BOOM: Articles of Impeachment Filed Against Rod Rosenstein

Today, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC), along with 9 cosponsors, introduced Articles of Impeachment against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

The impeachment articles come as evidence continues to mount regarding the Department of Justice’s problematic decision-making during the 2016 campaign and conduct surrounding the transition to President Trump’s administration in 2017. The impeachment articles are the result of nearly 9 months of unsuccessful congressional attempts to force the Department of Justice (DOJ) to comply with oversight requests.

The failures cited within the articles include intentionally withholding embarrassing documents and information, knowingly hiding material investigative information from Congress, various abuses of the FISA process, and failure to comply with congressional subpoenas, among others.

GOP Congressional investigators are furious after former FBI attorney Lisa Page issued a statement through her attorney notifying a jount House panel that she would ignore a subpoena to appear on Wednesday because she wasn't allowed access to documents by the FBI.

Page's attorney, Amy Jeffress, claimed that "Lisa and I went to the FBI today to review the materials that were previously produced to Congress related to her propsed interview, but after waiting for more than three hours, we were not provided with any documents."

I did some research on the story alleging that our warrior patriot, Rep. Jim Jordan was aware that his wrestling team members were being molested and did nothing about it. I'll share that now.

1. You must admit that the timing of this breaking news defies credulity.

2. Jim Jordan has made things a little uncomfortable for our DAG and I can't help but wonder if this 'investigation' into allegations involving a sports team doctor who died 13 years ago could be on the order of a little 'tit for tat.'

3. I wondered how it was possible to investigate the actions of a dead man until I read that Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said his next step would be to determine if there was criminal obstruction —if the alleged misconduct was properly reported and then ignored.

Rod Rosenstein's Telling House Testimony

Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Chris Wray testified yesterday before the House Judiciary Committee. It proved interesting. Very interesting. And informative.

At the start, Representatives Sheila Jackson Lee and Jerrold Nadler repeatedly questioned the validity of the hearing. Following the break, Points of Order were loudly raised (particularly by Ted Lieu) as Strzok testimony was raised in questioning by Rep. Ratcliffe.

Democrats appeared unusually nervous and remained contentious throughout the hearing. Almost as if they were worried over what Rosenstein might have to say…

I’m awaiting a transcript as there appeared to be many subtleties and nuances throughout the hearing.

There are many opinions regarding Rosenstein. I have gone back and forth myself.
