An Open Letter to Roger Waters (and Joe Rogan)

Musician Roger Waters, who appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast last week, is a powerful advocate for the BDS Movement (Boycott, Divest and Sanction). BDS is intended to eradicate the state of Israel by strangling it economically.

Raised in a far left household, Waters appears to have many misconceptions about the Jewish people and Israel. Given the reach of the JRE podcast, it is imperative to share the truth.

What really happened in the Middle East?

Nice try, but you can't reason with people like Roger Waters and the rest of the BDS types. They single out the Jewish state, even though there are 50+ Arab states that are apartheid states by their definition. The only route forward for Israel is to hang tough and defeat their enemies.

RE: An Open Letter to Roger Waters (and Joe Rogan)

Say Doug, next time you're in Boston MA stop by the Mary Baker Eddy Library, next to the Christian Science Monitor HQ, and visit The Mapparium (after paying the admission).

Built by Jewish glass craftsmen who fled 1930's Germany it is a hollow glass sphere showing the nations of the world as they were in 1935.

Admire the craftsmanship: Worthy of any cathedral's artistic stained glass window.

Admire the acoustics: Thanks to the acoustics of a perfect glass sphere, you could hear normal conversation, silence, or even someone's voice right next to you despite them standing on the opposite side of the room, depending on where you and they stand.

Admire the map: And while doing so look for Israel. You won't find it, it didn't exist in 1935. Instead, you'll find "Palestine". And who lived in Palestine? "Palestinians".

I'd show you a photo of the map, but photos aren't allowed inside The Mapparium.

As to my opinions on the Israeli / Palestinian issue I'll save them for a possible future entry in my blog.

Just saying.

Hey Museman - you're correct. In 1935. it was called Palestine, and Palestinians lived there. You know another name for the Palestinians in 1935? They were also called Jews.
