The first rule of business is, business - meaning that we're hired, or used because of the excellence of our work or the niche we fill. Mixing politics with business causes people to make choices about us based on aerie political beliefs and not business. It appears RBG rarely went to work caring more her belief system than the Law and for that I will happily kick her to the curb.
