“Tonight we can report exclusively based on two separate sources we spoke to today that Tony Podesta has been offered immunity by Robert Mueller to testify against Paul Manafort,” reported Carlson.
The Daily Caller News Foundation has not independently confirmed the report.
Podesta, whose brother is Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, worked with Manafort’s consulting firm in 2012 on a project to help a Ukrainian non-profit group that supported then-Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych.
Manafort has been indicted on numerous counts of conspiracy and fraud related to the work, which ended two years before the longtime Republican operative joined the Trump campaign.

Just hours before the Trump-Putin summit, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein released indictments of 12 Russian spies identified by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Only one problem: the indictments were rehashed accusations from the House Intelligence Committee's months-old report. The timing of the indictments raise questions about the DOJ's intentions with respect to the Trump-Putin summit. Further, as Andrew C. McCarthy points out, 26 of the total 32 subjects indicted by Mueller are unlikely to ever see the inside of a U.S. courtroom. Highlighting the partisan nature of the DOJ's actions, the indictments themselves omit attempted hacks of Republican individuals and organizations.QOTD:

Robert Mueller’s investigation into the 2016 presidential election is predicated on Russian intelligence having hacked the Democratic National Committee’s computers. Russia’s guilt is such an article of faith among our political class, that a Republican-controlled Congress imposed sanctions and President Trump signed on, substantially worsening relations with an important and potentially dangerous nation.
Outside the Acela Corridor, however, one finds more skepticism.
A lot of ordinary folks wonder why the DNC wouldn’t let any outside parties examine their server. Instead, the FBI accepted the word of CrowdStrike, a private contractor hired by the DNC, without any independent confirmation.
And a bunch of not so ordinary folks who know a thing or two about computers thinks there may be a simple explanation for the DNC’s unwillingness to let outsiders have a peek at the evidence: There isn’t any. The Russian hacking that’s caused so much division and turmoil at home and abroad never really happened. It was all a ruse.

Most disturbing, Mueller never investigated the extent of Strzok's taint on any evidence he brought to Mueller. Didn't even seem curious. Remember:Strzok poured the foundation of Mueller's case & also convinced him to interview Steele & use his Clinton-funded dossier as a roadmap
