying that goes something like this:

"One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results."

That would fit the NY Times editorial board.

INFOGRAPHIC: Mr. Obama Claims the Prize as the Greatest Gun Salesman in World History

Spotted at Western Rifle Shooters Association, this helpful infographic summarizes the wonderful popularization of gun ownership, the rampant weakening of unconsitutional gun control laws, and the ascent of concealed carry among the American population.

Obama's legacy will include, at a minimum, the following historical benchmarks:

• The appreciation of Smith & Wesson stock by a mere 1,100 percent (coulda, shoulda, woulda)
• Increasing Black Friday gun sales each and every year since 2009
• A tripling of aggregate gun sales when comparing the Bush and Obama administrations

Well done, President Nobel Peace Prize!

See the entire infographic here.

Every Republican Candidate is Hitler

By Daniel Greenfield

“Except for Adolf Hitler's extermination of the Jewish people, the American bombardment of defenseless peasants in Indochina is the most barbaric act of modern times.”

That quote didn’t come from some Soviet hack coughing up copy for Moscow, but from Democratic presidential candidate George McGovern (some years later, McGovern would compare the Communist massacres in Cambodia to the Holocaust and call for some of that barbaric military intervention).

EXHIBIT #93,060: The GOPe Just Doesn't Get It

By Sara Noble

The establishment Republicans could make me into a Trump supporter. Establishment leader Karl Rove – the Architect – proved once again that there is a good reason why they’ve disenfranchised the base.

Mr. Rove was on the O’Reilly Factor Wednesday evening and was asked by Bill O’Reilly why he doesn’t like Donald Trump.
