The network coverage of the testimony of National Security Council staffer Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman as a “bombshell” and “damning” was laughable and dishonest, implying that his service to his country wearing its uniform made him a credible and unbiased witness without a political agenda. Particularly egregious were the comments of NBC News anchor Lester Holt, who equated wartime courage with peacetime candor. As Newsbusters noted:

The latest FOIA (Freedom of Information) documents released by the FBI regarding Hillary Clinton's private email server are mindblowing.

It now appears that Clinton consigliere Huma Abedin bold-face lied to FBI investigators and -- because we live in a two-tier justice system -- she wasn't charged.

To set a little context, we now know that a variety of foreign adversaries hacked Hillary Clinton's server, dispatching every email she sent and received to -- among others -- the People's Republic of China.

Here are five key elements curiously absent from Robert Mueller's Special Counsel Report.

1. Who leaked the Flynn-Kislyak conversation to the press?
Authorized to pursue any criminal activity arising from his investigation, Mueller somehow overlooked the felony leak of the recorded conversation between Gen. Michael Flynn and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak to The New York Times. Why?

2. Why were no Obama-era intel officials interviewed for a report supposedly about Russian interference in the election?
From Susan Rice telling officials concerned about Russian cyberwarfare activities to "stand down" to John Brennan's bizarre interactions with "Five Eyes" allies, Mueller's report is utterly silent (Hat tip: Mark Levin).

3. Why were Russian Lawyer Veselnitskaya's meeting with Fusion GPS before and after the Trump Tower meeting omitted?
According to Senate transcripts, Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson met with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya both the day before and the day after her 6/9/16 meeting with Donald Trump, Jr. at Trump Tower.

4. Why no mention of bias and untoward behavior of investigators removed from the Special Counsel?
At least four of Mueller's investigators (Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Kevin Clinesmith, and Sally Moyer) were removed from the Special Counsel due to various untoward and/or possibly illegal activities. Mueller's report never explains why, nor how his team addressed chain of custody or spoliation.

5. How can it be that the "hacking" of the DNC server was never investigated?
With all of the various Russian actors named by Mueller, somehow he and his investigators never got around to the original "hacking" of the DNC. According to James Comey, the Democrat National Committee never allowed federal investigators to physically access their compromised server.

This is curious FBI deference to a political entity that one Donald J. Trump was never afforded.

SPECIAL COUNSEL IMPLICATED IN #SPYGATE: More Mueller Skulduggery Offers New Reasons to Shut it All Down

Two events this week could provide acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker enough reason to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller: The egregious case against General Michael Flynn and the mishandling of cell phones used by FBI lovers Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.

According to the federal guidelines for special counsel investigations, “the Attorney General may remove a Special Counsel for misconduct, dereliction of duty, incapacity, conflict of interest, or for other good cause, including violation of Departmental policies.”

Since Mueller’s obvious conflicts of interest have been overlooked—including his ties to former FBI Director James Comey, his service under the Obama administration, and a team of biased prosecutors—“other good cause” could be the failure to produce court-ordered documents related to the Flynn case or the special counsel’s office scrubbing the iPhones used by Strzok and Page during their brief time on the team, or both.

THE CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY OF THE CENTURY: "Makes Watergate look like a third-rate burglary"

As Fox News has reported, Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe has rescheduled his testimony before the House Intelligence Committee with the Justice Department telling the network that it was due to a “routine scheduling error.” More likely it is due to the need for everyone to get their stories straight as the details of the fix that was in for Hillary Clinton are being, er… unmasked and the details of the deep state coup against President Trump bubble to the surface from the depths of the swamp:

…Fox News was told by those familiar with the matter that the intelligence committee is suspicious of the purported scheduling error. One source said they believe the schedule issue arose after Fox News' report Monday night on Department of Justice official Bruce Ohr.

Ohr was recently demoted from one of his two senior posts. Fox News reported that Ohr’s wife, Nellie Ohr, worked through last fall for Fusion GPS, which was behind the anti-Trump dossier…

“McCabe has an Ohr problem,” one congressional source said.

LAWRENCE SELLIN: American Gestapo

Any government agency with law enforcement and surveillance authority that uses those powers for political purposes is the definition of a secret police, no better than the Nazi Gestapo or the Soviet KGB.

There is indeed probable cause to conclude, meaning indictable offenses, that employees of the Department of Justice and/or the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), sympathetic to the Democrat Party, used the power of their offices and with the assistance of foreign nationals to influence the 2016 election in favor of Hillary Clinton, first to exonerate her and then obtain information to prevent the election of Donald Trump or to provide a basis for his impeachment should he win.

It is also abundantly clear from the Congressional investigations involving the Department of Justice and the FBI that those institutions of government are protecting themselves at the expense of transparency and accountability to the American people.

In other words, the government employees involved consider the survival of the Deep State more important than the survival of the Constitution. That is the definition of tyranny.

President Trump had a great response to the hysterical Democrat public relations flacks (you know, the guys who call themselves "journalists") who questioned his approval of Wikileaks' DNC disclosures during the campaign while decrying the wiretaps of Gen. Mike Flynn.

His point was exactly right: John Podesta's Gmail account isn't a classified government system. Hillary Clinton's private bathroom email server isn't a classified government system.

The wiretaps that helped take down Flynn related to his private (and, by the way, perfectly legitimate) conversations with foreign leaders.

With all that said, the only Oversight Committee in Washington -- Judicial Watch -- is chasing the leaker(s) like a pitbull after a filet mignon.
