A historic drug bust led by multiple authorities from New York and New Jersey has resulted in the seizure of $2.4 million worth of heroin and the arrest of four dealers tied to Mexican drug cartels.
On Wednesday authorities arrested Oscar Rene Felix, 38, of California and John Ulloa, 35, of New York for conspiracy to distribute heroin, according to New York’s Pix 11.
Authorities also arrested Anthony Ross Koon, 54, from Colorado, and Alan Martin Alderman, 71, from Nevada, for heroin possession and intent to distribute. The arrests were the result of a three-month investigation into Mexican cartel activities in New York and New Jersey, according to the New York Daily NewsThe investigation was conducted by the New York Police Department, the New York Joint Drug Enforcement Task Force — which is comprised of both local and federal law enforcement authorities — along with New Jersey State Police, according to Newsday.
Authorities found 31 kilograms of heroin packed in bags and $14,000 in cash in a hotel room in Secaucus, N.J. where the four men were apprehended, according to reports.
